  1. Listen guys, let's not have yet another thread go off-topic over an argument we resolved a few weeks back. The title of the thread is pretty suggestive to the fact that there would be spoilers within, especially as it was hinting at more after the main EE was completed, so there would have almost definitely been some kind of possible steps or spoilers included within. Courtesy is one thing, but also show courtesy to the poster and read the title of the thread and what the thread may contain before coming into it. Let's not carry this on over multiple threads again please. If you don't want EE spoilers, don't open any EE related threads.
  2. Love it! The mechanics are very reminiscent of MotD and the theme set around the cthulhu style monster is awesome. Still not explored the whole map but from what I have played I am very impressed. Nice atmosphere, great ambience and stunning visuals.
  3. I know this is not on-topic but can we just drop this petty name calling please? You may not like the map but many of us did and I think it is extremely disrespectful to carry this vile name going on 3 years now. We are better than this here on CoDZ.
  4. I have never believed Shi No Numa came before Der Riese and I never will. I can see why some think it might but it doesn't tie in to the storyline I have going in my head so I chose to dismiss the idea completely. The unique thing about zombies is that we can all determain the storyline from start to present and each idividual comes to a unique conclusion. That is the magic of this precious and wonderful storyline... it is far to vague to be conclusive so we all have our own interpretation. Unfortunately some sides of the community like BennDown try to force their own version on others as factual and refuse to take on other perspectives, instead claiming all other perceptions as false and deluded. This is why people should not follow these channels and should form their own opinions on the whole concept. Treyarch never meant for the story to be that of one man... it was for us all to make our own storyline to fit our own desires. Never take the opinion of others as fact, only as a way to re-mold our own story. There is not one idividual who has the correct version of events. We all make it up as we go along... ALL of us.
  5. It is very unlikely to be the end of the zombies storyline but with the addition of maps like SoE, it seems they are definitely intent on spreading it out and having these spin off storyline maps added to help add longevity to the current storyline.
  6. Holy shit! Some of those times are insane! I can see now why people would want bragging rights on their accomplishments. Yeah... that's actually quite impressive now I have properly looked at some times.
  7. Irregardless off new technology to work on, personally I find the idea of remaking old MP maps again to be extremely lazy and insulting to the customer. Are they seriously lacking is innovation that they cannot just make brand new maps? Is this the new trend with Call of Duty? To just keep bring back old maps and have the customer pay for them over, and over, and over... How long before we start seeing remakes being remade? Oh wait... that's Nuketown. It shows a complete lack of imagination to just regurgitate the same maps time and time again. They also know how to completely butcher the term "fan favourite". Maybe I am jumping the gun a tad though and it might not necessarily be remakes or reimaginings but new takes on older areas or even zombie maps becoming MP maps but with the choice of wording they used and the track record of having at least 1 remake per DLC in the last 3 CoD titles I expect the same to happen with BO3. Hopefully not though but there has to be a line drawn somewhere. 3 years they have had to make this CoD, just as Sledgehammer had with AW. Surely that is ample time to be creative enough to produce original content.
  8. I don't really understand why there would even be a section for EE speedruns considering that most if not all EE's require the box, thus making them luck based. Some people can get what they need from the box quicker than others. I suppose the same can be said for high round runs that rely on wonder weapons, but I also don't really understand the whole speed run thing for that either. Still impressive nonetheless but the only thing that I take as a "world record" is high rounds and NML. All else is just irrelevant for the most part.
  9. ::Spoiler Alert:: You and your minions are going down ...
  10. I doubted it too, but that does not explain why there is a SoE character in the main menu for zombies when they should be a map specific character surely? I mean, on the image leaked (that we have previously shown and discussed) we see the SoE character and then the SoE map in the map selection, so what if we chose a different map or even further down the line a DLC map. Does the character(s) change based on the map selected? Will it always be a SoE character on that screen regardless? It all seems fishy to me. There has to be more to this surely.
  11. At least we now have a confirmation that the zombie menu screen in question is linked to SoE. Seems very strange to have the SoE crew in a main menu though as it seems to suggest they may play a bigger role in BO3 more than just one map. Would be illogical to have them in a main menu if only for one map, and what is with the forrest if they are supposed to be in a city? Has to be more to this... a LOT more.
  12. Someone posted some gameplay up on Facebook and it automatically played as I was scrolling past it. Thankfully it was shot using a potato from around 40 feet away from their TV and was pretty much just a collection of blurry colours. Didn't spoil much.
  13. Very impressive work uncovering this. Seems to be very relevant also. I would definitely guess it relates to zombies.
  14. Yep, just watched the video there and it is indeed Takeo being sick in the first one too. Maybe he was not available on that occasion either. He is not heard at all in the recording other than a barfing noise, only referred to. Also possible though that it is intentional. I know voice actors are always very busy but it does have me intrigued now. lol
  15. It may not be overly relevant to the storyline, but the reason Takeo's character was being sick in CotD was apparently because voice actor Tom Kane was not available at the time to do some recordings. I am assuming they had Nikolai be sick in the previous radio message because of his addiction to alcohol though and just did the same with Takeo's character in CotD to make it seem like both characters were sick due to the teleporting. Travel sickness but on a different scale.
  16. Milo confirmed it during his reddit Q&A and it was also confirmed in an extract interview on CharlieINTEL. Disappointed to be honest but expected considering it is a bonus map. On-topic, I would be very surprised if it was not the Wunderwaffe. I am sure though that there will be enough new features and decent PaP variations to try out that will keep us entertained. I am not the biggest Waffe fan but I am sure the map will be good regardless or what the WW is.
  17. With the recent departure of @way2g00d as a moderator, we have decided to bring another moderator into the group and with that, let me introduce our newest Green team member... @Lenne Lenne has been a part of the CoDZ community since Feb 2012, has amassed over 3,600 posts and is always friendly and welcoming which is what made him the ideal candidate to become one of the sites Moderators. Congratulations @Lenne :)
  18. First energy drinks, now burgers!?! Maybe Activision are being recruited by the government to secretly help lower the worlds population by killing them off through heart disease. Better than obvious genocide and less harmful than a nuclear fallout. Clever bastards!
  19. I get everything you say. I think this is a bit drastic though. It's just a figure of speech, but it's not far off. The issue this site has now that it didn't have so much during the BO2 on-season is the rise of Reddit. There is at least 3 main Call of Duty Zombie sub reddits now that see more activity per day than this site does. This may be down to them allowing anything and everything but it has seen developers using that platform over ours to talk to the community and even saw long-term member Milo using it over our site for his BO3 AMA session. Not sure if that was a personal choice or not but it was a bit of a shame to see. We need to move the site so it adapts to the communities demands. It is no longer a viable option to block out what we once did so we just have to accept it is the way the community is now. Also, no one hates you. I actually admire your dedication to not wanting spoilers. Sadly, the gaming industry does not agree with our opinions on the matter.
  20. I got my copy of BO2 (Hardened Edition) 7 days before the official release (it was a Tuesday) and I could not download Nuketown until the Saturday. I think it is only accessible once they turn on the servers so you would have got it on the Sunday or Monday and the servers were live by then. If I can get the Giant to download earlier I will be all over it for sure though. lol
  21. Out of courtesy maybe, yes, but the issue with that particular achievement and what it was related to is widely spread news now and as such even if we did ask it to be added to a spoiler tab we cannot curb any discussions about it outside of that particular thread or tab because it is now considered news that Activision have not attempted to silence and affiliates are openly discussing it. I am not a big fan of spoilers either and would prefer not to hear about these things but you are going to have to just face the facts that there is going to be very little in terms of secrets within BO3 that are actually going to remain a secret until you unlock or find it yourself. It sucks but it is what it is and we are now allowing discussions on these things if others associates are too. I'm sorry... I don't want to undermine you or tell you that I don't care about your opinion. It's just the way the community is now and we need to evolve or die.
  22. Sad to hear you have decided to retire from staff duties Way. You were a great guy to chat with during the BO2 season and you were always very friendly and helpful. Hopefully we can still get a few games in when BO3 arrives. Not seen you on Destiny often these days but that game will be going on the back burner in 3 weeks time. A little sooner for me maybe. Anyway, good luck with everything bud. I hope to still see you around these parts during on-season (and beyond). :)
  23. Most likely I will be playing SoE first. Expecting to get the game around 5 days before official release so doubt I will be able to download The Giant anytime before release day as it's technically a DLC and probably won't be available until the Friday. The campaign mode also plays out differently this time around with all missions unlocked from the start so not sure how it determines what "completed" is but I will try and have it done and dusted before the Friday as well.
  24. This is the second thread now that has gone off-topic in relation to what certain members find OK and not OK to discuss without giving away spoilers and it will definitely be the last. It is simple. If you don't want spoilers then don't click on the threads. I don't want to hear any excuses anymore because if you choose to read an achievement or cutscene thread then you are going to get spoilers and any complaints regarding such are quite simply childish and petty. You people are sitting on a zombies forum. Even if you choose not read the threads in question or any that can pertain to have spoilers within, you are still almost definitely going to hear about the spoilers in other threads, chat or outside of the forum so this is where we draw a line under this topic once and for all. If you have any concerns regarding what is a spoiler and what is not then either voice it in the link below or report it. Do NOT discuss it in length in these threads anymore. Thanks.
  25. Times have changed and so have we! How times have changed. A once strict policy that was respected by many on CoDZ has been adapted. The well known 'No Leaks' rule that was the epitome of this great forum is now no longer the condition it once was. This is not because we do not care... it's because we do care. We care enough about this forum not to lock it away from the outside world any longer. So what does this mean exactly? It means that people who are affiliated with Activision are now being used as marketing tools. Yep, these channels or individuals are now being taken in by Activision, Treyarch and other studios with the purpose of giving them exclusive intel that they can then reveal to the world without reprimand. Even long-term members of this community like Liam and Milo have became faces for PR campaigns or at the very least are given exclusive content that they are able to discuss or show ia their own platforms. When it gets to the point where these well known affiliates are openly discussing intel with the general public then we are too. If some of this content is considered spoilers then we would prefer that the poster has the courtesy to use the spoiler tab function but we will not force them to do so if the content is already widely known outside of this community. So what is considered OK and not OK? This one should be a relatively straight forward point but there is a few examples like 'The Giant' intro leak that does creep over the line into sensitive information and we feel it is best to give examples of what we are OK with and what is not allowed. This is OK! Well known Youtuber and affiliate of Activision, Syndicate exclusively discussing and revealing the trailer for Shadows of Evil (after presenting the Comic-Con event). The trailer obviously is laden in spoilers for the map that would ruin the many surprises that are on offer but it's a trailer, it's official and you have the choice not to click on it. TmarTN’s video above leaked details about the hidden game-mode Extinction in Call of Duty: Ghosts before any official announcement was made which was later picked up and covered by CharlieINTEL and Co. This was obviously very sensitive information but wait... this is TmarTN!? This guy literally is on the Activision payroll and after 2 years this video is still up? I think we can agree this video is a marketing push to hype the mode so this is considered OK! http://charlieintel.com/2013/10/05/ghosts-extinction-mode-is-a-round-based-alien-horde-mode-like-zombies-with-4-players/ This is not OK! The above images are examples of things we will not allow, for 2 reasons. The first being that images like this can be considered sensitive information if real and would not be something we would allow to be posted or discussed unless they have already been done so by an affilate or officially elsewhere. The second reason is due to the fact that the 3 image I chose all happened to be fake images which is why it is not even worth entertaining these kind of things unless we have confirmation as all we would be doing is encouraging the 'trolls' who make this kind of garbage to use our platform to feed their appetite. Too sensitive? Holy sh... is that the zombie loading screen!?! Surely this is sensitive information and should not be shown to the general public? I mean... spoiler much? Yes, I suppose it is but if this information can be shown and discussed by an affiliate then it's allowed. This is the type of post we would appreciate people being considerate enough to use the spoiler tab feature with. http://charlieintel.com/2015/09/05/black-ops-3-zombies-menu-leaks-from-gamestop-managers-conference/ In Conclusion Times have changed. Activision and Treyarch no longer want to keep all their cards close to their chest anymore and are willing to show their hand if it means they win. They learned how much hype a little PR can bring and with that leaks became marketing. The game-mode is no longer a secret you unlocked after completing a campaign... it's an institute that is keeping a tired franchise afloat and with that comes a major wave of "leaks" and "spoilers" that are getting fed to the community by the people who make it. The 'no leaks' policy that has long been a hallmark of CoDZ is gone. We will still respect the developers and publishers and act accordingly when we feel someone is discussing or showing something they would prefer people not see or know but if it is something that people who are tethered to Activision are openly discussing then so are we. This is just the way things are now and although this may not be a popular decision with some, it is a decision that has been made nonetheless and we hope you can all embrace and accept it.
