  1. I would like to see between round bosses. However, I would not want them to be the same as they are now, because they are far to easy. I would like to see one true boss, which has a ton of health and is actually challenging, as opposed to dogs which is a free round and max ammo. In fact, I don't even consider the monkeys or dogs bosses because they are so easy. I would love it if we could see more bosses like the pentagon thief, because he is actually a boss. If there aren't challenging boss rounds in the next game then I would rather have mid-round bosses.
  2. We were pretty much all newbs, but we had a great strategy. Anyone can hold off a window with a porters x2, so our job was easy. The guy running loops had done it maybe once before, so he wasn't great. We would help kill his horde as it ran by the hallway. He would go down every couple rounds but we had a plan. Whenever he went down we someone would throw a black hole, then revive him. He would take the window for the rest of the round and I would run loops. Since I had the thundergun I only went down like once there I think, but it wasn't a big deal. At the end of the round whoever needed to could get perks or guns if he needed to. It isn't always the skill level of the players that determines how far you get, it is the strategy employed to get that far. You only need to know enough about the game to get far.
  3. I would say for beginners, Co-op is way easier. If you make a mistake, your teammate is there to revive you. You can talk to your teammates to learn more about the game. In co-op you may only get around 6 zombies at a time, depending on the number of players. Also, beginngers can all camp it out and make it to the high 20s. I remember playing kino, and to be honest I sucked. We all got good guns and camped at the bottom of the stairs next to the alley. We made it to round 28, and that is farther than a lot of people have made it who are more experienced. Here's another example; after ascension came out, I was still pretty inexperienced. The only kind of kiting I knew about was around the whole map on kino. We were running a 3 player game, so we couldn't camp at flopper. So my buddy says that me and my friend can stand by pack-a-punch while he runs loops right outside. Holding off a window isn't too hard, so we only started to have trouble when our kiter started struggling. At round 35 we had to leave because it was too hectic. So me and my friend bought an mp5 off the wall and run and gunned until we lost on 37. It was one of the most fun games of zombies I have ever had, and we got to 37. Newbs can't make it to 37 solo, but they can co-op, which is why co-op is easier for beginners.
  4. Umm Aegis did you read my Verruckt guide at all? I'm pretty sure I put in a good paragraph on how to hold down a window.
  5. Haha maybe, maybe not, that's why I was wondering . On a side note I love this being on the second page because it doesn't take hours to load and scroll down to get to the reply I wanted to see.
  6. I will now describe the effects of the teddy bear from Dead Ops in great detail with 12 steps. 1. You are playing with a friend and are both down to your final life. 2. A teddy bear spawns, and you think ooh I need that so it can save my life. 3. You receive a shiny blue forcefield. 4. When zombies touch it, they make butterflies 5. Zombies become scared (of the butterflies?) and run back to their spawn 6. Some zombies don't have spawns=Programming error. Some types just sit there waving there arms around waiting for you to run by so they can kill you. 7. You then happen to pick up a flamethrower, what are you supposed to do??? 8. You run by a flaming zombie standing in one spot hiding in the shadows 9. You die and lose your times 9 multiplier. 10. Your partner then experiences the most intense wave of cursing imaginable. 11. Your partner then gets distracted by your swearing that he dies. 12. Game over, you lost because you picked up that all-powerful teddy bear. So why does the teddy bear give you those powers? Judging by the description above I'm pretty sure that the creators of Dead Ops were high when they made it, I mean really? Really? Come on, Really? A blue forcefield that scares zombies by creating butterflies making them run away and you run into a zombie standing still in the shadows that you can't even see and die and start swearing like a sailor causing your teammate to become distracted and die which makes you lose. (Try saying that in one breath. ) Game Over. Okay he might not have been high, but he was at least having a bad day. In all seriousness though, it is a good idea thta could have serious ramifications for the storyline. If they are tecnologically advanced they could do a great number of things, like teleport the heroes back in time or help create something that reverses the zombie outbreak just to name a few.
  7. Wow that's pretty cool not gonna lie. But that makes me wonder what another top-notch Dead Ops player would think of my guide... Also if you feel like making a small update the new world record for Co-op DoA is 120, not 103 like it currently says in the guide, and you fight 3 monkeys, It's not the biggest deal but it is false information so I'll leave it up to you. Oh and btw and I finally gave you [brains]
  8. Well back in the day I wasn't too big on DoA, so I can't say for sure, but I can tell you about nowadays. I personally don't glitch and neither does anyone I play with. Barrels work miracles for me and others right now. The orbs are pretty sketchy though- the first one always works but after that it's all luck. Whenever I'm down to my last orb it will go off when it's not even close to a zombie. The worst part is if an orb hits a dog it does nothing and is wasted.
  9. Either way I was just trying to point out the boredom, sloppiness, and lack of concentration is part of the challenge of getting to high rounds. You have to experience those challenges and adjust to them before you will ever get extremely far. I'm not trying to slam you or anything; that first comment was supposed to be sarcastic but over the internet it's hard to tell.
  10. Shouldn't it be monkeys??? Just messin with ya man.
  11. But if you make stupid mistakes that kind of prevents you from going as far as you want...
  12. Yeah I would consider 80 pretty high but the 50s aren't that great. They are good, but not great. I actually think I have played with this guy before too, although I think he had bad connection and lagged out. We can play sometime if you're up for it. I could give you some pointers to really improve your game.
  13. This makes me want to post some high round footage; way higher than this at least.
  14. I have never understood this, why does it matter if someone takes your kills? There are an unlimited amount of zombies for you to kill. Besides, it saves you ammo for the time being, and can potentially save your life. For example I was in a game with randoms yesterday on Ascension. One person steals one kill on round 1 so the guy decides to leave. Is it really worth it to leave for that extra 130 points? When it comes to round 5 and you decide to leave, you can have them open the doors because they have the most points. The only time it can be problematic is if one person is downed. If someone kills all the zombies then you may get trapped by spawning zombies, but even then you can just throw a monkey or whatnot. People "stealing" my kills are the least of my worries when I play co-op zombies. Besides, do the zombies really belong to you in the first place?
  15. Sometimes I farm just to get as many points as possible. One time I played on Ascension and had 350k by round 30. I obviously didn't need to worry about points for the rest of the game.
  16. A chemical is a compound and usually a liquid or a gas. An element is the most basic form of matter that cannot be broken down any further without losing its properties.
  17. I think it depends on the map and people playing. Take Five as an example. With multiple people it is hard to get far, due to the tight spaces, lack of a power weapon, difficult trap positions, and no flopper. People have been much farther on solo than in Co-Op. For the tight maps-Verruckt, Five, SL, and Nacht I think solo is easier. For the open maps I think Co-op is easier. The ease of revive, Power weapons, good traps and people to talk to as you may lose focus. The only drawback to Co-Op is that you can't pause the game and come back the next day. I will also say that Dead Ops is much easier on co-op.
  18. *Goes to get a new pair of pants after reading this* I'm at a loss for words this is so monumental. I would give you a million [brains] if I could, but I must spread my rep 999,999 times first Mind=Blown
  19. Hi and welcome to the site. Oh btw Dead Ops is the best game ever in the history of mankind. Jk but it is still excellently awesome.
  20. No but that door IS an ancient teleporter, regardless of whether or not Shangri-La was. I would also like to point out that Markowasi is in South America, not Persia. Legend has it that the king of the Local tribe/empire whatever it was received a golden disc. When he put the disc on the door it became something not of stone. He walked through it and was never seen again. There is also a lake by this place which has an unusually high amount of UFO sightings. I learned this from watching ancient aliens. That show has a lot of interesting facts, many of which could possibly become part of the storyline I might add.
  21. ^^ In guitar hero you could do that for free . My personal opinion on this is that we will get all the BO maps back but not the WaW ones. I don't see the appeal in having the same map in 3 games, but then again that's what they did on Gears of War with Gridlock and it's still really popular.
  22. You could also go into games and tell the others to stay out of the way while you do the easter eggs. I've done that before on CotD. I just had one guy catch the vodka bottle and did the rest on my own. Like I said it just has to do with finding the right people and getting lucky. For Shangri-La you only need some cooperation. Go in with you and your friend, and all they have to do is activate the eclipse. Tell them to stay out of the way for the rest of it.
  23. I have successfully completed all the easter eggs with randoms (beside ascension). You just have to talk to them in the lobby and get a feel for their personality. Will they be helpful or hurtful? Will they cooperate and can they hold their own? If not then back out and search again. It takes a little time but I have done it again and again.
  24. I think 4 player games are realistic up until around 30. Any rounds after that simply take forever. I also think that four player games are generally more intense; people going down, zombies everywhere, things like that. For fun I would prefer 4 player games to anything else.
