  1. Someone in another thread said you can get "permanent" co-op quick revive by leveling up? I'm assuming that's referring to the bones and skulls in the icon next to your name... if that is the case, I wonder what else we can get by leveling our zombies profile up? Has anyone reached max level yet?
  2. From what I'm reading... nobody knows? You build the reader as part of Richtofen's EE and Richtofen tells you to insert the navcard, but all navcards apparently say "Wrong Navcard" when you try to use them, and you don't need to insert one to get the EE achievement. Either they have no purpose and are just a distraction, they will be given a purpose in later DLC, or we just haven't figured out how to use them yet.
  3. What your actually picking up is the Navcard Reader. The Navcard is the icon next to your points score. The Navcards are all wrong as far as I'm aware... You don't actually use it? This is just a thought.... Maybe you get the correct one once you level up completely? IDK? Cause you get 'Quick Revive' Permanetly once you level up I believe? That's really odd (and yeah, I know the difference... I have a navcard and my friend said he had one too). Richtofen says something about putting the little navcard thingy in the thingy... so either this is just a red herring to distract us, or there's something there we're missing. Why have the navcards in the map and have the person giving you the EE steps tell you to use one if there's no purpose to them? Weird.
  4. Yes, I know that. Did you even read my post? I'm saying that I got it another way, and asking if that has happened to anyone else.
  5. Nope. We didn't even know about the teleporters at the time. In fact, it was just me and one other person, and he just used one for the first time tonight and got the achievement... so I'm 100% positive nobody used one in that game. I was spectating him running into the bus station area, and I got the achievement... he didn't.
  6. Did you skip the Navcard part, or do you not need it? You described how to build the Navcard reader, but not where to find the Navcard itself. The reason I ask is I was playing with some friends, and I had a Navcard from a previous game. I got the reader built and it told me to insert the Navcard, but when I tried to it said "Wrong Navcard". My friend then noticed he had one (even though he didn't remember picking it up) but we died before he could try using it. So if you do need it... is there more than one location it spawns? If the host has it, does everyone spawn with one?
  7. Yeah, which is pretty much exactly what I thought when I got it. This was release night and my friend and I had recently been discussing this achievement and how to possibly get it. Then it popped and I thought "How did I get that achievement in spectator mode?" then I thought "Wait- that's it... spectator MODE...'Alternate MODE of transportation' Pretty sneaky, 3arc!" I was actually pretty surprised to find out that's not how it's supposed to be attained.
  8. I've read that the intended way to get the "Fuel Efficient" achievement/trophy is to use a Denizen portal... has anyone else got this achievement another way? I got it before I ever even knew about the portals... in spectator mode. I had died and my friend was running through the fog. As he approached the bus stop area, the achievement popped for me. I said "How clever, Treyarch.. an alternative mode of transportation. As in spectator mode." But that's apparently not how you're supposed to get it? I'm kinda wondering if this was a glitch or an intended alternate method of getting the achievement. I'm leaning towards glitch.
  9. Wouldn't putting a new TranZit-style campaign map into every DLC pack make the downloads huge, though? If we're following the tradition of each map pack being a bunch of multiplayer maps and a zombies map, I would think we would end up with massive DLC sizes in comparison to Black Ops. Not that it couldn't be done... I'm just wondering if Microsoft, for instance, has a limit on how big DLC can be?
  10. My impression of Tranzit; it seems like the team working on it had this great concept and really ambitious ideas... but either ran out of time to really get it right or just plain failed. What I like; The size of the map. The fact that the EE saves progress. Having a vehicle to get you around the map. The buildables (in concept). Tombstone (almost... not quite. More on that later.) Being able to store guns and points for later games (if it actually works that way... it didn't work for me). What I hate; The fog. God, the fog is horrid. The fact that most buildables are useless (especially in solo, as you need to use them in pairs often). The absolutely useless "Wonder" weapon (go through a bunch of crap running all over the entire map to get it, use it a few seconds, it breaks... what?!?! Who the F*** thought of this?!). The fact that all these great new perks were introduced in the Black Ops map packs... and were totally abandoned. Mule Kick is even in Nacht, for crying out loud! Where's my Flopper?! The fact that the Easter Eggs are AGAIN 4 player only after much of the community PLEADED with them to stop doing that. The absolutely godawful secret song. Where's Elena?! Who is this emo guy?! The fact that Tombstone only works; 1. If you die (so now I'm better off dying than getting revived? Now I have to rage at my teammates for picking me up? Yeah... brilliant) and 2. Is multiplayer only. So we get a whole one new perk to replace the many we lost... and I can't use it when my friends aren't online. Again... brilliant. That if you miss the bus or decide you want to hang out in an area and farm points early in the game, you end up standing around forever with a runner waiting for that stupid bus to come back. I don't want to play a "waiting for a bus" simulator. I need a Raygun before I can Pack a Punch? What?? The map is huge, but most of it empty and covered in that horrible fog. So you really end up with just a few crappy little maps. And don't even get me started on the "Survival" versions of those maps.... they come off as a complete afterthought and are an absolute bore to play in that mode. All of them. And finally... one more thing I'm really annoyed by that isn't directly related to Tranzit; The fact that I preordered the "Hardened" edition 6 months before the game came out and paid $80 for it ONLY for the "exclusive" Zombies map.... just to find out the day after release that it's going out to everyone next month?! WTF?? Sure, the WaW maps in BO were made available eventually, but it was after nearly a year had gone by and those that got the special edition of BO got an entire map pack for free. What do I get? Shafted. So yeah... I want to like this game, I really do. And I have found myself often having fun with the game despite my grievances... but I highly doubt I'll be buying any of the overpriced map packs or any Call of Duty games in the future. They've just disappointed me too many times and shown they are either unable or unwilling to listen to the people that pay their salaries.... us.
  11. Do you have a larger (that is, readable) version of this Jpeg? It's way too small to be useful. Edit; Also, you said there was something in here about the "best zombie map ever", but I don't see anything about Ascension? :P
  12. God, that Tranzit song is SO awful. Does not fit Zombies at all. Hope she's back for any and all DLC maps.
  13. Keep in mind, though, that while you can temporarily power up a perk machine and buy the perk with the wind turbine... that perk WILL NOT WORK if the machine has no power. We tried it with Speed Cola. I used my turbine to buy it, picked the turbine back up, and was most definitely not reloading any faster. Then my friend did the same, and while his turbine was in front of the Speed Cola machine I actually did reload fast. As soon as the machine was unpowered, the effect of the perk disappeared again. So, you can get speed this way and then once you get the power turned on it will work... but not until then.
  14. Seriously? Another 4 player only egg? I love how 3arc claims to listen to the community, but then does the opposite of what we ask.
  15. That's what I hoped it would do, but didn't work for me. I put 1000 points in it... died later that game. Came back the next round 1000 points richer. Went back to the bank the next game and there were no points for me to withdraw.
  16. I saw this out of the corner of my eye a couple times and thought I was seeing things. Funny thing is, I think he changed it so it's just a regular .jpg now that everyone knows about it.
  17. Oh you know he's absolutely loving being a gigantic tease to all of us. Half his tweets are some cryptic stuff like that. Though sometimes I get the feeling he really would like to tell us more but is made to hold back.
  18. Eurgh... genre snobs are the worst kind of music snobs. "How DARE you call Fetal Pig Raper 'Post-Hardcore Extreme Nu-Metal Grindcore Doom' when it's quite obviously 'Post-Thrash Southern Black Death Groove MetalXsceneXcore'?!?" "What?! No, Daft Skrillymou5 is totally not Dubstep, it's Post-Dubstep Electro House! Idiot! Trying to shoehorn everything into some kind of sub-label is just ridiculous anyways. As an artist, nothing is more annoying than someone trying to slap some kind of easy label on your music.
  19. I feel just the opposite... my biggest fear is that they're going to get too far away from what Zombies is and has been. That they'll try and mess with the formula too much and turn it into something unrecognizable... and IMO they've started down that road already by doing things like adding stupid omnipresent bosses that wander around spouting off cheesy lines. Other fears; Though I'm pretty much over the whole Call of Duty multiplayer, I might actually play it more if they don't continue with the godawful lag compensation and penalizing those of us that have good connections and often get picked as host. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure the trend of the lag compensation getting worse with every game will continue. Zombies related; Definitely afraid we'll have to deal with more horrible music Easter Eggs. A7XP3CG or whatever they're called are awful. And yeah, you don't have to play them... but I really enjoy the music that Kevin and Elena make for the games, and there's no reason to replace that with some godawful teenybopper crap. That said, I can even deal with A7XWTFBBQ as long as they don't put another Slim Shady song in the game. Seriously, who at this point actually sits down and thinks "Man, I have not heard enough Eminem in my lifetime. He's so underexposed!"?? I know the children love him, but he was well beyond played out 3 years ago. Again, that we'll have them putting more annoying bosses in the maps and other "zombie" types like the Nova crawlers. I like what they did with Ascension, having a new enemy type for the bonus rounds... but Zombies should be Zombies. That they'll do more things with the Easter Eggs like they did with Shangri-La; "You need 4 players to complete it, so if your friends suck you're SOL. And if you don't finish the 4-player EE on this map, you can't even attempt the EE on the next one." Also don't want to see any more EE's like Moon where it's left up to chance, and the game rarely wants to cooperate with what you need it to do. I just would really like to see them make more quality Zombies content like they used to. I'm hearing stuff about custom game modes and all I think is "So... they're just gonna cater to the 12 year olds that spam youtube comments with '3ARC give us da zombeez mods so we can do liek glitches and have unfinited lief and stuffs! Repost and thumb up so 3Arc will c dis!!' instead of focusing on a classic Zombies style game mode?" Honestly, I am very excited about BO2 Zombies, but also kinda pessimistic. I know a lot of people will disagree, but I felt like the last few maps in BO were pretty hit and miss. Loved Ascension, didn't really care for COTD, absolutely hated Shangri-La, and kind of loved and hated Moon... it had great ideas and added a lot of cool new mechanics like the Hacker that added to the game without drastically changing the formula... and could be a lot of fun, but also had another stupid boss, was waaay too easy, and put the stupid Nova crawlers back in (oh, and made it pretty much impossible to get more than 4 perks unless you were able to get the Shangri-La EE finished). I'll be picking the game up Day 1, but if they screw up Zombies, I have no reason to buy Call of Duty anymore. PS This is all my opinion and I'm sure many will disagree. Just how I feel.
