  1. I knew it. I made the right choice after all. Didn't have to waste $20.
  2. How Lenne feels: Congrats, buddy. Livin the dream for someone only able to really get on on the weekends.
  3. Betting it's Dead Ops, but it would be nice if it was something new.
  4. MGSV is taking it's sweet time arriving in the mail today.... goddammit, arrive already!

  5. Sophomore year of college has begun /sadface.

  6. Think it's the lighting. Bad lighting can really make things look like absolute shit. I've noticed that in other games, and looking at those zombie images, you can kinda see how they look a little shiny and fake. They don't look altogether bad in this case, though. Richtofen and Nikolai do look really good, that may be because of the map's lighting being different, or they're just in a place where the lighting doesn't affect them too much.
  7. Got my wisdom teeth pulled today. Not being able to eat solid food really sucks. It's not even the pain. Also, got myself Bloodborne as a getting my wisdom teeth pulled reward.

It took me forever just to get past that first giant group of huntsman, and when I finally found the shortcut past them I was so relieved. May not have been a boss, but damn felt like it with the amount of times I had to repeat that part.

The two actual bosses I've fought have been pretty cool, though. Cleric Beast got me good a couple of times.

Man how are you even playing a game on the meds they give you for wisdom teeth?

I'm not even using meds, lol. I barely feel the pain. Still can't eat solid food despite that, gets caught in the holes where the teeth once were.

  8. As far as moon goes with the decay of technology and all that, I think we kind of just have to suspend our disbelief. I mean, there's bits of 1000 year old flesh on the templar zombies in origins, to me at least it's not hard to believe the tech survived being untouched. Though at the same time, given that the nevada base had a teleporter to the moon, it may well be possible that the americans DID take over the base, and that's why the tech didn't decay.
  9. The biggest problem with the zombies story is that people make it more complicated than it needs to be. Why is Nuketown in the 60s when Die Rise takes place past 96? Life doesn't just go on like that after an earth shattering explosion. Not to mention Marlton's knowledge of future weapons, a calculator on him which places the timeline past the 70s, etc. Sometimes, the simple answer is the best. It's in 2025 (or at least past the 2000s most likely).
  10. Isn't it obvious? It's a hentai monster from them there chinese cartoons. It's certainly got enough tentacles...
  11. Shit, well there goes any chance I had. I should have just booked mine to reserve it just in case I decided to go through with it. Welp, maybe hardened then.
  12. I guess what it really boils down to is that randoms suck, not buildables or even the set up. I almost never play with randoms anymore, so I can't I have any of the issues you do with this stuff.
  13. Okay, here's the thing: They never really were necessary. Most of them were actually pretty useless, too. As far as getting set up goes, the good ones never took that look to find the parts for and build. You're REALLY exaggerating things. In tranzit, the turbine was all in one room. Pretty much the same with the shield, the most worthwhile buildables. In Die Rise, okay, I'll admit, the trample steam was a pain to put together. Sliquifier was meh, but the parts were near each other. in MOTD, relatively near each other, AND you could pick em all up at once. in Buried, it was just a pain to sort em all out, but none of em were really necessary to build. Regardless, it hardly takes an hour when you know what you're doing. In Origins, you had the 2 buildables and the staves. You don't really need to get all the staves, and the other two aren't difficult to find parts for. I just find it funny how you say this stuff is necessary. None of it is necessary, except the turbine in tranzit really. You can play in whatever way you so choose. You don't HAVE to build everything. You do not need to get the one inch punch and stuff like that. With that said I agree that there shouldn't be as much locked down in the easter egg (and that the EE shouldn't be so in your face). It's just, don't act like you have to have everything to survive. You don't. Honestly if you want to get far in zombies that is it's main goal you do kinda need the wonder weapons and you need to upgrade them. In Black Ops II imo it just took way too much time to set everything up before you could actually "play". Then lets go through em again Tranzit- Doesn't have a good one Die Rise- Parts are in the same room MOTD- Box gun, or optional from the EE Buried- Box gun Origins- This is the only one I'll give you. Building the staves themselves isn't necessarily an issue (and you don't really need to get em all to upgrade them), but the upgrading is a pain in the ass. IMO, the set up is actually the best part of the game, because it isn't just running around in circles killing zombies. It's building yourself up. There are some cases where it gets tiresome, though. In particular, Buried. It's basically just waiting for the booze to spawn to keep going forwards. Everything else, though? Fun. I think some people forget that they can keep going through rounds while doing some of the objectives. Risky? Maybe, but it's more fun than running around in circles all day.

  15. Making the staves was not an issue really. Upgrading them was a pain in the ass. To everyone else, Buildables and complex maps 4 lyfe. Not to be a dick or anything, but many of the first few BO maps felt nearly exact to one another. That does not make for good replayablity. At this point in time, we need more complexity to keep the gamemode alive, or that's how I look at it. Buildables help with that. And lets be real here, the only map you NEEDED buildables on was Tranzit. You don't need to do any of it to get set up on any other map. There's plenty of alternatives.
  16. I thought buildables were fine. I'd rather be given more stuff to do, it makes zombies more fun to get into rather than doing the same old shit as in other maps. The more new stuff the better. They do need to go more subtle on the EEs, I miss the old notes and radios from the WaW days.
  17. I don't mind. I stand by my belief that the community needs to reset itself in order to finally be taken seriously. Reset itself? Good one, bro. By the way, no matter what way you look at it the community will never be taken seriously even if it DOES change. Even though CoD is relatively decent at trying new things in every game, people still shit on it and say absolutely nothing has changed. You expect people to think differently of the community? Pffft, good one, dude.
  18. @Stop mocking me0 I looked on amazon, and it was a digital code, so yeah, it's digital. @tresstheman That would've been me 3 years ago, but I've got other games I want to play just as badly if not more now. Can't afford to be stupid with my money.
  19. Back in E3 2013, they made every mistake possible while revealing the Xbone. $500, mandatory kinect, had to be always online (this was the biggest issue), in addition to not being able to sell used games among other smaller issues. Basically, that E3, PS4 annihilated it, and everyone wrote off the xbone. Fortunately for microsoft, at the last minute they had common sense and reversed many of those (I believe they dropped kinect and the price later on, though).
  20. Don't forget different exclusive games. Btw, your avatar, 10/10. I used to use that one.
  21. I would've, but it's digital, man. I can't stand digital. Plus, it's still cheaper for me to wait till christmas.
  22. Well you can defiantly justify the price. 60$ game+ 50$ seasons pass+ bonus content + coasters + Box + functioning perk mini-fridge worth at least 80-100$. I was gonna try and wait till christmas to get BO3, so it would have been about $100 to get the full experience with PS+ and the season pass. Getting this is $250 total plus tax, and while I do get a shit ton with it, add that to the 2 other games I'm planning on getting myself this year and it adds up to $370 plus tax. Without a job, that is a shit ton, and while I do have a decent amount of money in the bank, I can't be spending that amount. Gotta think about how I use my money. I'm gonna try and work out something with my dad since after all, I do get a pretty useful minifridge.
  23. I do have an honest question though for any PS4 owners. Is there any specific reason you chose a PS4 over an xbox one other than just console loyalty? maybe someone who bought one that previously only owned an xbox? They seem identical to me. except for the controller and the interfaces. The games. I just feel like there's a wider variety on sony consoles than on Microsoft consoles from previous experience. That, and I've just always bought playstation, so... I guess it's a little bit of console loyalty, but I've just had no reason to switch. The exclusive games would be my biggest reason for staying.
  24. I really want one, but I can't justify it for that price. $200, plus paying for PS+ just to get online. Gotta keep my priorities straight since I didn't get a job this summer.
  25. I'll just end both your arguments right here and now so you can both direct your anger to me: Mario Kart is the only racing game that matters. I guess I should try getting this thread back on track... DLC on PS4 isn't really a good thing or a bad thing. It's nice for us playstation fanboys to finally get it first, but it doesn't particularly matter. CoD on both consoles is riddled with annoying 10 year olds, that isn't gonna change by switching consoles. As for xbox fans, if this rubs you the wrong way, know that it was just as bad for us when this DLC shit began. It shouldn't even be a thing. Regardless, get over it. Expand your horizons and play other games in the meantime. It's not that long of a wait.
