  1. Hello AetherialVocies. I am currently wondering what did you do to get UoTM. Thank you and Namaste.

      The actual process is voting.

But what I did that got me nominated was just being around here and consistently posting good content. I personally post a good amount of theories and work at keeping them up-to-date.

Every month a new voting will start and members will be able to vote for someone they think has been awesome that month. And this time that's AetherialVoices. Take a look at his theories and posts and you'll understand.

  2. DDoS... such a pain. Here's to hoping it's fixed before Tuesday!

I don't get why these people do this. They must have really boring lives.

  3. After hours upon hours, I have finished going through the audio files from W@W to DLC3 of BO3. It was long, but the knowledge I have gained about the story was well worth the effort!

  4. Spending hours upon hours combing through audio file quotes to prove/disprove a theory... Woe is Aetherial...

Welcome to the ranks of the theorists buddy. I once went through every quote, from every World at War and Black Ops 1 to try and find evidence for my theory on Samantha's mother. I ended up finding just one.

  5. I was wondering if my Aetherial Multiverse Theory was good enough to be moved to Asylum. If not, that's fine.

done! And of course it qualifies. Great work!

  6. Just updated my Aetherial Multiverse Theory to be up-to-date. Check it out!

  7. I knew it would be hard to find a group for BO2 EEs. I didn't know it would be THIS hard.

I would be all over that if my 360 was still operational. Come backwards compatibility!

Im sorry mate, I don't have a mic. Otherwise, I would like it to do them with you

It is nearly impossible, my friend. I, however, have two friends who do...and if you are on Xbox, the marathon is ours to run. HMU

  8. New Monty wisp found! Transcript in my post in GK.

  9. I love where they are going with the story. The mythology and explanations for things are on point. It is becoming clear how they will wrap things up. I LOVE IT!!!

  10. Good point. One explanation for this which I find quite likely is that the Vril-ya created the MPD to turn the Apothicon army against itself. Although the Vril-ya could very well have evil intentions, we know for a fact that the Apothicons do. According to the respective influences behind each of the two, the Vril-ya would most likely be native to Agartha, whereas the Apothicons would be native to the fourth dimension or Aether. Based off of this, although the Vril-ya created the MPD, it could be possible for it to be flawed and susceptible to Apothicon influence. As for your hopes to never see the Apothicons again, I do not share your thoughts on that matter. I at first thought they were cheesy, but in an attempt to better understand them I decided to start reading Lovecraft's works. It was one of the best decisions of my life. The theme is (in my opinion) very fitting with the style of zombies, and if they were going to introduce more mythological concepts regardless, I am glad that they chose influence from the Cthulu Mythos. It is quite agitating that in SoE (very much like ZnS with Unit 731) you have to do a good amount of research to truly appreciate the atmosphere, but with how much I love reading the influences behind the story, it doesn't affect me much. @NaBrZHunter, if you haven't read any Lovecraft yet, I would HIGHLY recommend first reading The Call of Cthulu first, then reading Nyarlathotep (although this one can be a bit hard to understand on the first read). Yes, yes indeed. However, the Nazis took Vril and the concept of a Hollow Earth VERY seriously, so it is not much of a stretch for them to (in the Zombies story) have gotten this trait from researching this "perfect race" of the Vril-ya. As for the conflict, the Vril-ya built the MPD, but they are not native to the Aether. Richtofen got the voices not from being inside the machine and connected to the Aether, but from touching the machine itself. This could solve this conflict in my thought process. Valid point, but at what point was Maxis limited to the Griffin Station computer network? He communicates the exact same way throughout BO2. He could very well be somewhere else, and just be limited to communication through technology. Thank you! And I appreciate your disputing my points, because it ends with thinking things through and better understanding the topic at hand.
  11. I am going to say this first. This is a theory... actually, at this point I'm reluctant to even call it a theory at this point. It has very little evidence to back it up, however, from what I have seen, virtually no evidence to disprove it. So, at the moment, I am just going to call this "speculation". This is based off of one of my theories/hopes for what happens in DLC 3 & 4, and will most likely be either proved or disproved in those maps. First, my over-generalized summary of eye colors and what they signify. Yellow: Apothicon control or influence Blue: Vril-ya control or influence Red: Ancient Evil control or influence Orange: Unknown/Maxis Green: Turned Zombie (quite possibly just for gameplay) Now to elaborate on the more outrageous implications of this over-generalization. Yellow: This would imply that Samantha was influenced by Apothicon forces. That is the MOST controversial claim in this. However, although there is no solid evidence for this, Sam did go from crying and being a normal girl to laughing maniacally and being demonic and sadistic VERY quickly. Just something to consider along with the timeline implications of certain maps possibly happening before Samantha taking control. Blue: Richtofen... Remember those voices in his head? The voices he suddenly had the second he touched an ancient vril machine? Just food for thought. Also, the abundance of blue-eyed zombies in the crazy place and the "crusader" zombies with the Keeper symbol on their robes. Red: Seen throughout MotD and now Gorod Krovi (very peculiar). In MotD there is clearly some entity controlling what is happening. I absolutely do NOT believe that this entity is Brutus. Why would Brutus talk about how he was trapped there "just like you" if he was in control? He would either leave or be there willingly. I am expecting/hoping for some elaboration on the red eye color in Gorod Krovi. Orange: Seen only when Maxis' end game in Buried is achieved. Possibly an uninfluenced Maxis in control? Not expecting an explanation or any hidden reason to be behind this. Green: Turned AAT Zombie. Probably just for gameplay, but I would LOVE IT if Treyarch actually put a storyline reason for this in the game. So, I will add onto this as new information comes up. Let me know what you think of this speculation/far-fetched "theory?". Also, feel free to ask about specific times were this doesn't quite make sense and I will elaborate.
  12. Hi, I have been visiting this site for a long time, but just recently made an account. I have been a zombies player since Kino der Toten, and I started really following the storyline and started a couple theories when Moon came out. I have come a long way since then, and now have theories on just about every aspect of the storyline that there is. My favorite things to theorize about are the mythological and theologically based aspects such as Agartha, the Vrill-ya, the Apothicons, and the Ancient Evil. I have a solid understanding of the past and present of the zombies storyline. Anyone wanting to discuss theories or who has questions about the story is welcome to PM me because I am always open to discussing the story.
  13. An Aetherial "Multiverse" as opposed to the Multiverse Theory This post is intended to explain what exactly an Aetherial Multiverse is and how it contrasts to the Multiverse Theory. It is broken down into parts, 1: What is Aether?, 2: The Multiverse Theory, 3: My Time-Travel Paradox Theory, 4: An Aetherial Multiverse, and 5: How the two differ. 1: What is Aether? What is Aether? In greek mythology, it is the upper air that the gods breathe. It has also been used as an explanation for how things can move through a vacuum. But in CODZ, it is something else entirely. We had seen the word used many times throughout the early years of the story, but in Moon we first started to see the importance of it and what it is. Dr. Edward Richtofen describes the Moon Pyramid Device (a.k.a. the M.P.D.) as having a stable connection to another dimension. Now, just briefly I think it may be necessary to clarify the difference between universes and dimensions. A universe is one iteration of the physical realm (Earth and reality as we percieve it). By contrast, a dimension is entirely different. There are four dimensions that we know of in the CODZ story. To explain this think of 2D vs 3D. The first dimension goes only in one direction, it is entirely linear. The second dimension has both an "x" and "y" axis allowing for shapes to be formed. We live in the third dimension. This dimension has an "x", "y", and "z" axis, which allows for what we call three-dimensional (a.k.a. "3D") shapes. Then there is the theoretical fourth dimension. The fourth dimension has the added variable of time. In the fourth dimension you can pass through time as easily as space. Aether or as it is sometimes called "The Aetherial/Etherial Realm" is the fourth dimension. This is why Aetherial control is so powerful. It allows the person controlling it to manipulate space and time on a whim. 2: The Multiverse Theory I would highly recommend that you read a more in depth explanation of the Multiverse Theory, but for those of you who do not want to read a longer explanation or only need a brief refresher on the subject here is a brief summary. The Multiverse theory states that there are an infinite number of universes. If it is possible, it has happened, is happening, and will happen in some other universe. Everything that happens in game takes place in a different universe while the infinite versions of our characters attempt to succeed in their mission. 3: My Time-Travel Paradox Theory I made this theory far before I played zombies, back before BO1 was even out. I made this theory as a possible explanation to many of the paradoxes related to time travel. Here is the paradox: "I go back in time and kill Hitler before his rise to power, thus stopping WWII and changing history forever"... so what happens? Do you cease to exist? Do you go back to the present and find out there is a new version of you? My theory: "I go back in time and kill Hitler before his rise to power, thus stopping WWII and changing history forever" this disrupts the flow of the timeline through the fourth dimension and fractures it. There are now two futures. The one that I departed, and this new future where WWII never happened. It is impossible to travel between these timelines without moving through the fourth dimension (or an even higher dimension). 4: An Aetherial Multiverse It wasn't until BO2 that I considered implementing my time travel theory into my CODZ theories. If you think about it, it makes a lot of sense. This Aetherial Multiverse would consist of a finite, but ever expanding, number of timelines or universes. Every time that someone changes history through time travel, they are fracturing the universe (anyone remember the ZNS Richtofen quote "we are dealing with the inter-dimensional time travel across a fracturing universe..."?). They are able to travel back and forth between these universes by traveling through the Aether ("Return Through Aether" anyone?). It would most likely be an Aetherial Dr. Maxis that is moving them through the different universes. However, for this theory to work, there would have to have been the first time that the timeline fractured. One initial event that tore space and time. Maybe the Apothicons or the past actions of known characters, or something else entirely. Could be Primis. I think Primis is a good bet because they are the first and they are the last. They were at the beginning and at the end. However, there is no way to know for sure without more information. 5: How the two differ The two are quite possibly opposites. The Multiverse Theory's infinite universes vs An Aetherial Multiverse's finite universes. Our characters actions not even amounting to a percentage or fraction of impact on the multiverse vs our characters being one of the biggest causes for what is happening. Anyway, let me know what you guys think of this theory and thanks for reading.
