  1. They would be used as traps. It says that in the post. Lol
  2. They better include the old zombies maps. I'm not paying for them again later on down the road.
  3. This is exactly why I'm in agreement with the OP. Now, I'm not into camping, though I was before I found out that running is more effective. But forcing people to play a certain way will put a lot of people off. The mid-round boss players need to be done away with IMO, bring back boss rounds! Doing this would keep things more interesting I feel. It helps break up the gameplay so every round doesn't feel the same, makes the game go quicker so it doesn't get so boring and lets players go with whatever strategy suits their style of play. The only problem with the boss zombies like George is it eliminates the fact that other people can't play to their tuned playing style. I'm up for running or camping, but you should be able to straight up pick, not alternate throughout. George forced the play style that most people were not used to or even enjoyed down their throats. I have no problem with things like the napalm and super sprinters and such, but make it possible to have more freedom for players to do what they want without having to do a side mission that involves something stupid like math or something. I went for feel, I want each map to feel different, be distinct in their own way, not just a new map in a. new cool place with new cool things. I can agree that George did force the playstyle of constant moving and I can see how most players who play with a different style might get frustrated. I believe Treyarch is still trying out new things because keep in mind BO is only the second time zombies has been in a game. On that I note I'll admit that I am not the biggest fan of George either.
  4. Sounds good, but I think the characters are too well established and loved to be replaced now, but that would be a good idea That's what I figured. I just don't see where they can take the storyline from Moon. I mean Earth is still there but it's all messed up and Maxis said the rockets wiped out most of the zombies.
  5. I had an idea that the ending of the EE on Moon was the end of everything. The next zombies would feature a brand new cast and what they're doing happens simutaneously with what the original four are doing. Along the way the help Maxis set up his revenge on Richtofen and that's their stroyline but unknown to them it will end in their death due to the rockets sent from the moon. As much as I love the classic characters i'd like to see something new, hear some new voices and personalities. Wheter they do that are stick with the original gang, i'll be happy either way because zombies still rules.
  6. Special zombies are in the game to break the sense of security and requires players to reinvent their play style with each new map. George taught players to keep moving instead of camping and always keep in the back of their minds that he's still there. Napalm zombies forced players to shift focus from the regular zombies to deal with a much greater threat. Same with the screamers. Cosmonaunts taught players the same thing as napalm zombies aswell as taking new routes and learning to survive on your own due to that fact the they can cut players off from certain locations and can teleport and isolate a single player. They're there to keep the game difficult and challenging. If the maps consisted of the same thing over and over just in different locations, the maps would lose a sense of itself and would have no gameplay differences from other maps besides it's setup. Eventually players would get really bored of the same experience over and over again just in new places. I feel these features are very important to the map and refreshes the excitement of zombies with each new map. On the subject of the vote thing, it's obviuous people would vote to leave it out because most players don't like change but without it we wouldn't come to love new things and discover new experiences and playstyles. Think about it when WaW came out if they suggested the zombies idea prior to it's release most players would find the idea silly and completely useless in a CoD game and we all wouldn't be here talking about Zombies.
  7. Zombies is due for an urban setting. It would give the game a sense of just general survival in an urban enviornment. I love that idea. A times square map would kick ass.
  8. Hello everyone, obviously i'm new here. I've been playing zombies since WaW and haven't stopped since. I play zombies nearly every day. Unfortunately I usually play alone because my buddies all hate zombies, mainly because they all suck horribly at it. I'm pretty good but nothing special. I recently however have been paying co-op with another buddy who enjoys zombies as much as I do. We really would like some more players so if you're interested in playing with me you can add me on Xbox. My gamertag is Rickety v2. I really hope that I get to know some of you guys and gain some more knowledge on zombies and everything about it. Thanks. -R. Cricket
  9. I'm gonna try to play it backwards to see if it says something. I'll post results. I also simply googled the description. I found this: http://pastebin.com/1H2i3n04 Idk if it's signifigant or not but it says it was posted the same day that the video was uploaded and is entitled "Manhattan"
  10. I think a ranking system would be pretty cool it could feature challenges too. Unlockable titles and emblems wouldn't be a bad idea either. Also I think each player should have a stats page that would show stats like kills and rounds reached.
  11. Name: Back-up Beer. The name comes from the idea that the perk "has your back" with it's useful effects. Cost: 1500 Effects: When you are hit by a zombie that zombie that hit you dies but you still would take damage like normal. This keeps the player from being killed by a single zombie but you can still be easily killed in a crowd. Also if you are trapped in a crowd and a zombie hits you with this perk it could open up a gap in the crowd that you could easily escape through if you're quick enough. Also you would cycle through weapons faster, knife faster, throw grenades faster (both lethal and tactical) and when you go down you let off a mini nuke similar to that of a headshot on a screamer zombie or when you kill a cosmonaunt. Color: Blue Taste: Minty fresh salmon
  12. I totally agree, they should make a perk giving you 50% more ammo.
  13. I agree underwater fighting would bring a new sytle of fighting like low gravity did in Moon and it would just generally kick ass.
  14. Well i dont think it would be strong enough for its own round so maybe like every 5-6 rounds it would come during a normal round and drop and perk or max ammo. That sounds reasonable. Great idea i'll add that too.
  15. Yeah, the plan would be to have carnie zombies mixed with civilian like zombies. With the strongman idea were you thinking of like an intergrated zombie, special round zombie or kind of like a George Romero figure from CotD?
  16. Good point, I didn't even take that into consideration. Possibly the zombie could kick the players thus pushing them away, injuring and stunning them.
  17. My idea for a BO2 map is a Carnival on the east coast of the US. This map would roughly be the size of Moon or CotD. It would feature closed in pathways linking larger open areas much like Moon. Carnival would be a modern looking map and would not destroyed or in shambles like Kino and the classic maps. Like all previous maps, the power must be turned on in order to use perks and other map features. The map will also be a night so when the power comes on the rides and park itself will light up the map. It will also feature six Mystery Box locations instead of four like in Shangri-La and Moon. Since we don't really know what direction the story will go, it's hard to determine what to do in terms of charcters and the easter egg. Map areas would include: -A big top circus -A food court -A tight spaced indoor arcade/gift shop -Open areas with rides -Tight pathways linking the larger parts -A hall of mirrors (idea courtesy of heillingalj) Features would include: -Rides that players can actually use and can be used as traps and means of escape. Each ride requires a trap piece in order to be operational. The trap pieces will be randomly scattered throughout the map. Trap pieces are compatable with every ride, this makes it so players have to prioritize and decide which ride to activate first based on how important the ride is to the players. -A skyglide that would transport players from one side of the map to the other at a moderately fast speed. Since this ride gets you safely from one side to the other, it will cost 1500 points. -A ferris wheel that would go around and it would stop once the gondola with the players in it were at the top. The wheel would stall for about 20-30 sec. and could act as a crow's nest for players who snipe or prefer long range killing. Zombies attempting to attack the player(s) on the wheel will climb the wheel in order to get to them. -A spinning gravitron ride that the player runs through and activates once through it. The trap would spin and play music of some kind and would bash zombies around thus killing them. (idea courtesy of PuR3x Bladez and deathb4di2h0nor) -I'm currently brainstorming some ideas for new useful rides that could be featured in the map. Please post your ideas and suggestions. -3 new special zombies that are intergrated along with the regular zombies -A zombie on stilts that possibly tosses bombs that stun the player or kicks the player thus pushing them away, stunning and injuring them. This zombies would have about as much health as a napalm zombie or a cosmonaunt. Having this zombie on stilts would put him above zombies and would direct fire from the actual horde to this zombie. This zombie would be restricted to the larger open areas like the crawlers are restricted to the theater in Kino and the labs in Moon and would also move at about normal zombie speed. -A tiger zombie similar to hellhounds that move in packs of 2-4 at a time. They would share the same health and movement speed as hellhounds. It's possible that instead of intergrating these tiger zombies, they could have their own round similar to hellhounds. -A strongman zombie that would appear every 5-6 rounds and would have double the health of a cosmonaunt. This zombie would carry around a hammer that does massive amounts of damage and moves at about the same speed at a cosmonaunt. Once the players have killed this zombie either a max ammo or a perk bottle would drop. (idea courtesy of PuR3x Bladez) -New type of equipment -A jack-in-the-box that is randomly placed on the map. With this jack-in-the-box the player can wind it up thus producing a loud song that attracts nearby zombies. Eventually if the player winds it for too long the jack-in-the-box will pop and stun and injure the player, preventing it from being overused. If this were implemented then monkey bombs should probably be removed. -The new knife to replace the bowie would be a one handed chainsaw. Similar the the one used by Adam the Clown from Dead Rising. Possibly if the melee button is held the player could perform an execution on a zombie, the only problem with this would be players may try this on a zombie or accidently hold melee in a group and then could be easily downed. -A new wonder weapon. Currently I am working on some ideas for a new wonder weapon. I was thinking of a sort of laser rifle that instead of using ammo, it generates it's own ammo by having the player press the reload button button and pull a lever on the gun to generate ammo. One reload press equals one shot and the gun unPaP'd holds 50 shots and PaP'd holds 100 and one reload press equals two shots. This idea is kind of in the works right now. -A new perk called Hot Sauce that would add incendiary rounds to all of your weapons, excluding your grenades, Ray Gun and wonder weapon. The perk would cost 3500 points. It would add extra damage to your rounds and your shots would set the zombies on fire and damage them for about 20 secs. after being hit with the shot(s). After the 20 sec. the flame would wear off if the zombies wasn't killed. I know this is kind of a cliche perk that has been suggested thousands of times but I figured i'd throw the idea in here because I think it's a great idea. In order to get to pack a punch players must complete a series of about 4-5 carnival games scattered throughout the map. Once a game is complete a spotlight will activate around the big top tent. Once all games are complete the spotlights will all be on and will move around. PaP will be lowered from the ceiling on a trapeeze like rope and will sit in the center ring. Another great idea for PaP would be that there are multiple weapon camos. I'd like to see the classic WaW and BO camo as well as the BO2 camo and some new ones. If you have cool ideas for new camos, please feel free to share them. These camos would be selected randomly. Some cool new gun camos would be: -Gold -Flaming -Basic solid colors -Wooden New characters introduced: -Vito: A wealthy italian casino owner and mob boss -Kevin: A hardcore foul mouthed biker -Gary: A wise homeless man (It would be pretty sick to get Rutger Hauer to play his voice actor) -Brad: A local street thug I think it would be cool to introduce random survivors, however the new players in BO2 zombies could be used but if not, I came up with these guys. At first the players would have a sense of fear and wouldn't understand the scenario but as the game progresses the players may get cocky and comfortable with each other and have a lot more interaction. As I said before trying to come up with an easter egg at this point is kind of difficult because we don't know where the story's going to go from BO. Also i'm working on designing an actual layout of the map to get an idea of where everything's gonna go. I'll post updates as I think of them. If you have any ideas or comments on the map and features please feel free to share them. Also i'm new here and this is my first post. Thanks!
