  1. This is good advice Jay. The only thing is to really make serious improvements you will at some point have to go out of character. But first find something that works for you, and work on your confidence. I don't know if this will help you but I struggle with my confidence from time to time. This was from last night - [00] Chopper Nator: its drving me crazy got 247 with 17 + 12 left on side drop and still dont know how i downed. not confident in my controller and it's making me play differently [00] Eye (Paolo): aw man [00] Eye (Paolo): I hate games like that man! [00] Eye (Paolo): That would have been a very nice game you think? [00] Eye (Paolo): Least a 325 [00] Eye (Paolo): Before I got my new controller, those things would happen [00] Chopper Nator: i dont know matw tbh it's been a while since i completed a game. i died on 7 minutes in that game [00] Eye (Paolo): Maybe you should just complete a game? [00] Eye (Paolo): No matter the score, just take it easy and get that confidence [00] Eye (Paolo): Probably a 290-310 for you [00] Chopper Nator: i need a 300 [00] Eye (Paolo): The go do that! [00] Eye (Paolo): It's not difficult as I thought before [00] Eye (Paolo): With the spawn control, I may have used it before I even knew what it was! [00] Eye (Paolo): I attributed it to luck, now I realize, that isn't so [01] Chopper Nator: thanks mate 305 [01] Chopper Nator: 307 died with 4 left [02] Eye (Paolo): nice work once again [02] Eye (Paolo): so feeling better now?
  2. Shake it, shake it, shake it, shake, shake it like a polaroid picture.
  3. I don't normally read theories but this seems a good one. One thing.....I'm surprised that no-one else has picked this up before, Shang/Camp David.
  4. The Doctor = jloves2game = mrdeerhead Top zombie player and nice guy.
  5. 1 - have realistic goals, this will save you controllers, tvs, cats, girlfriends etc. If you have never hit 100 don't have a goal of 150, it leads to too much frustration. Baby steps are important. These steps are almost goals. 2 - learn a consistent yet slow PAP method. 3 - learn to kite the whole area of NML with pistols out, don't worry about shooting. 4 - learn to get Juggs from using the PAD. 5 - complete a game on the PAD, you are now above 200 kills. If you try too copy what you see in various YT videos before doing this you are in for a long and painful road. I've been on that road, it sucks. 6 - speed up the PAP first, move onto a different method. I'd go with Super's hybrid. 7 - after getting pistols kite the entire hoard, make sure you have them all. Work on finding a good spot to shot one bullet and continue a circle until you recover, then shoot the other one. Do this twice you have Juggs pretty much. 8 - get pistols and Juggs, get a hoard and then spend some time in the side drop and back swamp. You want to learn mainly how dogs can react to your movements, and where they can trap you in these areas. Learn this in the relative peace of a full hoard, with no pressure to kill them quickly. 9 - use 6, 7 and 8 together to complete a game in either the back drop or side. You should be getting closer to 300 now. 10 - 2 things left to learn, the rush PAP strategy and becoming quicker between pistols and juggs. For the rush watch my PAPs, I'm probably averaging around 50 kills and guns in on 86 seconds. This can go as high as 57 for me, and I know Mato has done 60. Use 10 with 8 and you are as far along as talk can take you. It's all about frustration, tears and practise now.
  6. The dog glitch in Kino is pretty irrelevant though. Unless you are an absolute complete beginner how can you not deal with dogs with Juggs normally? I love it when my friends and randoms do it, I go around stealing all the dogs with my 2 hit bowie!
  7. I do kinda see your point on this yeti. Tom said this yesterday - someone getting to 100 in there on solo would be a masterpiece. I couldn't agree more, I believe you have gotten to 70 with no downs but 100 is close to double that time.
  8. Hey Perfect, I'll try and help as best I can. Firstly, believe me I totally understand where you are coming from as I have been there. The first week or so I played was rough. First thing that sorted me out was getting a consistent, but slow PAP strategy down. When you PAP every other time as a minimum it means you can actually concentrate on the most important and difficult part of NML, PAP to Juggs. This is when a game is set. Now I've been talking with Super, and doing some testing and will be releasing NML breakdown 2 tomorrow, and will highlight this time. I will show all the ways I know how to do it. Depending on your personal goal, which from the sound of it 250 just get on the PAD the second you get Pistols. Just do it. Watch any video from the PAD - Super has a few, Mix does, I have some stuff and concentrate on the technique of kiting. Get a full hoard and then get a shot off and continue circling, then when you have recovered get another shot off. This is by far the easiest way to get Juggs and has been done to at least 280, one by Mr MixMasterNut. On question 1.....It's about shot selection pure and simple, which comes from practise and lots of fails, plus success of what works. It's difficult to define but I will try in breakdown 2. Question 2.....Ok when I rewatch it I can see that it may look a bit suspect but red screen works in a funny way. You can sometimes stay red for ages but actually be recovered enough health to still take hits. This is entirely instinctive but if you watch a lot of high run videos they will have moments of this 'redness' where they are still red when they fire a doubleshot and are fine. I watch it and know that they are going to be fine, I'm 100% certain Super would be too. This comes down to living on the edge over and over again, and just knowing the recovery times. I hoped this helped in some way. Main thing is get a safe PAP and then Juggs strategy to get some confidence. My first high game was 167, then 190, 210, 220, 230 then 278. I tell you as you get a couple of 200s under your belt, which you will if you even just stay on the PAD you will gain confidence, and learn a lot whilst not wanting to break things. It took me 2 months to go from 298 to 300, then I did maybe 20 of them in a week after that. Confidence is key. Doctor from here, ages to get to 300, hits 301 then 317. Phxtnxm is stuck on 298, hits 300 and then suddenly hits 323! Super has a similar story. Confidence is key in NML, once you gain confidence you get your swag on and then good shit happens :D
  9. We want to innovate Yeti on this one, not follow And how many downs do they have between them? In solo you get 3 chances, no-one is there to pick you up.
  10. I know mate, my biggest problem is I seem to have an unability within me to take the safe option. I know I can do the AK, so I'm going to Tried twice and messed up a lot, each time between 25 and 35. Then 3rd game did it until 36, had a break and went down! I will get past 40 tomorrow in this stupid area, and then work on the spawn control If past 40 the spawns are set within 5 I know for sure I can easily get to power from AK regardless of spawn from the M16. Then it's how quick I can find a way to reverse them. 5and5 - check your PM ;)
  11. Ok thanks guys. The big problem with Shang is that the AK door closed is super super fast, but between 25 and 35 it's so difficult I could cry. Literally, up to 25 I find it easy, but then past there is a funny time and things become a little hectic to say the least. I really want to try it past 40. And for some reason with the tunnel shut, if you stay at AK they will not spawn at the windows where the M16 is, but they will from the big drop in the area. With the tunnel shut it's really good, but if PAP goes there you are in trouble. It seems that past 40 if they spawn within 5 seconds you could just stay at AK for 5 seconds and then head to power, but that roof drop makes this slightly risky if 3 have spawned there.
  12. Yo yo yo, I'm trying to work something out and I'm struggling, so I'm asking all CODZ for help. Max spawn speed is from round 48 and upwards. We know from all the maps that 22/23 seconds is the absolute fastest that anyone can get a hoard, anywhere. My question is more specific. After how long do you estimate that all zombies are spawned into their assigned locations. Ie, if you were to time it, and were doing spawn control past level 50 how long would you need to stay in an area to ensure they are all spawned in? Brain, brains, brains for answers! I'm struggling to find a way to test this ingame somehow. For a start level 50 testing is not normally the most fun sans Thunder ;)
  13. The only thing that's giving me slight issues are the screaming zombies Super - so far I'm staying put, you know where and circling. But if they spawn at the beginning of a fresh hoard the difficulty increases by at least 3 times. Love love love Firezombies, hello Mr Trap Like you Super I'm not a fan, did a single 50 on it and washed my hands....or so I thought ;)
  14. We may have broken Shang between the 3 of us The community will be updated as we test and iron out the kinks. Only 3 people have ever been to 100 on Shang, me and Super will be 4 and 5 hopefully.
  15. 8 perks maybe on Shang and COTD? I agree with Way's list, as much as I enjoy all the various weapon only or door shut etc they are very difficult to prove without video evidence, which not everyone has access to.
  16. Just one thing I forgot to mention - if I had not stabbed those 2 zombies I would done exactly the same thing, the difference being after the grenade I would not have the dog chasing me. It would have been 56 kills at PAP - that's 8 extra when you exclude the 2 stabbed. 16 bullets, 8 crawlers - you just have time to get these, a dog right spawn but still should give you enough time. Dogs are the difference on the second grenade.
  17. idk...I see Chopper has QR in the thumbnail of his vid. Dude have you watched the video?
  18. It was more a case of when you have 36 hoards to kill does counting them put you under any kind of pressure....I suppose it's a personal thing and you won't know until you try. Bizarrely enough me and Super are both going to be trying a new strategy out, and they are both identical. I had been talking to Eye about it, and then discovered this. Bit freaky how alike the 3 of us think in relation to tactics and strategy. Expect something to come out of this for the community :)
  19. Hey guys, played a little bit earlier and got this PAP. Thought I could make a nice little thread out of it, there's certain things in NML which are just easier to describe whilst speaking compared to writing It may also answer a question that Jay asked me about certain 180 turns. whKNVNVbcFc
  20. I am going to disagree with that. solo may be, co-op Not really. That's a different ball game I was going to say co-op is more about patience and would require high level reviving skills in order to survive.Simply knowing how to train is not enough. It always get bit challenging when a person with the magic stick dies out. You know what Way you are right with this. It is a slightly different skill set and that statement was wrong. Generally though most really good NML players are also going to be good co-op players, maybe not all the youtube stars but certainly the group within CODZ I will apply this to NML training though - the high runs require extremely quick hoard control in a real tight spot into a real little ball. For a high level revive this is key, getting that train in potentially a nasty spot, getting them away and then getting the revive. Obviously co-op is a lot more than that, but NML can definitely improve your co-op play as well. Good example would be Ascension, MPL door open seperate train strategy. Player 2 is kiting loosely too near the door and goes down. Player 1 is mid kite and suddenly has some nasty swarm coming in from the door. I think NML would help in this situation as you are used to dealing with clumps, followed by 1 or 2, etc.
  21. Her Royal Highness Way. In England when anyone reaches the grand old age of 100 they get a letter from the Queen. It used to be a telegram and it has kinda stuck :)
  22. Very nice mate, loving that cage grenade This is about as consistent as you can get. Can maybe shave 4 or 5 seconds off doing it all downstairs but that is hella tough and will not make any difference in the long run, and needs lots of luck with no dogs on 2nd grenade. I'm going to work on this alot. Thanks Super :D
  23. Not at all mate, I have a couple of ideas for later but like to see what others come up with too :D
  24. Simply brilliantly thought out and theorized Tom. We created this particular one with the aim of what if's and maybes. Zombies is often adaptive, and I love how you have shown this Tom. [brains] [brains] [brains] [brains] [brains] [brains] Let's try and get more answers like this guys, it's a great help to the community to have stuff like this out there :D
