PHD Flopper- Dead or alive?

Ok, so now we are CONFIRMED to have sliding in this game. So what does that mean for PHD flopper?

I have 3 solutions:

-1: PHD flopper is replaced with PHD slider and new effects are given on top of the splash damage and fall damage protection.

-2: PHD flopper enables the ability to dolphin-dive. So once you pick up the perk your movement changes to holding B and running results in a dolphin dive.

-3: They tease us again with a PHD flopper machine we won't be able to access.

What are your thoughts?

It will probbaly be the second option.

I mean they are hyping zombies up so much, I doubt they will be too lazy to code in the dolphin dive.

I mentioned this months ago about one of the interviews when the game was first revealed, but one of the Treyarch  guys was wearing a shirt and it had flopper on it.

Pretty sure it was Vahn, and he had the epic six pack shirt on.

Sorry it was Lamia not Vahn, and I found the video, but can't post because i'm on mobile.

PHD has to be included!

It likely will, it's effects on fall damage and splash damage are helpful as themselves. But the whole reason it's called flopper is that you flop with it to create a massive explosion. Only now, we can't flop.  PHD... Slider?

Perks aren't even confirmed in the maps, it has a high chance of not being in the Giant and Shadows of Evil has those gumball machines that have different locations, it doesn't look like perks are even in that map.

I think we can all agree that if Flopper is back, that it will be a completely different perk. PHD 2.0 seems more likely then them giving us the dolphin dive ability through the perk imo.

The fall and explosive damage, with maybe an increased explosive damage radius, or as PHD Slider as mocking suggests. I hope it's back, they know we want it, they gave it to us in Origins, so hopefully with SOE taking a lot of inspiration from MOTD, and Origins, it is back in some form.

I would even enjoy the PHD perma crap thing from Buried.

I think Perks will more than likely will be in Black Ops 3. Those gumballs only seem to have temporary effects. I mean, they are including a Juggernog mini-fridge with the special edition, but then again that could just be the case since it's more recognizable than a gumball machine. I'm guessing something has changed about the Perks, but what I don't know.

About PHD, is it possible that there's no sliding in Zombies at all, and it's just dolphin-diving like usual? Or like BestOfAllTime mentioned, it could just come back as a 2.0 Perk with sliding abilities instead of dolphin-diving.

Sliding is confirmed to be in the game, you can see it in the trailer for SoE. I am not saying perks won't come back, but it looks unlikely for SoE that they will. It would just be easier to introduce a new perk that has the effects of PHD minus to the flopping, it is already an OP perk and they did cut some perks from Ascension which ended up being mixed into one perk which was PHD.
