  1. My K/D is just under 90, and I currently have a skull with 3 tallies. 16,065 Kills 179 Downs.
  2. Look, I'm all for the mystery in the game mode, and that is most definitely part of the charm and the appeal... but IMO this is different. What is the point of having this ranking system if nobody understands it? Isn't the point of having ranks so that you can compare yourself with other players? Without knowing how it works, the entire thing becomes meaningless. So... signed. Though I'm pretty sure it's not going to do any good.
  3. That would be intereseting, someone else theorized on this before, but I cant remember who. Definitely interesting. The only problem is that doesn't explain why we're losing them in the middle of a game. Sometimes multiple times. I think I'm gonna do some experimenting soon to narrow it down... but my best theory is that it is a "Use it or lose it" type of thing. If you go so many rounds without repairing any windows, you lose the Barric-Aid. If you kill so many zombies in a row without getting any headshots, you lose Head Popper. Not sure about Revive because I haven't lost it... possibly teammates being revived without you? As far as I'm concerned, that's the only explanation that really makes sense at this point. It can't be timed because the times I've lost them have ranged from a couple rounds to an entire game. It can't be character-specific, because I've lost them while playing a game as a character. It can't relate to your stats in relation to your friends because I've lost them when no friends were online. It can't be related to your place on the leaderboards in each category, because there is no category for repairing boards. Either you lose them by not doing certain things, or it's 100% random. And I would HOPE 3Arc wouldn't do something as stupid as making it random.
  4. Not the Jet Gun... sounds like people are getting confused with how you open the PaP room using the Wind Turbine.
  5. If we go by that logic, then diving to prone on top of each other in the corner could be the next step. There's no more voice files regarding a next step, so that's basically case closed right there. What about the quotes regarding the navigation table, or the other from both Maxis and Edward we haven't heard yet? Something tells me you have to ga to a certain location to hear one of the voice files, for example a room with a computer to 'patch' the application navcard. Concerning the buildables, for the one in the diner you have to jump.. Maybe for the ladder you have to jump as well in order to put it somewhere. You don't have to jump. Just walking up to the corner there will give you the prompt. I really doubt there's some prompt to use an item somewhere that thousands of people have missed during thousands of hours of play. I just don't see it. The extra sound files are probably 1. For DLC or 2. For something that was cut from the final game. I'm leaning towards 1, since we still have the navcard and reader in the game. Really... I'm 99% positive at this point that the navcard stuff was put in there to send us on a wild goose chase while we wait for the DLC, which is when it will become useful. 3Arc knows how retarded the community gets over this stuff. Call it trolling, call it what you will... but it worked. It's keeping everyone busy and searching the map for what is most likely nothing (for now)... and I'm sure Jimmy Z is laughing his ass off (while he swims in piles of cash Scrooge McDuck style). They're just giving us interactivity between maps. It started with the last couple Black Ops maps, where you could use items from previous maps to complete the EE in the next. Well, this is the next logical step... setting it up so you can use things from the next map in this one. Most likely the "correct Navcard" will come with DLC 1.
  6. Slightly off-topic, but speaking of weird lighting glitches... has anyone had powerup drops completely unlit? It's happened to me a few times... a drop just hanging in the air, but not green lighting around it whatsoever. Had a Max Ammo tonight I almost missed because the icon was floating there with no light. They're still active, you can still pick them up and get the powerup, but there's just no lighting effect. Kinda wonder if it's a glitch, or something put in there to make things more difficult...
  7. GJ on 52. I died at 45. I just don't have the patience. I got to 32, banked my points, put my upgraded RPD in the fridge, and dicked around until I died. I just couldn't do it anymore. Part of me was like "But man... the leaderboards!! You can compete!" but... I just don't care enough. Most games have leaderboards filled with glitchers and hackers anyways. Maybe one day I'll shoot for 40... we'll see. I think my highest zombies run ever was 44 on Ascension, and as cool as it was to get that high... I still have nightmares about how tedious it was.
  8. Megaton A

    Solo jet gun

You don't have to use it till it breaks, either. Watch the pressure gauge. Don't let it max out. To let the weapon cool down, you have to actually have it out. Still a pretty horrible WW, IMO.
  9. I got my boards back tonight. Weird thing is, I didn't have the green orb when I re-unlocked them (though I don't remember seeing it the first time, either)... instead I heard something kind of like the knocking in Kino, Misty commented on it (something like "That could be something important"), and suddenly the Barric-Aid was back. A couple rounds later... gone again. And yeah, rank... fuck if I know. I've gone from the skull with 4 marks to the skull with blue eyes without playing. Yes, I played one night and had the 4 marks, got on the next night and had 5 and blue eyes. I somehow actually ranked UP while not playing. A few nights ago I was back on the skull with 4 marks. Played a custom game where my friend ragequit... I solo'd to 23, rank didn't change. Got on tonight, I was down to 3 marks. Played a solo game and went to round 31 without any downs (until the end, obviously), and about 25% headshots... overall a pretty good game. Rank didn't change. No, I agree... this is really annoying and frustrating. Not only do they not give us any explanation to how the system works, but then they apparently went and CHANGED the system a few weeks after release. WTF is that? Get it together, 3Arc! Every time I actually start liking BOII zombies more, I find another thing that just baffles me when it comes to what they were thinking. I just don't get it.
  10. I had that problem for a while... now I use the shortcut frequently. It's great when I'm running trains at the Diner and want to run quickly to Town to deposit 20 thousand points or so.
  11. I usually use the area by the shed at the Diner. There's a pretty big area to run a circle, and if I run into toomuch trouble, I can quickly step out into the fog if I have to. There's also the advantage of having the zombie shield closeby, which can be a huge help when training. Downside is that the only weapon is the MP5, and it's in the diner in a tough spot... and the fact that the bus can drive right through where you're trying to circle. But with good timing you can run towards the diner as the bus pulls out and have it take out an entire wave... or close to it.
  12. I thought perhaps Zombie Head Popper might have something to do with percentage of headshot kills, but that doesn't seem so. Every time I have lost it, I have been killing a zombie by shooting it in the chest... but one time I lost it and checked the scoreboard, and I had 200 headshots, 300 kills. 2/3 headshots isn't bad... and I've gone much lower than that before losing it. Maybe it's from killing 20 or so zombies without getting a headshot? Go a few rounds without repairing a window, lose the boards? So many rounds without reviving anyone, lose revive? Would kinda make sense... my friends suck and I'm frequently reviving when I play co-op. Blue Revive is the only earnable I have yet to lose. Personally, I'm really annoyed that these were nerfed without any explanation of the system or anything.
  13. Has anyone tried taking all of these phrases and seeing if they can make something coherent from it? "NOW DIE", "ON 4 U", "MOON", "DAY X /2 ME"... what else is there? I'm just wondering if putting them all together in a certain order will make some sort of message?
  14. Well, I can't take any credit for the absolute brilliance of "Barric-Aid"... that was posted by someone in the earnables thread. I said "Zombie Head Popper" because that's pretty much what it is (people have been calling it Deadshot, but I feel that's completely inaccurate)... I've heard it called "Overkill" too, and I like that, but I wanted to be clear what I was referring to. I agree that the Revive earnable needs a unique name as well, just to avoid confusion with the perk. I'll try and think of something clever if nobody else has an idea. I hadn't even thought of the first of the month thing. Interesting theory. As I said... I really really think this is something new because I've played the game a lot since earning these three and never lost them... even though I've had some pretty awful games in both solo and co-op. If I had just lost them once, maybe I would think it's nothing new... but at least twice in one game, and in other games in the same night? After never having lost them before? I've played countless games without losing any of them, yet I earn Zombie Head Popper and then lose it 3 rounds later again? There's something really odd about that. I don't know... I don't have the answers, obviously... just throwing out what I do know and what I think is safe to assume based on the info we have. I really wish 3arc would tell us more about this stuff.
  15. I was considering stats too. I don't think it's related to friends, though... when I lost them none of my friends were online playing zombies. And I'm almost certain I'm well above all my friends in all zombies stats.
  16. Off topic, but your sig is wrong. "Carrion" was made by Kevin Sherwood, who has made most of the Zombies songs, not Avenged Sevenfold.
  17. No, you definitely see the green orb again. At least for the headshot one. I had it in my video, but for some reason it's not there in the rendered version. I re-earned and lost it again a couple times this morning, and I got the orb each time. I thought so initially, but in that game I re-earned the headshot one in round 10, then lost it again in round 13. I've gone a few days without playing before and never lost them, but suddenly I'm losing them within a couple rounds now, so I don't think it has to do with not playing for a certain amount of time.
  18. Check your game in Theater Mode... just to make sure you hadn't lost and re-earned one of them. I actually didn't realize I had lost the head-popping one when I lost the barrier one until I went back to theater mode and watched it. When I got the green cloud thing I thought "What did I just get? I already had the head popping one." but I didn't have it.
  19. Yeah, I'm starting to think that's it too. The discussion is starting to turn into every other map discussion and reminding me of the "ice cave" in CotD. Theories sounding more and more outlandish as people become more and more desperate to find something to advance the story. I mean, hell... if you're having fun go for it. But I'm REALLY starting to doubt any more will come of this.
  20. To me it seems pretty obvious that the Navcards will play some role in DLC. There seems to be no use for them in the vanilla game, so that's really the only answer.
  21. I had actually just lost the blue eyes right before this game. I had them, didn't play for a night, and when I logged back on they were gone. I did still have the Revive, as I said... but in another co-op game I heard the sound and lost my Head Popper again... didn't think to see if I still had the Revive after that, but I think I did. I'll have to check next time I get on... it's bedtime. Edit- I should also mention, when I heard the sound in co-op, my friend said he didn't hear anything. So it must effect each player individually.
  22. UPDATE: I DO still have the quick revive permanent. Thankfully.
  23. This is the first I've heard of it myself. But I have heard people complaining about losing them since the last update... so maybe they were losing them during games like I did and just didn't realize, thinking they had lost them between games? I don't know... and honestly if it weren't for the fact that I noticed that weird sound the first time I may have just shrugged it off as a glitch or something. I've saved the entire game to my Black Ops II file share (Gamertag is Megaton A) so that people can 1. See for themselves if they think I edited the video or something and 2. Can maybe find something I missed... because I have no idea why this is happening. For the record, I have not completed either Easter Egg.
  24. Let me start by saying I've had all known earnable upgrades since shortly after release. Quick Revive, Zombie Head Popper, Barric-Aid. Tonight I started a solo game, and on round 1 the zombie heads were still popping, and my boards were still screwed-in steel. A few rounds later, I'm killing zombies and I hear a weird sound I never heard before. Suddenly, zombie heads are no longer popping and my boards are regular old wood again. Later in the game I re-earn the Zombie Head Popper... and a round or two after that, I hear the same sound and the next zombie I kill goes down with his head still intact. Now, I've played a decent amount of Tranzit and this is the first time I've lost these "earnables", so my question is... were they nerfed? It's obviously not a glitch since there is an audible indicator when you lose them. GbGMHbIjjz8 You may need to turn up the sound to hear the effect I'm talking about. It's a bit subtle. I have yet to play co-op to find out if I still have the Revive earnable or not. So the big question is... what causes it? Both times it happened I was shooting zombies. Is it a timed thing, maybe? Any ideas?
  25. Ok, I just lost the Barric-Aid earnable... DURING A GAME. I don't think this is a glitch. I'm not sure exactly what was going on, but I checked in round 1 to make sure I still had it. I did. I rode the bus around to power, town, back to the diner... had it the whole way. While at the diner I heard some weird sound I had never heard before. Not sure how to explain it, but it was kind of a "negative" sound. Like... it meant something bad and not something good? Shortly after that I got on the bus and I didn't have it anymore. Maybe the sound was unrelated... could just be some of the normal ambient noise of the map and it was just quiet enough at the time for me to notice it, I'm not sure. I'm still playing the same game... but when it's over I'll go into theater mode and get a clip edited and start a thread to see if anyone can help me with figuring it out.
