  1. Exactly. They basically remade the Jet Gun based on peoples criticisms of it, and gave us the Paralyzer... a gun the complete opposite of the Jet Gun. Quicker cool down, longer bursts, the ability to fly properly with it etc. Buffing the original Jet Gun would be admitting that the got it spectacularly wrong, and that is not something I see Treyarch doing very often. Hell, if they were going to "buff" anything, it would be Tranzit in general. Adding in a few new perks or weapons would have improved longevity, but it would show them up for getting it wrong in the first place, so instead they just walk away and never look back. I was hoping the NavCards would rejuvenate Tranzit somehow (as did most of the community from as far back as Dec/Jan... how did you fail to see THAT ONE Treyarch!?!), but alas it fell on deaf ears, and Treyarch decided against giving us anything remotely worthwhile, possibly due to this new term they like throwing about... "Time contraints". Why when most of the community wanted Tranzit improved somewhat, did they not make the NavCards do that exact purpose? Such a wasted opportunity.
  2. The best strategy I have for Tranzit is to run outside the farm with the gate closed with a raygun & M&S until 40-45, then open up and grab DT. Basically you need to pull a raygun from the box before the box moves to farm. Restart if you fail. The reason this strategy works best is that, with the gate closed, the spawn in is ridiculously quick, and if you start from round 1 (after setup), you will get used to the pace of the spawn quick, and come 45 you can open the gate, making the spawn in easier to handle, while still coming in relatively quick due to the high round. Raygun and M&S work best for quick kills. You can speed through early rounds blasting with raygun at them to stay safe, then in later rounds you can resort to the M&S. Easiest way to use it and stay safe is to wait until there is no more zombies spawning in then run a few yards ahead of them and turn and blast. From 50 onwards you really want the jetgun and Mark II.
  3. If you play as many games as possible getting to round 30 or higher with 0 downs, you will rank up in no time. A down early in the game does indeed punish you more than later round downs. Getting to 20+ often is no good. 30+ is what you want to aim for.
  4. Very impressive Dahniska. I can see that the spawn in ridiculously fast, and the time it took to finish is at least 30 seconds faster that the semtex. I will try this tonight and let you know how it goes. Good job man.
  5. Couldn't agree more strongly with this one. The idTech engine (now the IW engine) is the most outdated piece of shit engine still getting used these days. Sure it is capable of producing some nice visuals, but it is the most ropey and buggy engine out there. Things like visual and sound glitches, as well as the abundance of barrier glitches proved this during BO1, and instead of ditching it, they continued to use it (albeit updated) for BO2 and it was a disaster. Every map is choc full of issues, and they are all down to the terrible engine. Activision then lied and said Ghosts would have an "all new, next-gen engine", but alas it was just another poorly updated version of the SAME ENGINE! If they do not create a new engine for the next game, Call of Duty is finished! The amount of issues present in the Xbox One (& possibly PS4) version of Ghosts is embarrassing for what is the debut of CoD on next-gen.
  6. The video of it looks much better than the image, but alas, it was confirmed fake. Shame though as it looks really good.
  7. That makes a lot more sense now. Yeah, people who try to up their post counts without proper contribution should indeed be warned about their conduct. I misunderstood your point. I have seen many a people in the past do it, and even comment on the fact that they are doing it. Fair enough if they do not have something serious to contribute in the first place, but to contribute nonsense like you quoted above consistently is hardly opening up a discussion for others to partake. My apologies.
  8. If you do not get the ice staff parts before round 4, you cannot get them again till round 10. It does not snow between round 4-10... EVER!
  9. I agree that short replies like the ones above look somewhat vulgar and unnecessary, but you cannot seriously attempt to enforce people to type epic replies each and every time. Sometimes replies can be short & sweet. I have seen people say that if you agree with a comment just add brains instead of saying "agreed", then I also read somewhere that we are NOT to be giving brains for simply agreeing with a post. The post must be worthy of brains. It is a tough area to enforce such rules, and I personally don't think it can ever be properly policed, so it is best to just leave this one be in my opinion.
  10. The Dev's have already said in the past that Ascension was the first time they attempted a multi step EE in zombies, which pretty much confirmed that Kino did not have one. Another thing to note, is that it was actually Raven Software that made Kino, and it was made for World at War, so side quest EE's were not something overly present in zombies until BO1. This is why BO1 had 2 maps as default. The zombie team made Five and decided to use Kino in BO1, despite their attempts to faze out the whole "Nazi" theme to the game. I am 100% positive that there is NO Easter Egg on Kino. Sorry.
  11. This^ I would ALWAYS put Jug at the top. QR should never be your priority on solo, seeing as a down before Jug is just a waste to be honest, but it is really map dependent. I am the same as Mega... Stamina is my second perk on Origins every time. Electric Cherry is high up for me on MotD, but I do not touch it on solo Origins. I like buying Dead Shot on CotD but never touch it on MotD. PHD is high up on Ascension, CotD, Shang and Moon, but I usually don't bother with it on Origins, so on this basis, my list is this... Juggernog The end!
  12. That is good to know, as when I used to do the strategy in earlier attempts, I used to open both doors, and when a zombie derped out I would run to the spawn and he normally respawned down in the lower portion beside the box spawn. I will need to try this Gen 2 strat you are talking about though. I can't imagine being able to camp behind there. On the tank path you mean? I am bemused as to how it is possible. lol. Yeah, I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have died on Origins through stupid mistakes or general in-game bullshit! Been kicked under the map over a dozen times, had the panzers drop in and lock the game, died numerous times with only 1-3 zombies left, and even once I died jumping down from Mule Kick after getting slapped. Good times...
  13. Yeah, I have played Origins everyday now for about 2 months, and I have been trying to learn all the best strategies while doing it. I find I can camp to around 75 at the semtex with both doors shut before having trouble with ammo. I usually go down to the crazy place when low and swap for the wind staff and run the round out with that. Got to the point now that I can leave my chest ammo till 80+. I used to rely on the tank power-ups for a max ammo too, but the last several games I went round on the tank, I would get everything but a max ammo. I can usually get from 16-80 camping at semtex in about 3-3 and a half hours after doing the EE, but it's all about luck with ammo drops from then on in. The game I died on 88 was tragic seeing as I had full ammo in my ice staff. Only died because I stupidly tried to punch the last 3 zombies to death to end the round without QR (out of boredom I guess), and got too fresh with them and they decided to have their way with me. I will NEVER make that mistake again.
  14. I am unfamiliar with that strategy. I hear people saying it all the time but I am not sure where or how they mean. I have tried camping in the tank station beside the MP40 and that is pretty fast. I also don't have to put up with the derping zombies I get when camping at the semtex, but I find that if I leave the doors to gen 1 & 3 closed and use the gramophone at the fire tunnel, it is faster than camping at the MP40 and at Jug. Do you know of any videos that show this strategy you speak of? I would love to actually see it in practice.
  15. I can usually finish the whole EE in about 1 and a half hours. I then camp it out with the ice staff before going to the crazy place and switching between that and wind until I run dry. I got to 88 in 6 and a half hours the other day, EE included. Sure, I don't ever really use fire or lightning, but having the staffs on hand in the crazy place, and the crazy place itself is good for when I am low on ammo. If I had the time to run a 12+ hour game, I would obviously only do the EE up until the raining fire step and utilize the robots in my strategy, but because I don't have the time, I prefer to just finish it all and have the option of the other staffs and the crazy place if need be.
  16. I do the whole EE, yes. The reason why I do the whole EE though is simply because I do not have the time to have a 10-15 hour game much these days, so I just try to speed run my games. Being married with 4 kids and working full-time means I cannot play for 10+ hours at all in my games. Even pausing it overnight is out of the question as my youngest boy plays on my console too and he would just turn my game off, even if I told him not to. Doing the robot trap strategy, or other methods designed to be used when ammo is dry are not really for me. I cannot afford the time it takes to make it through just one round doing that kind of strategy. Nah... for me, it is all about trying to get through rounds as fast as possible. Than means finding ways to manipulate the spawn ins, without exploiting of course. If I had the time though, I would already have made it to 100+ on most of the BO2 maps by now. Instead I linger around the 65-88 mark on most of them.
  17. I messed around with it pre-patch, and I only considered it to be OP because it was pretty much infinite ammo with no cool down period. If you had the ballistics you could just keep using it, put it away, use it, put it away etc. People only got 100+ on that map because of that gun. That does kind of make it OP. Until it got patched (even though I see some people have found a new way to use it similar to it being unpatched), it was definitely kind of wonderous. Man... the record is 143 on that map I believe. It kills zombies no matter what round too, so that is the go to weapon from 50 onwards.
  18. Yeah, even if you DO manage to get into the church by 4 and it is snowing, that is no guarantee you will get the ice staff piece. Like yourself, I have got into it multiple times and have not got it. To be honest, it is not make or break that you get the ice staff before 10 anyway. You can still get the boxes done by 9 and then use 9 and 10 to get the air strikes, keeping one alive and then get the ice staff and fire staff done. It helps to get it early, but because of the rarity in getting the last staff piece, I just play on nowadays without going for it (unless I get lucky with points early).
  19. We can have many definitions and reasons for what is and what is not a wonder weapon, but at the end of day, when we say wonder weapon, we mean the big beast of a gun that is on occasion map exclusive. The gun that all the noobs nob the box hard till they get it. The weapon that will literally obliterate the incoming horde. Thundergun, Wunderwaffe, Scavenger, Wave Gun, Sliquifier etc. Even the Jetgun is supposed to be one, and until it got patched, it was actually insanely OP. It may be wonderous, but no one should really consider the Raygun a wonder weapon. I understand that "technically" it is, but only in storyline terms.
  20. If you do not have enough points to open up to church by round 4 (if snowing of course), then it does not snow again till round 10. From 7-8 onwards, I no longer dig up any piles in the church area and that usually guarantees you will get the part. In saying that, I have had a rare game where the part was not in any of the piles and had to play on to 16 before getting it. Very rare though.
  21. I miss him too. He was one of the only people I used to watch back in the day. He proved many a time how skilled he was without modding or video editing, and I think the way he was outed was a bit poor. Still, it's like I said above, modding is like a drug... you do it once and it becomes addictive. It should only be used by these WR hunters as a practice aid to find the best strategies. It should NEVER be used in the actual attempts. That being said, I would like to think Superhands is still out there crushing the WR's.
  22. I agree. I was such a huge fan of SuperHands, and despite his "apparent" modding, he was still incredibly skilled at this game-mode. Hell, so is Wings, but he has proven to be a bit of a scumbag, who is only venting his rage as he was a repeated offender and now cannot get his name on those leaderboards (despite multiple chances to redeem himself). Modding is like a drug... you do it once and it starts to become addictive. Sithbas' Shangri-La video looks very suspect indeed, and the fact he took 4 hits before lobbing a grenade without going red (to apparently deactivate the mod) before going down is kind of obvious, but why if he deactivated the mod does he not then get back up from having QR!? I am confused about it, but at the end of the day, it was not a WR game. Still... for someone who runs a WR site, it is not something they should EVER be doing. Still... mods or not, Wings took it too far with his racism, and it shows what type of person he is. I have not lost my respect for Sithbas, but I would definitely be wary of any future records he sets from now on. I also still respected Wings despite his modding, but all respect was lost when I watched the last few minutes of his video.
  23. Just died with 3 zombies left on round 88 Origins.:( #FML

      Sucks to hear that.

Actually, I'm glad I'm not the only one with disappointing games.

      Better luck next time.

I will hit 100 on that map eventually, but preserving ammo is a bitch, and I would not ever consider doing the robot trap strategy, as I am not too keen on wasting hours on one round. Still... I am moving away from Origins for the foreseeable future. Next stop MotD!

I love MoTD, one of the best maps ever.

  24. Pretty shocking to see the founder of the site that most high round players in the community rely on and trust is a modder himself. Still, even if he has hacked (it is obvious he did), there is absolutely NO NEED for Wings to resort to racism. He has went too far calling him "a dirty paki". For shame Wings. You proved your point, then went to far with it.
  25. Same. I fill 3 boxes by round 7, get lightning built (and Wind & Ice if possible) and I take the panzer down while filling the final soul chest from 8 onwards. Very simple.
