  1. All decent advice, but the thing that was causing the difficulty - being slowed down to a crawl's pace when you got hit - has now been removed via patch and you now only get slowed down a little. Training everywhere is easier now :)
  2. Not got a video but two players running the spawn works very well, been doing this with my mate on his PS4. EDIT: Clearly someone else had the same idea, how's this for ease, consistency and ammo efficiency https://www.twitch.tv/ashyfutftw/v/62032562
  3. Ahh fair enough, yeah I think a rinse-and-repeat type strategy is always best for demonstration purposes especially for the less experienced players who are relying on these types of threads.
  4. Nice finds mate. That last running strategy looks like a nice balance of speed and safety, though I can't help but feel like it'd be quicker AND safer to use Dead Wire instead of Blast Furnace to take out half-groups ever 5 or so seconds. Not gonna be able to try this myself for another month of so though but at least I can familiarise myself with the map a bit in the mean time with my friend on his PS4.
  5. Why not? EVERYTHING (including later thief rounds and strategy) up to round 50 or above is covered dude, follow the guide and you'll get to round 50 :)
  6. Been a long time since I was downed while upgrading the bows, in either solo or co-op I tend to go for the storm bow but if someone else has called dibs or managed to pip me to the post getting the initial part (after shooting the vane) then I'll settle for the wolf bow. I tend to get it done ASAP but people still suck so much at feeding the dragons that it's quite common to not get the basic bow until round 10 when I play with randoms A few tips for the storm bow in co-op, for parts people tend to struggle with: Always get the shield - if a zombie sneaks up behind you while you're trying to shoot one of the bonfires then you're covered for a few seconds and have time to react. Practice makes perfect and look for reference points on the bonfires - for example, on the one closest to the KRM I stand in front of the KRM right up to the low wall, and aim to be level with the tip of the mountain just to the left of the bonfire, and with the one that you shoot from the rocket area I stand on the top of the stairs and aim at the tip of the mountain above/behind the bonfire. The one near the clock tower you can just do by sight, easiest one for sure. With the wall runs, I always start at the entrance to the area (if you were coming from the church) by running up the mound of dirt and jumping off it like a ramp. As you're coming up to a corner turn, it always works better to turn slightly early as this makes you cling to the wall as you go round if you're already facing that direction.
  7. Yeah, I mean it's still easy to run but it's just that little bit easier on BO1. In general, though, yep, zombies has gotten easier for sure. Could never even dream of getting to 100+ without using the box on most maps unless you were using traps since early on and did very well to not need a defensive weapon, but with these maps now you can get there with no box, no traps and no ammo issues if you're running.
  8. Thoroughly enjoyed this thread. 10/10 would read again and recommend to a friend.
  9. I still think mechanically the Black Ops 1 zombies are easiest to predict and control, but of course with things like the shield covering your ass it's generally easier to train in these new maps now that the mega-slowdown from zombie hits has been patched.
  10. I had a couple year gap before the release of Black Ops 3 and I felt like I'd lost it, but right now I think I'm as good again as I ever have been.
  11. Something about those maps that just attract the worst players, the type to rape the box and totally ignore the fact that it's the middle of a round and zombies are spawning and get a pattern going like "hit the box, get downed, miss the weapon they got, get revived, repeat" The great thing about those maps is you required 0 co-operation from your teammates to get yourself set. Great fun overall.
  12. Ahhhh, those small BO2 survival maps were the BEST for running around getting loads of revives! I think I might have had a better record than my OP on Farm actually but I have no record of it.
  13. Pyramid area is slow AF as well, some of the spawn points are miles away.
  14. I've got an unanswered post in the medal request thread if anyone fancies trying out their new-found powers
  15. It's definitely fun sometimes especially split-screening with your mates, but it's quite telling that the first time I played Call of Duty I played multiplayer round my mate's house and wasn't really into it, but then we played Zombies and I became hooked. I literally only buy CoD games just for the zombies and might occasionally play multiplayer.
  16. Yeah, this was probably it as you'd slow down SO much when you got slapped - they changed it last month and running trains is much easier now.
  17. I generally only forgo the bows if I fancy a quick game to 30, in which case I'll just go with PaP'd wall guns and camp to get there in less than 45 mins. Otherwise, I always get them cause they're fun and if you're going for high rounds they're well worth getting.
  18. As a general overall strategy I camp the power switch room, then run the Death Ray area killing half-groups with Dead Wire if I run out of Storm bow arrow. If the Panzer is coming I stand in the power room just inside the doorway to the Death Ray, watch him come down, trap, blast him with the KRM, done before the trap stops. EASY.
  19. So I've just stumbled upon this YouTube video and been having a chuckle to myself. The video is titled "15 Places To Hide During A Real Life Zombie Apocalypse". How many of these places can you guys link to Treyarch Zombies maps
  20. Toward the end of Black Ops 1 I always used to purposely search out low-round players and basically go on a medic challenge haha, still do the same on BO3 tbh just try and get into games with low ranked players. I used to play with my pals a lot and do high rounds but if I'm gonna play with randoms I prefer them to suck royally or it just ends up being aimless killing.
  21. Late in here but I've just been browsing the BO1 section out of boredom XD but I wanted to give you props for this as the top floor is a great strategy. I remember Superhands and Chopper a long time ago (just before the "No Man's Land incident") discussing that there were always two windows inactive and that it's not random like we thought before, and Superhands was in the process of testing it out and had a strategy all worked out once he'd cracked it, but he left us before this was revealed... at least to the public anyway. Glad someone else managed to find it!
  22. Superhands' Solo Zombies Guide - follow it and you'll get to round 50 on any Black Ops 1 map, even if you're a trained monkey.
  23. If I have the stormbow in co-op then to revive a downed teammate I practically shoot a charged shot right at them, then the electric storm provides a protective wall around me while I revive. Done it countless times and always works, in fact I posted a screenshot the other week from a game with randoms in which I had 60 revives and no downs :) I don't understand how people go down so much playing this map, it's the easiest map that's been released in ages IMO.
  24. There were tonnes of decent training spots in SoE. I guess at first they were tough because of the way you got slowed right down with each hit, but since Treyarch removed that training has become easier and there are plenty of good running areas. The Rift always wins though!
  25. You're quite lucky, in random games I get in I normally still haven't got the basic bow by round 10 because randomers still have no idea how to properly feed the dragons LOL. Once I've got that though, you'll never find me keeping a crawler no matter what bow I go for, everything can be done mid round or quickly as rounds transition. In solo games I always play it differently. Perkaholic asap is normally on the agenda NGL. Though sometimes I might go for a quick run to round 30 in 30-45 mins and just grab some PaP'd wall guns for some camping.
