  1. Carry on then people, nothing to see here lol....just kidding. I always thought everybody knew about this though.
  2. **UPDATE** Playstation 3 version of Black Ops updated today. Version 1.11 now available. Check your trophy collection for the Shangri-La trophies. 2 more days!!!
  3. DLC's usually get released around 5am EST. 2am PST, and the rest of the world I don't know.
  4. It's Monday July 25 and still no update for Black Ops. Usually theres an update a week before the map packs come out with updates to the trophies and things. I wonder if it will be a last minute update or something. For First Strike I remember it being updated a while before it came out and for Escalation, Black Ops was updated a full week before release...but Escalation came out late so who knows.
  5. I once killed George by Staminup and the perk and WW disapeared. So I took the slide and it was in that body of water after the sickle. But this was the ONLY time I was able to find the perk and WW after it disapeared. I just think it's completely random.
  6. This is what i'm on about, I killed him with a LAW and it still happened? Ahh, I'm glad you posted this thread then. I had a theory that it was the Ray Gun that prevented you from getting perks off George. Well, I guess it's just a random thing that happens every now and again. But I'm still not sure about that. It could be a certain way that we kill him, or a certain place. Still not sure yet.
  7. LMAO not true AT ALL, you just need to be good at the game. The first 10 rounds are the hardest, after that you just run round the middle using the "rape-train" method. I've done round 68 on solo on FIVE. I agree, although I've only made it to round 37 solo...the hardest part of Five is gaining enough points to open all the doors and getting jugg. After that it's cake work, especially if you have good guns.
  8. Are you talking about when you kill George in Call of the Dead? Because if you are, I think Sam steals your perk if you use the Ray Gun when killing George. If thats what your talking about, then use different weapons instead of the Ray Gun.
  9. I dunno man...I used to hate Five, but it's now one of my favorite maps. Well, for solo and two player. I haven't played with more than 2 people on that map. I've played with 4 people but only to round 5 because they were randoms. But with 2 players if you stick together and your both good at dodging zombies you'll do good. My friend and me made it to round 26 on a 2 player game by running the circle in the computer room. It was fun as hell. This map is definetley one of the harder maps, but thats why they gave us the defcon option I think. The defcon switches really gives you a headstart on some level and if you've got good weapons your pretty much in good shape to make it to far rounds. I personally like Five now. But I used to hate it with a passion.
  10. I'm almost 100% sure that the elephant represts the jungle like atmosphere of the place your sending the crew. It has no significanct other than letting you know that the next map will be in the jungle. But if you find anything of interest post it.
  11. Woods was choke holding the guy with the grenade when it blew up. This means he was behind him and the guy was like a shield for the grenade. So it's very possible that Woods is still alive. He was actually my favorite character in the game besides Mason. Reznov was badass too...in W@W and BO.
  12. At round 10 Robert Englund alwaysn says "It's finally over" then round 11 begins lol...I don't think her quote means anything. If theres one think I know about zombie maps is that there is no way out. You play until you die...I do hope that one of the maps has a way out though. That would really be cool. Maybe if we get 100,000 points or something we can open a door that takes us out of the map.
  13. I've shot George with it unpacked as he ran, defeated, from the bottom of the stamin-up steps, all the way to where he goes away. I've also done the same thing with the raygun, and the scavenger. He still comes back :x Thanks for your reply. Well I guess thats that. I've followed George back and stabbed him with the sickle at least 100 times from jugg to the AK-74 spot and nothing happened either. I guess thats another notch off the list of possible things.
  14. Yea I had the same thoughts...it's like a pattern of sorts. Shi No Numa was the second to last zombie map on W@W and it was a jungle type setting. Shangri-La maybe the second to last zombie map for BO and it's a jungle type setting. It's a legitimite claim. So far there have been SEVERAL rumors lurking about dealing with map pack 4. Theres been 2 supposed leaks with photos. One map pack was supposably called Retaliation and the other map pack 4 that was "supposably" leaked was called Infected. Then theres the rumors that the next zombie map is Area 51, and rumours that it's on the moon, and YET ANOTHER one that it will be in Paris. All of these theories are legitimate claims though since theres clues leading to each one. Either way, who's to say that all these maps won't one day happen. But if I were to guess I'd say that if there is going to be another map pack for Black Ops, the zombie map will probably be something we didn't expect. Since thats been the pattern so far. But there are lots of clues leading to Paris and Area 51...not so much the moon, but there are a few clues.
  15. Anybody ever try shooting George with the V-R11 after you've defeated him and he's running away? I just defeated him in that little pool where jugg is and when he was running away I noticed he had that red mist around him...the red mist associated with the V-R11. I don't know if it means anything but I know the V-R11 affects George, so I was thinking maybe if we shoot him with the V-R11 either pap'd or unpap'd it would possibly do something after he's defeated and running away. I'm asking because I may try it, but if someone else already did it with no results then theres no reason for me to.
  16. Yea it's pretty fun. It's crawling it's way up into my top 3. And don't worry if you don't have the re-finished W@W maps for Black Ops, they'll be a DLC one day or Treyarch will just add them into their next CoD game. Theres no way they would pass up an opportunity to make a fast buck. It would take very little work for them and they would make a ton of money. So DO expect the W@W maps to be available for everyone...one of these days.
  17. It's crazy...I used to HATE this map with every fiber of my being. I'm an experienced zombie slayer and when Black Ops came out I pretty much stayed away from Five. Of course I played it several times before coming to the conclusion that I hated this map putting most of my time into Kino and Ascension (when the first map pack came out.) After giving it another chance I realized how greatly designed this map actually is. For instance, I just finished a game of it I hit the box and got the Winters Howl. I also had the Spectre. Round 6 comes around and the scientist comes out. As he's walking up the steps I start unloading upon his ass and got a bonfire sale. Bam!!! I've got exactly 1990 points. I break a window inside the defcon room and fix it real quick to get 2000 points. Now I've got 2 pack a punched guns at round 6. What other map can you do that on? NONE!!! I guess the reason I hated this map so much is because of it's narrow spaces. But after a while you sort of want that kind of environment. Playing Call of the Dead is just too easy...I guess thats why they added George. But zombie maps should be more narrow instead of open. Once you figure out how the zombies move and operate, gathering them up into a crowd becomes so easy. Narrow maps makes it more difficult to manouver and map Five is the perfect example of a narrow map. In closing, I'd just like to say that I think map Five is perfectly designed. It's got great weapons, cool enviroments, and decent characters. I suggest if you don't like this map then give it another go. You may be suprised at how much better you like it compared the other Black Ops maps.
  18. This is a very good question. With our heroes being from the 40's and Kino taking place in the 60's, I can only imagine that our heroes were looked upon by the scientists as the first to use the MDT. Kind of like the first people to walk on the moon are memorialized, our heroes have their portraits up because the scientists that were working on the MDT were possibly waiting for their arrival. I know it has something to do with the experiments, and our heroes are the first guinia pigs to test the perks, wonder weapons, and MDT. This is probably why, but I'm just guessing.
  19. I agree with "I Am Richtofen." I think the very best outcome would be if every console got the map packs at the same time. Even the poor old Wii. I just think the zombie killing community would be so much more interactive and creative. This is what I mean when I say it was a bad business decision to give one console out of four the map packs a month ahead. It's not about money, it's about the community. If we all got the map packs at the same time it would just be so much better...and I'm even talking about you Wii folks.
  20. DOA is ok. It's fun for when your online with randoms...thats for sure. But I personally think it's fun. Although, I've never seen anything past round 28. That shit is hard as hell.
  21. The way I handle the theif is claymores and bullets. I get my claymores before round 5-6 and lay out 2 of them on the first set of steps. Then when the next round comes, I lay out the other 2 on the upper steps. Then I hand at the top and when he cuts that corner from the teleporter up the steps he's getting hit with claymores and my bullets. Then if he makes it up to me I switch my gun to a wall gun (so I can buy it back if I lose it) then I just chase him through the bottom part until I kill him. But in all honesty, it depends on what guns you have. I've taken him out with the ak-74 before but I can kill him on his way up the stairs if I have the winters howl or the ray gun. He ain't shit.
  22. I bring vodka to the occasion. Congrats on the site. Is my favorite site to visit now. HANDS OFF MY VODKA!!! What? Is a classic. Don't know why I felt the need to talk like Nikolai, guess I just had to. Congrats on the site. I hope for MANY MANY more years of success and awesome communty peoples...I've been spreading the word and already got two people on here who play zombies. KEEP UP THE INCREDIBLE WORK!!! Much respect, ZombiCidaL
  23. haha I know what you mean. Its almost impossible to avoid information about the easter eggs. On here and on youtube. The only way to totally avoid it is to go a whole month without hanging out with friends and going online. We all know that ain't happening. Anyway, if all goes well map pack 4 will be the last time we have to deal with a month long divide between consoles with zombie maps.
  24. I don't think Area 51 would be the granddaddy of all zombie maps. I think the moon would be the granddaddy. In the BO terminal it gives a list of places where element 115 landed and is located. There was Der Riese, Tunguska, Area 51, and the moon. And there were other places in Japan and others, but I still think we'll be seeing a moon map one of these days...maybe not soon, but perhaps in 2012 for Treyarchs next CoD game.
