  1. Yeah, you're probably right. But even when I'm alone, I can still save my non communicative teammates frequently. I'd love to slay sometime, but sadly, I'm on Xbox :|
  2. "There are 3 versions of the Hell's Retriever in MotD! If you throw your Hell's Redeemer in the Acid Gat Kit right before it closes, it becomes green!" "If you Sliquif-y the Escape Pod in Die Rise and dive at the right time, you can get Phd Flopper!" "If you throw all your EMP's at the NAVcard table in TranZit, it will turn on and take your NAVcard! "If you use the Ray Gun to push all the bike parts to the Fallout Shelter in Nuketown, Marlton will come out and escape!" "If you go to Area 51 while the missiles hit Earth at the end of the Easter Egg, you can actually see Marlton running for the Nuketown Fallout Shelter in the distance!" "If you kill every Monkey in the first 10 seconds in the starting room at Shangri La, you'll receive more Max Ammo drops!" "If you shoot the spaceship in CotD with the Wunderwaffe, it'll start shooting Ray Gun shots all around you!" "There is a hidden achievement for the Ascension Easter Egg if you do the steps in the right order!" "I beat Dead Ops Arcade. It switches to First Person and you fight a giant Cosmic Silverback." "The Pentagon Thief is actually the guy who killed JFK!" "There's an Easter Egg in Kino that let's you go to the rooms you are teleported to if you get every tape in the right order!" "You can get the drops from the Fly Trap in Der Riese if you teleport while they are flying, and you become invincible!" "There's a hidden PaP in the meteor at Shi No Numa!" "When you make it to round 100 in Verruckt, it lets you go into the courtyard and beat the game!" "You can escape Nahct der Untoten in the WaW version!" People will believe anything they're told.
  3. My friends and I play Grief whenever we don't have enough time for a full game of normal zombies, and one thing I've really noticed is that the games constantly end between rounds 5 - 15. We're yet to see a game hit past 20, in Alcatraz and Green Run, and have never lost from actually going down. It's always suicide or we win. The other team allows us to revive each other, doesn't steal kills, and allow us to pick up drops. I constantly hear questions all the time like "What does this steak thing do?" or "Wait, why don't we have an Insta Kill also?" Honestly, it takes around 20 minutes for a single Grief game. How often do you get matched with people that know what they're doing? I personally have gotten 1 or two games where people communicated and actually did OK against us.
  4. I haven't really seen this, but I do see at least one person per game throwing all there flashbangs at once randomly around the map. It's extremely annoying. The cure for your Noob Tube problems is League Play. Everything used that pisses you off is removed - Noob Tubes, C4, Claymores, RPG's, etc. are all gone. You just have to get used to the competitiveness of it, and the constant map cycle. :|
  5. Wow, very nice job Fated! I've always thought of 115 just to be a random song of the O4 enjoying killing the zombies, but this has me thinking otherwise. Richtofen seemed like a normal guy before he touched the MPD. After that, he seemed very different. Perhaps the demon came from the MPD, and pretty much drove him to get power. This whole talking to himself thing reminds me of what it must be like for the N4 hearing Stuhlinger talk to Richtofen. On an unrelated note, this whole demon inside of Richtofen idea for some reason reminds me of that kid from The Shining. Great analysis!
  6. Oh goodness. Let's not get into a fight here, guys. Looks like I was shooting blanks with this one. I actually posted this while I was tired and didn't even review it Oh well, I'll request deletion. Thanks guys!
  7. I find it ironic that we love the zombies storyline this much, but Sal, Finn, Billy, and the Editor all thought it was stupid. Watch the final ending cutscene just be the Editor closing the comic book, and mumbles to himself "Well that was stupid." And the screen cuts to black. Really nice finds, Ray Gun :D
  8. @TheBSZombie You know you don't need to quote the OP, right? No offense, but I hate scrolling that much Very helpful post, chocolate. Helps us Forever Aloners a ton :D
  9. @Infest Haha, thanks a ton man. I tend to get on these long rants where things constantly stack on each other, and it gets confusing. I must not have been very clear in the OP. I'd like to believe it's occurring in the normal zombies dimension. I say it's Lucifer because of the distinctly different voice we hear in Greif, the red eyes, and the time frame. ET12ERTNAL402 pointed this out in one of my earlier threads. The GGB cabling construction began August 1st, 1935 and GGB suspended structure construction began June 18th, 1936 This is what it looked like after cabling construction was finished: Therefore, MotD must occur between August 1st, 1935 and June 18th, 1936. From A Zombie Trilogy: P34.On October 1, 1945, the zombie control group tests were put on hold. Maxis also refused to mass produce the Wunderwaffe DG-2; after all, the Reichstag High Command was gone. Richtofen was not happy about this. (No zombie control yet.) So, by logic, we are pre Samantha. I'm going to have to edit the OP.
  10. Hi guys, It's recently come to my attention that we appear to have found just about everything major with Alcatraz. We have been introduced to a brand new cast of characters, we are currently pre-Samantha's Yellow Eyes with a Satanic controller, and we are being told of this paradox of events. With all this down, the section for MotD has been somewhat dead recently. I personally have been lurking because I've felt it too. However, why are we saying we're done with Alcatraz? I've created this thread as an opportunity for people to try and answer past the broad answers we currently have for Alcatraz's events. There are a few huge questions that remain, and I think we're ready to answer them. 1. Why are our mobsters being attacked in the first place? (Past) My theory: -In the dying monologue of Albert Arlington, we hear him admit to being the reason the characters are being attacked by the zombies. He knew that eventually, the other three would figure out that he was on the zombies' side, as they do at the end of the sidequest. cFl5taExPzk (Skip to 6:15) He also speaks of how he hated being ignored, as he was before. He wanted to be powerful, like Sal, or Billy, but knew he would never be recognized as different. So, I believe that in Alcatraz, he wanted to finally prove he was different. He created the escape plan, but was nervous it wouldn't work, and that he'd be killed if it didn't. So, he decided to make sure he could get off of the island. He sold Sal's, Billy's, Finn's, and his soul to Lucifer in exchange for getting themselves off of the island. I believe this quote foreshadowed this: eEUT3lgR9vc (Skip to 0:46) However, Lucifer wasn't very fair with this deal. (as you'd expect.) For a punishment to the mobsters for what they've done, he allowed the escape plan to fail, and then the other three murdered Weasel. Soon after, they were executed via electric chair. But Lucifer still had to keep his half of the deal. He resurrected them in a new Alcatraz. One where he possessed every human except for them in Alcatraz to attack, ("No 115" quote.) and rearranged Alcatraz to be a horrific, hellish area to be in. He then gave them weapons, and gave them the option fight through the hoard to escape for entertainment. As they successfully crafted the plane and escaped the island into the sky, Lucifer had technically kept his half of the deal. However, he wasn't done with our mobsters yet, for he had their souls. He knocked them around in the sky with a storm, and used that same storm to knock them into the Golden Gate Bridge. There, he also used the storm to zap in the electric chairs that would bring them back to Alcatraz. He had conned the Weasel, and now could play with the characters as he wished. Weasel was aware of what was happening, however, Lucifer wiped the others' memories every time they died of something other than suicide. That's why we hear the other characters question Weasel about how he knows so much, but he never answers. This would continue until they Lucifer decided he had enough of the game, and allowed the others to hear what had originally happened. They then went to the GG Bridge one last time. While there, the zombies began to protect Weasel. The others were already suspicious that Weasel was in on it somehow because he knew so much about it, but now it was confirmed. They attacked Weasel, but couldn't overpower his weapons and the other zombies. Lucifer had broken the cycle by having the others dead, but not returning. Now, Weasel belongs to Lucifer, and must do his bidding. 2. Why are we hearing about any of this? (Future) My theory: -I think that by logic, we have not seen the last of Lucifer and Weasel. From an exterior perspective, why would we be given this story if it didn't have anything to do with the future of the storyline? So, I think we now have enough evidence to make a few predictions on what's to come. I think two of those just so happen to branch off of this quote: cNcCedQNaFE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNcCedQNaFE/ (Skip to 11:31) In this quote, Sam is referring to something (or someone) in the Aether that must be very evil. We've wondered for quite a while what this could be, and I think we may now know. The Aether is a sort of heaven made particularly of the element fire, used in Greek and Roman mythology. It is related to αἴθω "to incinerate", also intransitive "to burn, to shine" (related is the name Aithiopes (Ethiopians)), meaning "people with a burnt (black) visage" Does this not sound perfect for Richtofen? Or maybe some other evil-loving beings... Ones with red eyes... *cough cough* Lucifer *cough cough* If the Aether is a fiery "heaven" full of burnt darkness, why would Lucifer ever leave? Just because he's in the Aether doesn't mean he's controlling the zombies. He could be doing other things, like dealing souls and stuff. Now, with the idea that there could be more than one person in the Aether in your head, think about how we hear Sam's voice call out the power ups, and we have Samantha's Lullaby play on the map. Perhaps Samantha is in the MPD right now, and is testing some of her powers as we fight. Perhaps Lucifer allowed her to have the zombies, to avenge her father, whilst he did his other business. [MID-POST EDIT: We must be pre Samantha by logic on this one. ^This occurred before Samantha ran into the MPD. So, Samantha may not be in there yet. Perhaps it's actually Lucifer's voice that calls out the drops. We do have this quote from Der Riese after getting a Max Ammo: Perhaps he was the one to send the drops in the first place. It doesn't make sense that Samantha would want to help the O4 anyway, and he wanted the bloodshed to continue.] And now, he's in there with Richtofen. Perhaps Richtofen mending the rift will seal Lucifer off while he has omnipotent powers over the Earth, and Maxis tearing it means the destruction of Richtofen via Lucifer's powers. [MID-POST EDIT: Agreeing with the other edit, perhaps Richtofen sends the drops now. He may want them alive so he can do what he needs to with the Sidequests.] I know that with the future of the storyline, I'm probably looking much too into it, but I feel as though there is a TON of significance with what's happened in MotD. Thanks for reading through my thought process! (Hopefully your not lost ) Now, I want to hear yours. Let me know below. (Yay rhymes.) -bagel_, out P.S. I finished this post at exactly 1:15 AM in the morning
  11. Hey, Travis! Welcome to the forum! It's ok if you're not the best zombies player, I'm sure you'll get there. Thankfully, a ton of us are here mainly for the storyline, so I'm sure you'll fit in just fine. See ya around!
  12. ...Perks, drops, and Official Wonder Weapons, that is. We actually arer having a strict pattern on the amount of Perks and Drops we can have on one map, with a new perk and a new Wonder Weapon included in the mix. This is what I mean: In TranZit, we were given a total of 5 Drops and 6 Perks, plus the Jet Gun. The drops were: Max Ammo Nuke Carpenter Insta Kill Double Points The perks were: Jug Double Tap QR Speed Cola Stammin Up Tombstone (new) In Die Rise, we also had 5 Drops, 6 Perks, and the Sliquifier. The drops were: Max Ammo Nuke Carpenter Insta Kill Double Points The perks were: Jug Double Tap QR Speed Cola Mule Kick Who's Who (new) In MotD, we get 5 drops and 6 perks, plus the Blundergat. The drops were: Max Ammo Nuke Fire Sale Insta Kill Double Points The perks were: Jug Double Tap Speed Cola Deadshot Daiquiri Electric Cherry (new) So, say the next map is around the same size as Ascension. How would you stack it with perks, drops, and wonder weaponry? This is what I'd love: Drops: Max Ammo Nuke Fire Sale (Carpenters are pointless IMO.) Insta Kill Double Points Perks: Jug Double Tap QR Speed Cola PhD Flopper (Missing Mustang & Sallies at Point Blank) Mule Milk (new) -- Wnite perks that effects you in a way that allows you to occasionally chain-insta-kills zombies when you get collateral damage + carry Extra Reserve Ammo The new wonder weapon would be called The Heater -- An upgradable Assault Rifle that fires through two barrels on both sides of the gun at once, but your ammo decreases by one at a time with a somewhat slow fire rate. At first glance, it doesn't seem like much -- then you upgrade it. Out comes The Scorcher -- a three barreled assault rifle that fires extremely effective pink flames out of the bottom of it whilst you shoot, getting the zombies in the legs while the top half has replaced it's normal ammo with automatic sniper shots. The basic mag wouldn't change for it, nor would reserve ammo to keep from OP. It'd be at 20/180 with full ammo, and have a slightly increased fire rate. If you keep it out while you're out of ammo, it will shoot a fireball of flame if you ADS, but makes you wait 6 seconds to do it again. So, what about you guys? -bagel_, out
  13. 1. YaThirstyPartner. It's simply perfect. 2. No idea, but if you take my next step of advice, you'll hit it in between 3 to 6 weeks if you play everyday. 3. First, I recommend practicing this on your main account. -NOTE: If at any time you feel you are going to be downed, pause and end the game. This will preserve your K/D. -Start up a game of Solo Town Survival in Custom Games on Round 15. (Original of course.) -Next, instantly PaP your M1911, then sprint to the top of the stairs to where Jug is, but don't buy the door. Shoot the zombies before they can make their way up the stairs. Shoot one gun at a time at a constant rate towards the street below. Watch which drops appear. If it's a Max Ammo or Double Points, spray and go grab it, then return to your post. -Third, you should have at least enough for the door, Jug, and Stammin Up. You are going to buy all three as soon as the round ends. Stay near the Stammin Up Machine area without buying the door to Speed Cola. -Now you are to run trains here this round. (Round 16) If you need to see how to run trains/kite that area, check out this video. Lal6BbTEgW4 (Skip to about 5 minutes in and ignore the commentary, I disagree with a lot he says ) All you must do is run the way he does and you're good on that. -DO NOT FIRE UNTIL THE ENTIRE 24 ZOMBIES HAVE APPEARED. It's too easy to down yourself that way. Simply wait until they are all in, then sprint away from them towards the PaP. When you are 3/4 of the way there, turn around and let 'em have it. Try to leave a last zombie. It's ok if you kill them all, but it'll be tight. Make sure the door to Speed Cola is closed at all times. -When you have your zombie, you're going to want to head over to Double Tap. If it's between rounds and the box is there, hit it first, then buy Double Tap, and take what you get from the box. If you're dissatisfied, trade it for the M14 off of the wall. Continue the trains, and occasionally spray at the head with the M14. -After this round, you'll be on 18. PaP your other Weapon between rounds. You should be at around 100 kills with 0 deaths. Continue to run this round with normal trains. -When you hit 200 kills, buy the Bar Door and grab QR if you want. Continue trains. -When you hit 300 kills with 0 downs, I highly recommend quitting. The hoards will become increasingly difficult and you will become more likely to go down. The reason I say this is because it'll keep your K/D very high. If you decide to take the risk and continue, at least buy yourself QR, and do what you want I've done this strategy for my basic account with a K/D of 40, and it boosted to 53 after around 2 weeks of playing 2 games a day. I can't even imagine where I'd be if I did it on a fresh account. Good luck slaya.
  14. Eventually the zombies and Brutuses will kill the three besides Weasel. Try and fight as you may, you will run out of ammo and screw up somewhere, and then you will die. So, there is always an ending. The game progresses normally, but you are not allowed to go back to Alcatraz. My friends and I tried it, but I got sick of it and Remington'd all three of them after about 10 minutes on the bridge. So, uh, eventually, "Weasel" won't be able to keep his hands off of the controller... heh, heh.
  15. Every time I finish building the zombie shield in the cafeteria MotD, I announce I'm done, and wait for people to get close. Right before they walk in, I turn the Acid Trap on. It's worked on my friends 4 times already, only once did one of them escape their death
  16. (Guns in order of TranZit. NTZ, Die Rise, and MotD.) 1. Ak74u, M27, Sliquifier, MP5k. 2. RPD, LSAT, SVU/PDW, Remington. The reason I have wall weapons for MotD is specifically because I really run the Cafeteria, using mainly the Acid Trap and Hell's Redeemer once I'm set up. I just use the nearby wall weapons for easy ammo. TranZit Perks: Jug Double Tap Stammin Up QR/Speed Cola NTZ: The only perks available Die Rise Perks: Jug Double Tap Mule Kick QR/Speed Cola MotD Perks: Jug Double Tap Speed Cola Deadshot I actually hate the Ray Gun. (I know, have me executed.) I find it dangerous, crawler-creating, and somewhat boring to use. I like spraying until the head comes off.
  17. How do you get 100 years? MotD is in the 30's. Is Die Rise after 2030? I thought it was more in line with Green Run's timeframe, late 1980's (I think). There's a poster in the shop at Die Rise saying that it's been open since 1997 or 1996, which means a minimum of around 2007. Also, some people pointed out that there's a poster of what seems to be Tian Zhao from the campaign, saying he's zombified and dangerous, which would have us in 2025. :)
  18. Very nice thought process, Fated. Here's the pictures you'll need: The colors are practically identical. As per Richtofen saving the Earth, I think you're spot on. Remember that quote we have from him at the end of the TranZit Easter Egg? Or, maybe it's all overthought. I like the way this is headed though. +1
  19. I absolutely love Five. It's the only map with difficulty IMO. There's a special way to get to Jug, the close corners leave you at the edge of your seat, and it really makes you and your friends stick together.
  20. Hii. I'm on Xbox too. Feel free to add me: Double XL Nug Enjoy your stay!
  21. I find it hard to believe that it's Russman for the same reasons as EJ. Plus, MotD takes place nearly 100 years before Die Rise. Russman wasn't even in existence back then.
  22. Oh wow, totally slipped my mind. I've literally only been playing MotD.
  23. It's a cool idea. I believe that DOA had to become cannon somehow, right? Though sometimes 3arc decides to leave it to the community to write the storyline, and it appears as though you have come up with a very reasonable explanation. Nice job, EJ!
  24. I know that GRILL's thread said that it possibly could be related to Reznov. But who knows.
  25. I'd like to see the M8A1, Vector, the Crossbow back, and C4. All of them would be effective for Zombies, I think.
