Shapeshifter Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 So, I was just minding my own business, lurking Jimmy's Twitter, when I noticed THIS... From what I can gather, it's a gentleman named Toby, asking Jimmy which zombies entities would win in a fight. Then Toby asks if a Hellhound could best a SPACE Monkey (referring to Ascension) and Jimmy replies: "Ascension Monkey, or Shangri-La?" Hm... guess that means they're BOTH Space Monkeys. Thoughts? **EDIT** There's more to this.
Shooter Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 This caught my eye as well yesterday. The Shangri La mountains discussion also reappeared on his twitter account a few days ago after someone brought the subject back up. We know the monkies fly off into space after stealing your power up on Shangri La, so maybe that is the "space" he's referring to. He could also be trying to say that the two different monkies are one and the same, but I don't know what significance it holds.

MysteryMachineX Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 It's a classification thing. They're obviously quite different from each other, but they apparently share the same title of "Space Monkey". That's interesting. That implies similar origins.
Tankeo Dempsaki Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I made a post a long time ago about thinking that the Shang monkeys are the descendants of the Ascension monkeys, in which a pointless argument ensued where people thought Apes had tails. I might be able to dig it up, if anyone's interested.

MysteryMachineX Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I don't consider that a best theory. They are two completely different species of monkey. They aren't related, at least by heredity. The space monkey thing just says their origin as zombies may be link. Whatever happened to them might have been similar.
Kill_All_Monkeys Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Well, monkeys do arrive in Ascension via crashing landers, and there is a broken down lander in Shangri-La. The possibility of them being related isn't too far outside the realm of possibility.
MysteryMachineX Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 It's as far outside the realm of possibility as them being descended from gorillas. The processes could be similar, but not the genetics.
Shapeshifter Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 S7_ipo-fKb8 Here's another thing that just recently re-popped up in my head; the monkey rocket. If a monkey manages to get away with a power-up, it flies off, presumably into space. Neat.
MixMasterNut Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I wrote a theory thread many many months ago about the Shangri-la monkeys using space elevators to shoot into space. link here: http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=69&p=169851#p169851 My theory seems more relevant now, than ever. - Mix

I wonder why people didn't seem interested? :o
MixMasterNut Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I feel like a lot of my best research and discoveries are over looked and discarded. Hence why I don't post as much as I used to. - Mix
MysteryMachineX Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 MixMasterNut, a lot of the stuff you post is good, but that particular thread... was mostly nothing but images and videos. I can't say for most people, but for me I simply don't use my time by watching several videos from various sources that go wayyyy off-topic from anything Zombies related. What I like in a thread is for it to be both summarized and extrapolated. That way I can see what it is about and then look further in if I feel it credible. If I watched every youtube video they people post on here... well I'd have wasted a lot of time, especially since many theories I think delve too deep (not this one though).

I kinda have to agree, although you DID get the idea and concept of it out there before I did. Excellent job, Mix.
Tankeo Dempsaki Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 I honestly had no idea what was going on in that thread.
Shapeshifter Posted September 23, 2012 Author Posted September 23, 2012 I honestly had no idea what was going on in that thread. Yeah, it was just a bunch of jumbled pictures, but it DID bring out the main idea.
MixMasterNut Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 There were videos too. Did you watch those? If you didn't watch the segment from the Moon Rising vid, then you likely missed the point of the theory. Would you prefer walls of text?
Administrators Tac Posted November 17, 2012 Administrators Posted November 17, 2012 Ascension monkeys come from space, therefore they are Space Monkeys. Shangri-La is literally in space, therefore they are Space Monkeys. (refer to link in my signature about Shangri-La)

(refer to link in my signature about Shangri-La) Shangri-La has only been confirmed to have been on Mars and to have been translocated. That whole space stuff is your own theory.
