  1. I think it was the best way to put an end to the mess that the storyline became to be honest. You mention the past and future coming together earlier in your comment... this is why the storyline ran away with itself and is full of contradictions and mistakes, as well as abandoned ideas. We can speculate all day over it, but at the end of the day the storyline is a mess and was put together without any real consideration. The ending makes perfect sense seeing as we were running around a work full of magical perks, power-up drops that give up POINTS!?, insta-kills, Nukes, etc. Even the characters often broke the 4th wall in-game, referring to "the player" many times. Everything points to it being a game. The only way it will change is if Treyarch cave in and change it to suit the community again just like they did through out BO2, and if that is the case then expect the next zombie outing to feature the O4 again in all the maps (except maybe 1 celeb special), and it to have another poor storyline. People need to let go of this storyline and let them try something else. Either way, we will not know for sure for another 18 months.
  2. It's a decent theory, but there is a lot of stuff in the sequence that goes against it. Samantha is playing with the O4 in older dress, but she was going up against a MotD and Buried zombie with them. It also would be poor to just offer a sequence that was actually only supposed to be viewed as a metaphor. Interesting, but I just feel there is too much on show that suggests otherwise. Sorry.
  3. I just can't see them abandoning a game-mode that has proved to be hugely popular since it's birth. It generates far too much, and is the primary source of revenue for Treyarch's DLC. They would have to be really stupid to call time on it now. It's as Swapping says...Infinity Ward have tried the same tactic with Extinction, and I hear Sledgehammer have their own alternative game-mode coming too. Zombies will only end when it stops bringing in money.
  4. Well, the fact that Jimmy tweeted "Waiting makes the heart grow... BRAINS" is enough confirmation for me that there definitely IS going to be another zombie outing, then of course there is the massive revenue it generates also. Then there is Benn Down from PTG stating there is going to be more. We cannot take his word as 100% guaranteed confirmation, but his track record has been decent. Either way, I am fully confident on there definitely being more zombies to come.
  5. Well, the reason I feel it is somewhat contradictory is that all the way through the game, Richtofen writes off Agatha as a myth, something that drove his friend to insanity and cost him his life. He says he needs to build the staff to protect himself. Suddenly he drops this one quote out of nowhere and it just felt a little weird. If there were a few more to add to it to suggest a sudden change in opinion then fair enough. Still, Richtofen has a few strange quotes in that map. His quote where he says... "besides... I know what you really are Samantha". What does he think she is? He does not really elaborate on that one enough. There is a few other quotes but they mostly are just reworded versions of the same thing. I would have liked for him to expand on that one more. I do see where you are coming from though. In a 4 player game, you are part of the group and the other 3 have opted to try and help the girl, so Richtofen is tagging along with them despite his own personal disbelieves. Guess I maybe just play it on solo too often. lol
  6. Tried this a hundred or so times. Was inspired by the poster that showed the beams coming off the 'B Bus' lights. Tried deflecting the beams using shields, yada yada... Nothing worked. Beams go straight through the bus and do nothing. Almost 100% definite that they are a graphical glitch seeing as they cannot be produced on the PS3 or Wii U versions of Green Run.
  7. The gap in the sales between each console should not be taken too literal at the moment. There has been huge gulfs in the past during a consoles first year sales and they iron out pretty quickly when consoles drop to a more affordable price range. Let's not forget that there is millions of gamers who have stuck by their 360 still and will eventually upgrade, and it is almost certain they will purchase a One. The figure MS put out was 5,000,000 units, but that includes ones still in the possession of retailers, so technically unsold. PS4 figure of 7,000,000 is actual sold units, but again, this gulf will decrease when the One becomes a more viable option financially and from a game stance. As is, there is barely any decent games worth actually upgrading for, so it is not exactly an attractive market still.
  8. He does indeed say that, and I often found it very contradicting, seeing as Richtofen tells Samantha that "Agartha is a myth" many times, and that he "Does not believe in mythical realms... only science" Why if he does not believe in Agartha does he then suddenly tell Samantha that she will not prevent him reaching it? Either way, the quote is real.
  9. Pretty much how most games are starting to turn out unfortunately. Look at mobile gaming... you get a game that get's released and incredibly, it's FREE! It's not though. You see most of these games, like Dead Trigger 2, Theme Park, and most recently Dungeon Keeper all require the players to part with SERIOUS cash if they are to progress through the games properly. Certain features are also completely locked out unless payments are made. You basically get the shell of the game free but have to pay to play it for more than a few hours. EA are awful for it. They make a fortune of their ultimate team set up in FIFA. People spend thousands of pounds a month of the player packs, which I should note become absolutely useless and are not transferable from one game to the next in this annual series. My son has spent maybe... a few grand on his ultimate teams in the last 2 years. Ridiculous in this day and age that gaming has become a whoring mechanism. "If you want to touch me and play with me, you need to pay me. The more attractive I am, the more I charge" No wonder Facebook purchased Oculus... it has money maker written all over it.
  10. I think MotD is the best co-op map on BO2 easily. It had great balance to all the features, and when played with 4 people the setup was a breeze. I also felt it had the best visuals and atmosphere to it. Origins was too comic book like for me, but MotD introduced an atmospheric vibe not seen since Verruckt. My only drawback with the map is that it got really boring really quickly. I don't know why, but it seems to be the general feeling amongst most people. No one on my friends list seem to like it. It could have definitely done with more perks, especially stamina, and maybe a bit better design to some of the areas, but overall I still think it was a good map with a great storyline to it. EE was poor though. 2 steps outside of the actual obtainable arsenal, only to have some stupid battle on the bridge to achieve one of two possible pointless endings. Why have 2 endings when neither serve any purpose or offer no real reward!?
  11. Mob of the Dead is a great map. Best co-op map on BO2 easily, but solo is unfortunately not quite as fun. It is great setting up and starting it out, but once you get to round 60, rounds start taking around 15 minutes a round (been a while since I played so could be wrong on that one), and it just got really boring. I have went back into it a few times looking for ways to speed up the rounds, keeping the shower room door shut and the gate leading to the wardens office corridor, but there is not really any other fast strategy other than training the cafeteria. Die Rise is decent enough on solo, but I absolutely hate it on co-op. I get what they tried to do with it, but it was really badly flawed. You should never have an area of the map that makes a player unable to assist a downed team-mate (ie: the Buddha room). There should have been some way to get back up there quicker than having to go across to the other building and wait on an elevator. It tried to force people into camping or sticking together and I just did not like that. Buried is a map not even worth mentioning to be honest. Awful design, poor features and no balance. Possibly the worst zombie map of all time. Could have at least been fun if they balanced it out more and made the features (much) less OP. I enjoy Origins from a game play point of view, and feel it would have been better suited as an opening map, or somewhere in the middle.
  12. I have only played a few public games on Buried, and remember leaving on two occasions when a random (both times micless), got them and threw one down on round 1!? I played till round 12 in one of the games and despite several max ammos, the random player did not set a new one down. Banked my cash and left. Sent them a message saying I left purely because they were either trolling or stupid. Got no reply. Second time it happened, random threw it down on round 1 again. I just banked the points I lifted out and left straight away. Sometimes I think Treyarch intentionally give trolls these tools. The time bombs were the single most worst idea to be incorporated into Black Ops 2. What were they thinking!? Trample Steam is a close second. Terrible.
  13. I am not sure exactly who owns the rights to the zombie game-mode, Treyarch or Activision, but as it is just now, I just cannot see a stand-alone game ever happening. As mocking said, the MP side of the game makes $100 to every $1 zombies brings in. Maybe even more. Attempts to dumb down zombies to appeal to a wider audience could be seen as a possible test at how much they can expand the market, but unless the CoD franchise deteriorates badly in sales, I think zombies will remain a permanent fixture in the series. Still... you never know. Activision clearly are motivated by money over quality these days, so it could be something the consider for next-gen somewhere down the line.
  14. I am not against Micro Transactions myself, but I would rather see more effort put into the game itself before I part with any cash for add-ons. BO1 leaderboards were broken, and a lot of people could not register rounds because of it. Why was this never fixed? BO2 leaderboards seen a ton of people wiped from it, and it too looks unlikely to be addressed. Extinction leaderboards are also broken and probably will not be fixed either. Why should I give them a penny more when they cannot even make a game that works properly in the first place!? I do think that Flammen puts up a good case, but I agree with the majority that these additions are not innovative in the least. They are gimmicks that will appeal to a small majority, when in reality they should be fixing their game(s). Why should we give them any more of our hard earned cash when they are failing to deliver with the main products? I hope the extended development times that each studio has is put to good use, but I fear the extention they have will be designed to allow them to concentrate of giving us more additions to the main product, as opposed to actually making the main product better.
  15. Round 98 solo Origins and had to call time on it 45 mins into the round. Will I ever hit 100? At least it saved this time.

How long did that take you total?

Probably a bit less than 10 hours @JakeDuck.

Couldn't pause it Dahn... my kids would have put it off first thing in the morning. Whenever I play long games, I have to play right through. Game took 10 hours, and ran out of ammo at the beginning of 98. Had zero downs, but by 98 fatigue set in and I died twice trying stupid things. lol

  16. I think the camos look OK, but the voice over thing is a bit iffy. As Fated said though, I am sure it will sell well. It could be viewed as a testing ground with the whole micro transaction thing to see what people do and do not want. Still... for what they paid Snoop... I can't see them recouping it to be honest.
  17. I don't see it happening myself due to the WaW and BO1 maps having been made on the single player engine. They would need to remake the all from scratch, so it would cut into valuable resource time. Unless a third party took it on, I doubt it will happen. Would make sense to see all the maps on one platform though.
  18. I agree with this to an extent. I am a storyline enthusiast, and I absolutely HATED this map initially, and even still to some extent. Sure the map is a lot of fun, and the design and balance to it is great for high round runs, but it is too little to late for me. When I put the BO2 disc in, the only map worth playing is Origins. This should not have been the case. Origins should have been the way BO2 started. Not from a storyline POV, but from the map and features POV. I find most other maps tragically poor when compared to Origins. Going from Moon to Tranzit was terrible. Die Rise is also a garbage map IMO, and the series only started getting better from MotD onwards. Unfortunately Buried is so full of features and no balance that it became a joke map that looked great but was boring as hell to play and was OP when it came to the features available. Origins is good, but is it good enough for a finale to the series? Not even remotely.
  19. You definitely need the three robots to be coming together to have the button work along side the air strike. I can get the raining fire step done first time every time when I do it, but only when it is three robots. I have tried a handful of times when I see one robot pass before the three robot cycle starts and it never, ever works.
  20. Well... he did at least include Five in his timeline, but yeah...
  21. Quite possibly, the BEST response to the time line for zombies I have EVER seen! I might actually make several accounts just to give this more brains!!
  22. Yes, you should buy World at War for PC. The reason being that it is only around $20 to purchase with ALL DLC included, and fully updated to 1.7 (final title update). Once purchased, you have access to literally hundreds of custom maps that are ALL free. Regarding getting into online matches, the answer is not quite as simple. Yes you can find online matches to join, but the ones that are not stock maps will require to to have the same map as the person hosting the lobbies. There is also nowhere near the numbers when compared to Xbox or PS3. To makes things easier, you can search for players on here, or you can just add your WaW and Steam ID to the Group 935 Steam page here : http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Group935 or Go on to the UGX site and use the chat room or create a post, found here : http://ugx-mods.com/forum/index.php There is plenty of people who still play customs, and you should be able to find a regular enough group to play with. Solo customs is fun enough also, so the purchase is definitely worth it. Feel free to add me (WaW ID is DB-Zen and Steam is DeathBringerZen), and I will be able to intruduce you to several other regular players.
  23. Gun game on the UGX mod is one of the best things to happen to the custom scene. It is so much fun to play on certain maps and is an ideal break from the norm when it comes to zombies. I would love to see Treyarch include it in the next game myself personally.
  24. Hilarious stuff guys. I can imagine there will be a few confused peeps over at the support center today. lol.
  25. So far today, none of the people who have lost their rounds have been restored. I agree it all seems very strange. There has been a 'Game Setting Have Changed' hotfix, which seems extremely unusual this far into the game, unless it was an attempt at restoring/fixing the current leaderboard issue, but if it was, it failed. Would be nice to think something is afoot, but I am not going to hold my breath on that one.
