  1. On a non-storyline, purely zombies' experience, related note, how scary was this for everyone? If I'm honest, I just kind of laughed a bit when I saw it. Cool find, without a doubt, but fear to me is not a jump scare.
  2. Looks like I'm going to have to wait on a real series Origins run until this! I wonder what you'll be cutting out in terms of set-up. If I had to guess, I'd say Wind Staff as well digging for the golden shovel? With the use of the Semtex strategy over by the Speed Cola generator?
  3. Definitely brought back a lot of memories reading one of your brain dumps man. Great stuff, glad to see you found time for Origins. Going to be using your ideas and thought process in the next few games of Origins I play. Great to hear from you, old friend.
  4. Hi everyone. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but as a staff, we decided that while all of the submissions were well-designed, they just didn't have what we were looking for. We wanted something minimalist with a retro zombies feel that is very CoDz. Something like our current avatar but of a better design, a fresh take on an old topic. That combo of retro combined with fresh was something we didn't see in the submissions, so we were unable to pick a winner. Thank you very much for all of your entries; feel free to try again at your leisure. We are still looking for a new avatar, but we won't be openly broadcasting a contest. If you have something that fits what we want, send it our way, and we'll see if it fits. Thanks again.
  5. I really agree with the part about being some Joe and getting high rounds. Definitely a great map to challenge yourself. It seems like with all the other BO 2 maps you had to find things to make it hard for yourself whereas with this one you can really just feel the difficulty all around you. Yet, like all great games, the challenge is rewarding, which it definitely appears to be with this map.
  6. Bravo. Incredible theory. Great work man. That's all there is to be said; I completely agree. Initially, I despised the cutscene; I thought it ruined everything for me. But with time came understanding, and this thread seals the deal for me. I love how the MOTD hidden Easter Egg song quote ties into this, too: "Let go, and the beginning becomes an end." Maybe we really have broken the cycle. I just hope we get to find out.
  7. Updated with a complete Easter Egg video guide from LiamFTWinter!
  8. Haven't seen anything of it on YouTube, but I know there are those who claim to have done it. It's just really hard to believe anything without the legitimate proof these days. It's great how challenging it is though!
  9. The easter egg has been officially completed. Some better proof from @LiamFTWinter opihOCeaZp8 Now discuss this amazing easter egg.
  10. Actually no, this is a youtuber by the same name who has several videos on the Easter Egg. He's just trolling Liam, probably. No need to flame him. Just thought I'd put that here so this thread isn't spammed with questions and stuff. J2OZ-gvjOoo
  11. Until there is definitive proof of the actual Egg being completed, the ending is considered a leak. CoDz is affiliated with Carbonfibah, and always will be. He is the founder of this site, and he works for Treyarch. By extension we are inextricably linked to Treyarch. In fact, we actually have several Treyarch employees, like MaTtKs, a designer at Treyarch, on our forum. For that reason, among many others, leaks will never be allowed on this site, let alone discussion, leaking, and spoiling of the ending to one of the hardest and biggest Easter Eggs ever. Not before it's officially completed. It doesn't matter who completes it first, but until there is viable and legitimate footage out there, not some ripped and extracted file, our forum, a forum that has direct ties to Treyarch, cannot be seen as supporting leaks and information that was obtained in a deceptive way. [tab][/tab]Have a nice day.
  12. No 5th staff. Technically there are 8 staffs, 4 elemental, which are then upgraded to four ultimate staffs. There are 4 characters, 4 elements, and 4 players. No reason there would be a 5th staff. Everyone is so far along into the Easter Egg, so there's no way that there would be an unneeded 5th staff. Furthermore, Samantha in the EE even comments on how these ALL these 4 staffs are not the true power (which leads us to keep pushing towards building the ultimate staffs).
  13. Will be making updates tomorrow morning when I wake up! Make sure you post everything you think needs updating in the OP. Thanks everyone.
  14. Hey guys, I just updated the original post in order to show all the Easter Egg steps we know so far using what you guys have given us! Keep giving us great information, and hopefully we can continue to make this thread even better for you all. Who knows, if the original posts ends up with even more great information from you all, we could get some serious traffic if we tweet this potentially amazing thread out!
  15. I think you can. I really do. Watch the video I posted just up there in the thread, and the steps seem to indicate that you can achieve the challenges and such solo and 2 player.
  16. This is pretty effective and complements the notion of shooting him in the face like MMX said.
  17. Ultimate Staff of Ice is Ull's Arrow. Thanks for putting this together. Might want to add a couple videos for reference in your next update if you want to! EDIT: Ull is the Norse god of snowshoes, hunting, etc.
  18. Actually no, there's a team that's doing it with 3 people!
  19. Ultimate Staffs (very rough tutorial, but my theory is that you can make each one as you please)
  20. ALL ULTIMATE STAFFS GAMEPLAY (not actually how to make them though):
  21. This is the sentiment that is the result of treyarch making all the other maps in black ops 2 waayyyyyyy too damn easy. MotD is the only one that can even compare difficulty wise and thats mainly because it has no bank or fridge. Treyarch conditioned the masses of zombies players to expect loading up a game and within one door purchase having 30,000 points and a pack a punched gun. Thank God they made origins like they did... it may put off some of the casual fans who just liked paralyzing in green mist for hours but it is a genius map that is very difficult and provides even the most seasoned zombie slayers with a genuine challenge I couldn't agree more, birdman. Well said. The challenge is definitely something I look forward to. I want my senses to be tested. I want to, when I feel comfortable, a Panzer to spawn or have Templar zombies try to destroy the power areas. There is a difference between unnecessarily annoying and properly challenging. The ultimate staffs are here for a purpose. They are amazing weapons, that do make things significantly easier it appears, but what makes Origins so great is that you have the challenge of surviving and amassing enough points to really get to that point. That same feeling of doing well on a map like Verruckt and Shang seems to be here as well.
  22. Wow, this is a great thread. I can't wait to get more and more info. Really appreciate this. This thread is a more personal catalog, but I'm sure you can find some stuff to add. After the next big update, definitely going to give this a sticky. viewtopic.php?f=155&t=35646
  23. Awesome job, really useful information here! Great repository that I hope we can all build on. I've also seen someone get Double Tap from the Random Perk Machine, by the way.
  24. I've seen a couple people with 5 perks on this map. How does that work? Is there a legitimate way to get more than 4 perks?
