  1. Buildables. Since the map has been patched they are the only way to go. Actually found out that the Head Chopper seems to have been buffed and is still a 1-hit kill all the way up to Round 100. Paralyzer's main use after 70 is for flying and slowing down zombies. On round 99 even a full Ray Gun Mark 2 can't take a zombie's head off with all its ammo.
  2. I still will maintain my view that Treyarch has listened to their fans and given easy ways to rank up. There may be glitchers and douches but we know the basics of ranking up and it's easy enough. Just like having a 2 K/D in multiplayer. You will not get that by playing risky and doing stupid things. I consider shotties similarly. Not Treyarch's fault if you don't care to put in work for it. I know people have discussed this many times but having just completed 100 rounds on Buried I feel like I have every right to say that it takes the easy level to 11 out of 10 and it works for ranking up. The thing that keeps people from having the rank they want is their own choice. Buried makes it all too obvious. There will always be a flaw in any system. People will find a way to complain about anything. But if you want to rank up, if you care about it, then right here is a solution. To me true skill at Zombies is measured primarily by how far you can make it - consistency. This is why I play Local for Solo now.
  3. Round 100 on the most boring map ever achieved.

You would go well with a map like Shang. Tighter areas but faster training strategy ;)

Well done Dahniska. I tried to do it myself in the past but ended up quitting out on 74. Boring is an understatement!

      Wow!

I fell asleep on 42 and never wanted to touch it again. I told my wife I'd rather listen to her talk than go for another high round on Buried.

  4. As long as you adhere to general ethics and morals there is no more or less "honorable" way to earn your living bro. In zombies as long as you play fair and don't glitch same rule applies. I used to be like you and think that everyone who didn't limit themselves like I did was just taking shortcuts and the easy way out until I realized that there is an optimal way to play any competitive game and those who do not play to win get left behind. We can complain about a weapon being overpowered, a strategy being too easy, a character being far better than its competition but in the end those who win are the ones who accept the game as it is and take full advantage of their options. We can still complain and hope that the game will be fixed but if it isn't that is how it is. Therefore I move on with this understanding and that is why I have improved and will remain a top competitor in any game I care about. Zombies is about survival. That is all.
  5. First off, I think any smart man would take the path that is most rewarding with least effort. I don't know if you have ever had to pay bills but I have and trust me the more money you make, however you do it, the better life is with less stress. So the smart man would take $100 per hour over $30. Now onto the subject I'm going to assume you have never broken Round 50. If you had gotten to Round 60 you would have seen that the Paralyzer kills more and more slowly. I am on Round 84 right now and the Paralyzer cannot kill a zombie without having to recharge fully twice. So your idea about it being the same on Round 100 as Round 1 is wrong. The strategy has a limit to how long it is viable for. It's just very easy. And if you don't have Buried it is your choice and you are missing out on having the Mark 2 on your other maps as well. I'm sure that all of us have it if we like Zombies, even if the map is garbage. I also would like to point out that you take for granted that my definition of "skill" is the same as yours. I don't think it is.
  6. I'm sorry, but I fail to see how having a ranking system that rewards players who put time into it would be flawed because of that very thing. Think about it.
  7. Gotta remember that even the best people get unlucky/have bad games. The highest rank is awarded because of consistent improvement. 1 game where you die on Round 1 followed by a game where you die on Round 60 is better than two games dying on Round 20. My point isn't that the strategy is long or boring. It's that literally anyone can do it. Withdraw points from bank, hit box till you get what you want, upgrade and buy perks and that is all there is to do. You don't have to survive Origins double-swiping Zombies till you earn enough for Jug, you don't have to survive a Panzer or Brutus every few rounds or do any training. You don't have to make good decisions regularly to get further. You can just sit there and don't even have to worry about ammo. It is very simple and easy. My point is that Treyarch gave us players this - the most easy legit strategy imaginable. - that we can use to rank up. And yet people still complain. Now, if you want a faster and riskier strategy, there are many. But the point still stands that if rank is your concern, Treyarch has provided you a super easy way to rank up - you can even time bomb for extra kills without having to do more damage per kill. There is no excuse except laziness for someone not being able to rank up.
  8. I never want to see anyone complain about their ranking in Black Ops 2 zombies ever again. I have spent the last 10 rounds browsing this forum, texting and talking with my girlfriend WHILE killing zombies the whole time. Tap tap, tap tap. I have barely had to look at my screen while sitting in front of Jug with the Paralyzer. I have been so distracted, so unfocused and yet I am accumulating many easy kills. This is off the charts easy and if you have tried this and have not ranked up, you are doing it wrong. You can have all your stuff upgraded on Round 1 with the bank. If you choose not to rank up this way, your fault, not Treyarch's. They made this easy enough for a 6-year old to do it. I never want to see people complaining about their rank again. If you are stupid it is your own fault. Ever since Buried was released there has been no excuse other than personal choice for not ranking up. Dahniska out.
  9. All right, it's official. On the grind for 100+ Buried. Let's go.

It's actually reasonably fast since it's camping. Don't have to train up the zombies. Boring though, that sleeping bag might not be a good idea as it's hard to stay awake as it is.

  10. Good post Naitrax. Keep it coming! Brains to you.
  11. Plenty of other games, like Borderlands 2 get DLC over a year after release, so you cannot just assume that just because a game has not seen any proper action in months that it suddenly become improbable. I also think your argument for it being non-profitable is flawed. Even if MP fans abandoned their copies of BO2, a zombie only DLC would only appeal to the zombie side of the community anyway, and almost 99% of that community will have retained their game. 3arc DLC drops are mostly profited from the zombie community anyway, so it would still be very lucrative for them if they DID go ahead and release a zombie only DLC drop.- With that being said, I do agree that there is very little (if any) chance of a DLC 5! Why do I even bother arguing if people are just going to come in, tell me my reasoning is worthless, and then argue for my exact point? Honestly, it's hypocritical and somewhat rude… "Yes, mocking is flawed, and unjust because he is giving reasons to why dlc will not be dropped, but I'm very confident DLC will not be dropped" where's your reasoning? I can't speak for him, but I think I can answer your question. Don't take this wrong. I'm trying to help you. Often I see you post things. Sometimes your conclusions are good, sometimes not. But most of the time I don't see you following a good (logical) line of reasoning to reach said conclusion. That is what he is not agreeing with you about. For people to agree with you (in general) you must understand what you are talking about, use good sources of data and draw logical conclusions from them to support your point. I will show you what I mean with an example. Statement: "The Sliquifier is the best gun in Die Rise." The statement is true. Now someone asks you why. You say: "Because having zombies die with a purple effect is just way too cool." Right there is the problem. All the players with experience will agree with your final conclusion but not with the path you took to get there. To remedy this you need to have a logical reason that makes sense to back up your statement. So instead of talking about the color purple, you say this: "It's the best because it can kill in 1 hit all the way past Round 100, and you can chain its effect for unlimited kills per shot." Now you just made yourself look a lot smarter and far less people will disagree with you. From now on, try doing this more and you will be less likely to have someone disagree with you. Hopefully this helps you. I really do hope it does! I feel like if you work on this it will improve the quality of your posts and your logic a lot.
  12. Every perk on Alcatraz Island, including Flopper and Jug, appears on at least one other Zombie map. By your reasoning then, Hell (Alcatraz is what you mean I think) is being affected by the future (Ascenscion) because Flopper first appeared on that map. Sorry, I think I'm going to stick with my current viewpoint, which is that the perks in each map are there for gameplay reasons. From what we know it would seem more likely that (as far as in-game chronology goes) Origins is where Cherry is from, not Alcatraz. On the subject of the main topic, I recall reading a thread a while back about a different Nikolai that Weasel may have been referring to. I'd try to get the link but I am on my phone.
  13. One question, then. How do you explain Samantha's presence in Origins if not from the events of Black Ops 1 and 2?
  14. Wow, you're right. I'm surprised they would tweet twice about Zombies like that. Maybe they will do something in the near future. I'm not counting on it but it would be nice, that's for sure.
  15. You know what the problem with this will be? People will still be complaining. There will always be complaints but if you were to be punished for using persistent perks/banks and other things like that that are put in the game for you to use, the complaints would go up even more and to be honest, what's the point in giving someone something that you punish them for taking? Maybe the better solution would be to take Zombies back towards its roots - the direction Origins took to a degree - with old-style earn-it-as-you-go gameplay, while implementing new ideas into that like the buildables. I like people who like to think outside the box (no pun intended) but it seems counter-productive to make a ranking system that would punish you for trying to take advantage of the things in the game. I mean, how would that be different from de-ranking you if you used headshots to kill zombies?
  16. What people mean when they say unpatching the Sliq is this: remember when the map was first out? When you shot with that weapon, it would just make one puddle of goo on the ground. Now, zombies constantly drop more goo. If you camp on that escalator for like 30 rounds or something, not sure exactly (the BS Zombie might know, he plays that map more), the gun no longer makes zombies drop more goo on the ground after the first one. It doesn't fix the nerfing of the Sliq's kill power but it helps for training, which helps in the long run a lot.
  17. You will get it soon enough. Hit me up sometime for a co-op game as well - you saw I added you on XBL. ^^ Die Rise I usually camp on the escalator to unpatch the Sliquifier, but once that's done... I never considered the key corridor, may try that one later. Mob is terribly slow. I got my first 100 there but the map is rather gay. If it wasn't for afterlife it might be one of the hardest. No fast camping after 35, slow killing overall and no boss rounds. Plus, the Acid Gat likes to bite you in the foot. Eh...
  18. Gave this a try tonight. Got to round 86 and took my first down, and foolishly it was to be the end of my game after taking Electric Cherry from the wunderfizz machine on 75 by mistake and despite saying I would down myself at the end of a round and let it go, I kept ending the rounds without managing to keep one and it cost me. The down I took on 86 was a trivial down that I could have easily avoided, and aside from that one mistake, it was actually ridiculously easy to camp AND train behind the tank station. Was not even playing serious and I got to 86 in roughly 6 hours. Did not beat my 88, but I am safe in the knowledge that I WILL beat it using that strategy. Nice one man. +1 Good to hear. You will get that 100 before you know it. You must avoid that Cherry though, it is evil in Origins. I actually would rather spend 20 minutes chasing the Wunderfizz than take Electric Cherry. On my side I'm playing some other maps but I gotta admit I'm spoiled by how fast the rounds go in Origins. Die Rise next for 100? I don't know.
  19. Welcome to site! You've found the right place I think. We have a lot of dedicated players and a lot of useful information here at CoDZ. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask and feel welcome to take part in the forum discussions. Enjoy your stay!
  20. While I like this thread, I'm tired of seeing people still complaining about Black Ops 2's ranking system. Ok, granted, Treyarch should have at some point told us exactly how it works. I get that. I also can understand why some people wish they could reset their stats like in MP. But the game has been out now for over a year and if you care so much about your stats, you've had plenty of time to repair them by playing better or by starting over with a new account. Stop flogging a dead horse! The ranking system was actually quite good for being the first official Zombies ranking system. Yes, it could have been better, but it was good for a first time and other than a few minor updates I would actually love to see this ranking system returned almost the same as it is now in the next Zombies installment. There are plenty of people on this forum who have put the time in (like myself) to try to help people improve at Zombies so that you can have better stats and results! I like seeing my stats saved and I think it's nice to have something in-game to reward the higher level players of the game. Everyone has a K/D in multiplayer that they can check quickly and easily and there are score per minute leaderboards as well, not to mention several other leaderboards. Why should we discourage Treyarch from trying to make people serious about being successful at Zombies like they do with Multiplayer? If you aren't competitive that's fine, but don't try to discourage Treyarch from encouraging their fans to play their games competitively. One of the biggest reasons Call of Duty has been successful is its competitive atmosphere. The very fact that Black Ops 2 had a rankings system with all its leaderboards showed us that Treyarch is taking Zombies more and more seriously alongside its multiplayer. This is really, really good for us and I think instead of complaining about how you got a skull emblem for helping your best friend get persistent Revive, you should be grateful that Treyarch is taking this community seriously and trying to please us, the dedicated Zombie players! I would like to see a return of lobby leaderboards in the next Zombies installment, along with the return of private matches and a ranking system almost identical to Black Ops 2's. I would sure like to see other stats saved though, like how many kills per weapon and stuff like the multiplayer guys get. I'm with Chopper on the necessity of a standard mode where everyone is on the same foot at the get-go, no matter how much you've played. Gosh, can you imagine No Man's Land if you had an extra 1000 points when you started, if you'd gotten to Round 25 on Moon at least once before instead of always having 500 points? Just doesn't seem right. Honestly in retrospect, while persistent perks were fun pre-DLC in Black Ops 2, once Treyarch started adding stuff like persistent Jug, persistent Tombstone and persistent Flopper to a lesser extent, things started getting kinda lame. This is part of why I like Origins the most of Black Ops 2 maps. None of that persistent perk nonsense, and no stupid bank.
  21. I find it quite believable. KingJaq Offsuit said on his 200+ on Der Reise that it took over 80 hours. The rounds take quite a long time, even though camping is relatively fast. Once you pass 100 the rounds just get longer and longer. I'm sure that Zombie Project was also smashing the box at the end of each round to get another Time Bomb, which would make it take a few extra minutes.
  22. While holding a buildable like a Turbine or Trample Steam, you can stab much faster than usual. You should give it a try.
  23. I have no explanation for this phenomenon. I've never actually seen it stay one weather pattern for that long in any of my games. Maybe it was a glitch? Or just a really rare chance? Someone would have to look into the game's coding to give a certain answer for why that would happen. Ideally it would rain like 9 out of 10 rounds.
  24. ^This. If anyone on CoDZ could write a solo strategy guide, it is YOU! Maybe me and Chopper prior, but you have clearly proven to be head and shoulders above us (for now! ). I will try your strategies over time, and my aim is to obviously better you, but until then, I kneel before you. Your strategies and guide have been nothing short of spectacular, and I think you can easily be the sites new Superhands, though personally I would love nothing more than to see return of the master himself. Anyway... if we get the chance to revote for a new user of the month, you have my vote man. Keep up the awesome work... you are a credit to this site! Thanks DBZ, and good luck with passing me! (No sarcasm. =P) I honestly believe that with some luck and a lot of determination it is possible that someone may be able to get to 140 or higher on Origins, eventually. maybe 150? The tank and robot feet are slow ways to kill zombies but they work! Main problem is freezes and system memory. I bet you could write a really good guide for Solo on this site too if you tried. It just takes a lot of time... I spent 4 days or so compiling the information, getting links, uploading stuff and writing/proofreading this. Maybe there is a faster way. Thanks for the kind words man, I appreciate them and will strive in the future as well to merit the praise you have given for my work. ^^
  25. Thanks 83457, I added a few of your tips to the bottom alongside my own. Thanks for the input! I hadn't thought of adding those to that list. In response to your question about the wagons, they will always light up again if it is not raining. There is nothing that you, as a player, can do to change the weather. It is indeed possible to get free zombie bloods multiple rounds in a row. I have done this many, many times. For the fire staff piece plane, I know that in Co-Op it sometimes will not spawn till Round 10 but in Solo I cannot remember the last time it didn't show up in the first 5 rounds.
