  1. Marlton. PLEASE MARLTON! TELL ME YOUR SECRETS! YOU KNOW SOMETHING!
  2. You don't hear that very often around here! I agree. In most instances, I enjoyed Five more than I did Kino. I loved the old scientist, the teleporting, the PaP room and most of all - the Winters Howl. Having a Death Machine and plowing through Zombies in the tight underground lab is always a fun ride. Plus, elevators! I can bet we have all had the "so whose going to pay for the elevator" discussion .
  3. Welp, I am back to the Skull/Knife rank for the third time. Whatever the true algorithm is, I am clearly always on the brink of both the Skull rank and the Skull/Knife rank. It seems that whenever I 110% focus on revives during a week of playing public matches, I eventually get back the Skull/Knife rank. Playing your standard survival match which gives off a ton of kills must help, but doesn't seem (for me) to have the tug that reviving does.
  4. Still have my Ultra and Violet in there. Had them in the Fridge for about 3-4 months. Probably time to change them out.
  5. That is the point of teasing. They know we want it. Which, we do....obviously. They aren't referencing the perk or anything. Treyarch are basically saying "Hah! We know you want it...but you can't have it. It's juuuuuust out of reach! *sinister laugh*" I don't know anything about Buried, sorry. So I can't really make any points about that side of it.
  6. They don't have it on those maps because of how powerful it is. Treyarch knows how popular the Mustang & Sally + PhD combo is.
  7. Wait, so it's not in Die Rise or TranZit? I think that seems fair enough. They didn't include the actual machine for a reason, so having the Persistent Perk in TranZit & Die Rise seems like a logical choice for them, considering how similar they are. In the developers mind, once the initial grip and feeling of the map is over (as in, they understand everyone has played these maps and gotten the feeling we wanted them to have), I'm sure they'll go nuts and include lots of the other new perks to these maps. Probably a few months after DLC4 is out. Just like in BO1, when they added in those new perks to Kino.
  8. I think I'm the only one here who sort of enjoyed Five! Granted, Black Ops 1 was my first Zombies experience, so I wasn't used to the more open design in the WaW maps.
  9. Yeah, a lot of people on my friends list who I play Zombies with are from random public matches. It's a great way to find partners for future games.
  10. We all know that that lots of them are really nice people. It only takes one disrespectful player to go on a rant though.
  11. If they're willing to do an anagram for the BO1 DLC titles, doing it for the characters definitely ain't a stretch. Nice catch :)
  12. Released by Vahn. https://soundcloud.com/davidvonderhaar/ ... t-strategy Nothing interesting. Probably a good chance Nolan North did this for Vahn to upload as a joke, or it could be a an EE line in DLC 3/4. Possibly one for Stu to hear? ;)
  13. Expecting a really, really cool location. While I understand Treyarch not wanting to try and top the Moon setting, they HAVE to set the map somewhere interesting. Not only for the climax to 'this season' of the story, but for gameplay too.
  14. I thought revives do matter? Hasn't it been proven that K/D isn't the only criteria for ranking up?
  15. Personally, I don't exactly hate them, I have just had a bad experience with them. First of all, I am only a Skull rank. So, everytime I am in a lobby and a shotgun ranked player joins, the player will just immediately leave. Secondly, out of all the people who glitch/abuse Grief, they are almost always Shotgun ranked players. Again, this has just been my experience. I was in a MotD game today playing with two other Shotgun ranked players. These players didn't care about my rank in this case because I joined when the countdown was at 1. As the game when on, I was a little suspicious. Their skill in-game didn't seem to match the skill of a conventional shotgun ranked player. After awhile, I caught them both glitching, killing a bunch of Zombies unable to get to them because they were walking on some invisible wall. I assumed they also did the Die Rise glitch similar to this. I guess that explained their rank, glitching to get kills. Agreed. I really, really wish this ranking system was different. I also think there just aren't enough ranks to justify the system they use. Five, or four (since it's ridiculously easy to get from one bone to two) ranks aren't enough to truly showcase ones true skill level. Even some players who deserve the shotgun rank won't ever get it due to the extremely high requirement to get it. The true skill of someone who just entered the Skull rank compared to the true skill of someone at the end of the Skull rank (as in, they're on the brink of getting Skull/Knife) is a huge difference.
  16. One of my latest was on Die Rise. We just built the Trample Stream, I planted mine on the edge of the building so I could jump back over to the tower/roof area. When I planted it, I walked on it. I kept walking and fell off the building. I completely blacked out on the fact it needed the 5 second wait. I wasn't looking directly at it either, so the moving parts didn't make me 'wake-up' and realize I had to wait. It was actually pretty funny seeing it in theater mode. Just casually walking off the building.
  17. I keep it on three. It's not as bad as it sounds. There is a HUGE leap between two and three. I use it for no other reason than the fact that I'm absolutely awful with medium/high sensitivity. I don't know, for some reason I just can't control those speeds with any sense of precision.
  18. I'd love to see a weapon based upon the idea of player roles. When bought/received in the box, you'd have to make a permanent choice about what type of weapon it becomes. Using the Wave Gun as a basic template: The 'medic' players can make the weapon specialize in reviving people just by shooting them. They can also shoot players and give them the ability to heal faster. The 'assault' players can make the weapon specialize in a higher damage output, a high magazine capacity and the ability to shoot the rounds slightly faster. The 'support' players can make the weapon specialize in purely helping out players and making the game as a whole slightly easier. By shooting other players, you can give them an effect like the V-R11 did - insta kill. Barricades and buildables become stronger by shooting them (in the case of buildables - shooting the table). The 'general' players can give it a grenade launcher attachment. However, instead of grenades, it shoots QED devices. Allowing the player to do a bit of everything. I don't know, just think it'll be fun to have a weapon that doesn't force the player into a 'get a group together and kill them all in seconds' type of deal. Don't get me wrong, I love these types of weapons. Just for once though, a weapon purely based on different roles would be nice.
  19. Far out. Initially earnt my Skull/Knife emblem at 78 K/D. Then lost it at 70 K/D. Now, I have gotten my K/D up to 78/79 and still haven't gotten it back.
  20. Lots of people did. It's just now, we know exactly how to get it. Which is the most important part.
  21. Good to hear people are getting the green smoke.
  22. I played Turned and my K/D shot down by about 25 and I still have shotguns. Maybe you weren't playing Turned very well, and that was why you were de-ranked? I won almost every game of mine. Yeah, I didn't play Turned very well. Out of those 4 or so games, I only won 1. I came second in all of the others though. The thing is, when I finally got to my Skull/Knife, I stopped 'farming' kills at Town/Survival. I went back with public matches with randoms. I also just got Die Rise too, that caused a lot of deaths in my early games. In other words, the second I got my Skull/Knife rank, my K/D was always then going down very slowly. Which, I am sure unlike you, got your shotguns and consistently played well after. I initially earnt my Skull/Knife at a 78 K/D. I now lost them today at 69 K/D. I am guessing I need to get it back to 78 ish?
  23. Sadly got deranked from playing Turned. i knew it would save deaths to your profile, but I thought I could at least fit in 3 or 4 games. I worked so hard to get to the Skull/Knife, all for it to go away in a matter of minutes. While I understand the specifics of the ranking system are unknown, am I still on the edge of getting back my Skull/Knife? Will I only need to play a few games to get it back?
