  1. Honestly, I'm not really into resetting anymore. At first I was excited because I wanted to have a good shot at getting a better rank now that I know what I must do to get it, but after discovering all the glitches and how effed up the leaderboards are because of these glitches/exploits, it just doesn't matter anymore. Why should I worry about a broken system? Instead of resetting, I am just focusing on stats game-to-game. So, when I finish a game I do a quick k/d formula. I like to see myself improve and oftentimes I do, so that's satisfactory enough for me. Randoms that scout for high emblems and "judge a book by its cover" can pass me by and that's fine, but once they actually play with me, they see I can hold my own and often carry others. I'm actually beginning to enjoy my simple skull because it doesn't accurately portray my skill level, thus players are pleasantly surprised when they see my actual level of skill. Plus, I feel more experienced because I made mistakes when I first learned the map and it shows.
  2. Instead of fragging myself and losing the setup that I achieved, I would comment to my random players the following: If you plan on quitting, please let me know. I am setup very well and I know I can get to much higher rounds, but I am unsure if I will be able keep everyone else revived while I get there. If you want to achieve high rounds and don't mind spectating, stay tuned, but if you are thinking of quitting due to me not reviving you, just let me know. If they announce they want to quit or I sense that they might by their reactions, it's time to deposit then pre-emptively quit. If they seem to be on board with letting me do my thing and either will try to keep up or just spectate, then I will keep playing. When I first started playing BO:Z, spectating was how I learned to train/kite. It was how I learned which routes were safe and which routes led to disaster, so, in my eyes, it's a very good thing for a new player to spectate a seasoned and skilled player because they will learn a lot.
  3. Our chain is only as strong as our weakest link. Good stuff, btw, I like that bit about CoDZ being good slayers. Ha! It is true. I've confirmed it, numerous times, but you're right. They only spawn in said player's general area, not right next to them.
  4. I'd agree with you, there. Though I understand the one player wanting to be more firmly situated, in the interest of not having the dead players quit, I think it would be better to start the next round as is so they don't have to wait. However, I may adjust this reasoning depending on the skill level of these dead players. If I felt the living player was much more skilled than them, I would want to allow that player more time to be comfortable with his loadout before changing the round. If the new round started and those two dead players were given a chance to get situated, a poor skill/low bank account may just end in them dying again, in which case, the team would regret not giving the more skilled player more time. It comes to a point, I guess where you have to weigh the skill levels of all players against the present circumstances. Is it really fun for unskilled players to watch one or two skilled players carry them to higher levels?
  5. Best practice when using monkey on Town (or any map featuring lava) is to throw them into buildings. In Town, throw into the bar or bank, on NTZ, throw into either house or the cargo container in the center, if you have removed the debris. Generally, I try to avoid throwing monkeys on the open ground in these maps simply because they bounce and might end up in lava...better safe than sorry.
  6. Feed Me - One Click Headshot This song was written for CoD if you ask me, Zombies or MP.
  7. Unfortunately companies do this ALL THE TIME. Anyone ever seen a McDonald's commercial? The burgers looks so perfect, but when you actually order it, it looks nothing like the commercial. This is just advertising and sales. They prey on the emotional responses of buyers, i.e. Whether you really need this product or not, we will try to make it seem as if you MUST have it. Perhaps a better analogy is signing up for a Cable TV or Internet Service Provider. They offer you a great price with premium channels or super fast speeds as a promotional offer, but three months later your bill is much higher because the promotional offer ended, but if my neighbor signs up just then, he'll get the cheap price. We, as consumers, must be aware of the cheap tricks that advertisers use and use intelligence to counter them. In this case, it's easy to see that a map like NTZ was never intended for a small audience, thus the relatively small percentage of people who bought the pre-order/HE would never have justified the amount of time & money the developers spent on NTZ, therefore, it would have to be released to larger audience later at some point. Enter, the season pass. Now the developers can make their money in full and they even have a great way to determine sales strategies in the future by comparing their pre-order sales with other standard sales. This lets them know which advertising strategies work and it's our duty as consumers to tip those scales, after all, our purchases are what make their data. So, if you don't want them to advertise like this in the future, don't buy the pre-order. Do you really think they'd just leave a map on the cutting room floor if only 0.005% of their consumers actually saw it? No. So don't give in. Don't let them trick you into buying prematurely.
  8. This is good information and now a better one about etiquette. The scenario is 2 players are dead with limited funds. You're all setup with your perks, weapon and ammo. The other player that's up has just recovered last round and only has Jugg and a weapon they'd rather not have. This player wants to withdraw funds, gather perks, and PaP a weapon in between rounds. Should this be tolerated? One one hand, it's good to have more than one player setup as you approach higher rounds and giving this player a chance to get setup could be beneficial in the long run, but on the other hand, is it fair to the dead players? After all he does have a huge advantage already with Jugg. Should the dead players be forced to wait in agony or should the slight advantage that the one player has be accepted as it is and he left to fend for himself as the round begins and the other players are given a chance to get setup?
  9. I thinky 3arc is making things more difficult because they are adding things to the maps to try and spice them up. (buildables, new characters, new perks) This is the wrong direction. Yes, players want more to do than just buy guns and perks and train zombies around, but if you throw on a bunch of other stuff for us to do, we don't also need the difficulty raised. Let's focus on fun, 3arc, not on the supreme challenge.
  10. FYI, the Season Pass does not include Nuketown 2025 for MP. So, technically, those who purchased Hardened Edition do have something season pass holders don't. Whether that's good enough for the HE purchasers is a question only said individual can answer.
  11. That has been my experience. Haven't really paid close attention to the round threshold but at some point (I think after round 5) they give 1500 instead of 500, but it may be after round 1. Not sure, but I have yet to see a player starting beyond round 1 gain more than 1500.
  12. Brave man going for Mustang & Sally over Jugg. However, that's not much of an analogy because you had 7k points when you respawned. I would not expect a new player to join with close to that amount of points. Also, though, I didn't even think about this affecting other maps without a bank or fridge. Though, NTZ is much smaller, if 1500 is all that will be given out the new player has no hope of Jugg, only one box spin, or one gun wall. Pretty bleek setup there for higher rounds. Hopefully they will give out 1500 points for every, say, 7 rounds...i.e. after round 14 new players join with 3k, that way they could at least grab Jugg and an M14.
  13. This doesn't make sense with they way the leaderboards are being run, but then again the leaderboards don't make sense generally, so who cares?! I like this for the challenge and if you're storing money into your bank account and good weapons in your fridge, you shouldn't have a problem regardless of what round you start, but you may just need some help from your new-found friends. "Hey! Move your train, I need to get into my bank!" I see this becoming a MAJOR problem for newbs and not-so-skilled players, as starting in later rounds might just lead to them being downed repeatedly until they just quit. Not fun for both ends because even the skilled players, who may not be able to revive them will suffer point loss after they bleed out and for obvious reasons this will aggravate the newb. To me, this is generally a bad idea with the present state of affairs, but given a bit more finesse and a better leaderboard foundation, could be a great idea.
  14. Does this reset bank accounts and EE? I'm tempted to do this, because I feel I could easily raise my k/d with a fresh start, but I don't want to lose EE progress, the bank account would just be a minor annoyance, but EE wipe is a deal breaker. First hand experience, please let us all know what this resets specifically.

  16. This is accurate. It's a 100 point fee for withdrawal of every 1000, therefore 10%, so if you need to withdraw 25k, you'll actually withdraw an additonal 2.5k totaling 27.5k. I played a Local game and put in about 10k, when I returned to an online match expecting at least 20k, I only was able to withdraw 2k. So, definitely the switch to Local affects your online account somehow...Not clear on the actual math as of yet, but I'd just suggest that if you have a large account Online, don't even bother with your Local account, hell...I wouldn't even play Local just out of fear that it could wipe my online account.
  17. Capture The Flag- Much like Grief with two teams of 4. Each team starts around their flag in an area that is wide and clear of debris. There is a central door that divides the two teams' areas. Zombies all spawn from windows on either side of this door and rush towards the players. The zombies would spawn aggressively, immediately fast and numerous and as soon as at least one zombie manages to cross the flag zone, the central door opens giving players access to their opposition's flag to grab and return for a capture. Each side will be granted 2 perks that differ from the opposition's, a mystery box, basic wall weapons (to include the B23R, Olympia, and M14) and 1500 points to begin the match. Players will have about 2 minutes before the door opens and they're swamped with Zombies. When the zombies are killed off on either side the door closes and the round changes, if any opposing players are trapped on their opponent's side when the round changes they will become downed and their teamates must wait until the door opens for a chance to revive them. If they aren't revived, they become a spectator until the match is complete. 3 Successful captures or all players on a team dead ends the match. What would be your strategy? Train/Horde zombies so the opposition can't reach your flag? Lure players over and end the round hoping they won't be revived in time? Rush for the flag and try to get the captures? End rounds quickly so the other team can't handle the hordes? Plenty of options... EDIT: the 2 minutes prior to the door opening is meant as a normal circumstance, not necessarily a rule. The door would be linked to a Zombie breaking some imaginary plane just in front of the team flag. Thus another strategy would be to kill all zombies before they cross the plane, waiting for the other team to actually trigger the door, when your path to their side would be clear and you may have an easy capture, but the opposition could counter this by not killing any zombies, to which you would be running into a huge crowd on their side. The nuances and various strategies to such a mode would make this highly replayable and require strong teamwork and skilled players. It should also be noted that the random initial perks are different from your opposition, so in order to acquire all four you'd have to venture on the other side and risk a down. This would require timing and skill to successfully gain the perks you desire. King of the Hill- Any map will work, but there is a central area that is designated as "The Hill". Players will have access to perks, mystery box, and various wall weapons throughout the map. Doors can be purchased to gain access to other areas and a moving mystery box. Once a player is in "The Hill" for a certain amount of time, he becomes the King of that area. The object here is to hold the area as long as possible. Matches will be timed, say 10 minutes and will start on a typical round 5 for 4 players. If a player leaves the zone for whatever reason, i.e. needs to hit the box, needs ammo, just trains too far out of the area, the zone will become neutral. If a player is downed, they will revive after they bleed out at their initial spawn location and surrender all perks/guns. In a 10 minute game, one down will most likely spell disaster. Some strategies that could be utilized is to amass a huge train and just lead them into "The Hill" in hopes of overloading the "King". A more useful strategy might be to just bide your time, amass points and ignore "The Hill" until the other players all get downed, then, because the rounds are high, try to hold the "The Hill" hoping that the other players won't be able to compete with no firepower. This mode would require a great deal of skill in Training/Hording.
  18. Nice of you to misquote my post and make it out as though I was laughing at the word rape. I'm so sorry if you disagree with my comedic nature, but I'm clearly not laughing at the word, matter of fact, I make a point initially in my post that certain words should be omitted. This is a big grey area, in my eyes. How far must consideration and respect be taken before it's considered censorship? If anyone feels they can adequately put that debate to bed, you should not be spending your time here, but should be campagining for some government office. That's my main point here, though it was not clearly said in my previous post, only hinted at for those with intelligence to read between the lines and see. We're crossing into terrain that is far too serious and controversial. This will only lead to heated debate and arguments. I'd prefer to focus on the entertainment aspects of this game, thus I try to make everyone laugh, as I do with a funny anecdote to changing an offensive and sexist term into another offensive and sexist term just aimed at the opposite sex. Rape Train beocomes Shooting Your Wad...Hahaha.
  19. This is a good idea, but to prohibit players from just running through the map as fast as possible, kills should be awarded to give time bonuses and/or the points you have when you cross the finish line should be factored into a time bonus of sorts, so that whoever crosses the finish line first may not necessarily be the winner, but a combination of time, kills, and/or not spending all of your initial points would determine the match winner.
  20. Although I'm not an advocate of censorship, I agree certain terms can be omitted from play. I am usually weary of using profanity when I'm clearly playing with a minor random, but I love to curse and swear at my Zombies, so I have to remind myself that even the ESRB plainly states on their game ratings that "online interactions are not rated by the ESRB". This basically means parents must be vigilante in what they expose their child to, but isn't Black Ops holding a Mature rating now anyways? I do not use the word rape train, but I do use training/train because 1) Rape Train is widely accepted and 2) you more or less are creating a "Train" of zombies, one behind the other in a nice straight line. However, the straight lines are not as easy in the newer maps, so it more or less becomes a ball or a wad. So, I suggest a new offensive term that is just as sexist, but turns the tables. The Zombies are a Wad and we're going to be "Shooting our Wads" LOL
  21. Which conclusion did I jump to? Oh, you mean that I was agreeing with your points? ...and I'm accused of not reading the entire thread? Tsk, tsk. Bad form.
  22. Don't have time to really elaborate, at work right now, but here are some images I found that note differences: Another: All I know is that the Chinese New Year doesn't fall on the same day as Western culture's New year, thus we need to take such into consideration while making these theories about timelines. EDIT: handy link for dealing with the math of a Chinese Calendar (haven't had time to read it thoroughly) http://www.math.nus.edu.sg/aslaksen/cal ... .shtml#CNY
  23. Though many may call it boosting... Simply have your 3-4 friends ready to go. When you join the Public match for Turned, immediately have them Join your session in progress. If timed correctly you will have 4 players that can cooperate. Just don't kill the human and let them get a kill with each weapon. *The M1911 requires a whole clip into the head without Insta-Kill* For the I See Live People, have the human player toss a monkey bomb and stay still. Attack the invisible air where they were standing as they threw the Monkey Bomb and DO NOT attack the clone/decoy. For the Cymbal Monkey, just use Monkey once, then again as the human player. Ta-Da!!!
  24. I'm not sure that's been proven, but I would think if there is an alternate route, it will be revealed when the final DLC is released and installed. That makes the most sense from a developer standpoint if you don't want people no clipping your map to discover the secrets initially.
  25. That doesn't add up, though. If it's a 10% fee, it would cost 4k to withdraw 40k, thus you would withdraw a total of 44k. 250k - 44k = 206k If he was able to deposit 125k back in, that would make his new total 331k, which is clearly over the 250k limit. Something is not adding up.
