Sorry for the double post, but I cropped the caption image and even generated a meme for it, which should help a lot. http://memegenerator.net/Zombie-Fever -
The Summer CoDz Fundraiser Challenges *PRIZES* ENTER NOW!
Undead replied to Shooter's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Haha I absolutely love this, I'll be sure to get on the caption one ASAP, once I started the Meme thread, I couldn't stop. This will be fun! Very well done Shooter and Tac, my regards to your both for your excellent ideas to bettering the forums and gathering the community. I love to see this stuff come together and Iook forward to the results. ;) -
Using Character Colors to Your Advantage
Undead replied to Ehjookayted's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I guess they don't call him Doctor Richtofen for no reason! Interesting discovery Eye, good work! :) -
Hey, none taken. I was actually attempting to change my signature when I realized I can't even keep half of it. As I mentioned, I obviously understand things such as large/multiple images slowing things down and all, but when even an image that is only 200 x 200 is still 8 lines too big, I feel as though I'm pressured down to a user bar for a sig and that's it, regardless of file size. I'm pretty disappointed I've made about several dozen signatures specifically for CoDz, all of which, probably are no longer able to be used.
-
So, I noticed the signature restrictions were pretty beefed up, I can't seem to do anything now. As it stands, my current signature display apparently breaks like 8 rules, lol. Any particular reason all these restrictions have been added? I understand size restrictions, but it's hammering me on file size, lines, and all sorts of other stuff that honestly seems pointless to me.

Great to see that there has been at least one giant step by allowing previous winners to re-enter for UOTM again. I'll still push for the staff to be included, but next month will definitely broaden up the list a bit. Great work, Staff. ;)

I miss the good ol days when Phx was only a mod. OH SNAP! For me, I'd say it would have to be be all the amazing opportunities I've been able to participate in this past little while. I actually wasn't even around for about 4 months of the year, quite frankly for being apart of the "Brony war" as mentioned. I'm just glad that's behind me and all of us. I've been over at my other forums for nearly 6 years, some people there still treat me with the crap I put up with due to issues I had with them within the first 6 months of registration and yet, here's CoDz, willing to give me a chance to redeem myself and repair any burnt bridges. We have an amazing community here, from outstanding contributions, ideas, mega threads, to just an overall friendly atmosphere. Keep it up, CoDz. ;)

I'm liking this feed back, I can completely visualize some of the listed examples as far as ideas go for weather/environment. A zombies map certainly could use some thunderstorms and heavy rain or even forming tornadoes as well as eerie map features such as dark hallways where almost the only light you see is the glow of the zombies eyes. :)
-
Honestly my only question is where do you find the patience? :D
-
There is really no chronological order here, I suppose it would fit either way, I just like the idea of switching crews and having a legitimate "Zombie Warfare" map. :)
-
Okay CoDz, here's a different one for ya; In Blops, we were introduced to some different type of maps with a completely different and new crew for the sake of changing things up a bit. All the story purpose aside, having the option to play as a different cast was fun, risky for Treyarch, but a refreshing fun idea nonetheless. I personally hate Five, but purely for the layout, the idea itself was very clever. Same goes for COTD, which IMO, would have been ten times better without "Zombrero" as I like to call him, getting in the way. Anyways, I've thought about some ideas in the past, one specifically I would like to share again as we're now approaching the zombie season again and am interested in seeing what you guys come up with as potential "bonus" maps with exotic settings and a new crew. Be as specific as you please. So, here's mine, based on the idea that worlds collide with Treyarch going futuristic: Well that's all I got for now, I'll tweak/add stuff as it comes to me. Hope you enjoyed! :)
-
Criticism is good, so no worries. I understand where you are coming from, but I'd like to exercise the idea on behalf that we don't really have much of a background on any of the special zombies, they are basically just "there", I think given that we have already been introduced CoD's version of "Special infected" by adding this stronger "boss" zombies, it would be only appropriate to give them more of a scare-type entrance for the fun of it. Try this for example: Say as part of the EE or accessing a new part of a map, (remember the nova/gas zombies in Kino?) what if they made it so it was more involved and the crew accidentally released the new type of zombie, or stumbled on to a restricted point in the map, thus creating this zombie?
-
Thanks for the input guys. Another idea that comes immediately to mind in scare mechanics is it would be really creepy and cool to also add more corpses half eaten or missing limbs scattered around the map from soldiers/civilians before the crew got there. And on top of that, imagine coming across a blood-stained wall with dead soldier slouched against it, intestines missing and all, then after so many rounds, you come back to the spot only to find out it's gone and a new blood trail. Stuff like that where things change as time and rounds (or even EE) progress. I'd like to see some kind of prison map, where there's a specific room where you can see inside a patted room and a seemingly dead person chained or wrapped in a straight jacket. About five rounds later or after a specific EE step, pass the area again only to see flickering lights, blood, broken class and a door busted off the hinges with no chained/restricted man inside anymore. Now that would be a hell of a way to introduce a new special type of zombie.

With some of the threads floating about with ideas, I figured I'd express some of mine and steal ZOTD's formula a little bit here. Some of these ideas I've had for sometime now and have voiced before, but with the zombie season underway again, figured it was time for a refresh. So, here's my ideas and hopes for future maps to come: Map Environment/Weather Conditions - Alternating Weather Patterns Much like COTD, how we not only had our first map with a snowy atmosphere, but one with a nasty fog that would roll in about every 5 minutes or so. I personally love that the most, the thought of leading a train of sprinting zombies, some even faster that you when given extra strength from Romero, was a refreshing "scare" feature they brought into the map when you could barely see about ten feet in front of you when running around out in the open spaces of the frozen iceberg wasteland. Now, as most of you might agree, Verruckt is by far, one of the creepiest zombie maps to date with the atmosphere between the setting alone, the screams and the fact that you're fighting to survive against undead Nazi's of all things in an asylum. I wanna see Treyarch bring that factor back again. For those who have played L4D 2, the campaign "Hard Rain" was pretty damn intense when running back in flooding rain, I'd like to see a map where the rain pours intensely, hail rains down or even some heavy thunderstorms while fighting off hordes of raving zombies. Which, brings me to my next wish: - Scare Mechanics One thing the zombies maps sorely lacked after Verruckt and Der Riese was more scary elements scattered around the map itself. Seeing those mannequins in Verruckt all shish-ka-bob'ed with butcher knifes, the bloody with the arm in the middle of it, the chair, etc. Or Der Riese, that shadow of the Teddy Bear still creeps me out, or hearing Samantha curse you when you throw the monkey in the furnace, the hanging man (in both SNN and Der Riese) stuff like that was perfect for those maps. As fun as the big EE's are, I miss a lot of those smaller stuff that originally sent a chill down my spine when I first noticed them. I'd like to see more stuff like that laid around the map, even some of the classic stuff such as scary noises, whispers or hell, flickering lights in a narrow hallway. Perhaps even bring an ultimate scare by introducing some paranormal activity type stuff in there that spontaneously happens during gameplay, stuff that really messes with ya in the middle of trying to survive because realistically, I know I'd be that jumpy if I were fighting off zombies to survive, and shit in the movies always seem to go out at the worst possible moment, haha. - Environmental Hazards As I previously stated in other ideas in the past, I'd like to see the actual, physical map play a portion into how the game is played. From starting rockfalls, to burning bridges, things that would ultimately effect the way you survive for better, or for worse. Everyone seems to have a set strategy that they are confident will work for each map, and follow that to try and reach their goals. While that's fun and dandy, I'd like to see a map where the way the players effect the map, ultimately effects how you play, where you loop, and what is available for the ultimate survival challenge. Imagine a map where every time you played, it was different. It probably wouldn't be super complex, but there could possibly even be those games where it's like "What happens if that giant tree blocks off the Juggernog machine?" The answer; "Oh well...." I'd also like to see much like in Moon, where you basically needed the helmet to survive, have a map where it is pitch black, and you start with a flashlight to even navigate through specific parts of the map, then if you find night vision goggles, you're in better hands. Stuff like that would be really fun and new for zombies.

Samantha In The Black Ops II Zombies Story?
Undead replied to KyleTheZombieSlayer's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I honestly hope we get some kinda cutscene puzzle solving type clip that doesn't necessarily reveal and answer all the questions right then and there, but actually brings a definite direction or solid idea of what might have actually happened. I just wanna see some stinking cutscenes and less radios honestly. lol -
Kinda had a shitty start when I first got the game, but I've got a 1.09 I believe.
-
Lol it's amusing to me that CoDz now has "God" and "Logic" in the community. :D
-
Wrong, you mean mother nature. ;)
-
Honestly, the knifes in general are next to pretty fuckin useless after the mid 20's or so, even if you've gotta bowie/sickle. Their should at least be some way to upgrade the bowie knife if not have a perk that increases the damage of them. I also think it would cool if you had the bowie/sickle that zombies would occasionally "jump" you and you can decapitate or shank their neck, similar to when a dog pounces on you.
-
Okay, seriously, just stop. Stop it. STOP BEING SO GODDAMN AMAZING AND DETAILED IN YOUR THREADS! You makes me feel lazeh! D:
-
This x10. We all basically bought the WaW maps twice. At this point, they should just be available or auto-transfer to Blops 2 if we bought the maps on Blops. There's no way I'm forking over an extra 20 bucks for the something three times. If anything, they might just do the same thing they did before, however have it be the Blops maps instead. However I'm fairly certain people will complain about wanting all maps on one game, which, I'm right there with them, I just don't wanna have to play for all of them again.

Character Customization in Black Ops 2: Zombies
Undead replied to EliteAlexFTW's topic in General Zombies Discussion
This kinda fits in with the whole adding XP to zombies idea that's been floating around. I'd say leave it out of the "classic/original" zombie mode at least, because it would be unfair and uneven to give someone the option to start out with an upper hand, however this I could see working well with the 4v4 idea. -
Honestly change is exactly what zombies needs. Treyarch has added so much to zombies since day one, that there is only so much more they can do before they just overload the zombies we know and love. People have been passing around ideas for different modes for zombies, and now they are delivering. As long as "classic" zombies is still around, round-based only zombie slaying goodness, then everyone should be happy.
-
I will leave a flaming bag of dog shit on Treyarch's door step if they do.
