  1. I like this idea. I would be honored to learn from you (and hopefully Carbon) on what needs to happen and be able to take over when you end up going! And it was here that a new era in CoDz time begun. Congratulations Lissa! Good luck to everyone running for Admin in August. Can we place bets on who think will get the new Admin?
  2. I would definitely like to support and second Phxntxm's idea!
  3. Here's an idea. Give Lissa and I the site and during the time that I'm still here, I can show Lissa everything that would need to be done. Then once it gets closer to the time that I have to leave, Lissa and I can find someone else who can run the site alongside her. Generally, I like it! That's great. A mature, sensible, woman running the site! Good idea. So does this mean Alpha can be considered inactive as an Admin?
  4. Everyone will do the greatest job in their own eyes. The thing with Carbon though, is that, as Chopper likes to say, CoDz is Carbon's baby. Covert and Alpha are basically that baby's godparents or uncles, there from the very start, actually helped in creating the site. Anyone else has to treat it like so. Basically, this site isn't a baby, it's a fully growing child. The new owners and Admins must be the teachers of this child, leading it in the right direction. That's who should be running the site; anyone that can be a teacher, a mentor, to the state. Good teachers are supposed to build off what a good parent has done, not make drastic changes. That's all.
  5. +1 That's everything I was thinking. Great post. I respect everything you've done for the site. Hell, you have the most posts on the entire site. However, the main owner should be a current staff member, others can share partial payment and a regular Admin position, just not the full ownership.
  6. Yeah, that's not good. Hmm. Well, the playdate is in a week; hopefully everyone is ready for some awesome zombie slaying action! Don't forget about Way's tournament guys!
  7. This is really true. I think I'm thinking that Treyarch is too sensitive. I forgot they weren't Infinity Ward. I have a name. Strwrsbob. He's 17, which means he can buy the game from the store. He's a donor to this site. He's been one of the best members, here since the beginning. He has the 4th most reputation on the entire site, behind carbon, Alpha, and Faust. If he can fund the site, he would be a great candidate. :D
  8. Wow. Yup, Faust has definitely brought up an overlooked point. +1 for the ESRB reference. Affiliates... Wouldn't that mean Treyarch has control of this site? I don't know how everyone would feel about that, since a lot of the posts point out Treyarch's flaws, sometimes in a negative light.
  9. Geez, everyone is checking out the site news right now. Anyway, the Donate button, like MegaAfroMan pointed out in the User Manual is barely noticeable, it's all the way at the bottom of the page! If design integrity is Carbon's concern, then two small ads on either side of the Donate button would be barely noticeable but still there. I don't know. This is turning into a brainstorm. It seems that ads have become the only way to make us work.
  10. You know that donate button would look really nice next to two ads. Good posts, Covert, Phxntxm. Hopefully carbon AKA Dan will see this. The money is... a lot. We love him for paying it, but seriously, it's a lot. Not many people can just pull $80 a month out for a website, an amazing website, but a website nonetheless.
  11. No offense to anyone that isn't already on the staff, but I wouldn't trust anyone but a current staff member to run this site. Hopefully something can be arranged. I don't even trust myself to run the site. Besides the person that runs this site needs to be over 18, just my opinion though. I do realize age doesn't matter internally, but on the outside, it does. In terms of funding and relationships with people on the outside of the this site, AKA Treyarch, age could be an issue. However, if they're on the staff first and foremost, that would supersede age.
  12. The problem with that is most of our staff are under 20, and don't really have the funds for that. Lissa and Alpha are the only ones who aren't (Idk about grix) Makes sense. Alpha's gone I guess... Haven't seen Lissa much. How old is Strwrsbob's brother? Is he actually 31?
  13. I'd go with Moon. Ascension becomes boring and dull quickly. Something about the Wave Gun makes Moon enticing. Keep QEDs for the astronaut. You don't necessarily need Gersches. If you get a drop just run kill your wave and you should have enough time to hack (with Speed Cola). Personally, I'd go with Shangri-La. :P
  14. It should be so that a current staff member take over ownership of the site as the head admin. If not possible, perhaps a joint ownership where a staff member pays some, but is the head admin, and then someone else pays most, but is just a regular admin? I'm not sure, just thinking out in the open. Whatever may come, I know that we will be ready! 8-)
  15. viewtopic.php?f=68&t=19044 Absolute vs. Relative truth, you say? Anyway, I like the discussion. There should be some line, but hey, do we really know anything?
  16. Shi no Numa is in Japan, according to Treyarch, so the sound files are crazy. But the main difference here is that Wonder Weapons don't exist.
  17. Guns are for gameplay purposes, Wonder Weapons excluded, of course. For this reason, we can consider these guns and many others to come to be anachronistic.
  18. Great first storyline post, Chopper! Really detailed and knowledgeable.
  19. Same as the above too. Running this site would be something I'd love to do, a dream even! Unfortunately, I don't have the funds either.
  20. Marshmellow! What's up dude? Welcome to CoDz. Here we got strategy, story, and teamwork all covered. I love your sig, can't wait to see the avatar. Enjoy your stay and feel free to ask me any questions you may have! 8-) Also brains to start you off!
  21. Glad to see we are all on board here. I'll talk to way about doing some fun stuff in the private match multiplayer lobby while we wait for the others. Hopefully that's okay with everyone! First of all, I am going to pose a personal challenge to all of you. If a team can of 4 can get to round 30+ on Nacht der Untoten on a playdate day (with some kind of proof), then they will all receive brains from me. If anyone would like to commit to this (as well as committing to giving the reward), then so be it! This is just a cool, fun little thing on the side; it's completely optional.
  22. Really good stuff, brains. Question though: why is this in the Asylum? I feel like this is a solid research facility post, plus with stuff like this, people don't really check the asylum, so you'll probably have a better chance of getting views in General Discussion or Research Facility. :D
  23. Thanks to way and Covert for their input. We are going to restructure the way these are done. Everyone will meet at 6 GMT in a multiplayer lobby (one multiplayer private match lobby supports up to 18 people). GMT is the time zone we will communicate in because it is the international time; therefore, use this time chart to help you sort out the time. We will still keep the teams if people are absent or the time doesn't match up exactly. This way, we have two options of getting everyone to play with each other. After each game or two games, we can meet back up or split into the teams for a little bit of fun. Just letting you guys know, I won't be on for the next playdate around mid-day but should be able to get a bunch of games with you guys!
  24. That was hilarious, spam bot. :D
