Weekly thought: IRL; Everytime you kill a zombie, 100 gallons of water disappear from the earth. Do you make yourself a survivalist, or take on the onslaught and hope for the best?
-
You do realize that there at 3.86 x 10^20 gallons of water on Earth, right?
We could kill 10,000,000,000,000,000,000 zombies before we used it all up, and 96% of that water, would be salt water, or ground water anyways and wouldn't effect us much.
With that many zombies (3 x 10^18) we could kill at one zombie a second, a zombie every second for the next 95,100,000,000 years.
The planet will probably not last that long, as we are roughly half way through at 4.5 billion down 4.5 billion to go, so with 100 gallons of water disappearing with each zombie death, we could kill about 21.5 zombies a second, every second for the next 4.5 billion years, before we ran out of water from that process.
So, I'll slaughter as many zombies as I'd like if this was a real life zombie apocalypse, as I have more pressing concerns than the stability of the oceans a few thousand years in the future, which is likely to be ruined anyways if a zombie apocalypse has occured.

In the land of the blind, he who wields the only flashlight is king...

I know this probably won't happen, but if they revealed Exo Zombies to be part of Treyarchs story, say an off-shoot timeline. Would you like that?
-
My point, which I realized I didn't actually make, is that a zombies story semi related to Treyarchs (granted the gameplay already looks too similar to ignore) would just further that idea of "yeah it's fun and they did a good job with it, but is that okay when they really didn't come up with the original idea for the game?"

Some time in the future I will have to choose bettween origins or buried (for mark 2) what do you suggest?
-
Origins is probably one of my top 3, if not my favorite zombies map.
But I like objectives and puzzles.
If you hate games where you have to set up during the first 10-15 rounds or so, then you might not like it.
The RGM2, is nice, but not better than Origins in my opinion. Besides it seems ultra-rare outside of Buried anyways. seems. never tested though.

This name changing thing is getting a bit ridiculous. I don't think it is a feature that should be incorporated into the forum to be honest. Sorry to be a grinch n all. lol

College math... why is it so difficult? I'm only in Calc 1, and as a Math major I fear what's next.
-
Just don't worry about it.
Math is a procedural skill, not a recollection based skill set.
It takes time, and practice. If the way your professors describe something doesn't give you a "oh, okay." moment, then you need to find a friend, tutor, or intelligent hobo who can explain it in ways that it does.
I did awful in Pre-Calc and prior. I'm not necessarily a typical case, but in Calc 1 and Calc 2, with a good professor, I was able to firmly grasp the main concepts, and at least temporarily grasp the specifics through out the semesters. I haven't yet gotten lower than an 85% on an exam for a math class in College.
The way you learn it, becomes the most important.

The conceptual leap into what integrals, derivatives and limits are is one of the bigger leaps in math. You never really are prepared for it in previous math courses.
Also, multi-variable calculus isn't as scary as it sounds. It's just extremely tedious, because it is basically running an integral for each variable while treating the variables you aren't integrating as constants.
That will all make sense to you one day.
If you survive Infinite series.
Actuarial Science is more along the accounting path. I don't think you need more than calc 1 for it actually.

What's up with the flashing lights on the rings under the excavation site in Origins? They're usually white, and blinking out in some odd pattern after you upgrade all four staves, but sometimes they're blinking red instead, and in my most recent solo game, they were blinking green..

But morse is two options, a binary of sorts. dot and dash. Green, red, and white gives three options.
Just as well, I've only seen red and white in MP and green in solo, but I only recently started paying attention to them.
Also, I find it strange how we can still turn the rings. The knobs for Lightning staff lock up after you've completed their steps, so why don't the rings lock in place too?
