thvoidedline Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Hi all, I, like most of you, am very excited about the new zombie map but am plagued with the uncertainty of it being a tranzit map or not. Because they announced this map has new "buildables" I assume it will be accessible in tranzit mode (either teleport from green run or a standalone tranzit map). Well I was looking through the DLC preview video for clues and I found this: http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/7568/proofoftranzit.png This is a power switch with the same components used in green run. (notably the zombie arm that is hovering well away from the switch, as to indicate it is a part) My only worry is that there is no visible work bench in the vicinity. As others have pointed out this is not proof of tranzit. Edited for clarity.
Caddyman Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 this has been talked about a lot in regards to the power switch as you said this is a theory and it indeed, not, proof....as you indicate in the thread title. :? eta: thank you for changing the thread title, good deal.

Apologies, I hadn't come across this info so I was excited when I found it and wanted to share. The thing that does worry me though is there is no workbench to be found on either side of the switch. I wonder why..
Flammenwerfer Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 You do know that people have had to turn on the power in almost every map before this one, right? You know, without building them? I don't see how this could have at all proven TranZit including Die Rise.

The zombie arm that is hovering above the switch just like in green run is what led me to believe you have to build it. Otherwise I would of thought they'd actually have it attached to the switch like in the older maps.
Stop Mocking Me0 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 My theory is that each tower/sky scraper will have their own switches, none buildable, because it doesn't make much sense for more then one tower to be set up with one power switch logically.... And sense it's in a sweatshop and not a power plant of sorts, I doubt this switch controls the city's power....

Thats true, It wouldn't make much sense for one switch to turn on several buildings' power. I'm hoping that once the power is activated that the elevator will work for that building. Maybe dropping you off at a random floor, charging a fee every time.

Although I agree with the logic that one building's power switch should not power another, I wouldn't put it out of Treyarch's possibilities. After all, in Call of the Dead, a power switch in a separate ship provided power to ships around it AND the lighthouse near it.
EvilPotato Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I thought it was Tranzit even before this. You can see a chopper in the Die Rise amazon logo. I think it will be Tranzit but with helicopters. POSSIBLY! Don't quote me on this lol.
Kill_All_Monkeys Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I still don't get why people think this won't be available in Tranzit. These characters only appear in Tranzit, as do buildables and currently the power switch. This isn't Black Ops, this is Black Ops II.

Blitz Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Evidence strongly points in the direction of this being a new TranZit map. It just makes sense. For Example, Green Run is the complete TranZit map, it is broken down into multiple "Survival" maps. With that said, whenever you are playing Survival, you play as CDC or CIA. You never play as the characters from TranZit. So, Die Rise is going to be the new TranZit map and will be broken down into multiple Survival maps, played as CDC, CIA, or possibly a new group. I'm thinking a new group. Since, America allied with China in campaign mode and the uniforms of the zombies appear to be of campaign style, its quite a possibility you'll play as Troops from either side. Just an Idea. Edit: Within the next couple hours, I'll be posting my Theory on Die Rise. If you interested keep your eyes open for it, I'm sure you'll be intrigued.
