  1. Nuff said.
  2. I can picture it now; the PaP'd version being called "The Fist of Stalin" :D
  3. I've always had a more creative side to me than technical, and most parents or non-gamers immediately assume that they are good for nothing brain-fryers. Which, of course there is a fine line to "addiction" or too much video games, and just having fun and exploring interests. I've been focused on the path as an Animator for a career since early on in high school, and currently loving the college courses I am taking to get there now. I feel as though playing certain games I love just broadens my variety in creativity, and just motivates new ideas and ways of thinking in that field. ;)
  4. To comment on the whole PS3 vs. 360 bits, there's no way around that because Microsoft/Activision have the initial rights to the CoD series, therefore they have it first. Just like how the 360 AND PS3 have their own exclusive games that aren't available for the other console. Yes it sucks, that's always be a frustration. However the biggest thing I cannot stress is that with Elite, you get the maps fairly quickly, and that completely ruins the anticipated hype. Because instead of knowing about a map pack that is about to be released, seeing the epic trailer for the next zombies map, everyone getting all excited and posting their thories and findings all at the same time; we're now going to have half the community going "Saw that. Seen it. Nothing new. Old..." etc. Because they have had it for an even extra month earlier than everyone else.
  5. You're spot on with the amount of traps available. I'd imagine them all being available after a certain amount of time as well. Once you've gathered and used the parts for one trap, then approximately 5 rounds later, new parts will randomly spawn scattered around the map, and you can gather and collect a total of 5 possible traps that you can then, go to the workstation, purchase the parts for a trap and off you go. Now, I was also just thinking this could work in one of two ways: 1. Similar to the care package crates in MW3's "Survival" mode, the workstation will come up with a list of the traps available, and depending on how useful or strong they are, will depend on the price. (Roughly 600 - 1500 points) 2. The workstation will work just like the mystery box, and the trap received will be completely random, and the cost will be 1000 points each purchase.
  6. I may just get it for Blops 2 alone, but I can assure you I won't like to. I still think it's completely unfair regardless.
  7. Did you even READ half the comments? What makes Elite unfair to begin with IS because Elite Subscribers will more than likely get the maps (zombies maps included) a lot earlier that non-subscribers. Why? Because zombies is more than just some map, each one is essential to discovering more about the storyline and all that, so if people are posting all the latest theories and EE's left and right, it makes unfair for those who don't wanna pay and extra 50 bucks for one game. ONE game, where as that same amount will pay for an entire year of XBL to play anything with ALL its content avialable to EVERYONE. And that's besides the point, Treyarch has always been super confidential with the zombies content, if they are released just like the multiplayer maps with Elite, it would completely ruin the anticipated hype and excitement prior to each map release for the zombies community. Also, Elite is a Subscription, and what do you have to do with any subscription to keep your deal? Renew it once it expires. Therefore, unless you ONLY plan to play the next game for a year, you'll have to turn around and dump another 50 bucks into Elite. I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather pay for something once, and have it be official, that basically be making payments to slay zombies well after the next season... because I for one, don't think I'll ever waste that kind of money on IW installments anyways, I loved Treyarch's installments more well before I even knew about zombies.
  8. Thanks, I appreciate the feedback and complements. However, just on the workshop bit there, the workshop would merely be a place to go and purchase the parts for a trap that you've have already previously gathered the supplies for. So it would basically, but a storage for parts gathered and used for said traps. Once you actually gather the parts needed, it would automatically become a displayable trap, going to the workstation would be too much work, and/or too risky IMO. But never the less, good thinking.
  9. I once carried an entire lobby though the later 40's in Der Riese after they all 3 died early on in the round just by looping and being a ninja. TWICE. 8-)
  10. So as I commented in a different thread, I think the idea of collecting a series of items spread around the map used to build and create different traps would be a really cool option in future maps. I thought a little about this before and since Ascension, traps have kinda felt a bit useless. Either that, or some maps don't even have actual traps! I never spent much money on traps personally, always found them to be either too expensive or just a waste of points. I'd mess around when I basically was at a high enough round, I had more points than I knew what to do with anyways and would blow them on traps. And even still then, some of the traps have kinda started repeating too much or just got redundant. So, I propose this exact idea: - Create a zombies map that has certain items or tools that would be essential to creating a trap. Each new game, those pieces and items would rotate, and randomize in location. (Similar to the COTD EE.) Also, the type of trap it would be, would randomize after each game or time you used the trap. These traps would be effective for two rounds, then they would "break", and you would have to either find parts for a new type of random trap, OR have a location or "workstation" or another box that you could also then, purchase the trap you want again. - These traps would also essentially be able to be placed anywhere. Once you have all the parts needed to build a trap, the trap would then appear in your selection menu (much like killstreaks or the hacker) And then, as though you were setting up a sentry, you could place or build the trap in that area that the trap will fit. Whadda think, CoDz?
  11. I was actually thinking it would be pretty cool if there was a way to actually BUILD traps by collecting parts in future maps. And being able to place them essentially where ever you want, and they would last for a couple rounds before they would "break" and you'd have to purchase/find the parts again to do it again.
  12. I personally think Verruckt could have been twice as scary just by adding in zombies with straight jackets on in the mix of Nazi Zombies and Insane Zombies, as well as some casual zombies spawning here and there.
  13. Aye, however you actually want to be able to even stand a chance as well. These perks zombies would have to be spread out to only spawn several rounds in between, at least.
  14. One of the main projects going on right now I only wish I could be more involved in at the moment is help with implementing the medals system. The other forums I mentioned also recently added a medals system, and got to help create a handful of them for several forums. Ideas are always useful, yes, but the actual designing and implementing part sounds even better, haha. :)
  15. And you have officially given me Brain 666.
  16. Doesn't surprise me. And to be honest, I don't know why so many people start to look up new zombies info so early, nothing is officially confined until at LEAST several months prior to its release. They are way confidential about zombies.
  17. Not to sound pushy, but about how long do you suppose the new theme and medals will be introduced, give or take?
  18. Aye, but if enough people are unhappy about it and they are losing money, then they also won't hesitate to fix the problem. If the Elite subscription tampers with zombies or basically ruins it for non-subscribers, and enough people complain, they WILL fix it. Plus, I'd imagine Treyarch would see to having things been more "fair" with the zombies portion anyways.
  19. Much appreciated, sir! Glad to hear that, especially from a dweller. ;)
  20. It was merely the idea for the suggestion. Realistically, depending on the scenario, you wouldn't just have one type of zombie, I feel some maps slack some mix of casual zombies as well as soldier zombies.
  21. I never really thought highly of others who throw themselves out there, desperate to become apart of the staff necessarily but, given I formally moderated several forums at a different website, I feel as though I could jump in and properly contribute to CoDz as a member of the staff here.
  22. I think that would be a bit overkill once you start approaching the higher rounds. Even normal zombies are a pain to kill with just about anything after the 30's.
  23. While I appreciate the idea of the them doing that, it certainly is too much for the iOS to handle. There's A LOT of stuff in zombies, and my iPod could barely handle the WaW installment, I can't honestly imagine how they will try to fit every little thing into the Blops installments.
  24. As far as earning perks with in-game challenges, that kinda goes along with the whole ranking system idea a few of us have been throwing around constantly. As far as zombies stands, right now, the way everything is and the way we know and love it is great. So, I understand how those who are against it, would normally be concerned, but ultimately zombies is about overdue of a REAL change of pace. Since day one, the good 'ol NDU days, zombies had continually just basically added more and more elements and items to each and every map that is available today. Which, granted, does keep things somewhat fresh and new, but when you back it up to the core foundation of zombies gameplay, it's the exact same routine. And since the Blops maps, really the ONLY thing that's an option to change it up somewhat, is buy expending most of your energy going for the EE reward in each map. Which again, same routine, different round. So, I think of Treyarch implemented a ranking system purely for zombies in the next installment, the zombies franchise would be jump up in, well, awesomeness ten fold. And here's why exactly: 1. People generally play for keeps. People don't really think about it much, but a big part of why so many people are addicted to the multiplayer field of CoD is because they are continually gaining something. New weapons, XP, gear, etc. I know for a fact that I'd actually probably get fairly bored pretty quick with multiplayer, if I didn't have the satisfaction of always ranking up, always reaching a new level, accomplishing something more for myself and my profile, rather than just killing off other players all day, I'd probably stop playing much after the first couple months. 2. New ways to approach the field of zombies. Zombie fanatics such as ourselves, are constantly making goals and setting expectations, or handicapping ourselves to certain perks or weapons to mix things up a bit, challenge ourselves now and then rather than just following the same old routine we know will get us to that really high round. Well, what if you were also rewarded for said challenges? What if you unlocked something, earned a challenge worth 10k XP because you got to round 50 or 100? Or, unlocked attachments for a weapon you used for so many rounds or got so many kills for? The possibilities are endless. There are LOADS of challenges in multiplayer, I know for a fact I'd try all sorts of challenges more willingly if they meant something more than just for "shits and giggles". And, here's the kicker folks, all this wouldn't tamper with zombies one bit. It would be still be the same old zombies, same old stuff, just with challenges and XP/Ranking system added. I've been so hyped up about this, I'm sure a lot of you have seen the ideal prestige badges I made up just for zombies that, as we speak, are working on implementing her into the medals system just for fun! If you haven't already, I'd recommend watching some videos on "WaW Realism Mods", they are the closest thing to everything I have mentioned, and I think it would be great to have. And, of course, still have the option for the plain jane zombies we know and love. Whew... wow. that exploded into a lot more than what originally came to mind XD
