Because it's in the Graveyard. Let me post the thread information:
-
I think this is a great idea to reboot. The only major concern I see is determining certain time schedules for everyone, but the original thread just had a basic time period that people can play per slayer (I'd stick to that honestly). I just hope that this doesn't turn into a secondary teammate finder ordeal. Also, should people also list what their typical zombie objectives are? For example, doing Easter Egg/Side Quests, challenges, high rounds, misc.? That way, everyone gets a good shot in doing several tasks.

Hello to all Zombie Lovers I'm HERO_1775!
InfestLithium replied to HERO_1775's topic in Introductions
Welcome to the community, friendo! Did you know that zombiebreakroom is a very good friend of CoDz? We love what they've created and continue supporting them. If you want to learn more about them and possibly even help them in some way, check out this thread by them: viewtopic.php?f=93&t=30220 Happy slaying! :) -
Bienvenidos al foro, friendo! La mayoría de nosotros no habla español, ya que se habla principalmente Inglés. De todas formas, espero que tengas un tiempo maravilloso aquí, y seguir matando zombies! :)

This usually happens after you have done a couple steps towards the Pop Goes the Weasel achievement. That is, if you've rode the plane at least 4 times at this point.

Green Flash on MOTD Grief (Perma Perk?)
InfestLithium replied to Onesiphorus935's topic in Mob of the Dead
Interesting, because persistent upgrades don't happen in Grief matches... It doesn't seem to be related to headshots, meleeing, repairing the barricades, or anything other than simply shooting into the zombie. -
I don't believe you can, just because of this: I'm positive that there's a workaround for it, and I'll look into it more. I have a feeling that it is only by home country (meaning U.S. purchases can only be gifted to those in the U.S.).

Great work and research done here, friendo! I thought the connection of Reznov to the Ak-47 was because that was the weapon he used throughout the Vorkuta mission, but I could be wrong. There are some very, very interesting relations between the face and his own. Even if it's a mere allusion, it's an interesting Easter Egg nonetheless. +1 :)

Friendos! We need more submissions, or else you lose your chance to win the free soundtrack. This is something you don't want to pass up. It doesn't hurt to win something for free - what is to lose? ;)

They don't. It seems to be a joke on certain things. Prisoners would attempt to swim away from the island only to be captured or never seen again. As for the other titles...possibly a reference towards different ways in escaping the island.

Connection between black ops 2 zombies maps
InfestLithium replied to Killer9pie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Welcome to the community, friendo! I think they have been trying to aid those who have a hard time in recovering themselves from previous sticky situations. Tombstone is such a great flop only because it's on a map that is way to expansive considering how far each station is. There is no easy way to get your tombstone unless you are lucky enough to spawn right next to it. Who's Who is perfect for Die Rise. The awkward vertical layout made it hard for teammates to come and revive you, so you now have a second chance to save yourself and whatever you had on you. Mob of the Dead had a ton of things going on for the new Afterlife touch, but it did act as a secondary quick revive for the player. -
That's correct. I've killed not even one before heading to the bridge, and I've been able to get the Hell's Redeemer multiple times. If you stay on the bridge for at least two whole rounds with using only the Hell's Retriever, you should be able to throw the tomahawk into the portal every time.

Upgrade Hells Retriever To Hells Redeemer Guide
InfestLithium replied to MrCaffiene82's topic in Mob of the Dead
I'm not sure where everyone is throwing theirs, but I usually go underneath the set of stairs on the way to the Warden's Office (near one of the power switches) and if you look where there ought to be a cell, there is some tables/debris and the portal right across from it. You can throw the Hell's Retriever easily from there, and it seems to work every time given you did the bridge part correctly. -
That would be incredible. You could do one side and have a special map completing this storyline. Back to the O4: couldn't we possibly have another scenario of Call of the Dead, where we assist the original crew in some fashion? I can't fathom how we could help them, but we may encounter evidence/trails of them in the next map and not necessarily expect to have them in the Side Mission.

Frustrated - BO II Double Slaps - Plz Help
InfestLithium replied to jokrAzrael's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Well, there are actually quite a few differences I have noticed as well since Black Ops II was released. It certainly is a tad harder than expected, but Black Ops is much worse as World at War is the ultimate bad guy of difficulty. Some things I've noticed about BOII: [*:1478dqta]Double-slaps are very common now, sometimes happening in even one hit. It's been lessened over the years, but we still face the dilemma of windmilling zombies. It's funny, because the walkers are usually the ones at fault for this. [*:1478dqta]Speaking of walkers, those things will be your ultimate downfall. It's easier to train a good 20+ zombies in whatever path you choose to run, but the walkers will block that said path immediately without hesitation. [*:1478dqta]Zombies do not run in straight lines anymore. Ascension really popularized this with the side-stepping and barrelrolling zombies, but now it's permanent. You'll find that zombies will almost be side by side in conga lines, and rarely ever move straight towards you. In fact, once they reach you, they've become smarter in encircling you so there's no escape (if you dare to stop/trap yourself). [*:1478dqta]The hit detection for both the players and zombies is awkward. Sometimes you won't receive damage whatsoever, while other times one small hit can take you down even with Juggernog. I don't even know what to make of this. -
Welcome to the community, friendo! Ah, you found our Podcast der Toten thread? Wunderwa! You're a keeper. You're in a heavy metal band? What is the name of your group? I live out in Southern California, and I rarely let a band name slip from my grasp - especially the local ones. My first gameplay was on Kino der Toten as well. Funny how we can share so many things in common! I remember having the hardest time just making it beyond the Hellhound rounds...ah, the memories. I'm sure we'd all love to hear your input in any given discussion. We all speak the same language here (zombies), so you'll find yourself very well at home. Plus, we have such a friendly and active community. Enjoy your stay, and keep slayin'!

Very nice and detailed analysis, friendo! Lots of connections are being made to each lyric, so you need to heavily look at each part instead of trying to convey the overall meaning without linking things together. Great job. :)

You could try doing a few combinations in relation to any three-digits that may refer to something we've encountered so far in Zombies. Here is what we have: 115 935 872 101 386 481 Those combinations give us a reaction, whether they are songs or related to the Pop Goes the Weasel achievement.

888 is a reference to Jesus, as 777 is a reference to God, as 666 is a reference to the Devil. http://www.biblewheel.com/GR/GR_888.php

Bear in mind that we've never fully acknowledged what timeline Nuketown falls under. We know it happens at the same time of Moon, and we can't even figure out that date. We assume it's in the future because of certain events leading into Black Ops II. We hear Sam's Lullaby both in the loading screen of Moon and Nuketown's Easter Egg song. That is why we are guessing that there may or may not be a connection to Sam overall with this interesting find. I don't think Treyarch would slap on something like this for no reason; first a song and then how the camera changes direction to the sky? There's an allusion somewhere. And of course this map is recycling 1933; we keep reliving that year. All I am saying is that it is 1933 within the realm of Mob of the Dead, but for all we know it could be just a wee-bit later in the overall realm if the suggest scenario was true.
-
This is such a weird topic to try and explain. If we say that this map technically occurs post-1942, then we void the in-games reference of New Year's in the early 30's. Could the cycle be encompassed in, say, a bigger time orb? Let me try and draw it out the best I can. If this is true, then there are two scenarios that can come into play. Samantha could come into power immediately after, or has just gotten into the MPD on Moon but has not used her powers yet (reference to pointing to the sky). Crazy stuff is happening, that's for sure.

We did lose the amount of perks for the price of one brand new perk. There, we can see Mule Kick AND PhD Flopper taunting us in Mob of the Dead. I have a feeling if we really wanted to "revive" a perk, then another one that is crucial to us would take its place. Although I truly wish we could somehow get those perk machines on the boat working, it'll never happen.

Where is everyone getting this "Weasel made the formula"? It's been circulating around and I can't find the reason for it.
-
Most people have noticed that time just like you have. It really is interesting that Treyarch would actually use those numbers, and then re-use them once more for Where Are We Going.
-
So what can become of this? Are you saying this is interrelated time-wise, such as some event that is occurring to the O4 is happening during Mob of the Dead, or it's just hints towards what to expect in the next map?
