  1. In the thread 'broken map is more broken', people are discussing that Trollarch seems to have really messed the game up, trying to stop this glitch. It did work, but now the map is completely broken and it doesn't work. They should have left it alone, the game is 1.5 years past release...so, now what are the chances they'll fix this? Let's check their track record: If it's fun, they get rid of it. If it breaks the game, they ignore it. Hmmm, looks like it'll stay broken.

    Safeguard Game Mode

    I added this to the 'things this thread needs' post, but i also am making a new post to draw attention to it. Gun + Support Drop crate of same gun = varying results on stun/ied stash, why? Originally, getting the same gun from an SD upped the level, filled ammo, gave max stun and ied. Then, it gave level, ammo, stuns, and ieds minus any ieds i had on ground. For weeks now, it gave no stuns, ieds ever. Last gaming session, it gave max stuns and ieds. 1. Not ammo crates, but sd gun of same gun in hand. 2. Is it tied to the gun type? Like iar gives stuns/ieds, but the vepr didn't. Did they randomly forget to change it on a couple of guns? 3. Random glitch? Sometimes one result, sometimes another. 4. Depends on round? Higher rounds give stun/ieds? 5. Glitch. Picked up iar (with iar as secondary) while holding Wild Widow... Anyone know why these results vary? Is there a reason that I'm missing? Edit: last gaming session; barely used mtar, used: iar, wild widow, vepr all night. All credited games, no private. Some regular safeguard, some devastation playlist safeguard (in case that matters). So, these are the same guns that I've used for months, so that rules out the 'depends on gun' scenario. Thanks. Edit: needs more testing, but it may be; (edited once so far) 1=gun/few mags, 2=level up, ammo full, 3=level up, ammo, 2 stuns, 4=level, ammo, 2 stuns, 2 I.E.D.s minus any on the ground currently (otherwise it may be 4 gives 1 ied, 5 gives 2...still researching possibilities). Nope, still getting varying results... More testing...

  5. Brain Dump Thread: @NN, feel free to copy+paste/ignore/correct whatever you want in this post. I will add to and correct as i go. Edit: corrections made as i find out. Thanks Lead_Psychopath, for some. --- In game you will earn money (points) by killing cryptids, destroying hives, (revive players, destroy doors, what else?) Which you can use to purchase items to help you in game. Normally, you may carry a maximum of $6000. Try to spend some before you max out to not waste points. On screen, you will have a D-pad display with your chosen Loadout items on it; before the game, you will go to Loadout and pick 1 item from each of these 4 categories; Ammo Type, Team Support, Strike Package, Equalizer, as well as picking your Class and Pistol Type. Class types, pistols, Loadout items are all described in the Loadout Menu, but the prices are not. Loadout Purchases; Ammo Type/Cost. Up on D-pad. Ammo 1250 Stun 1000 Incendiary 1200 Explosive 1250 Piercing 1100 Team Support/Cost. Down on D-pad. Explosives 800 Feral 800 Armor 1000 Booster 700 Random 900 Strike Package/Cost. Right on D-pad. I.M.S. 1250 Mortar Strike 1500 Trinity Rocket 1300 Sentry Gun 2000 Vulture 2200 Equalizer/Cost. Left on D-pad. Portable Turret 1100 Grenade Turret 1000 Crowd Control 700 MK32 Launcher 2000 Death Machine 2200 More to come. I just really wanted this information... --- Hunter: 200 (?), 300 critical kill. The 300 was critical for sure, due to the orange hitmarker. I thought the 200 kill was to his face side plate, but cod games aren't real accurate and maybe that was a side kill for a regular kill? Then 100 would probably be the armor/assist? Presumably, 300 then on a Scorpion critical shot as well. --- Drill: the drill is what you set down to destroy most hives. In Mayday, it also cuts through some doors. The spots are marked with an orange 'Destroy' symbol that you will see when holding the drill. Doors will be white symbols with 'Door' printed on them while holding the drill. The drill will appear to have a blueish outline and a blue symbol that says 'Drill', when nobody is holding it. The drill has a meter in the upper left corner while it is drilling. This downward-pointing meter shows how far along the drill is by filling up from top to bottom as it goes. Just before it ends, there will be some clicking sounds, followed by a high pitched whine for the last few seconds of drilling. Next to this meter it will show a number. This is the health of the drill. The drill starts as a blue line, but will go green, yellow, red as it gets damaged (is this color scheme correct?). It starts at 100 health, 125 if set by Engineer class. I believe that it needs repair at 75 health and if it should reach 0 health, you lose the game. Medic or a player with a skill point in pistol, pistol in hand, move the drill fastest. Remember to have the Engineer set it at the drill spot though. I think that's it for the drill information. ---
  6. I'm not 100% sure on numbers, but it seems to vary how you hit them and relics. Not sure if hard core affects score. Like Scout: 30 for regular hitmarker kill, 60 for red (orange?) Hitmarker kill. (60 = 45 with 'earn and carry less cash' relic). I think it is 30 for trap kills also. Edit: these numbers are apparently wrong, i was trying to get the idea across. Something like that. I'll try to gather and brain dump what i can.

    Safeguard Game Mode

    Feedback on explosives cheat/no hands glitch. I'm just trying to figure this out. There was a cheat where you held a sentry gun out as your minigun timed out, which would then give you explosive ammo on all of your guns, presumably until the next minigun went away, unless you repeated the cheat. Well, they patched it, which is theoretically good. Immediately after, i tried it 3 times (offline). The first time, it worked. The next 2 left me with a no-hands glitch. I'm fine with anti-cheats except that this happened to me about 5 times by accident; just pulled out a sentry at the wrong time, just trying to play legitimately. You end up with the little remote in your hand, clicking away, unable to get packages or fire guns. Yesterday, we were playing credited 2 man games. But after a recent playlist update, Stonehaven had not been seen on Safeguard in days. So we played a private match on Stonehaven. The reason i point this out is that I'm not sure if this was a credited game or one of the private games, but; my friend is holding out a sentry, i notice the 'explosive ammo symbol' goes away. I think 'oh crap, he will get the no hands glitch' (he wasn't trying to cheat, he is oblivious). But instead, when he set the sentry down, it brought up the minigun, although it had timed out, then immediately switched to a regular gun, no explosive glitch, no 'no-hands' glitch. So I'm just putting this out there to point out either 1. There are various outcomes to this scenario, or 2. They properly hotfixed this to work correctly. Hopefully the latter... Edit: follow up; i accidentally did it again and i got the same result as my friend; it switched to minigun, then to regular gun, no glitches. So hopefully that means it is correctly hotpatched (unless this was in the update last weekish).

    Do keys respawn?

    Hmm. I did some testing. Currently, there always seems to be 4 keys solo and they seem to respawn, but I'm not sure at what rate. Every time that i went there, there were several, i would take one, send the elevator back up, then grab another. I don't know if that varies in mp or custom games. Edit: actually, since it was Die Rise, i may have been playing custom, not solo. I play solo if the map changes for solo, like origins first generator giving x2 instead of ZB. So, in Die Rise, where solo is no different, i would normally play custom so a friend could join if they got on. So, most likely this was a custom game that i played.
  9. That's a different take that i have not heard before, kudos. After they patched the gk room, so that zombies drop from above. That didn't really make that area unplayable; look at the gk room from the ledge just outside of it. Go into the right corner by the door while still on the ledge. You are practically untouchable. It looks scary as there will always be zombies in your grill, but they don't get you as long as you Sliq the area. You even slide to, but stop at, the edge of the ledge, you don't fall off. Just like the original gk room, the biggest issue is the jumping jerks; use trample steams and Claymores. Just fyi, when i did 61 rounds in the gk room, i didn't even have a trample steam, so claymores can definitely be enough with proper placement.
  10. It is possible that they did a balance tweak. But when i used to play poc with friends, tank was not as strong as he was in solo games. I was shocked the first time that i put a point in tank and he couldn't kill scouts. Edit: title in first post says 'AMZING'. And please keep working on this thread. We need one of these for sure.
  11. Hmm. Trollarch did the wii port for Ghosts, right? Maybe a little ghosts dlc zombies? Yeah, I'm just dreaming. But Stonehaven zombies would be fun. Frankly, i don't think ghosts is glitchy enough or badly programmed enough for Trollarch's tastes. On possession: john's cat. Ross' cat. It looks like 'john is' but if it ends in s, just add the apostrophe.

  13. Not the 440 big block, noooo-cryptids. Sorry, had to laugh at the motor strike. I was just gonna say that i have had pretty good use out of sentries. I find that the game design works well with them. Shrug, just my 2 cents. I do trust your thoughts on the game mode though, given your experience. Thanks for posting tips and stuff as i am trying this out a little more.
  14. Did this change or are you talking solo/casual? If tank solo, 1 upgrade means that you can 1 hit kill scouts. In 2+ players, it needs to be built up all the way (?) to kill scouts, right? We really do need an info thread on this site (and the code.com site appears dead and also lacking info) for xtincy. I'll gladly gather info and brain-dump all over any info thread, but I'm not great at organization...
  15. Thanks fur the feedback as i don't really know what I'm doing. The pistol relic actually helped by getting rid of the other gun challenges, which saves money. A lot of folk suggest the auto pistol. I was surprised at how well i could do using the magnum, it is easier than expected.

  17. Yeah. To be clear, before you get them, you can only see them in afterlife mode. You will see them as they are retrieved. Congrats on the 34. Edit: i changed the writing on my last post, as it was fairly unclear. Sorry about that.
  18. Probably easiest to watch a video on it. You won't see them until you get them on the tomahawk, they can only be seen in 'afterlife' mode before that. Warden's office, out window, on telephone pole by lower crossbeam. This one often glitches and gets hard to get. Start room: find death switch, go out door to right, in jail cell across from door, in the toilet. Roof, as you enter the roof area, go to the far back left corner, tomahawk the light fixture on the corner of the building. Just out of the playable map area. 2 by docks. Go around to the tower, where the tower trap is. Look at the pier in the water, top of one of the posts of that pier. By juggernogg; face away from juggernogg. Go in the corner to the left of the window. Throw at the light post above you (jump helps) near the light on top. Often glitchy and hard to get. Use this as a reference and watch a video. Good luck.

One i forgot on Mayday: often, whether or not i have schematics, there is a red toolbox by the second hive, near a white 'drillable' door that i open and it says 'crafting item found' but didn't say what it is and it never adds to my current schematic. If i make sure to breach the door first, it usually stops this glitch. Otherwise, it happens almost every game. Solo, extinction, Mayday. Edit: another. Near the hypnotrap schematics are 2 drillable doors. Again i got 2 Rhino at these doors. But this time, i guessed about where the second 1 spawned and i put the trap there. I was spot-on; the Rhino spawned on my trap which glitched him into the floor. I was able to crawl through the top half of him and look out through his face. As soon as a round started, he jumped up and functioned normally. Edit: they climb out of the floor, so with no enemies to attack, he just sat there in the floor. I'm a walking glitch machine. Edit: safeguard, red star, can't pick it up. Finally, while standing on it, i switch guns to my pistol and it instantly picks up. Weird.

    Before 40 lightning is the easiest. After that, the infinite damage and 'higher than winds' ammo count make ice the only staff.
  23. Extinction Mayday experiences; Played a few of these, solo. Twice I had a cryptid stuck under the floor in the start room during/after the first hive battle. From boat/drill start area: nearest hive, cryptid under left floor/behind left wall. If you try to open a red toolbox without the correct schematics, it says 'blah, need correct schematics, blah' (something like that). If you hit it again, it will pulse. Well, i got money but couldn't pick it up because i was full. So the screen says 'too much money blah' (or similar), so i move and see the search icon and hit x to search, but it was a red box. So it glitched; it pulses the 'too much money blah' instead of telling me i did not have the correct schematic. I was definitely at a toolbox, not still standing by the money. Minor, but mentioned. Should be easily repeatable. Edit: it is repeatable; works with 'need locker key' statement as well.
  24. Groovy. I knew that I'd eventually play this more as my obsessions with codmp and Safeguard eased off. I did the opposite of you: I played ghosts since about new years and have 4 60p, 1 57, 1 50, 1 lvl1 guys. Now I'm breaking from that. Mostly Safeguard, but that's late night with a buddy. So I was trying to not play mp nor ruin the fun of Safeguard by playing it too much and extinction was right there... I built the hypno trap while dreaming of nabbing 2 Rhinos...then i set it by the one door, drilled, got a Rhino. Then i set it by the other nearby door and see my Rhino battling another. I set my trap down between them, he touched it and I had 2 Rhinos (strategy tip: Hunters or Teleporting/blue Hunters or Scorpions and possibly Seeders are all actually better choices). Overall, they only helped through one round. They aren't that great at fighting other Craptids. But, it did save me from 2 1-vs-1 battles with Rhinos. Also, i kept getting a cryptid under the floor in the start area of Mayday in solo.

    Safeguard Game Mode

    I was just wondering how many enemies in each round in total which can be done by paying attention at the end of each round to how many kills each player got since the previous round. As for how many of each type per round? I guess one would just have to count them individually. With no theater mode, one could film the screen with a digital camcorder/cellphone and watch the playback. But again, that seems a little too detailed. :)
