  1. good lord, man. that Panzer airwalking is kind of hilarious.
  2. AH good call man. I had totally forgotten about the "groovy" line from the white afro guy. I remember when I saw that, I could only think of Bruce Campbell. And the AX7 song - another wise catch. It was another one of Ash's catchphrase's "Hail to the king, baby". Thanks Alpha - but I'm not done Remember the shack in TranZit/Green Run? Granted all shacks look a like, but the shack from Evil Dead reminds me of the TranZit shack. I'll have to do some interior examination as well. The TranZit shack had TONS of skulls inside of it, I believe we agreed they were Denizen skulls - but I don't think it was ever confirmed (much like most of the storyline).
  3. as much as I want it to be - I just don't think it is. Plus, wouldn't they have to put the lightning bolt mechanic into every map? (a lightning bolt strikes the Wunderfizz in Origins letting you know position). Certainly wouldn't work in Die Rise or Buried.
  4. Nice thread, YourMapper. Bruce Campbell is by far one of my favorite actors - and now that I think of it, Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Evil Dead Army of Darkness were the first horror movies I ever watched. True, BUUUUUUUT (Evil Dead fanboy incoming) - in Evil Dead: Army of Darkness, they change that around. No longer is Ash hailed as "Hero from the Sky", in fact he is put in chains and sentenced to death. Not until he proves himself with his boomstick is he sent on his quest to vanquish evil. I'm surprised you didn't mention The Necronomicon, or "The Book of the Dead" The circular symbols remind me of the MoTD PaP texture: The symbols/writing remind me a lot of this wall in MoTD: and behind the PaP: The necronomicon, or Book of the Dead - is essentially an ancient evil book that can unlock the power to perform reanimation, dark magic, etc. I'm pretty sure that at one point, we will encounter the Necronomicon (or something like it) in the zombies storyline.
  5. Nice job good sir - and to Nai as well. and don't worry - they will be tougher from here on out. especially the one for the listeners in the Halloween Episode wait? what? oh right, I'm getting a head of myself. 6. The cast of Podcast Der Toten is proud to present a new and AWESOME contest in anticipation of our Halloween Blowout episode. There are 3 simple steps, and 3 ways to win. Details in the OP
  7. our member here Rissole25 has always been a genius when it comes to deciphering the lyrics. Kevin Sherwood has acknowledged TWICE on Rissole's threads that he got it right. Pretty nuts. Hopefully I can find the links to his threads and post them here, but yeah - you should def include links to Rissole's threads as they've gotten the thumbs up from the zombies music producer himself
  8. awesome PINNAZ, thanks for posting this. Wow - they really went to town! I did not know so many issues existed with ORIGINS. Just goes to show how compressed the development time is. I honestly think I would prefer EVERYONE getting the DLC at the same time bug free, rather then Xbox gamers essentially being the beta testers. Nice catch. Bruce Lee reference. Stoked we finally have a name to call it! It would be sweet for each DLC, if the dev's released a online mini-manual simply explaining what things are called. Would spare a lot of confusion - and would ward off all those $$$ hungry YouTuber's trying a coin a name themselves.
  9. Yes. Sometimes, we don't have the time to read such a large text quote. It helps a lot when you provide what you think, because it's like an olive branch. True, it's cool for people to derive their own thoughts and I understand how you didn't want to influence anyone - but if you are presenting the theory, it helps to know what you think. The cave allegory is something I'm very fond of. I really like how you summed it up here: So basically, it leaves the community divided between the believers & the skeptics. It's funny, this is almost like a coping mechanism that you've come up with - but I really like it... and it perfectly relates to how it feels now. A community divided. Who know's what was reality, what was a shadow, and what was a shadow's shadow? All it really comes down to (for me), is this: Great thread, Brett - I'm sure you'll get some more responses now that you've provided your thought process. also, spoilers are your friend :P
  10. Thanks Mix & PINNAZ for holding this thread down with the badass enlistment posters. Added to OP. This thread is like a time capsule, reading back over - totally captured one of the most fun times I've had on CoDZ. Thanks for making this thread awesome, everyone
  11. I bought a pack of microwaveable burritos. the time to prepare a burrito? 1:15
  12. please play nice in this thread or it will be locked. everyone's opinion is valid, there is no reason to label things as "absurd" or "ridiculous". I'm sure there is a more polite way to disagree. Thanks
  13. pretty cool, except... ^^ this is pretty lame. I mean I get that it showcases an aspect of their character (Marlton=glasses) - but it comes off to me as another desperate attempt to sexualize Misty's character. I don't think it's fair how all the other characters are portrayed as badass', and then it's like "ooooo look at those soft lips. it's misty."
  14. Very nice, Festo. I really don't think that you are over-thinking this, in fact, you've simplified it. That is an assumption by you. We don't need to stop anything, in fact, I think we need to theorize better, harder, faster, and stronger. Yup, to me, The Crazy Place is just an airport. I don't consider it part of Agartha, because, it would have to be much more expansive. Agartha isn't just a room, it's a realm, a dimension. Something as large and expansive as Earth. If it was Agartha, they would have named it "Agartha" and not "The Crazy Place". Clearly Maxis knew of Agartha, so he wouldn't need to beat around the bush.
  15. Good points Murder - Maxis sure loves his mediums. This is less trying to prove something about what medium he's using, and more so to prove that there is something deeper going on than what the initial cut scene shows. I hadn't seen this topic discussed at all, so hopefully it's not old news by now - but I figured I'd make a thread to show people who were convinced that "it's all a game" that something deeper is happening. Obviously, Maxis uses the intercom to communicate with Samantha a lot - because she looks totally calm. Wouldn't you be a little worried if your dad had to use an intercom to tell you to go down to the basement while ominous sirens ring from outside? Why are these children not scared? What we are witnessing them doing (hearing dad on the intercom, locking the windows, going to the basement) is normal to them, and that is the strangest thing of all.
  16. To anyone who HAS NOT done the EE in Origins and watched the coinciding ending cut scene - beware of the spoilers ahead. For the sake of this thread - you have to have seen the ending cutscene... Step 1: Hear me out Audio is my thing. I've been recording music forever, I edit/produce audio for interviews, "hearing stuff that you don't hear" is what I excel at. Maxis is talking through an intercom, walkie-talkie, or HAM radio. For lack of a better term, you can clearly hear his "start of transmission crackle", and "end of transmission crackle". It is essentially a little blip of white noise that you will hear directly before he starts speaking, and directly after he is done speaking. Below I have provided an example video that features Maxis' full transcript 3 times, the "start of transmission crackle" 3 times, and the "end of transmission" crackle 3 times - along with a 4th slowed down "end of transmission crackle". Treyarch were super smart when it came to disguising the "transmission crackles", you have to listen close - but hopefully my video will help you hear it. Step 2: Hear it for yourself 3PgSA16mL-k link for mobile: http://youtu.be/3PgSA16mL-k In the very first example, the time signatures for the start and end transmission crackles are "00:02" & "00:08". As I said above, I replay them several times - but for those who are exact I figured I'd give the specific times. *video credit to DalekJD. Step 3: Let me hear what you think A lot of people have been divided about this ending. Heck, I sure have. But given time, this ending cut scene has some very peculiar things going on towards the end. I'm really not sure why Maxis would be on an intercom, or why he'd have an intercom system in his house? The first time we heard Maxis in BO2, it was through an intercom in TranZit. Full circle, man - because the last time we hear Maxis in BO2... it's through an intercom. What do you lovely CoDz-sters think?
  17. how does a stock market crash in 1917 relate to the events that happened in Alcatraz in the 1930's? It doesn't add up at all. There are so many unanswered questions, and yes, true - we may never know the answers - but we certainly can't take the easy way out. This is CoDz, dammit!
  18. also - in MotD's loading screen, we see an American newspaper detailing a crash on wall street in 1917. we have yet to see this incorporated into the storyline yet, and I'd imagine it will be in the next 3arc game.
  19. Can I ask where we got this "Campaign team made MOTD and Origins" bit from because I've never seen any official evidence of it. Jason Blundell (the lead director of the Treyarch campaign team) was confirmed to be the executive producer for both MotD and Origins, not to mention he appeared in the Behind the Scenes video for both maps. One can assume it was the campaign team responsible for both maps. Just because its not Jimmy Z talking about the maps doesn't mean the campaign team made it. The whole thing is a rumor, and if you ask me, it's a pretty disrespectful rumor. Treyarch disperses their teams - the zombie team has always had help, but they are the creators of the map. To think that the blood vials are a nod to such a disrespectful thing is just totally off IMO. It's never been confirmed that the campaign team made a zombies map, and the whole thing sounds pretty silly. "No, the zombie team didn't make that zombie map. It's only, y'know, their job and specialty within Treyarch. Why would they make it?" (insert sarcasm here)
  20. For all contest rules & info Treyarch Twitter
  21. They aren't empty though. The character model in the trailer was far more detailed than the one in game. As for the TotH I think there are several of these through out the map. 25 cents back, bi planes, early wonder gun type staves, Dempsey referencing another team possibly the ones at nacht, im sure theres more. Not trying to debunk your theory, just giving my input. No worries! Haha I'm pretty sure I haven't even given a theory, as I'm still trying to draw together reasoning. And thanks for the input, to you and everyone - the reason I made this thread is because I wanted to see what the community thinks! and I think you might have misunderstood me - the blood vials actually are empty "in-game": sorry about the poor quality of the photo, but you can clearly see the transparency of the vial - in contrast to the trailer (which I agree with you is far more detailed): Here's my line of thought: 115 can pull items through time and space. When we are playing in ORIGINS, a lot of these items are confusing to the O-O4 (ORIGINS Original 4). "Guns being pulled out of thin air?", "Magical potions" - however, 115 didn't pull 2 blood vials and securely fasten them to Richtofen's jacket. There was purpose behind those blood vials, Richtofen had purpose and intentions. He wouldn't have them so close if he didn't need them, and he wouldn't have used them "just to use them". That's the closest thing I can grasp at this point: purpose vs. non-purpose; intentions vs. confusion.
  22. Did you know you can melee with the ultimate staffs?
  23. I'm sorry Murder, but I can't believe that it's just random. I believe the blood vials had a higher purpose, and although we haven't realized it yet, I'm hoping we can craft a theory more specific to the blood vials, and not just an all encompassing "115 did it" theory. It was a big part of the teaser trailer. Not a recent find. I would have to agree what someone had posted previously. Just a tip of the hat to the community. If the drop was weasel's blood and we got a golden spork ok, buts it's just zombie blood. Yeah, well actually the empty blood vials picture is new. I haven't seen anyone discuss it for awhile, and I don't want it to be simply glazed over. I really REALLY don't understand how it's "a tip of the hat to the community". I personally think that's the easy way out for any argument in zombies, so I really can't accept that. It's way too random to be a tip of the hat to the community, but at the same time it's so specific, and at the SAME SAME time it's a super paradox! I'm not letting this one go lightly, no no, there is something happening here involved with these blood vials then meets the eye.
  24. well, zombie blood is zombie blood - this would be human blood. Also there's no evidence or proof to support that rumor about the campaign team making ORIGINS or MotD. I went in game and took a picture of Richtofen in the spawn room, it's apparent now that he has the blood vials - but they've already been used: So now - the question is: what did he use them on? Did he use them on Maxis? Does he know about the events of MotD? or are these just random numbers that Samantha later appropriated for MotD (if it's all "just a game")? I'm quite intrigued....
  25. Can you please provide us with some proof of this? Thanks.
