Spectator Mode - A New Take On A Classic Matchh

Recommended Posts

Hello there.

Throughout the ages of Zombies, many have called for a player limit upwards of 4, the current max for a proper game. I am here to propose a new feature which I believe should be added to the next instalment of zombies, Spectator Mode!

What Spectator Mode would allow would be for more than the maximum amount of players for the match to join, but not in play. That is right, they are able to join only to spectate. This way, someone could join simply to observe a game, but not affect it in any way possible. This means that, even if there were 18 people in a game, only the amount for 4p Zombies would spawn. The Spectator Players are not counted as real characters.

A player in Spectator Mode would not be hearable by default by an in game player, and would be unable to be heard at all unless the in-game player went into the Back/Select menu and pressed Y/, which would display a toggle-able expansion to the leaderboard which showed the players in Spectator Mode, and allowed the players to unmute them.

There could be a max of 16 players in Spectator Mode and 4 players in game.

I believe that this would be a good addition to Zombies as it would allow people to have their friends even in a full game, and it would be good for tournaments such as the Olympics, as it would allow for full teams.

Thanks for reading this random idea. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

EVEN BETTER:

If a player times out, leaves, or disconnects by any means, a spectator will be selected at random to fill the gap, players will not have to stop their leader board, or easter egg progress, as well if the original person returns to spectator mode the new player has the option by pushing back, Y, (select player with D-Pad), start and swapping their consciousness out for the other player!
