Sorry Boom, Lenny, Slade, deleted your topics when I wanted to show the new edited version of the auto reply, apologies, they wouldn't merge correctly due to the timestamp being before I posted new topic, it therefor became a topic started by Boom, so I've had to delete them (sorry).

We have installed an auto reply function to new topics within the introduction forum, this will basically give a big hello to new members with a few links - this is intended for new members to get a quick response to an introduction and to also give them a quick heads up on what to do. We may add the post formatting link and others but don't want to overload them, hopefully this proves a useful addition.

Mega, I'm with you and I understand your frustration and the likes. We have just added another section to an overcrowded forum structure & it doesn't make sense but it also makes sense (just now) to have this. One of the main reasons it makes sense it because it is the game mode that everyone is playing and the team mate finder is a zombies team mate finder period. This is what the site is about, zombies. It's not about aliens, it's not about titanfall, it's not about pokemon etc. I really do hear you but no harm exists with sub forum for extinction players to find other players (for the time being anyway) - it keeps it away from genuine request for team mates for zombies and cluttering up that section. Granted only one topic has been created to find team mates for extinction just now but I'm pretty darn sure more will happen. Lets work together rather than against each other to ensure we get the structure correct and get the relevant forums sections merged, moved, removed and streamline the forum. Ghosts shouldn't be at the top of the forum though, I agree with this and I would move this to the infinityward section at the bottom of the forum if this is what everyone wanted (just now).

The idea behind friends, is to make the forum more social engaging, to allow a circle of friends from the 19k + user base to, it works similar to how facebook does with friends, you can friend someone and I'm sure you can also unfriend them. As for benefits of adding friends, bragging rights I suppose, I don't see the point of it on a forum but it adds another social engagement level. As for spamming them with the photos, as long as it doesn't break the CoC

Right, so for the Extinction noob among us (me being one of them). Is this gamemode any good, is the potential for a decent storyline available, has nightfall added anything to the gamemode? Does it feel like it has longevity, is it round based on boss round based (i.e. kill the boss and the game ends) or is the rounds unlimited just as in zombies. Do the waves of aliens just keep coming, do they have any "wonder" weapons. How about the dialect from the characters, are they adding enough to the game, are they given you hints and tips on what should be done and where to find things and what to look for? Overall, is it worth buying just for extinction? I do not care for mulltiplayer anymore.

Sweet, I think that if it's something to pursue, that those that stream, shows the required levels etc could potentially stream on a CoDz forum twitch account. User access levels etc would need to be looked at and so forth but I can't see why we couldn't do this. The application for the twitch integration here looks superb and version 2 is being worked on as well, which will bring more functions upon user feedback. I'm not quite happy with the hooks, I would personally like to see it have live stream links, but it split, featured and standard and the ability to limit the amount of featured it shows and standard. I don't like that it also includes a list of channels as well (just seems to bloat up the side bar unnecessarily. It's a fantatic addition & one of many that I'm proposing to the staff, I need to run it past Nick and the moderators before implementing (if at all).

Possibly, but never say never. I've already done a lot of work into it - so if I can get it sorted I will, just need a wee bit of time to get it looked further and try and get them imported without issues.

It's a technical nightmare (full stop). Let me try an explain it. What we have is a phpbb forum converted to vBulletin, a phpbb forum converted to invision. We then have a full site conversion of vBulletin to invision (you can't just convert some of it, you need to convert all of it). This isn't the issue, the issue then boils down to things such as this. Member ID Post ID Topic ID Attachement ID Post size Matching post/topic to member ID's Importing the relevant sections including posts and topics, without importing other posts and topics from overwriting information already imported. Member ID's and topic post ID's overwriting topic post already imported but assigned to different topics and posts and members. It is a technical challenge, I like challenges and I'm already looking into it. Something I have been working on in the background. Let me say one thing, I'm not promising or going to gaurantee the recovery. It's a f***ing nightmare.
