  1. Been playing with MrRoflWaffles, SilentCrisis and darkjolteon. We had a lovely game on Kino der Toten, camping the MP40 room. Connection issues forced us all down at 23, but we probably were going to die close to 25 anyway. Sadly we lost darkjolteon (he had to go), so does anyone want to jump in? We need one more.
  2. I think you'd need a more situation by situation based type list for what you're asking, Sazh. Though I do suggest, for your question to go with the Thompson on Der Riese. It's in a great position right after the trap and is wonderful in terms of points, ease of getting ammo and is an integral part of many strategies on Der Riese. What's your purpose in getting an SMG on Der Riese? Is it part of your strategy or do you need it for earlier rounds? The Type 100 is better but it's location is not the most ideal. So Thompson for both would be my suggestion. Ehj~
  3. Wow, that was brilliant, my friend. The use of spawn control, the timing, everything was really well-done and well thought out. About how many zombies does it kill for both runs? All in all, this is something I'd love to try once max spawns hit. Excellent work. +1 for sure. Ehj~
  4. Tomorrow night. Let's own it up. How about MP5K challenge on Kino der Toten?
  5. As you should be! Here at CoDz, we've got strategy, story, and teamwork all covered. It's really a great all around place. Me? I'm Ehjookayted AKA EyeCntSpel, your friendly, neighborhood educated man. If you have any questions, let me know. Enjoy your stay and have some brains to start off! Ehj~
  6. Also, for Moon. Note that Sithbas also has a round 99 on that map. 99 has been done on Moon, many times. This one works as a world record as well. I've played with Sith and can vouch that he is indeed a certified zombie slayer. Chopper, way, Superhands can all attest to that I'm sure. He's also partnered so I'm pretty sure he's legit. I'm not sure what this guy was talking about with Moon.
  7. Hello! My name is Ehjookayted AKA EyeCntSpel and I'm your friendly, neighborhood educated man. Welcome to CoDz! Here we've got strategy, story, and teamwork all covered. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Enjoy your stay! Have some brains to start your journey off. Ehj~
  8. Can you please explain what you mean by "tier list"? Do you want someone to rank the best guns for that map?
  9. You know dude, you're all heart about CoDz and zombies, and your writing shows it. I can really connect with that kind of passion, undying and relentless. Thanks so much for the kind words, and I can't help but think that the PM I sent was me giving back to you. Here's a cheesy story incoming. [tab][/tab]Well, that's about all I have to say, my friend. It's been a real pleasure and I hope we can both continue to contribute to the forum in a greater capacity than before. I'll see you around, bro. Ehj~
  10. Excellent thread. Now, while I haven't thoroughly read all of it, I must say that each of the main points you made was well supported, and as hard as it is for me to really visualize Shangri-La in an existing location (as opposed to a mythical place like Wonderland), your thread and Tac's are both very well researched. I need to really start thinking about what is truly possible and plausible. Great work bro. Ehj~ P.S. The red is a little hard on the eyes. Any way you wouldn't mind changing it? Thanks!
  11. For solo players, the methods and the strategies you use are key to your success and upon failure or success, can be evaluated with holistic equality when compared to co-op performance. Now, one may think that this is a silly idea, but as the cliched adage goes: we learn more from our failures than our triumphs. It is in our best interests, even those of us with World Records and masters of the zombie world to reflect back on our games to see what we can learn. So again, review the questions, answer all that are applicable if you would like (maybe even add on more), and just discuss amongst yourselves. Thanks as always for reading. Ehj~
  12. Today was one of the best zombie slaying days I've ever had, and it was a mini-playdate for me. It was a quiet day in the summer life of an American teenage boy. I ate lots of chips and apples, drank lots of water, rested loads and slayed the undead with the PS3 kids. June 28, 2012- Ehjookayted's Mini-Playdate I'm an early bird. I woke up at 8, did some Find That Train stuff. Managed to do the actual stamin-up room on COTD as well as the power room in Ascension. I then had a very, very nice game of zombies with my favorite pokemon: Jolteon and Flareon (and Jolteon's brother). It was Flareon's first real game of sorts, and we made it to 23 on Der Riese! Granted, I didn't play my best and I was very bad about the guns I got, so I feel we could have squeezed 3 or 4 more rounds out of that game. Next up on that list was a game with ChopperNator and Sithbas. This was perhaps one of the best and most thrilling games I've had recently. A No Power challenge on Kino Der Toten. We made it to 21, though I feel like we died because of my mistake. Although Sith has told me to not worry about it and just be proud of 21 on a very difficult challenge. Afterwards, I took a nice rest and then watched ChopperNator's live stream with IIsteveII, and in the chat, I talked to way2g00, Sithbas, and pishizor (all CoDz members). After that I rested briefly, and my two personal best games of the day came shortly after. A game with Silentcrisis (MikeChrisA) started out as a 4 player challenge on Ascension (camp the PAP room). Immediately, someone dropped out, so we ended up camping the PAP room with 3. We made it to 30, until someone had to go, so Mike and I moved on to the MPL room, just to hang out and chill. We ended up playing till 35 and quitting, but in the process, I found a viable strategy! Here's the end game scoreboard. Now at this point, it was about 8:30. I saw our good friend Jay on, and we played at about 9:00 until 11:00. In the lobby, we talked (just he and I) about his map experience. He had only played Moon twice but I wanted to help get him to 30 on that map! Jay will tell you he played horribly, but in actuality, he only had 3 downs that are deemed legitimate (by me). Unfortunately, I had to go so we only got to 25, but I ended up playing a perfect game (0 downs until deciding to end the game), so I was happy with my performance! Don't let Jay tell you he played horribly! Three times playing a map and you don't normally get 25, so good job there dude.
  13. Oh hell yes, boys. Silentcrisis AKA MikeChrisA is on Ehjookayted AKA EyeCntSpel's team.
  14. I got Jolteon on my team for sure. Shirtless if he's up for it or can make it. I think way already got Jay. Darn.
  15. Add me to the list MurderMachine! I won't be able to play seriously for about a month though. Anyway, as far as the comparison to No Power and No Perks being similar, it's true but I believe they should be listed as different challenges. Juggernog's presence, or lack thereof, is just the obvious variable in contributing to difficulty. When examined closer, we'll all find that No Perks is substantially less challenging than No Power, both for solo and co-op. My primary reasoning behind this is a stat- ChopperNator achieved 50 rounds with no perks on Kino, whereas the no power record hovers around 26 for Kino. Not only that, but with power comes Pack-a-Punch and traps. Furthermore, areas open up with power. Verruckt, Der Riese, Kino, Five, Ascension, Moon all undergo significant changes that make the map playable for a round 30 or higher. No Perks is a very fun and manageable challenge because it is everything fun in zombies kicked to the next level of concentration. With only two hits but everything else, you can easily succeed but fail as well. Then, you have No Power. No power is not implicit in stating no perks, nor is it explicit. It is harder in every map except two. Take a look at some of the videos of RelaxingEnd. Round 40, no Power, Call of the Dead. With No Power, you can still kill George. Also, you can switch drops in Shangri-La. That being said, No Power is a whole different game for those two maps, as well as maps like Kino and Verruckt, where no power suggests a heavy emphasis on camping for co-op and a tricky full map loop for solo. This is how I choose to see No Perks versus No Power; however, for the purposes of your challenge hub, if you wish to decree that No Power implies no perks, then they are indeed of similar difficulty, with No Power being the slightly more challenging because of the lack of the previously enumerated benefits.
  16. Everyday we're fan girling. Good to have you back, fellow castle.
  17. See you later, Andrew. It'll be interesting to not talk to you for a while. I'll try to take up the mantle of writing a ton in your absence. But there's something about your style that's going to be missed for a bit. Take care, bro. 8-) Ehj~
  18. Oh I know Ollie, I just think the Pokemon couple role went well and was a very creative way to approach it. :)
  19. Hey there! I'm glad you've joined my friend. Flareon is certainly a creative name, no doubt thanks to Jolteon's influence. Well then, the forum regulars have all greeted you well, but here at CoDz, we have everything for anyone, despite our main focus being on zombies. It'll be an awesome all around time! 8-) I'll talk to you soon! Ehj~
  20. Isn't a big improvement but: 315 kills and 27K points.
  21. Nice list Hands. I would also like to add consistency to that list. Anyone who can pull of those high scores on a regular basis should be considered one of the best players. I'm the type of player who will do absolutely ridiculous things that I believe are some of the most insane I've ever seen, but I also do things that are absolutely abysmal. I've worked on my consistency so that I can try to do all these things on a regular basis, but for now, I think that consistency is an intangible that can separate the legends from the pros. I hope to eventually compile a detailed list of this, and would like all the authors to fill out a finalized form of all the things we decide that comprise a truly great player. I'll speak to you more on Skype about this, Hands.
  22. More than half the thread is now a discussion about lifestyle choices and how we choose to spend our time. This isn't a place to prove that spending time with family is better than playing a video game; I asked you all to comply with the categories, develop new ones, or just throw out some opinions with video evidence. Strong analysis was what I got in the first part of the responses, and I thank everyone who participated in that as well as enjoyed the breakdown. There is no one right answer, but if we can breakdown the categories, we can get a better sense of what it truly takes to rule the zombies. This is a fun game that we all love, and the assumption that I took in expecting all responses to be intelligent and respectful to those being discussed was clearly and conclusively shown to be wrong. As evidenced by the majority of the last twelve responses to the thread, this just turned into a bragging fest. Bravado has now taken charge of something I thought to be beneficial to the creation of this great community project, and that truly is something sad. However, I continue to have faith in you all. I'm deleting anything that concerns the issues raised. Any other messages posted in here that do not comply to the original posting or that are not part of a discussion on complex game mechanics and breakdowns of players' abilities will promptly be deleted. Thank you. Ehj~
  23. Sorry, but a similar thread has already been made on this. viewtopic.php?f=83&t=20744
  24. [REDEFINITION]: Entry 101 These categories are: 2. Results Now, I'm talking about the big picture here, solo, co-op, challenges, serious games, everything. This is about analyzing every nuance of the game, of things related to finishing rounds, of things that just make us scream and stare in awe at some of these greats. Now, I hope that you understand that my list is purely my own opinion and my careful observation. There are others whose skill is nearly as good, whose results are nearly as good, whose influence is nearly as large, but in my eyes, these are my greats. Onto my list. And the best in the world is: aLvaR1toOwNz And the best in the world is: Superhands And the best in the world is: TheRelaxingEnd Relaxing is a combination of everything. He also has nearly 37,000 YouTube subscribers and over 400 videos, nearly 200 (I think) of which are zombies related. Of these, he holds several records, but not only that, he was one of the first to display truly breathtaking gameplay at its highest level. Can anyone say Call of the Dead? This man is truly an icon in the community, but we all forget how good he can be sometimes. ===================================================================================== [tab][/tab]Thanks for reading, and I hope you can participate in this discussion, or just leave an opinion for us to ponder. Either way, have at it! This is the start of possibly the greatest community project in the zombies community ever. I thank each and every one of you for your inspiration, your presence, and your desire to give yourselves, ourselves, and CoDz a name to be reckoned with across the entirety of the world wide web.
  25. Well said, Rissole. It's going to be called the [REDEFINED] Master Zombies and will be completely brand new guides except for Solo Superhands' and How to be a Good Zombies Player. So don't worry. Brand spanking new guide.
