Here's what I think: Having IW and MW take over zombies, isn't going to happen. And as stated in the past with threads of ideas saying "What if zombies came to MW?" no, that could completely ruin it because Treyarch has always done it best and it's their trademark anyways. That being said, with COTD being in the mix, that "technically" counts as "Modern zombie" but, not exactly. So the idea has crossed my mind that it probably wouldn't hurt to have another map as such in the next installment as a "Thanks, great series IW!" where the crew again, is sent somewhere in 2013, looking for clues blah blah blah, seeing what they could do to stop Richtofen and be sent to the Gulag. However, say that by mistake when teleporting, an accident occurs, sending waves of 115 surging in some France city of sorts by triggering an ancient mystery that lies beneath? (Paris, is possible, also Paris takes place in MW3) So, remember those ideas floating about and the EE (literally) with signs pointing to France? They could have a clever way to mixing in the crew searching for the lost catacombs beneath Paris, a misfired accident triggers an incidence, thus releasing the 115 and reanimating the dead. BUT (lol butt joke) There's more. At first I hated the idea of having different crews for a zombie map, but it kinda grew on me and I don't mind it so much from time to time. So, what if in this Modern era zombies map, the survivors were our other beloved Price, Soap, Nikolai (modern, Nikolai) and Yuri? I imagine another epic cutscene at the beginning where you've got a convoy head to the Gulag and some chatter going on while Price is lighting up a cigarette and Soap comes over with a concern about the gang they just caught (The Four Guardians BUT (lol two butts) Here's the kicker, throughout the gameplay, much like you could alternate between Area 51 and Moon in the latest map, what if you could alternate crews? Shit goes down in the Gulag, and now the Four Guardians are in another same old fight for their lives by zombie inmates (DOA anyone? ) and struggle to push though to the catacombs while Price and Co. All fight on the surface against the terrorizing hordes of fresh undead. Yeah, I totally just thought all of that up just now. 8-)

That wouldn't work at all. Simply because you depend on your teammates. If some just decides to leave during zombies, and someone else joins and takes their place, it would throw the zombies off balance. Not to mention there's no way they would spawn in a way that would make it possible or fair to everyone so they even have a chance to survive.

2 players = 6 more zombies = 30 or not?
Undead replied to MrCostari's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Damn, someone did his homework. I hope they bump up the amount that spawns at once if the map continue to get larger. Personally, I wish it were laid out more like L4D and have loads and loads of zombies coming at once (kinda like Survival on L4D), and instead of making them stronger and stronger as the rounds progress, just make the intensity of the horde spread and number of zombies increase. -
I liked how Shangri La's almost couldn't be solved without a little help from the big dogs. I just think it would be even cooler if there were also like 15 different ways to accomplish an EE.
-
Definitely agreed there. I don't understand why some people are willing to ruin the fun that way.
-
Heh, I've got that last trailer all figured out guys! The teacher is Sophia, and the class is filled with Samantha and friends. Then, the last guy is Dr. Maxis. :D

Eh, a mall is pretty cliche for zombies nowadays though. Examples being L4D, Dead Rising, The Walking Dead... etc. All those at one point had zombie-infested malls scenarios. Zombies would just be following the tradition. I want something more with a more uneasy setting like Verruckt had. With the scary sounds and screaming and all. I was actually kinda hoping for some return to the deserted and demolished aftermath of some foggy old Germany town and you could go in and out of houses and such. Think more like a NDU expansion with lots of building and all.
-
Hell they could really throw us through a loop and make it so the steps are random and different every time you start over.
-
Alternate endings would be cool. Kinda like how Moon had two parts, it would be cool if there were different ways to activate different things. Ascension's EE was easily set up like that, but they did that to mislead us and THINK there was something more. I just wish there actually was.
-
So, one of the biggest hits of the Blops Zombies maps had to be the revolutionary giant EE's started in Ascension. Which, I still think was one of the hardest and most tedious EE's to complete yet. In all the maps after that, it was like, once you had these weapons and these perks, it was easy as pie. Hell, the Moon EE was epic, but it practically did it itself! I was actually a little disappointed how easy it was to finally reveal Samantha. The one entity we all talked about and even feared since the Verruckt days! Anyways, I personally enjoyed the all the EE and it was a blast doing them, but, I'd say it's time Treyarch step it up a bit. First off, bring back the mini EE! Der Riese was FILLED with all kinds of hints and EE being the "home base" for the Rise and Fall of 935. So many papers, radios, written messages, etc. were all scattered around the map with it's own "biggish" EE, the Fly Trap. I remember the first time that started, I was tripping out! I played with some randoms and they told me to shoot the switch. Once those items lifted, and Sam began to giggle, I thought I was f*cked haha Second, Hide the radios I liked how in Ascension, the radios spawned in a sequence, but for the most part, they were kinda in plain sight. I found the first 3 without even trying. I want to have to have to actually look and find, maybe even MOVE stuff just to find some radios. I remember when people first showed where the two radios in Kino were. One was even OUTSIDE the map! I think they should be more cleverly hidden like that and even do something where like if you plant a claymore in a specific spot and it is triggered, there's a breakable wall with some sort of hidden armory or office with some clues. If the radios, papers or anything was more like "hide and seek" rather than "stumble upon", it would be a lot more interesting I think. Third, The big EE. Uncovering more parts to the storyline though step-by-step EE was exciting and chilling, asking yourself "What now! What do we do!" and frantically searching the map for any clues one what to do next was so fun. Youtube was scattered with all the videos of people freaking out once something new happened and you'd get all excited and want to try it yourself. The only problem was, we're so damn good, we eventually uncover it all in about a day in a half, tops. I remember in Der Riese, people were STILL finding new stuff well after MW2 was released and all. So, I say in some of the next EE's to come, Treyarch should back off and stop walking us through them so much. A lot of the steps were hinted at by the previous, and it became really obvious what was suspicious in every map. Remember in Der Riese when you would go up to the billboards with all the plans and Hold X and they would comment or grunt about it? Or even, the brick that would disappear, revealing a note. They should have some steps like that where it's something you happened to just "fall" into while playing and have steps that don't make much sense. It could even be something like shooting a barrel that explodes and breaches a wall, or opening a desk that has parts to some blueprints or even, bloody foot steps that lead somewhere. I personally would like to have some EE that reveals Dr. Maxis now or something to that extent. Answer some more questions in a much more cryptic way. Anyways, I'm just rambling on now. But one of the main things that got me the most interest in zombies were the EE. And I want to have more that aren't as "predictable" in the next CoD. :)

When you run full map, do you stop in places? Or just continue in a steady pace? Because I've found if you stop and wreck parts of the train in the long hallways, it's pretty manageable. Really the only weakness that strategy has are the stairways, because if zombies meet you half way, they have a chance to gang up on you. On co-op, I usually choose to spawn on the side with jug and make are way to the bathroom area and hold out there, having one take the window in the back, and the power room once its opened, and the other take the hallway of the room you came from until it starts to becoming a bit overwhelming. Then, open all the doors and move at a steady pace while the zombies spawn. Once they stop spewning for the moment, stop at either the same bathroom, or the long hallway/room with the Thompson and shoot them until they start coming from the direction you are looping.

Well yeah, I could tell in a heartbeat it was fake, but that's not to shabby for some Game cover art.
-
Even better, I've got a playlist for each zombies map with nothing but scary music from other games and such with the EE song being at the end for ultimate effect. I jump when I play like that. :D
-
I'd say the posters in Kino are a fairly big indication of what it's really like to have the power from Aether.

Haha this isn't FEAR, but I always did have the feeling Sam was going pop out of nowhere if you pissed her off enough in Der Riese. :D

*Nazi Zombie Prestige Emblems - Idea for next game*
Undead replied to Undead's topic in Single Player
Aye, but the illuminati first appears on the Television screens in FIVE, where was one of FIVE's main easter eggs. Not to mention, the pyramid is one American money, So, it was more appropriate as Prestige 5. Even further so, The lighthouse is where Richtofen acquired the Golden Rod, their fore having a higher purpose. -
I kinda wish they did a thing where if you prestige at all, not matter which game it is, you would earn a prestige token.
-
Well, then I guess at the worst you would just ignore it and think nothing of it. Problem solved.
-
If a map can give that spooky feel, I'm happy. I wanna feel like it's only a matter of time, rather than, Where do I start?

The idea for the lighthouse was for purpose of displaying the main element for COTD's EE. So, I wanted a part of the third party groups like the FIVE posse and COTD crew to have some specific recognition. -

Yeah, but it's kinda random. (At least more so in WaW, between rounds 4-7 actually) And hey, it makes sense for Blops 10th prestige, the spider, to be eighth too, right? Nah, just messing. But it'll be a lot less confusing just to go by what I've got already. -
If they add anymore perks, I'd like to see them do something much like they did on COTD with the PaP machine and every so often, rotate which perks spawn. For example, The game spawns with Jug, Stamin Up, Double Tap and Deadshot. After 3 minutes, they shuffle, and a different set of four spawn in the same places, each time being completely random.

Welp, I just added 6-10 and kinda got sloppy because I had to draw them so small for them to fit and did a lot of erasing but, that's why I left a description, lol. -
Running loops around the entire map is a lot easier when done in Co-Op. That way, you can always have someone watching the back and the front. Plus, there's so many grenade locations, you can practically survive off of just throwing grenades behind you.
