  1. Updated some posts, added launchers and prestige posts. As always, happy gaming!
  2. Prestige and you: This is just some thoughts on Ghosts prestige. In this game, when you max level 60, you prestige. Just like that. This unlocks a Prestige symbol and Prestige background and changes all of your soldiers level-symbols to prestige 1 (or current prestige) symbols. That soldier stays there at '60 maxed' and keeps their stuff. When the next soldier maxes, then you get prestige 2 level-symbols by all of your soldiers (up to 10th). Deep thoughts: Once you prestige your soldier, you tend to ignore that one while working on the others. So you have this one great soldier basically sitting on the sidelines, because playing him/her will be a waste of xp that you could be earning for other soldiers. It's not the end of the world, but imperfect. So my solution to you for maximum soldier enjoyment is to get each of your initial 6 soldiers to about level 30. By then, you have unlocked focus and many other good perks by level, and probably have had enough to purchase the other necessary (to you) perks for your soldiers. But now, all of them are still playable, not pseudo-locked-out by being max prestige. Then work each soldier up 10 levels at a time until each reaches '61ish'. This method will also make it easier to have an effective Squad, should you care about that aspect.
  3. Using launchers: i won't get into every gun as there is a ton of information and opinions out there that are probably better informed than I. But I will talk about the 'fun' stuff, like launchers: Kastet: 3 sp to unlock. Remember the Thumper? This is a 2 shot (1 chamber/1 reserve) grenade launcher. The shots must travel a certain distance before contact or they won't explode. Up close, works as a 1 hit kill shotgun. It's low profile won't make you easier to see. It has a fast movement rate. Decent secondary for any class, staple for Danger Close class. Easily the best of the launchers. Best to aim at their feet or watch an area with a wall behind it and shoot the wall when enemies come near. Panzerfaust: 7 sp to unlock. This gives 2 rockets (1 chamber/1 reserve) that fly vaguely where you aim them. This is large, slow, and adds some bulk and height to your soldier. This is for fun kills. It has very little 'pro' value. Note that if fired at an enemies feet, it may level out, pass between their legs and fly away harmlessly. Use carefully for swag kills or to shoot down enemy aircraft. Since it is free fired, it is not affected by the flares of the heli, for a lucky heli downing. Field orders will fill the reserve to 2 rockets. MK32: 9 sp to unlock. This has 6 Semtex in the chamber, none in reserve (reserve 6 filled by field order completion), fires 2 at a time; 1, vaguely where you aimed, 1 higher than that. This is not very accurate and the time that the Semtex takes to launch and explode usually gives you plenty of time to be dead by then. Best use is while camping with danger close explosives inside; if the enemy gets in, start firing these around the vicinity to pick up a kill or two after death. You can usually get off two shots, for 4 Semtex, so be sure to plan the areas to Semtex so the room won't be safe, hopefully not actually getting killed, but expect death when using this. For more proactive use, try to aim the first shot in front of the enemy as the other will go high, hopefully sandwiching the enemy between shots. Danger Close is practically needed. Use for fun kills, no real 'pro' value. Moderate movement rate, adds some width to your soldiers back, making him easier to see if prone. Up close, be sure to aim well so they are stuck. If you miss, the enemy will simply run off before they explode. With all of these: having a high perch so that you can shoot at their feet works best. Next best option is watching an area with a wall behind it so that you can shoot the wall and still kill them with the explosion, without having to land the shot on the actual player as there is no room for error. I recommend danger close with all of them, especially the last two, but the Kastet is a decent secondary on many classes. Sleight of hand should be considered for maximum effectiveness, but not necessary. Reflex is another consideration. Remember that, if you held this as you died, you can pick up dropped ammo from your death location (unless someone picked it up). True for any weapon in game, including underbarrel attachments.
  4. Came across another 'ungettable' f.o. Whiteout: I love to snipe off of the boat crane by the pier, but i notice an enemy up there. So i go to the window (with glass) just below him in the building. I look up at him, raise my thermal sniper...and he's gone. Drop the scope...he's back. So i brought up the scope and aimed and fired at nothing, for the kill. Apparently you can't see people through the thermal, through the window. I wonder if other Scopes have this issue... Flinch...always sucks. so the guy reloading in the corner is making me flinch? That makes sense (not really). But ghosts takes it to a new level: you no longer talk to the host xbox and other players xbox in a fight, now it's just the fight winner and the host, so: i shoot the mk32 (Semtex spitter) at an enemy, get 'stuck' and a hitmarker, he kills me in the interim time it takes the Semtex to explode...and in the killcam I flinched and fired the two shots over his head... Fail mode activated. They really need some back up, so kills stop getting lost and killcams like this never happen. Related to last: i need some eyes on this; i feel that they actually removed the 'air trails' in the killcams with this last patch, so you no longer see how ridiculously far off the killcams are. The reason is this: i noticed that since the patch all of my kastet trails never appear in killcams and it isn't lag because the killcam goes past the point where i shot, but doesn't show the trails that were always so prominent (and far off from what happened). (xbox360).
  5. Double xp f2.21, s2.22, s2.23. Odd note: if you play safeguard, the soldier that you were previously using will gain xp, even though you use a default class in the game mode. No xp in private matches.
  6. This is a discussion thread of ghosts being weird. All games glitch out and while it can be frustrating, in the long run it makes for cool stories bro. Feel free to post any strangeness encountered, maybe we can help people avoid some. Watch out for cp grenades: they can fall through the map or get stuck for minutes at a time between stuff, then suddenly get unstuck and your cp flies in. They often land some distance from where you call them in, so be sure to give them plenty of room. They will land on top of palm trees. If you die while calling it in, you will always spawn at the furthest spawn point from it in the map. Fixed glitch: if you laid in your spawn, your team would only spawn by you. Knife: start of a game, i combat-knife stab a guy, throw him to the ground; assist. 0k 0d 1a. Really game? Playing tdm freight yesterday, i stab a guy (got this kill) and then die. The killcam shows the guy i stabbed shooting me for a gun/knife tie. Once, mw3 i think, i had the only bullet tie that I've seen. Field orders: 3 times now i could not pick up fo, the third time it eventually let me pick it up (note that if you have field orders you can't pick up another, that isn't a glitch). Once i hit a death barrier where the fo was (on Flooded). I killed a guy who dropped fo, ran into fo, died. Killcam showed the fo as i ran into it, kill feed called it suicide, so why did i even get a killcam? I've been shot by hinds through buildings in ghosts (extremely common bo1 glitch, but what didn't glitch in bo1?/trash game). Field orders: used to frequently fail to give squad points or they would show up way late, once common, i haven't seen this since the patch, so i guess it was patched. FO; get kill with secondary weapon: kill a guy with my kastet, didn't give me completion. So I dc tube another guy, direct impact...assist. Wow, really? And...picked up guns off of the ground don't count as your secondary. Fu game, f.u. I don't recall each glitch, but probably 5-7 times i have completed them and the game didn't count it. A few times on melee kills it failed. Lost track of kill count: common cod bug; there are calculators in this house from the 60's that can add +1 with ease, so why do modern gaming consoles fail at this easy task? Example (like you need one for this common bug): playing Stormfront as sniper (no hardline). I hit 7-0, get a sentry gun. I run to the south west end of the road, set it down, run back up into the sw building, upstairs to snipe some more in that white hall. A teammate runs through with his dog. An enemy comes up the right steps, kills my teammate, i look in time to see the dog get killed, land the kill (core-screen says +100 best friend-etta) and I'm still 7-0. I loved theater in cod so you could go back and watch these again. I assume that's one of the reasons it's gone: showcases the sloppy programming. Hackers: bo2 and ghosts. I just wanted to laugh at this point: bo2 obviously had hackers. As an avid theater watcher, i would often double check to make sure. But nobody really cared (many lived in denial-no hackers in bo, it has theater, derp) because you ran into them, backed out and in seconds were in another match and they were forgotten. Now in ghosts, you run into hacker, leave, put back in same match, renew anger at hacker, leave, repeat 5-8 times because of ghosts retarded netcode keeps putting you in the same match, report hacker... So despite no theater, it is actually worse for the hackers. Play squad assault to find how many people are max prestige on all soldiers, all with ghillie suits...yeah. Hacked Game is hacked. For the record, i don't really care nor report any who paid to be prestiged. I just hate the ones who cheat during games. I'm sure a round of bannings will come.
  7. I think it is the Nightfall map design, keeping players together, so then it goes smoother. I've had a few agree that Nightfall is easier and a few veteran players say poc was easier. I guess it's a personal thing. I have almost beaten poc solo, i can't get past the first breeder in solo nf. So my solo opinion is that nf is harder. Unrelated: I'll take plush aliens over exploding snowmen any day. :)
  8. Hi soldiers. Don't you hate watching your best classes lose terribly as bots? No worries, 83457 is here to help your squad win on their own. Things to know: bots don't really take advantage of many perks that humans do. Bots instantly know where another team bot died. They are amazing at long/medium range, usually tripped up at short, unless within stab range. Your bots will be piloted by a mix of difficulty; out of 6, i think 1 is a veteran bot (random), 2 hardened, 2 regular, 1 recruit (or possibly 1v, 1h, 2 reg, 2 rec). So the veteran bot will always beast, recruit bots, not so much. So your one great class may be piloted by a recruit bot that can't effectively use your class. Edit: if you throw a 9-bang at enemy bots, your bots will suddenly know where the affected bots are and will go after them. Here is the best classes for all bots that I've made so far. With the update allowing up to 10 classes per soldier, it should be easy to leave one dedicated bot class. Go to Squad Assault> create soldier> pick soldier> then hit the start button while you have the class that you want the bot to play as. A symbol will appear next to that class. This will be the dedicated bot class. Repeat for each soldier. Winning bot class: using this, my bots are winning most games that they play on their own (folk playing squad assault, mine randomly chosen). Of course, any beast human player will simply win versus bots. That is just the fact of the situation. Edit: i keep trying to tweek these classes, so some information will change. Here are some updates that may be different than what is posted below: bots always run around, so I've been using Ready Up. The more stuff they have, the more they can screw up, so I've been using primary, lethal only, no secondary, no tactical. I suggest here the sc-2010 because it is quite good and already unlocked for each character, so only 7 sp per character is needed to buy the grip and silencer. That being said, the bots seem deadliest with the Remington R5 (no surprise) and the sa-805, so if you have one of those available for each soldier, try that instead. You can stick with my silenced approach or use grip/muzzle break to maximize damage potential instead. tried throwing knives, but only the hardened/veteran bots do well with them. Current class: Remington R5/grip/thermal, I.E.D., ready up, resilience, focus, dead silence, hardline, sleight of hand, dog, sentry gun, hind. The sentry guns occasionally get placed stupidly, but these are the killstreaks that are used fairly well by the bots. The throwing knives didn't work well except for the veteran bots, the ieds pull in more reliable kills. If you often challenge a friend whose bots get killstreaks going, swap hardline for blind eye. With this set up, usually only one of my bots goes negative in tdm. I usually best the other team 50 to <30. Note that dog only as killstreak will not count towards the next dog, only your kills will. Original class: Primary: sc-2010. Great gun, already unlocked for each soldier. Use any of the good assault rifles. Avoid bright camos. Bots don't need a sight. Grip: reduced recoil. Silencer: frustrates human. Bots don't know where your shooting from unless they see you. Lethal: ied (will be randomly thrown somewhere, but often effective), Semtex. TK only works if a good bot gets it. Tactical: concussion or 9 bang. 9 bangs are great against bots even though they suck versus humans. Your bots will even smartly use them against enemy electronics sometimes. Edit: they do take some time to use though. Edit: Recently i have been skipping the tactical and extra tac perk. Resilence and Strong-arm are good fillers, especially if using the tk lethal. Killstreak: dog, sentry gun, hind. All useful, all bot friendly usage. They have real issues with setting down sat-coms, so skip that. Their trinity use is unsuccessful. Perks: Takedown: enemy bots don't know where their teammates died. Frustrates human. Dead Silence: frustrates human, lowers chance of enemy bot noticing your bot behind it. Focus: helps with the bots amazing long-range skills, reduces flinch to win more even battles. Extra Lethal: ieds; double the chances for random kills or Semtex use (bots have a decent use of Semtex). Alternately, use Reflex in this slot. Hardline: dog at 4 kills. Since only dog chosen, the dog should help build towards next dog, for constant dogs. On perks: dead silence and extra lethal are the most replaceable perks. Reflex, or using strong-arm, resilience, or extra tactical combos could replace them. Obviously some of you may not have the required perks unlocked, in that case use ones that will keep them alive, as opposed to improving their gun skills, which don't work well. Tac resist, blast shield, incog, off the grid, dead eye would all do better than quick draw, stalker, ready up. I have 1 off soldier with no silencer (yet), Danger close/kastet. He will eventually be another clone. Note that he can't get ammo from the guys with silencers. That's why you want the exact same guns/camos. Good luck! There is a ton to say, I'll try to add pertinent information as it occurs to me. Try these dedicated bot classes and let me know if they do a better job. Obviously, pick a real class for yourself as these aren't great for human use. Avoid: stalker, agility, smgs/shotguns for bots. Avoid multiple weapons or complicated use items. Avoid ammo crate as they will often use the gun they get, no matter how bad. By all having the same gun, you avoid a need for scavenger/fully-loaded perks as they will run similar paths and end up picking up dropped ammo from the other bots with the same gun that died. If empty, they will pick up an enemy gun. Choose a decent map of moderate size. They will do worse on Strikezone than Stormfront. Avoid Octane for HQ as it gives the enemy human (with rare exceptions) the free cp in the center of the map. Also, small maps give the human a better chance to beast, larger maps are easier for the bots with their long-range potential. Avoid objective HQ modes as the team with the human will be advantaged. Especially avoid Frieght in objective modes as the human can close doors to make it harder for your bots. Bots do fairly well at Blitz, but again, avoid Freight. More maps stuff: only the human will get/use field orders, so avoid hq maps with killstreaks that are detrimental to your bots. Avoid hq maps like Ignition where the test rocket will kill them because they are stupid, and the special killstreak can be bad as they might walk right into the fire. Fog; bots love to walk into the pit by the satanic altar, you have 6 bots, the enemy playing your Fog hq will have 5 (and a human), which means that you have an almost 17% greater chance of bot pit-death if that's your hq. I use Stormfront, because it gives the bots an advantage over the lone human, reducing his viability in the match while having no special killstreaks for him to take advantage. Edit: Current map: Pharoah, which is risky, given the free care package. But since they must move around the whole map to get it, my bots have a chance. I just like to let other bot lovers play the new maps. (Mutiny got my bots slaughtered, they've won games on their own in Pharoah). Bots don't breach or use doors/train/ et cetera (the safeguard bots do occasionally breach). Edit: bots breach on Octane; the care package container, and the 2 roof breaches. As far as i can recall, they have never breached in any other map (unless safe guard). Edit: If you play against a squad with lots of level 1 bots, most likely that means that they are still default classes. The default bots to be wary of are the one with the Vector if you run into it up close, and the one with the lmg as he will camp somewhere. If a veteran bot gets the lmg guy and a good location, it may give you some trouble. A bot with an lmg will always sit somewhere and camp. For most bots, this is not a great strategy, but it can catch you off guard by being the only bot not moving around the map. Edit: a different take that seems feasible; pick a giant map like Stonehaven. Give all of your bots focus and an lmg. They will sit somewhere and camp with long views. This is actually a rather effective use of bots.
  9. Not for everyone. But it's a moot point as it's gonna happen. Happy trolling!
  10. Didn't mean to hate on the youngsters. Some good young folk out there, but also plenty of the trolls are kids who get off on being assholes. It's a phase that most go through that i don't want to deal with in an M rated game. I don't want to play COD:Babysitter.
  11. Thanks. I know it's a game, but play nice. I was just 13-0 on prison break sitting on the fence. I call in maniac. I watch a teammate running at my marker. It lands, i run over, he runs in front of me, blocks me, we both die. I leave the game at 13-1, again. FU trollmate. At least he died first.
  12. Ah nice. I put a sentry gun down. The enemies call in a hind. My trollmate runs over by my sentry gun so that when the hind unloads on him, it kills my sentry gun. He just tried to hide behind it or something. I just left the match...
  13. Added some tidbits. Check out the awesome/difficult sniper tree i added to Prison Break.
  14. It's not the games fault, but this is why I have trouble getting obsessed with Extinction. 4 years, I worked at peoples homes and saw the mindless masses in their lairs, 4 years I managed a pizzeria, and dealt with what i thought was the dregs of humanity. Then, for over a decade, i worked retail in a RadioShat, where the absolute bottom-feeders of humanity sludged through the door with their endless waves of idiocy. So playing zombies was therapy. It was like retail, but you killed the mindless masses. Therapy. Gta? Running folk over, shooting them for fun? Therapy. CoD? Angrily blowing the crap out of people that are pissing me off? Therapy. Twisted Metal worked because of our societies addiction to cars. Plenty of road rage therapy. But Extinction? It gives me comradery and the joy of a completed job, but it's not therapy. I don't hate the squeaky iguanas. I don't hate the giant crab nor the flowers. Granted, the scorpions are annoying enough to generate the right hatred, but it's just not enough. Gimme Bordomlands1, or Waw or waw zombies, where the bits fly as the therapeutic session ensues. Killing some flowers and lizards isn't therapy. Anyone else understand?
  15. I would like to say i hate oma, because it is broken, but i would be lying. I loved that broken perk. But it should never have been. What i really, really hate about mw2? The fact that it was followed by bo1, the worst call of duty ever (though i liked zombies and the bots). Going from the awesome of mw2 to the uber-fail of bo1 was sickening. I'm still surprised that Trollarch was allowed to make more cods after that. The only good thing to come from bo1 mp was that it kept mw3 from being the worst cod ever.
  16. I was opining that jugger drops first in solo games, which i usually play. Not a big deal if playing with 4 people.
  17. It was much, much better. But it takes more processing power, more programming, and some countries get whiny about gore levels in games. Look at the fail-game borderlands2; besides making the game crappy on so many levels, they nerfed the gore for a couple of countries that try to limit that. Edit: i swore that i was in a ghosts tdm lobby with LiL TS 420 this week. I only remembered/noticed the name because my initials first and last are TS.
  18. 1. Do not be within an explosions radius of another teammate. Always maintain distance. Stop giving up double kills to the enemy. After the first 10 seconds of the game, you should never be by other teammates. Example: game starts, troll keeps running into me. I stop, wait for him to get some distance, i go 90° left. Within seconds, trolly is back, running into me. Don't run with your teammates unless you are a clan/party and you know what you are doing. Following me because i went 19-2 last game won't make you better, it will just get us both killed. Edit: I'm talking tdm, never is there a reason to be blast-radius-near a teammate after spawn. Obvs, in many objective modes you will get the unavoidable clumping of players. Try to avoid it as much as possible if you can. 2. The snipers Blind Eye perk won't protect you if you go sit by him when a hind is in the air. You will just get him killed. Leave your sniper to himself in general. I have trollmates run over by me (in my sniper perks) to hide from a missile, or just sit next to me, firing unsilenced weapons. Example: on Whiteout, I'm sitting on the roof in the fisheries section, our team is getting romped, an enemy Hind in the air. I watch this trollmate walk all the way down the road, and comes to sit under my roof without blind eye. Got us both killed. Either trolled on purpose or a complete idiot. 3. You can't be seen through. So don't walk up to the teammate looking out of a vantage point and stand in front of him. I can't tell you how many times people just walk up and stand in front of me. Edit: i stand back a few feet from windows so my gun won't be seen pointing out and it will reduce the angles that i can be seen from the sides. It was not an invitation for you to stand in that opening between me and the window. 4. If you don't know how that guy got into that cool spot, google it or send them a message. Most likely they have you muted. Example: I'm on top of the door in Flooded, just before the enemy got a triple kill, i realized that two trollmates were jumping up and down at my feet, trying to get on the door with me. This violated every rule so far. 5. Don't put your explosives by someone else's. One triggers the other and may give the enemy kills. 6. Put your ammo crate somewhere inconspicuous, near, but not right next to, teammates. The box can be seen by Sit Rep and may give their position away. Placing it where they can watch it is better. Same with many rewards. 7. Watch teammates, even randoms, that call in a c.p. These can swing the game and having the entire team run away as you call in a Maniac is potentially bad for the whole team if it gets stolen. C.p.s are a magnet for enemies. Watching the guy call one in will probably net you an easy kill or two. And if he dies, the reward is potentially yours. Just don't try to steal it as he is getting it, because that will just give up a double kill to the enemy. Example: i actually had two teammates trying to steal my c.p., rather than protect me. We all died when the enemies came. It was unbelievable. If i die, by all means, take my crate. If I'm there, be a teammate, not a troll. 8. Not 18? Don't play the game. Until you are not a whiney self-absorbed adolescent, you will never truly understand how annoying you are. At least don't wear a Mic. 9. Unless in a clan or party or actually planning on doing intelligent call-outs, don't wear a Mic. Most will mute you anyway. The rest don't need to hear you whining about how much of a rip-off cod is; we are all well aware of that fact. Extremely common example: kid gets into lobby, clearly the symbols show that nobody has a mic, yet the kid keeps going 'anyone got a Mic on, hello? Helloooo!? Anyone got a Mic?'. Yes, some of you are that stupid. Anyone want to add a point or simply tell horror stories of trollmates, feel free. Happy gaming!
  19. Unless they changed it recently, this does still work. Just there is no reason to do it. Buying a few and getting a few free is easy. What i have proposed is silly, but doable. Every tb resets the witches back to 'give up perk bottle' everybody does it twice already, I'm just saying how to keep doing it until you get all 7 for 'free'. Edit: everyone does it twice because of 1 tb. The trick is to not kill the witches the second time, after the first tb. Just lead them to town to be babysat instead. Then you do the candy/big guy/bank drop trick until you get max ammo (and therefor another tb). Drop the tb, kill the witches, use tb. Now you are up 2 perks, and still have the original witches after you. Now repeat the babysit/ bank trick for another max ammo. And just keep doing that. So, again, unless there was a patch in Dec or Jan...this works.
  20. Egg hunt information added to the onslaught dlc maps.
  21. I've played some 'cranked' as well. It is pretty cool in that there is no real camping. You go and her kills or you explode. Getting kills makes you run fast. I can see why this was a hit with some people.
  22. Bo1 had the worst mp by far of any cod. Awful maps, guns, perks, everything about bo1 sucked, except zombies. Oh that was trash. I still get mad that cod could go from the awesomeness of waw into mw2 then into total garbage that was bo1. Simply nauseating. Edit: Sorry Stop, that's my knee-jerk reaction to bo1. Didn't mean to be rude... I hate that cod passionately.
  23. When fighting the last one, stay behind that low wall by the building. It makes it easy. The weapon x aims weird and does in a lob. It well take out one of the 'regeneration flower pods' in one shot. Nightfall is much easier than point of contact overall, unless solo.
  24. Onslaught DLC Map: Ignition (Scrapyard remake): this is a rocket facility or nearby test center. Actionable item: in the building on the west side is a panel with a blinking red light and accompanying beeps. If you approach it you will be prompted to 'Hold X to Initiate Rocket Test' which will fire up a horizontal rocket engine in the room. This can kill. Unlikely versus humans, but bots have no qualms about painful burning death and will walk right into it often. Special killstreak: (name?) Activates the large rocket engine above the middle of the map. Note that this is deadly to any in the flames and that the flames are channeled by the tunnels below, making them unsafe during this brief period. Time it well... Dynamic map environs: after about a minute of game time, the large red-digit clock in the north east begins a 1 minute countdown. During the last 20 seconds, you will hear voices over the loudspeakers. The large rocket (off map in ne) will launch and be struck by a missile. 2 sections will become parts of the middle of the map, a third will fall near the rocket test building, allowing you to climb the middle building. If you are in these locations at the time, you will die. This will also explode a gas tank by the eastern edge of the map, also lethal. Note that you can shoot this tank to cause it to explode as well. Unlike the original map, which you could climb over every plane part, this version is extremely restrictive. Start middle south, in the crawler. Note the ladder and stairs leading to sniper lofts. By the middle north exit; get on the edge of the grey container between the white panels (little southern edge), get on the one above it. Then (really hard), face west (aim at the NW corner of the crate that you are on), back up to the SE edge of the container, run forward a foot, jump right so that you land on the white panel to your right (north). Jump slightly south to the other panel while pushed as west as possible. You can shoot over the higher northern panel or; Face the northern, higher panel, jump on it. Then turn around and jump up to the giant shock absorber bracket (you land on the bolts, squat and move into the corner). Snipe from there. Head north to the burning/smoking rectangular thing that feel from the sky. Climb the north side, jump east onto the building. From here, run south, jump onto the brown boxes. These can be sniped from. From the roof you were on, you can jump to the west side of the building to the east. You will be on a tiny ledge, walk north to the campy corner. Go to the northernmost building, go inside. First floor, walk up to the northern glass. Note the terribly done 'ODIN' reflection, the N is all wrong. Note that it creepily follows you as you walk along it. I think its supposed to be a reflection of the Odin symbol on the floor, but again, it's f'd up. Happy DLC'ing! Egg hunt: in the map, in the northeasternmost underground tunnel is a large clump of Cryptid eggs. Safeguard note: the tall ladder in the crawler is removed in this mode. The northern 'odin command' building is decent for holding down; they usually just come in the middle front door and the one by the steps. I've actually won it just east of this building, occasionally using the building for cover.
  25. Onslaught DLC Map: Fog: this is a horror movie cliche map. It has one breachable cave and a special killstreak for doing the Field Orders; you will call in a modified 'Maniac' killstreak, only you will be Michael Myers, replete with mask and axe. There is also a nice satanic altar, a sacrificial lamb, and plenty of bones, blood, and horror ambiance. Northern tip; this is the remains of a bridge. You can get off to either side a little to call in user controlled killstreaks or possibly camp. Head directly south into a cave, note the pit on your right to fall into and die. It also has a little cryptid off to one side (egg hunt). You can jump over it using the protruding log (or simply walk around it). Note the sacrificial lamb and satanic altar. Follow the blood trail west until it ends, hug the left wall and head east until next to the giant tree by the porch. Go up to the tree, from the side opposite the porch. Get on it. You can walk to the porch roof, but don't. Do walk most of the way there, turn around to face the center area of the tree. From here, you can jump right onto a branch, then jump right again onto a higher one for a fairly high view. Or you can jump left onto a branch. Now get on the porch roof. Go in the broken section, go down and left. You should see a blood spot on the floor and a breachable floor-door. Breach it (when you breach this, it often explodes early, stunning you. Whether a glitch or a purposeful 'scare', i can't say). Go down the bloody cave and out. Notice where the other end is as you can breach it there as well (where you first hear the crickets/frogs). Go back through the cave to the house, make a left, go outside. There is a boat by the water. Get on the rock by the tree. Get against the tree for a semi hidden spot. Go east along the edge of the map, pass the cabin (by the breached cave), into the water. Note the algae growth can pseudo-hide you if you lie down or can effectively hide i.e.d.s. Head north west until you return to the bridge remains, where we started. See the tree and cabin remains slightly south? Get on the hill south of the remains, jump onto the broken slats. Get closer to tree for a semi hidden spot. Go north to the edge, head west to the rock. Note the extra ledge of rock to lie hidden on for user controlled killstreak use. Just south of here is another giant tree, while it can't be climbed, be wary of campers/snipers lurking at its base. Continue south to the house. Note that you can climb the low roof, into the upstairs. Plenty of corner camps, plenty of window views. Egg hunt: as mentioned above, it is in the wall of the pit in the caves, by the Satanic altar.
