    Dr. Montys note

Just as a heads up, we've got a previous discussion about the scraps of paper here if you'd like to weigh in with this stuff over there :)
  2. In relation to your image with Saturday, May 03 on it, only two years in the 1940s have that date: 1941 and 1947. With the Saturday, June 23 image, that's only in 1945. Couple this with the Friday night date of April 10 (which is in 1942), we have a host of dates to work with. Doing a quick search, I'm not able to find anything too interesting about October 32nd, though if one had to somehow assign a date to Saturday, October 32nd, it would again be either 1941 of 1947.
  3. Hey guys, Tac here with another thread. Through the various telephones, whether they be from the prologue or in the actual game, we have learned a lot about our four sinners we play with. Below I'll provide the three transcripts for each of their respective sections, as well as the handful of quotes from the rituals general encounters (in orange), in chronological order. Afterwards I'll provide my thoughts and theories on what was just read, so I recommend skimming all the dialogue transcripts beforehand. To get this out of the way, I am saying the one consistent man on the phone is Mr. Rapt, as noted when the journalist said the following to Mr. Rapt: "I tracked down all the people you asked me to look into. I sent you a telegram of all their details, all their contact numbers." Another to note, which everyone likely already knows, is that the phone calls in which no one responds signifies that the killing of whoever has already taken place. Nero Blackstone Telephones Thoughts Jack Vincent Telephones Thoughts Floyd Campbell Telephones Thoughts Jessica Rose Telephones Thoughts So, that's my preliminary analysis on what I've seen and heard so far. There are many conundrums to deal with regarding Mr. Rapt, however. It's been said that Mr. Rapt was involved in each character's plots from the very beginning, but given what I said regarding Nero Blackstone's wife, this doesn't appear to be the case. Additionally, it's been assumed that Mr. Rapt took part in at least pushing each character to kill their associate, which may be given credence with the Blackstone and Campbell scenarios (the latter to a lesser extent). However, it holds no empirical weight in regards to Jack Vincent and Jessica Rose. With Vincent, one would have to show that on the same day the newspaper story ran, he found out the suit visited his partner. This chain of events is not impossible, but there simply is no evidence to suggest that it's true. In regards to Jessica's situation, one would have to show her producer's meeting with Mr. Rapt somehow led her to kill the blackmailer, though given what I said in that section, it simply isn't possible without inserting an unsubstantiated claim into the mix. So, in the community's attempt to draw parallels between the stories and provide an overarching theme for what Mr. Rapt is treating these characters, we seemed to miss some things. Are there still any overarching things we can extrapolate?
  4. There are two years between Origins and The Giant, so on top of Shadows of Evil, there's plenty that could've happened in that time (such as a Brazil visit).
  5. The first time we encountered the Black Sun was before that, actually. In Der Riese, we saw the German word for Black Sun "Schwarze Sonne" on the chalkboard and in Shangri-La, the actual logo was on the loading screen I believe.
  6. @PINNAZ, I don't think that Mr. Rapt is The Shadowman. In the radios, the freelance journalist tells Mr. Rapt that the locals informed him of "a 'dark force' [that] cast its shadow over the city" long ago. Mr. Rapt seems like he's the intrigued outsider, not the Shadowman.
  7. I've got the quotes in this thread: http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/index.php?/topic/139175-transcripts-of-zombies-radios-journals-cinematics-and-letters/ Every character has a quote about hypothetically never being able to change back from a Beast, so I think this is alluding to that, not that he knew of these creatures beforehand. This isn't to say he didn't know of them, but this quote doesn't support the theory in my opinion. I believe the meteors he's referring to are actual meteors, likely containing Element 115 and creating the zombies, like in Shi No Numa.
  8. I'm having some trouble understanding your theory. The grammar and flow are giving me difficulty, is there any way you could edit the post a little so I can provide feedback? :)
  9. It isn't that it's being ignored, I don't think, but rather that people don't think it should be all that's looked at when looking for their appearance (or something else). The mythos around the Black Sun and Vril-ya has grown since the book and that should be taken into account.
  10. You're acting as if the only source of Vril-ya information we should concern ourselves with is the Power of the Coming Race, which is absurd. One could almost say that the Nazi references hold more weight, considering the game we're playing.
  11. Though it's pretty indicative that the Vril-ya are related in this, considering the Black Sun is their source of energy.
  12. Oh man, I hope no one's calling the old team back in!
  13. So first, the being you're describing are known as Keepers! :) I definitely think we have much more to learn about the Vril-ya. They've been with us since Der Riese and their presence has grown ever-greater. In addition, in regards to their looks, there are multiple different sources that are credible for what they look like, so I don't think we should hinder ourselves to one, like The Coming Race. However, I'm not entirely convinced that these beings are Vril-ya. It would be an awesome if they were, but the lack of Vril-ya and Agartha references thus far makes me hesitant to say that. However, like I said, I sure hope so!
  14. Haha trust me, the Vril-ya and Hollow Earth stuff is very much in play. Ever since Der Riese!
  15. The artifact mentioned in The Giant is definitely the Summoning Key from Shadows of Evil, no doubt about it. I'm hoping that completing the egg does something to help the search for a Giant side quest, though I have my doubts about that. I wouldn't make any broad assumptions though, as you imply he may not be doing this "for the good" anymore, since we simply have no idea what's happening. We'll certainly learn in time!
  16. How does that have any impact on whether it's done?
  17. A producer at Treyarch tweeted this, so take it as you wish: https://twitter.com/Screebles/status/664631387568390144
  18. This theory of evil Vril-ya is, I believe, what the zombies story is based off of. I've said before Shangri-La that the Vril-ya in-game, especially from S-L, are not good. In my eyes, they are the Illuminati and they do not have good intentions. This is all based off of popular mythology about the race that didn't come from the Coming Race. @Monopoly Mac and I made a thread about it ages ago. While some things in there surely need to be edited, it gets the point across. http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/index.php?/topic/170129-the-grand-satanic-aryan-angel-alien-connection-by-tac-mac/

    Begin Anew

Haha even in another reality, he uses the same quote xD Edit: It's not like what I said means much though haha, considering there are infinite timelines so a 100% he would say it in another timeline
  20. They actually didn't go back in time. Retrospective time travel causes a grandfather paradox. They moved forward in time from Origins, and according to Dempsey, made two or more other stops along the way. Yeah, that's going to be an important thing to remember: there was no going back in time. I'll try to explain it in a way that made it easier for me to wrap my head around (for the sake of explaining, I'll avoid the intricacies MurderMachineX detailed above). Think about the life you're currently living, and let's say you have a significant other and eventually break up. This is one universe, and in another, you met this same person in the same way and begin dating, but you don't break up in this Universe. Everything about your life was identical up until the point in which you didn't break up, and life just took a different path from there. Apply this to the storyline. There is one universe in which 935 goes to Bar-le-Duc, France (Origins location), in search of Element 115 and don't find it ("main" storyline), but in a different universe, they did find some, and it changed the course of what we consider "history," if that makes sense. It's the same concept as your significant other. Now, there are an infinite amount of these universes. To go back to the analogy about your life, there is a universe for falling in love with each and every individual person and every way possible. Similiarly to the story, there is a Universe in which Dr. Richtofen was never conceived, one where he is killed at the age of 8, and one in which he decided to never go into this field at all. Anything you can imagine is a universe. These specific in-game universes are being treated as ones that Dr. Richtofen and Dr. Maxis have sought out, because they don't care about those other ones. Does that clear anything up at all? If not please tell me and I'll try again to help you :)
  21. I believe it was @LiamFTWinter who at one point said there was more than one. I haven't been following the EE hunt as closely as I should be, but I can't wait for it to be completed.
  22. I've wanted to read through them before but I don't have the capability so I hoped someone else would :p As for the content of the message itself, nothing in this sticks out to me too much! I'd be interested in reading it for the later missions though, that's for sure.
  23. I'm in the process of scripting them, and there are some juicy ones in here! A couple, for those who care, include Jessica calling the Keepers "interdimensional being" and MANY quotes from Jack about the mobsters at Alcatraz.
