The whole thing is about Youtubers only, that's pretty obvious I mean how should you tell here, that Sam2123445 is the best player, if he is not active on any forum, on any social or video platform. I feel a bit sorry WKZ, that no one is accepting your request to make own lists But don't worry, I recently made some thread that got 1 reply, so, who cares. Fail, next one.
  4. Played it for like 20min or so. First impression? Hell yeah! http://www.twitch.tv/tomkzombies/b/372370507 The map is very confusing at first. Even if you tell someone to explain the map to you, all you see is something like this: And you're like... wtf. After a few games i noticed, that I can only drop down, not going up - something very weird. The second day, someone finally explained me that elevators are the only way up, besides the Jumper at some places. After understanding how you travel, that there are 3 buildings, that bottom floor of spawn building is split into two areas, and so on, a lot of confuse disappeared. The looping spots are often not flat, making it hard for headshots. Or in other words, Ray / M&S / Sliquifier, that don't require aim, got promoted, while as guns that should be used more often imho (Everything with bullets, Double Tap, Head Popper) gets a bit downrated. Sad. A nice wonderweapon. Finally. A major problem stays. Once downed, you have to travel around for x minutes, until you got your perks back. It just gets annoying to wait for 4 elevators being at the right floor, travelling from your death spot to power building, to spawn building, back to running spot... Bit annoying, but at least better than in Green Run. I'm just afraid double-downs (down once, down again cause no jug = game end in solo) will stay a common issue. That's not what the game should be about. OK, who's who works against this problem, that's nice.
  5. Before the patch, yes. But now I think it's no longer easier than in BO1. The zombs are quite crazy now - being quickly slowed down when running over a fire line is enough to get 3 hits at once and stuff. Of course - PermaJug, the shield and the ability to get a good setup in R1 with the bank still make it a bit more convenient. But none, NONE of these can replace a M&S + PHD. Cornered? No Prob, empty MS on your fett = freed yourself. Zombie blocking your path? Empty MS = free path. Something elsegoing wrong? MS! Same with the Thunder Gun, the Baby Gun, the Wave Gun... I don't know how we could even die in BO1 with this common "Oh Shit" reaction.
  6. Hey there The Smiler is the upgraded SMR There is no general gun section so it goes in the general general section. I'm doing some weapon testing atm, so I upgraded the thing called SMR :oops: . I noticed a reserve ammo of 390. Then I repapped it to get rid of the hybrid sight, which I can't even assign a key to switch its mode. Then I saw the reserve ammo was only 210. Repapping it about 10 more times didn't bring up the 390 bullets again, which could be cause repapping is not refilling ammo. So far - weird. Not enough of the mystery, I got a fresh new SMR out of the box, papped again once, got again 390 ammo and the hybrid sight. I played a bit, got a max ammo. I noticed the reserve ammo filled up to 420. This felt very confusing, since I've never seen something similar. Of course it's not that important for the gun's stats (crap stays crap - although it's not that bad papped) or for something else, but I think it's still an interesting behavior. Bug? Glitch? A troll of Treyarch? What is this about?

  8. I am not talking about myself up there Really not, I mean I have just a hand full of subbers. If my vids or what is in there was that awesome, that I can make it on such a list, I'd have 100k subbers. I'm absolutely aware of this.
  9. I have serious problems with those kind of threads. Some items are obviously clear, but others, uff. It is just very personal who do you believe in, what videos you come across, what videos you miss and so on. For example, I have seen a player doing a commentary, rather explaining life than anything about zombies. But it has hit my heart, and I would give that guy the award of the best commentator, although he did 3 zombie videos or so. Most of us simply do not have enough overview of all the players to make a rating like this. I mean, who has time to follow 100 zombie youtubers? I would not even agree on syndicate, since he barely does zombie videos - or if he does ( I don't even know tbh ) they do not show up at my search results. But Waffles, NGT and Yota show up mostly. This of course depends on the search terms. But already here I see I had no chance to decide what the most influentive (hoped this word would not get underlined) zombie player is. We also have to keep in mind, that there are tons of awesome players out there. A lot of them get disappointed, when they do not see their own name own such lists. I mean, if I was a youtuber with 10k subbers and not seeing my name on the list, I'd be just disappointed and my feelings would be hurt. Therefore I'm not really convinced of those lists.
  10. Very interesting. Your friend could obviously rank down in 1 day, but needed several days to rank back up. In case the rank is not based on lifetime stats, that would tell, that a certain amount of games is counted, not just a certain period of time. But I'm also not sure about the whole thing here, lifetime stats or not. No clue. I got a bit confused lately, when a noob Grief clan played against me and some others. 3 of 4 had shotguns, but they didn't play super awesome. What I saw was a decent play, but nothing more. Therefore I still wonder, if and in what way Grief plays a role. Maybe the many revives you get in grief? Grief itself with the Win/Loss Ratio? Well, I gave this rank stuff up.   11. Knifing has one little suicidal problem You are rooted while charging. OK, you can still use the trick but it will never ever be as fast as it was before, because you have to gain distance in advance. I tried to use the jetgun in the bar, destroying on purpose and reassemble it midround (temp is then 0 again), but it turned out to be too dangerous and too tedious. Obsolete - no You are just forced to use it in 60+, if you want or not It just got slower. I also use it in narrow spots like stairs or the M16 platform.
  12. Well, someone said TranZit is not meant to be played by camping. I have to disagree I think people can play like they want! I would probably try that spot in the bus depot first, cause you can get a new turbine for your tarps quickly. I've never done it though.
  13. In zombies, I still don't really notice a big difference. It's probably just automatism going on there. But I played some multiplayer recently. I noticed very well, that with the increasing blood alcohol level, the K/D decreased Looks like those guys saying reaction time is going up are right ;)
  14. The multi-topic creation is a common issue on every board in the world. I assume I got used to this problem, it actually doesn't disturb me that much. As a board user, I want to get my stuff read. I just have better chances as the op than with a reply in 132nd position. Often, existing threads are just not seen. Indeed, there is no global search function on this board. What can a poster do? - Have a look for existing threads on your topic. Be aware that interested people will read the 132nd answer too. Unintersted will not click the topic anyway. - Use the subbboard based search function. What can a reader do? - Report threads on an existing topic. What can a mod do? - Lock, merge and post a kind link to the existing topic. - If needed, mark the existing thread as important, e.g. as it was done with the rank discussion. (Prime example)
  15. I guess we talk about the definition of a glitch one more time I totally agree with you Murder. The Jet Gun usage was actually my motivation to open this thread. The Devs neither meant 4 players to have a hacker, nor a non-heating Jet Gun. Therefore, those ARE glitches. They are just minor glitches, glitches for those I'm not asking for justification, glitches that are already justificated by the community. Of course, we all want the obvious bugs to get patched - the invisible excavator, the unbreakable shield. But if you get this done with a patch, also the minor thingies get patched that some of us don't even consider glitches, like the Jet Gun usage. Therefore I came up with this question. Of course the best solution is to get the major bugs and glitches fixed, but not this minor stuff that is already legalized by the community. But this is not what you get. Obviously, you get everything patched or nothing. So, what you like more? Would you rather do your R100 with the Jet Gun and face 100 Shield Glitchers in Publics, or do you favour to be aware of never ever reaching R100, never reaching a top score in the leaderboards? That is what I'm asking.
  16. Hello Many of us have played the Black Ops 1 map Moon. We know about several glitches in there, that never got fixed. Let's have a look at a short selection: [*:bo40hk98]Round-Skipping glitch by teleporting to earth shortly before a round starts. [*:bo40hk98]Invisible excavator [*:bo40hk98]Getting 4 hackers for your team [*:bo40hk98]Moonwalking astro (I SAY THIS IS A GLITCH! ) [*:bo40hk98]"Not moving at all" - Astro [*:bo40hk98]Zombies not pathing to you or attacking you when standing next to the rock at PHD Although these bugs and glitches are present, I'm still having a ton of fun playing Moon. In Green Run we experienced several glitches, too. Those got fixed, or at least some of them. Again a short selection: [*:bo40hk98]Zombies not pathing to you / reaching you / attacking you in several spots. [*:bo40hk98]Unbreakable shield So far, no question. Stuff like that belongs patched. Of course, we also wanna see major bugs getting patched, like game crashes or such. But what about the following ones? [*:bo40hk98]Unbreakable, eternally working turbine - Common, that thing was handy for pap. [*:bo40hk98]Jet Gun not heating up when charging it while switching to it. [*:bo40hk98]Only, and only the full healthed zombies will respawn when teleporting, which makes it more difficult to keep one last zombie (e.g. if he runs over lava he dies already in my games) OK, the turbine thing is obviously something that I'd call glitch-abusing when you did it. But as long as you used it only for PaP, it made the game just a bit more convenient. The Jet Gun thing, everybody did it, and suddenly this option is taken away. For me it seems like they removed one tactic and replaced it with nothing else. The normal usage of the Jet Gun was available before the patch too. Therefore, it's like the game has less strategies, and less strategies is never a good thing. The last zombie thing feels quite annoying. I wanna leave one last to activate and build the power switch, but BANG, next round starts and I'm in the narrow reactor room, no Jug, I die. Uncool. Going back to Moon: If you could wish: should it stay as it is (advantages like 4 hackers, an Astro that is not hunting you, but also disadvantages like an end of the game cause you ran in the invisible excavator), or should it all get patched, so you had neither glitches that are for your advantage, nor for your disadvantage? And really, think of it. Isn't it a good thing quickly staying at this PHD rock simply to go to the toilet for 1 minute in coop?
  17. I play on PC. After a 1month break, I picked the game out again. There is definitely something different So is it now the case, that as soon as a zombie is damaged, he will die? 1 month ago, even those respawned. But seems not to be the case anymore. Fully healthed zombies respawned for me too.

  19. Maps were always 100% identical. I rather think he was referring to PS3 server / Steam crashes due to too many DLC downloaders ;)
  20. Thanks Dahniska for the weapon info. The sheet is actually including all maps. I don't know if it's worth to do it for BO1. Not many play it, and it's much work.
  21. Great work BinSys, as always! A nice use of this is in round 14, maybe 15+. Leading a zombie through the lava just quickly still allows you to insta-knuckle him. In higher rounds, this is of course great to save ammo. However, people normally use the Jet Gun there. But if you don't and see you are getting low, I would think of crossing big lava pools (e.g. BridgeTown) over and over again, to get the necessary 30s quickly done. Alternatively, simply run a train around a lava pool. I still think though, that the negative effects of lava / burning zombies are too bad (slowing yourself, damage from explosion). I think I run my trains still in a no-lava areas. Even if it needs more ammo.
  22. One per player. The problem is, that turbines don't work forever and continuously. As soon as it turns off (in solo, in coop you can place a secondary), your traps are gone. Very sad. Another problem is, that they do friendly fire. It would be great to place a turret on top of the diner, while running a train outside the diner. But the turret will kill you. What works well is placing el. traps in front of zombie spawning windows. That way, they are not able to attack it. Turrets somewhere in a camping spot, e.g. in coop in the corner of PAP area. But overall, it's crap. At some point, your turbines fuck up, zombies destroy your setup, and until you are re-set, it takes hours. Better just running a normal train imho.
  23. This will not be possible. Theater files only store your movement and your actions. It's not a video itself that is stored. Therefore, the console is needed to actually render the engine. An online portal would then have to render the videos in realtime for thousands of watchers, which is not realistic.

  25. In the old Green Run days, I just named them after what is in there and everybody knows. For example, power building. Or in farm, one was the residential house and the other the barn. Just something, that makes it clear and readers know what it is about. Buddha Room for example is a nice example. Create this table here on the boards (Sidenote: tables was a future I had to ask for first until the plugin was implemented.) Simply impossible. Well, not impossible, but basically impossible considering how editing would be or how it would look and so on. I am also not satisfied with this multi-tab google sheet. It starts with the thing, that I don't like google. I also think, there is much text, which does not fit the sheet style at all and would fit perfectly in the forums. But there is a lot of tables, why I've chosen the sheet thing in the end. I think it is the best compromise. Believe me, if I could, I would do it here on the boards. More users may register. But the forum (any forum) is not offering what I need for this thing there. Keep in mind, this forum is the only one I posted the link.
