  1. Just re-release the maps for free or don't bother. No one is gonna pay anywhere close to those numbers for maps they already own (twice). There's no profit to be had here. Except for damaging your PR.
  2. Thanks for all the donations so far, friends! We <3 you back! Bedankt voor je donatie! @ZombieOfTheDead Paypal never worked for me as well. You can buy a prepaid Visa card instead at any nearby store. Over here they come in values of 25,- 100,- 500,- etc. Once bought, just activate the card on the designated website, and you can start buying stuff online just like you would with any normal credit card. I know it worked for Lenne.
  3. Mix is right. Treyarch's next cod has been in the works since late 2012. There's no 50/50% production started just now. BO1's production started a few weeks after WaW was finished. BO 2's production started before BO1 was finished. Both confirmed by Treyarch, you can look it up if you want. So we can conclude Treyarch started working on their next CoD sometime around when BO2 was (nearly) finished. And no, developers don't take long breaks whenever their current product or project is finished. They start working on their next one almost immediately. Finally, Activision announced Sledgehammer becoming a standard cod dev and the 3-year dev cycle last year, but when do you think they told Treyarch, IW and Sledgehammer about this? They told them after Sledgehammer was finished with MW3, or possible during MW3's production or maybe even way before that. (Since we know Sledgehammer started writing AW's story back when MW3 was released) Treyarch knew their next CoD was going to be postponed until 2015 way before we did, I can assure you.
  4. Both should be good. Maps with a fine balance between exciting (new) gameplay features and a well-crafted and well-told story are the best maps. Look at Mob or Origins. Definitely the better two of BO2's total sum. The problem with Tranzit, Nuketown, Die Rise and Buried was that the story (what little there was of it) was so laughably and poorly executed, it really hurt the map. If the character I'm playing as doesn't give two shits about what's happening; why should I? And even if you don't like the story in Mob or Origins; the fact that they took it serious, the developers, and the characters you play as, gives the map just a whole other dimension to it. Compared to the boring, unmemorable Green Run or Nuketown. A deep, interesting story greatly enriches the map's atmosphere, setting, easter egg, characters and imo replayability. Just like well thought out gameplay features do.
  5. @DeathBringerZen not true. They always had 2 years to develop their titles. For instance: BO2's composer Jack Wall was brought in in november 2011. (The year that MW3 was released) and he said back then the game was already 1 year in development. (nov. 2010, when BO 1 was released) Treyarch also confirmed that they started worked on Black Ops 2 even before BO1 was completed. And finally, to Quote Treyarch directly: You know, we started development on Black Ops back in early 2009 after World at War had shipped. Whoever you talked to, he was clearly not telling you the truth. No developer waits a full year until their DLC season is over to start production of their next title. That doesn't make any financial sense. Once their game has shipped, Raven/Neversoft and a few devs from either Treyarch/IW starts working on the DLC maps, while the rest starts working on the next title.
  6. The production for Treyarch's next Call of Duty title went into production 1 months after Black Ops 2's Apocolypse DLC was dropped. I actually assumed it was earlier that that to be honest but a Dev confirmed they got a 1 month holiday before getting straight back into the next title. @DeathBringerZen that can't be right. It would give Treyarch only 2 years to develop their next title, which is impossible given that we know from Activision each CoD dev now has 3 years of development time as supposed to 2. Early production of the next game starts 1-2 months after the last game is finished. Before Sledgehammer jumped in, this gave Treyarch and IW each 2 years to develop their games. Now with the new dev added in, they each get an extra year of development, meaning 3 years total like Activision said. Also, @Stop mocking me0 they outsource most of the DLC work to developers like Raven Software and what used to be Neversoft. 7. If they bring back Survival/Grief/No Man's Land on small, enclosed areas of a larger map. I'd love to see no perk machines at all, instead only the Wunderfizz machine. More randomness, less repetitiveness. Other than that, they should only bring back the Wunderfizz in huge maps the size of Tranzit/Origins.
  8. @Stop mocking me0 calm down. This has nothing to do with age. A lot of dark blue text on an already dark background is very hard to read for a lot of people. If you reorganize your list according to their level of importance like down below, it will not only make your OP look so much better, but also make everything easy to read. Like so: Vital - - -
  9. The One and PS4 lack killer apps. I don't care how much one or the other costs, as long as both don't have triple A exclusives yet, like Gears of War 4 or Uncharted 4, I'll hold off on getting one. Blops 2 Zombies pushed the decades-old cod game engine to its limits. Not the actual console hardware. It's all about how powerful your engine is. If they had gotten let's say, Unreal Engine 3, for zombies in BO 2. It would've looked, performed and played 20 times better.
  10. I don't believe Treyarch's next CoD title will be next-gen only. Ubisoft for instance said that only after 2015, they'll stop making AC games for 360/PS3 because of the hardware limitations. I can see Activision doing the same thing. Especially since they have a timed-exclusivity deal with a company who's latest console is not selling very well. And this CoD will only truly be amazing once it's next-gen only is too optimistic thinking. Sledgehammer says they're taking full advantage of the next-gen systems, and AW is getting ported back to last gen by another developer. That dev will just cut or severely limit any features that are too much for the last gen versions. Like Shadow of Morder had a very intricate and complex ai system -- the Nemesis System -- which they simply scaled back and simplified a lot on the last gen consoles. And seeing how pretty much every next-gen only game being released can't even hit a 4 year old standard - 1080p and 60fps. I doubt the first next-gen only cod game is going to be that much different from the crossplatform ones.
  11. So Unity is going to be 900p/30fps on PS4/One to avoid "all the debates and stuff". Nice try Ubisoft.

    1. ZombieOfTheDead

      ZombieOfTheDead

Lol, that's really dumb. Just make the game right

    2. DeathBringerZen

      DeathBringerZen

The difference between 900p and 1080p is unrecognizable with the human eye, so why is it such a concern? Not having a pop, just saying that people will barely noticed any kind of difference. It will still look beautiful, and will still be in HD.

    3. Slade

      Slade

The human eye cannot distinguish the difference between 1600x900 and 1920x1080? Uh... 900p is not even full-HD, a standard from 2008. Come on, it's supposed to be a "true next-gen" game. Even Black Flag had a higher resolution. What gives.

  12. EJ, you're giving Treyarch too much credit. There's no logic in changing up a loading screen image or any game asset because it got "leaked". Only if it was some crazy major spoiler and fans were going crazy about it, they would consider putting some manpower into changing it up. The leaked image is obviously fake by the way.
  13. I was playing Gears of War 3's Execution Mode. With only one life per round, you need to down your enemies and execute them while they're helplessly crawling on the ground before your kill counts. I see the last guy on the enemy team running up to get the OneShot, one big ass sniper rifle. Beat him to it, downed him, then grabbed the oneshot and executed him with it. The result was my russian teammates screaming and laughing and one hilariously high-pitched angry voice rant from the guy I executed. This is how the oneshot execution looks by the way:
  14. Hahaha, good one SHG. Now show us the real co-op mode.

  15. @the_clay_bird Here's the difference. The devs have hinted to some 'big secret' in Shangri-La, something relating to the shang mountains (which are named vista_mars in the files). And indirectly to the planet Mars itself. Let's get a list going to fill everyone in: + The Soviet Lunar Landers around the map. ^ this is what spawned the Shang is on Mars theory. _______________ Jimmy has stated numerous times that he doesn't reveal secrets on twitter. Personally, I think every time he's being cryptic, it's not a troll, but some very obscure hint to an even more obscure secret the devs put into Zombies at some point that have yet to be discovered by the community.
  16. What's so impossible about it having something to do with Mars? Let's not forget a guy teleported to the Moon with no equipment whatsoever, walked around and lit a torch like it was nothing. I'm not saying Shang's location is on mars, but there's definitely a correlation between Shangri-la and the planet Mars. The devs have hinted to it plenty, and it's in the gamefiles. It's no coincidence, and it has to mean something. Although what exactly, is debatable. Some say it means Shang is on mars, others say Jimmy's just trolling. Who knows. It could be a much smaller easter egg for all we know. The whole theme of Shangri-La is pareidolia. Seeing faces and objects in clouds and old photos et cetera. And there have been many people saying you can see egyptian statues, faces, footsteps, structures and most notably - pyramids on the surface of both mars and the moon. So maybe that's what the whole mars thing is all about. It's definitely where they got their inspiration from to put the pyramid on Moon's surface in the loading screen. The inhabitans certainly didn't master time travel. As soon as Group 935 showed up, they were forced to dig out 115. The power switch is to power up all the various mining equipment, generators and mine cart you see around the map.
  17. Look at the very center of the pages. You can see water on top of the cliffs, and if you look slighty to the right you can see the water bursting through. I'll see if I can find the original loading screen file on my PC, it's more noticeable on there. le edit: If that's correct, that means the temples must be below sea-level. @Black Hand Smith Yes but the problem is the mountains don't change color like the rest of the scenery when you go back in time. That's when they really stand out.
  18. The Loading Screen itself has always bugged me. What is going on? Things I noticed - The whole area is far below sea-level. - Temples being sucked into a vortex - There are three orbs, or planets or whatever, in the sky to the left of the eclipse. - The place is about to be flooded. Did we ever find any answers to these questions? If you've noticed anything else feel free to add it. Who knows, this loading screen might be the key to solving the mystery of Shang's location/Jimmy's tweets.
  19. Not in its original form sure, but you can change that by making it more like earth's atmosphere, aka terraforming the planet to allow life to flourish. You need two things for this: oxygen and the greenhouse effect. Let's go over the greenhouse effect first. The first problem is the temperature, Mars is very cold. (something like minus 60 degrees C on average. During winter it can get as low as minus 125 degrees C) So you need to heat up the whole planet's atmosphere first to get a greenhouse effect going. You can do this by trapping or absorbing the sun's rays, and adding a ton of flurocarbons to the atmosphere. As the planet warms up, it'll release carbon dioxide, and combined with the above mentioned greenhouse effect, raise the temperature to a steady 30+ degrees. With the greenhouse effect in place, it'll roughly stay at this temperature, just like our planet. Then Mars's frozen water supplies would melt, releasing oxygen. Not nearly enough though, as just Mars's atmosphere alone is composed of a mere 0.13 percent of oxygen. Earth has 20.95 percent. So then you need to sit around and wait until there's enough oxygen to breathe. Or artificially add more and boom. You can life there. In theory. TL;DR If Shang is on Mars, it means the planet has already terraformed to match Earth's atmosphere. As evident by the water, viridiplanae and oxygen.
  20. F*** you Festo. I had the idea of a branching storyline back in July. brb Changing my iCloud password and putting my story drafts through the shredder. Thread bookmarked. Trabajo excelente, puta. 9 options? Slade approves your awesome reference.
  21. He's teasing Giant Leap Forward coming to Wii U. Remember when Nuketown 2025 was suddenly added a few weeks ago? They also updated the Wii U Zombies Leaderboards with the Die Rise map, even though it wasn't available yet. They corrected their mistake shortly afterwards.
  22. 200 mb down. 25 mb up. $100 a month. Digital TV included.
