  1. It appears that there may be, here's a video about it. Not sure how I feel about it, or what role I think it will play, but it does seem to be a thing.
  2. Granted the castle likely isn't made of iron, so there's that, but something I could see happening. But, like you said in OP, likely a mechanization of some sort.
  3. I personally don't see it being an actual dragon, but either some sort of mechanization or the name of the castle itself.
  4. Agree completely. Very few of us left who are actually talking about it. It sucks. I personally have doubts about a Moon remake, but I suppose that's for another thread. I too am curious about the Rift Stone and what will happen to it, but I suspect it will be used to merge all the realities or something like that.
  5. To me, and some others, the quotes signify that for some reason, their memories are becoming clouded and personalities of the "old" characters are seeping into this timeline. The personalities are bleeding from one to the other. Why is the case? Perhaps the dimensional convergence brought about by the Shadow Man in Shadows of Evil includes the original and Giant timelines (or perhaps all of them), and they are going to all bleed together. That's my personal theory, at least.
  6. Right! Okay, now I'm back on track. There are a few theories regarding who is speaking in the quote and who it's directed towards. Remember that I said I'm still figuring it all out for myself, but right now I am confident that the Dempsey in the radio is Origins Dempsey, attempting to speak to the original Dempsey. More work will have to be done to hone in on this, but that's where I currently stand.
  7. What do you mean? I don't know if it was intentional, but your post made it sound as though you're saying there's two radio messages, when there's only one.
  8. We are unsure. Unlikely. I'm still torn on this part of the story, so bear that in mind, but my current guess is that the test subjects don't have any idea that the Origins crew exist. They're called "test subjects" because that's what they were to Dr. Richtofen. Until they travel to Shi No Numa, they're simply Dr. Richtofen's subjects. Unsure. We honestly don't know much about what will come of them, but we know that Tank, Takeo, and Nikolai want them, so I assume they won't be killed (unless Richtofen randomly does so). We can't, unfortunately. That would be sweet though!
  9. I second all nominations for @83457 and @Ragdo11706.
  10. The sound of a girl laughing will play anytime a Monkey Bomb is thrown outside of the playable area, I believe. Hopes this clears some stuff up :)
  11. That's a very good question. My instinct right now is that the individual is no more important than an H. Porter, but it would be very cool if it turned into something.
  12. Give me a Peter, Harvey, Cornelius trio and I may just cry of happiness. That would be incredible. Most of all though is that I expect Group 601's triumphant return.
  13. Just as a smal correction, he mentions Brazil, not Peru, and it's not related to Shangri-La.
  14. My assumption had been that the crew released the beacon for Maxis to come, and that's how they got out.
  15. I'm not debating whether we'll get a remake; I'm debating whether it'll be in the same timeline as The Giant. But, only time will tell.
  16. That may have been the theory in its primacy, but it was changed to a more sensible one. And something worth pointing out is that the Loading Screen is not the same time as the map, so most of the reasons you give for Shangri-La not being on Mars are besides the point. I argue that at the time of the loading screen, it's on Mars, not that it's there when we play there. However, that's what most people assume. And it very well may deal with that timeline, but we don't know. There's little true evidence to suggest it belongs to that one over any other.
  17. Regarding the Mars topic, you're putting words in my mouth. I haven't suggested that the map is on Mars, and I agree with all the things you said above. I only meant that in there was a connection of some sort, which you seem to agree with. As for the rest of that, it's certainly possible. I've personally believed the new Moon loading screen was intended in a way that didn't make it canon. I'm not convinced yet that it's important. If he did get teleported to the Moon and is the controller for that reality, I don't see the relevance of it. We likely won't have anything to do with that reality.
  18. Whats? I'm confused with what you're saying. The section of the new Moon loading screen that has Samantha in what appears to be an orange cave is not Buried. The orange wall of rock lines up perfectly with the Shangri-La loading screen, and I've presented what I believe to be a strong Shangei-La and Mars connection. Therefore, I believe that that section of loading screen is her dominion on Mars. Even if not true, that's irrelevant to our current conversation I suppose, as we were talking about just the loading screens themselves. That's very interesting, I'll have to think that over. Thanks for the information.
  19. Seems to bolster the idea that the castle itself is the Iron Dragon, in my eyes.
  20. That orange cave is the Shangri-La loading screen, and I believe it signifies Mars instead of the Moon.
  21. I personally don't think this is how it went down, really. They didn't mean for us to upgrade it in the last month (but if we did on accident, great), and now they're paving the way. I don't see this as something they're doing just to help us out because we can't solve it but should be able to. I think this was the plan the entire time.
  22. I was wondering that as well, and I suppose one could easily say that they weren't aware of who the man really was, so they called him that. Doesn't make either theory any more plausible as another since it applies to both, but meh. Why do you suggest Samantha was in the Buried cave?
  23. I would like to make it known that in the map decription released by Treyarch today, they spelled Nikolai's name wrong (this time Nicolai) yet again. Odd.
