  1. You'll always be in one of our 6 Pokeballs, Jolty. Thanks for the great times, and I hope to see you in battle once again. ;)
  2. All fixed up, friendos.
  3. If anyone is curious, @Hells Warrrior's channel description is Latin for an evil voodoo ritual which will turn you into nothing but dust instantly if you dare try to shamelessly self-advertise your channel within the forum itself. This means making a topic just to boost your "internet popularity".
  4. Welcome to the family, friendo! You know it's a crime to have never played THE GREATEST MAP IN ALL OF ZOMBIE EXISTENCE (Moon), right? Well, that's just an opinion but still - get on it. Enjoy your stay and happy slayin'!
  5. Welcome to the family, friendo! Don't worry about it - we're happy to help in any way so we understand how excited it is to have possible new information. Happy slayin'!
  6. In addition to this, the beta has what you expect: lots of bugs and glitches. By keeping the time period short, you're being prevented from becoming accustomed to the beta format (which may change in the final release) and it avoids repetition as @Stop mocking me0 stated. You have no idea how many people religiously play a beta and end up not buying the actual game because they've made their decision from playing for several months. Late August to mid November is a pretty long ride, especially when you're trying to keep the hype intense.
  7. Let's stay on topic, folks.
  8. I would be very careful about taking the trailer into such specific detail. Remember what happened with Call of the Dead and Tranzit trailers/intros? Edited or completely removed content that many of us noticed. I would take everything in trailers with a grain of salt excluding direct dialogue and purposefully-focused objects. But I do agree (and hope) that this map ought to have some slight altercations with enough throwback that it's not completely different to us.
  9. CoD fans are always happy for XP. And with Zombies getting a new progression system? Yeah, having Double XP on launch to get ahead of everyone and see what's in store is kinda really a big deal. Perhaps not for you, but then again, you don't speak on the behalf of those who love the level-up progression.
  10. Welcome to the family, Matt! Thanks for being a part of serving the US military. Now let's see how those skills fair up in some good ol' zombie slaying, yeh? Enjoy your stay and happy slaying!
  11. Cater to an audience that will legit eat an apple for Double XP < Cater to an already pro-Doritos and pro-Mountain Dew audience to add onto the infamous gamer stereotype C'mon guys, this is Marketing 101. In order to appeal to the gamer, you gotta think like one. Whoever is working Treyarch/Activision PR is genius.
  12. The black sword definitely looks different compared to the other images. I agree with @Lenne that 1, 3, and 4 looks identical from the blade. It seems to change glow when doing a charged attack or something similar to it. Perhaps it's something similar to MotD's Hell's Retriever vs. Redeemer. I'm thinking the glowing sword is the strongest version of it.
  13. Why is it so hard to believe a parallel/alternate universe? We've dealt with time travel, purgatory, temporal displacement, all the shenanigans. And additionally, it's been supported indirectly by the developers through all the maps we've dealt with. The ending of Black Ops 2 only opened the idea more so. I mean, Maxis going through Agartha/The Rift in Buried in order to save his daughter and allow the entire world to collapse? That's the end of that reality - the original timeline. The Earth was to cease to exist, and Maxis said it himself to the N4. Everyone was screwed. Being said that, the only option left is to restore the world once again and prevent a disastrous future. Hence why we deal with our Origins crew - an alternate reality where each soldier crossed paths with similar interests and actually worked together to fend off the undead (which according to the original timeline could not have occurred). And if that's impossible to believe, look at the obvious: had this alternate reality been anything else, that would mean the Germans were victorious in WW1. We know that's not true. The original storyline kept close to OUR actual history...or, at least the conspiracies and events. We know several universes and realities exist in Zombies. The firmly believe that it's all centralized in one linear time stream is just ignorance at its finest. Time bounces around in this game - that's what the developers wanted. The WaW bios gave us each soldier's history and background. That is still canon in the original timeline. In fact, it could still remain canon if we believe Origins was the true predecessor up until the zombie outbreak in the excavation site. Personally, I believe that (but the discussion is due for another thread). Tl;dr: Bios are canon to an extent. Alternate universes are very much possible and evident. Consistency in time fluctuates in the story.
  14. Welcome to the family, friendo! You've fallen victim to the Xbone trap...don't worry, several of us are on that unfortunate boat. But it'll go by fast over time.
  15. Welcome back to the family, friendo! If you know the email/username of your last account we can revive it for you. Just PM us your information.
  16. About the whole Maxis death scenario...the beginning of The Giant cutscene shows the occurring events in which Richtofen teleports Maxis and Samantha to Moon. We know this, because it's virtually a repeat of the audio recordings we hear in Griffin Station (Moon). Both got teleported there, Sam ran into the MPD thus being trapped, Maxis was told her to kill all of them and was shot. Thus, Sam ruled over the zombies. But @alexthingy is spot on - there would need to be more time before the zombies were ruled by Samantha. Which makes me believe that yellow-orange is the default color of the zombie eyes. Sam could have easily adopted it. As far as the Origins ending goes...what we do know is that the NO4 went through a teleporter in Origins. After that is up in the air. Sam's new storyline seemed to be going smoothly - a kid named Edward, Maxis alive, and her dog not undead. Why would she or anyone want to change that course of time? The NO4 went somewhere and were given an objective: to stop the original Richtofen in the alternate timeline. Time seemingly froze right at 1:15am and the NO4 where there. Looks like they were already there a few minutes prior to Richtofen doing THE THING. And the quote that Dempsey says to Richtofen is "Dammit Richtofen, I thought we were done with this!", which means they probably could rewrite history in the favor much easily so long as the original Richtofen followed their commands. With him dead, NO4 Richtofen declared that they would create a better tomorrow themselves.
  17. Two per retailer on location...man, what a bummer. While I hope Activision pulls a usual stunt by saying "just kidding here are some more" last second, I've kinda given up on it. In fact, I'll just go make my own Juggernog version as a hobby project. So no loss there.
  18. If a crawler dies out, at least have it re-spawn as a full one that will sprint at you. They actually do die regardless if you're around or not; it's just that they go out faster if a player is too far away from it. A majority of us are story-driven and need more than 30 seconds to fully investigate the map - especially when doing an Easter Egg.
  19. Welcome to the family, friendo! You always start out as a lurker, but evolve into a crawler, and then full-fledged zombie with slayer in the end, eh? Glad to have you on board.
  20. In all seriousness, I don't actually think people are against the concept of buildables - just the unfortunate results of "prototypes". Treyarch came into new territory with them so it's not as if they were going to come out with 10/10 quality builds. Now they know what players liked, what they didn't like, and possible ideas for new buildables created by the community itself. So far, the general consensus revolves around these main points: If a buildable requires another buildable to function, then it's not good. If a buildable hinders your progress throughout the map (i.e. cutting areas off in order to make you use that particular item), then it's not good. If a buildable purposefully friendly-fires/attacks you or your own teammates, then it's not good. If the pieces to a buildable - especially a considerably unimportant, non-EE one - are scattered across the map in various, always-changing locations, then it's not good. If a buildable's sole purpose is to power something or do something that previous maps have already done with simple action commands, then it's not good. If a buildable's parts can be picked up all in one go instead of one part per character, then it's good. If a buildable only has a one-time use throughout the entire game or lacks any true purpose, then it's not good. (Unless the original intent was for a "shits & giggles" moment, I'm all for that too.) If a buildable can be created at any "work station" in a given map, then it's good. I have the utmost faith that Treyarch heard us the first time around. But if they decide to create Trample Steam 2.0, then...we'll see.
  21. If you're playing with someone whose parents are calling for them, you shouldn't be in that lobby in the first place. If you ARE that someone, well...go take another look at the game rating.
  22. Y'all just hating on the lawn mower turret.
  23. Sensitive or not, they'd rather pull any form of a swastika and remove a very minor in-game detail when we know what group we're exactly dealing with than suffer ANY kind of losses. That's just how businesses work; they want to see nothing less of profit and gains in their products. Why risk it and stop entire countries from experiencing your game? And no, it's not exactly stupid to be sensitive about something that people - who are still alive, mind you - experienced as traumatizing events and unfortunately associate the Nazis with those circumstances. But it IS stupid that certain countries are anxious about being associated with anything in the game that was historically terrible. Own up to the history and accept that the past is the past.
  24. Welcome to the family, friendo! You're missing out if you don't own Call of the Dead, y'know? Lots of little secrets in there with an awesome cast of characters...and let's not forget Georgey-poo. Enjoy your stay and hope to see you around!
  25. Welcome to the family, friendo!
