  1. That sounds almost 100% connection related I've had those issues on all cod games in situations where my internet is sucking or for the small time I was using free apartment wifi to play online lol. Dont think this is update related imo
  2. Actually you are wrong bro, they are not even!!! Snipers are the most BS OP weapons in BO2! Snipers BROKE BO2 with their little tac inserts. All these nerds running around with their "panic LEFT TRIGGER RIGHT TRIGGER" AUTO AIM QUCKSCOPE / BLACKSCOPE BULLCRAP.... Snipers are broken in BO2 PERIOD! Snipers outgun SMG's at close range in BO2,,,,, now how does that make sense? Following are the BS shotguns like the "RED SCREEN GUN" otherwise known as the Remington, meaning I can empty an entire clip into someone only for them to sponge all my bullets, cancel them out and in one short ass animation "BLOOP" i'm done and when I watch the kill cam their screen is completely RED but somehow they lived even though I shot 1st.... Yeah, that's the Remington shotgun for you!! fuKin BS! take it out the game!! Then you have the BS "NO RECOIL LMG's" extremely OP! Slap a Target Finder on that LMG and you get some kind of a built in heath boost, at least it seems that way... And the Pistols, if you can snipe someone across the map with a pistol you have a problem, I'm sorry but they are waaaaayyyy OP! you want to see a balanced pistol? Go play Battlefield 4 and you'll find plenty! On the other hand you have the assault rifles and the smg's which were both severely UNDERPOWERED everything else in the game outclassed these 2 weapon types.... so no, you are wrong! They are not even,,,,, they are far far far far from even!! Play Hardcore. The solution is so simple. No more emptying a whole smg clip into someone and them not dying. 2 bullets maximum
  3. Want realism? Play hardcore multiplayer Me and my friends have played exclusively hardcore since at least MW2, and it levels the playing field. Dont have to worry about OP weapons because everything is OP (just like real life lol) Zombies wise, I think BO1 gets the slight edge, although I LOVE the stats tracking in BO2. If BO1 had that, it would win in a landslide. MP I give the slight edge to BO2. The pick 10 system was a game changer and perfect imo. As well as the earning weapon camos, rather than purchasing with cod $ or whatever. And BO1 had nuketown which has ever since been a scourge to COD
  4. This. I doubt another m will ever be this hated by the community. I tried hard to enjoy it, but constant glitches/bugs make it intolerable (more glitchy then most Treyarch games, that's saying a lot). Impossible after a week to find any friends playing it, and i didn't blame them. Major fail, terrible end to zombies. But bo1 sucked in every way, so why not zombies too? Thankfully bo2 left on a better note. We are still dealing with Treyarch, so of course the game's a glitchy mess, but a huge step up from bo1's swan song. Nml: best feature of moon, imo. Low gravity: annoying gimmick. They had to try. They had to fail. Cosmonaut: awful plus extremely buggy. Excavators breeching: annoying fail. Hacker: constantly glitches out in 2 man games, which i play. Knife: annoyingly placed, extremely difficult to get at an appropriate time (points were too constrained in the early game, you would end up having no choice but to buy a gun that you should never buy if you couldn't get enough points for this). Map, without glitches and bad programming choices is easy. Annoyance added to make it harder. So bad. So very, very poorly done. Wow. That map sucked/sucks. A prime example of failure at its optimum. Couldn't disagree more. The only really game breaking glitch on this map that seemed rather consistent is the invisible excavator glitch. That I will concede is terrible and should have been fixed. The knife isnt that hard to get, the Low gravity is absolutely fantastic, and is negated shortly after the match begins by turning on power and staying inside. No idea what you mean by hacker glitches other than the audio loop which is easily fixable by hacking something else. Cosmonaut is annoying, but so was George, Screamer/Napalm, "Him", Brutus, Ghost Lady's, etc. Easy to avoid if you pay attention though So let me get to the bad ass parts of the map: NML is freaking awesome. The EE is hands down the best in zombies history no contest. WW is my favorite of all time as well. The visuals and sounds are amazing. Great backstory from radios. Man I love moon. Moon, Origins, and Mob of the Dead are my top 3 with Five and Shangri-La close behind I feel so sorry for 83457, because it seems like he deals with glitches much more than the normal zombie player. Hate that for you man, wish you could experience smooth un-glitched zombie awesomeness from time to time
  5. im all for Micro DLC. Its a win win. don't see any downside whatsoever
  6. If I owned a business, I would want to have applicants include their gamertag on the job application if they have one. Sorry "Bangedyourmom69" I think we're gonna go in a different direction. "420bLaZiNaLLdAy", would you be willing to submit to random drug testing? I think this would be very useful in Human Resources
  7. Apparently, a Treyarch dev recently confirmed that was actually the genuine planned DLC1 and was scrapped and replaced by Die Rise due to the communities reaction to Tranzit. It was on Moaning Camels Twitch stream, and I am sure you could probably find it easily enough if you tried. The dev said the map would be set in a farm area, but they scapped it in December and ended up going with Die Rise which was a map idea by Alex Romo (SparkyMcSparks). He had already mapped around 70% of the map as a side project. I cannot guarantee this as fact, but I can't see why the dev would lie, and there is supporting evidence on Sparky's site to suggest it could indeed have been the case. wow that's really fascinating! Damn good thing the community reacted like they did. It makes me think that wouldn't it be an intriguing concept for treyarch to release free (yes I said free) Post-DLC season maps. Wouldn't be overly complex maps, or even polished, but would include new ideas or concepts. Basically like a beta. Anyway, my thoughts behind that are two-fold, 1) it would help quench the communities' insatiable thirst for new zombies, and 2) it would give them the opportunity to hear community feedback on new concepts, and hopefully avoid a stinker like Tranzit as a main story/disc map
  8. If it's "just a shotgun" wouldn't it lose it's effectiveness around round 8-11 unPaP and 24-26 PAP? It's obviously not "just a shotgun" in the sense that its a "one only" out of the box weapon, and its effectiveness. Id certainly call it a wonder weapon, as its obviously far superior to other weapons of its ilk. Like calling the Scavenger "just a sniper rifle"
  9. It's obviously put that Porter made the Ray Gun Mark II. Although, considering the thought that the original Ray Gun plans had been stolen from a Japanese facility (let's face it, we know it was... Zombies logic), it could have always been possible that Porter was trying to mimic the design and made his own fixes to the machinery of the gun, to make it much more better than its previous version. That's my speculation, to be fair. But it always is open to the possibility. NO. Dude. I don't mean to argue with you, and I am sure you know a lot more about the story than I. But, that's a hell of a lot of speculation. He must have been present in Borough? Other than the name of the pack a punched version of the Rgm2, there is absolutely no link to Porter being in Borough, I really can't see how you would link the two properly. Realistically, I think the existence of the RGM2 came about something like this: Treyarch employee #1: What wonder weapon shall we whack into dlc 3 guys? Treyarch employee #2: what about a new version of the Ray Gun? David Vondehaar : Go on. Treyarch employee #2: Well, I like headshots, and I like Ray Guns, so why don't we make a Ray Gun assault rifle? It can be great at taking out trains, and have no splash damage so it's like the ultimate escape weapon? David Vondehaar: I like it. I like it a lot. I've got an idea, let's include it as a map pack 3 bonus weapon, so everyone that owns the map pack gets it! Jim, what we gonna call it? Jimmy Trollinski: what about the Ray Gun Mark 2? Then when it's PaP'd it's Porter's Mark 2 Ray Gun? David Vondehaar: YES. Treyarch employee #1: Guys, we still need a map specific wonder weapon? David & Jimmy: Remake the Jet Gun. Apologies to Mocking, didn't mean to steer away from the original point, just thought I'd add my opinion on why I felt it might not return. I respect your opinion towards him, but... no. We obviously aren't talking about how the developers came up for the idea of the gun. Speculation though mate? It's not been in any audio log/radio/TV/quote etc (as a direct quote about the RGM2.) Max Porter is the original designer who designed the Ray Gun, Wave Gun/Zap Guns and Ray Gun Mk II. H. Porter is the fictional Zombies character who created them in game (or at least the PaP versions). It's not directly said, but the fact the Mark II PaP'd is Porter's Mark II, and the designer of it is Max Porter, it can be assumed it's H. Porter's creation. Anyway, I'd be up for Winter's Howl Mark II honestly, use the early version of it as a Mark II since it looks beast: Umm... no. The plans for the Ray Gun and any prototypes were stolen from a Japanese facility. Porter (Max isn't his damn name. What, did you think since it said "Max" in the Wave Gun's upgraded form, that it would point to his first name? That's idiotic. H. Porter is the real Porter, the only Porter.) basically... "improved" it. Maybe he did the same for the Ray Gun Mark II, maybe he even made the Mark II. But the story you got here is probably the worst I've ever heard. That's also speculation. It couldn't have been created before 1918, for one. That's too far back. I don't see why you would point to that first. Maxis could have created it. But Maxis may not have. Hell, maybe Maxis doesn't even know of it's existence. Hell, are we sure the Mark II is REAL? I mean, that's going on a huge limb, but... I mean, really. It's starting to sound less and less likely. A creation thrust into existence by... what? Who says anyone created it? Maybe it just... was. And will be. First: No. Second: NO. Third: NOOOOOOOOO. Fourth: I just was talking about this, god damn... I like the ideas, but no. I mean, I like the whole idea of the weapon building thing... but that already happened with Die Rise w/ the Sliquifier. And we all know how that turned out. Maxis is not, and never will be the creator. Porter's name is on the gun, is it not? Who's to say he didn't create the original Ray Gun Mark II and also an improved version, following up on what he had done for the original Ray Gun prototype? Who's to say this wasn't another prototype stolen from the Japanese facility? Who's to say he didn't just try to improve the first Ray Gun and managed to forge the Mark II? Who's to say any of this even matters, who's to say it's real? The Ray Gun Mark II has more speculation within it than it has in ammunition. We need to let it be, and, as case point, we need to understand that it probably is unlikely to show up again. ... Am I good now? Do we need more explanations? No? Fucking wonderful. Hey Bro, why don't you slow your roll on who you call idiotic. Max Porter is the employee at Treyarch who designed the Ray Gun originally. Simple mistake on my part to put Max (who actually designed the gun IRL) instead of H (the scientist in the fairy tale land of the game who invented the RG) Don't think you're gonna get a lot of respect or friends on the forum going around calling people idiotic and spouting out false claims to what I said.
  10. hahaha. im guilty of coughing or grunting to make others in the lobby see that my mic works, especially if it starts out with a extended period of silence...

  12. Actually I'd like to speak out highly against this rule. The player with the LEAST points should (almost) always buy the first door, and then the next player up should get the second, and then the top two scorers should buy the last two. On most maps (Der Riese, Kino, FIVE, Ascension, CotD, Shangri-La, Moon, and Origins) this works pretty well as these doors generally increase in price as you go along, so poorer players buy the initial cheap doors and richer players buy the later expensive doors. Usually fourdoors or so will get you to or very close to either power, or the power melee weapon of the map (if not both), or in Origins case, out to No Mans Land. Unless you're REALLY desperate, and can't buy a cheap 1000 point wall smg afterwards, you should get the ball rolling by buying the cheapest door if you happen to have the least points. My addition now: Rule #4: Don't start a match in public with strangers unless you're willing to accept the following: you'll probably down and may even bleed out once or twice; the others might not talk, or may be terrible to talk to; you might get a few early round kills stolen; things won't go exactly the way you want them to go; ragequitting is for losers; you probably won't be breaking your personal best. Also as an additional because I really want to see this supported... Rule #5: The first thing, and second and third, that you should say in an Origins public lobby is "hello" followed by standard pleasantries. NOT: "I call ---- staff! ""---- staff!"" ---- STAFF!!!!" Calling staffs is the all time biggest zombie pet peave for me. ALL TIME bigger than anything else. makes me want to punt my xbox out a window
  13. Finally hit level 72 on my Mechromancer on Borderlands 2. Time to start Overpower!

    1. GRILL

      GRILL

OP baby. I've got several characters 72+OP8 - it's, to say the least, very OP.

  14. I thought this was an AWESOME addition to zombies. Hope with next gen capabilities that they can add even more weapons with DLC packs, as I think that has been one of the coolest things with BO2 and Ghosts are the inclusion of weapons in the DLC packs. Hope the RGM2 returns as a permanent feature
  15. Played zombs for the first time in a while last night and it was fun! Played Buried with randoms... sucked though because I had to leave to go to sleep and I re-deposited all my money in the bank, but forgot to put back my PaP DSR iron sights :'(

  16. as ambitious as that sounds, it's just so entirely unlikely. And this is really why I know that there are no undiscovered major easter eggs in zombies, because it benefits nobody for easter eggs to go undiscovered. If there was a major egg left to be discovered, there would be some kind of hint or reveal by Treyarch themselves. Yes they like to coyly toy that maybe there is more to find, but that's just to be cheeky. If there really was something major to be discovered, it would be revealed. I guarantee that
  17. Poor decision of the week: Go out on a Tuesday night with old high school friend. = Way too tired and hungover to be at work today :'(

  18. Still in disbelief @ that equalizer by Portugal........

    1. GRILL

      GRILL

      agreed. was unreal.

    2. DeathBringerZen

      DeathBringerZen

It was a stunner, but Portugal have a mountain to climb if they are to qualify. They need a 6 goal swing, and although not impossible, I reckon Ghana can and will take points from that final match.

    3. The Clay Bird

      The Clay Bird

Yeah, Ghana looked quite strong against Germany

  19. I do appreciate the responses guys @Slade & @Hells Warrrior Can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time, but I definitely appreciate all the work you guys (and all the staff) do to keep this place awesome
  20. Hmm, now that is a really intriguing idea. Now I don't know how a team game could be incorporated with this if it's unlimited (i guess you could technically have "teams" even though no team score is kept since it's infinite) but that is actually a kind of cool idea. Make there be a queue to enter the game, and when one person leaves the first person in the queue takes their place. This would accomplish a couple of things 1) always 6 on 6 or 8 on 8 or whatever. never have a crazy mismatch team numbers wise. 2) eliminate like you said the getting thrown into a game that is 72-16 and almost over. I really like this idea actually ! To the point of making all the TDM games longer, now that is something i'd be ok with! It was really mainly the annoyance with stonehaven and possibly a couple other maps that there just isnt any action on because of the nature of the map. I think its time to take this infinite deathmatch idea and run with it though! lol
  21. agree, but my goodness that is what became annoying about games on stonehaven. TDM games that ended 21-15. good grief, I understand the tacticality and strategy can be fun, but once people got their ghillie suits, it was ghillie suit, ghost, the deal that makes you invisible to thermal scopes, silencers, and then you have 10 minutes of nobody moving or shooting, Same on some other maps too just to a lesser extent. I get that the spawn in a box style gets a bit old, but its really only on the small maps like nuketown, the boat, etc. most are just fine like slums, turbine, etc. Id rather have too much action than not enough imo. lengthen the TDM games, and keep the large maps, and all of a sudden COD starts to look too much like Battlefield I think something like a modified blitz TDM could be fun. not 20 seconds, but like a 1-2 minute timer, and if you don't get a kill by that time, you have 15 seconds to abandon your immediate area of you get mortared or something. that way you could camp, and as long as you're shooting and killing you can stay, but if you stay for too long without a kill you have to relocate....
  22. Don't worry Lenne, our main point of concern is the heigth of the signatures. Since some are really, really huge and this can become frustrating when someone posts a single sentence and their signature is about three times as big as the total post area (heigth-wise). So we're still undecided on the best option there. But since you're KH signature is only exceeding the current width limit (which, like Hells said, will most likely be increased) I'm sure yours will be fine. Sorry for the inconvenience with your broken signature while we're still deciding on the final limits. who/how many people were actually complaining about this. really concern over taking 1-2 more clicks of the mouse wheel to get to the next post? yeah if someone had a obviously trolling signature that was only to annoy people that's one thing, but i never noticed anything about anyone's sig that was ever really an inconvenience. Just feel like this is forum management for the sake of forum management sorry for the double post, but i don't get to the boards as much as in the past and have to post while i can lol
  23. I know i'm late to this party, but I really feel like this change was unnecessary and micromanage-y. In forums, the signature is a place to express your personality in a fun way. same with the avatar. Only way I can support this change is if it is being done to reduce data usage and thus cost less to run the forum and decrease the necessity for donations. Otherwise it seems pointless. I know the decision is already made and its too late to discuss, but wanted to at least let my voice be heard on it.
