  1. I know there is a thread on how to use the spoiler tab, but I am useless on a pc, for future reference can someone give a more detailed description of how to use the spoiler tab? I read the thread before posting, clicked what I believed to be the spoiler tab, and all it did was change the text to italic.
  2. @Rissole Had that exact same problem eearlier today, myself being the player draining lives towards the end of the game. An option to give a life to a teammate if you so wish, or a revive system similar to regular zombies would work better. You can't carry a player in DOA like you can in regular zombies. One weak link and the whole team suffers which makes it even harder to get anywhere in public lobbies, but you could argue that adds to the challenge of the game mode. @Stop mocking me0 I hope it remains a top down shooter, but having seen the PC 1st person version, that would be a nice addition if it was unlockable or an additional game mode, but I doubt it will happen.
  3. Seemed appropriate to play a little dead ops today. Finally managed to beat the cosmic silverback but was carried. There are still really good players playing this mode in public lobbies. The 2 people I played with both had legit round 90+ and were top 100 on the leaderboards. One was really humble and when I explained I was a noob was happy to show me the ropes, the other was mad as hell and quit once we got to 41 because I was too much of a burden. Always puzzles me when people have an ego when playing, I don't care how many times people go down as long as they don't glitch or rage and are willing to learn. Still, happy to finally get past round 40.
  4. @Lenne I genuinly apologize if i posted anything you consider spoilers, I tried to use the spoiler tab but couldn't get it to work and I feel like a bit of a hypocrite having been extremely critical of the leaked PC files. However, I didn't think the achievements were leaked information, they were posted for every AW dlc and openly discussed by members. Whilst it is not for any one member to define what can and can't be discussed (myself included), I am still against anything being reported online being up for discussion. There was information in the leaked PC files that didn't really spoil much at all (perk jingles, round start sounds, etc) but there was also information that if openly discussed and dissected here could almost be seen as cheating or unfairly getting ahead of the game ( I'm not going to directly mention them) and things like unheard easter egg songs and audio qoutes which I feel are meant to be enjoyed during the 1st play through of the map. But it is a minefield as to what can or cannot be discussed.
  5. I would argue that it is random. Having the chance of obtaining a good weapon once in every 5 hits is still getting reward. Bar bus depot and nacht, there is no need to hit the box before round 25 - 30 anyway by which point you should have enough points to pull whichever gun you desire. Take the survival maps as an example. If playing solo on bus depot, hit the box until you get the ray gun (shouldn't take more than 10-15 hits but sometimes you won't get it, that's the beauty of zombies). Then use the ray gun until round 20ish and get your points in the 75,000 to 100,000 range. Keep a crawler and hit the box until you get the mark 2 taking every weapon to speed up the process. You can almost guarantee you will pull the mark 2 with that number of points and the process shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes. The game rewards you for being patient. If you acquire enough points, then within reason you can pull whichever gun you desire from the box. I often cycle weapons in the box and points is the only obstacle. It won't work every game but if you played the 1st 25 rounds of Der Riese with a Thompson and mustangs and then used the points acquired to whore the box, in a couple of games you would have the wunderwaffe that you desire.
  6. I hope the mystery box and weapons will remain as it is now, obviously with a few new additions. The mystery box is supposed to be a gamble so I feel that 4 out of 5 weapons obtained should be equal to or worse than the wall weapons available. @TimelordAlex You left because you obtained the executioner? IMO the voice of justice is more useful than the mark 2 for the first 30 rounds. I don't like to train early on, so the ammo goes much further with single shot over 3 round burst and I believe with double tap the executioner is 1 hit kill til at least round 17.
  7. I agree it should be up for discussion, but I am torn as to how much information I personally want to know. Like I said, the perk jingles and round start music doesn't bother me, but there were files being uploaded late last night that may spoil easter egg steps/weapon unlocks/ciphers and they were still being uploaded when I gave up and went to bed. They were all available for download before they were removed this morning, so I would assume in the next couple of weeks new audio files are going to be getting leaked everywhere.
  8. Ok cool , just didn't wanna post anything I shouldn't. Gotta admit, I was massively excited listening to those jingles and DOA songs last night, but there comes a point where too much information is going to spoil the game on launch. Did you hear the file I am referring to relating to The Giant? (may be fake). Also there were all those sword quotes which I'm sure will be deciphered before the map has been played. If this is a leak, I am surprised they have been that naive.
  9. So are we still allowed to discuss the audio files now that they have been removed? Says on the link that a DMCA notice was served by Treyarch. Given the files that had been uploaded initially, I thought this was intentional as they really didn't give much away but there was a file uploaded that if genuine, was story related to The Giant so I assume this is now a leak?
  10. Anyone else having issues with xbox live service on 360? In the past couple of months mine has been down more times than I can count. Upgrading next month, and whilst I want an xbox one as it's where most of my friends are, that PS4 is looking more and more appealing

Xbox live has been shit the past few months tbh on 360, constantly disconnected out of zombie matches and unable to sign in. It has been affecting a lot of people and the fact that it occurred multiple times within a few months makes me wonder whether they've fixed the problem, they ought to give out 1 month free live gold to everyone as an apology

  11. It's been a great week for zombies! Really enjoyed the hunt on exo-zombies and it's exciting that undiscovered things were found. When it comes to the game files/pc code I have no clue what I'm talking about, but if they really showed everything wouldn't these trophies have been found on exo-zombies a long time ago? I've had my fill of exo-zombies at the mo, so I might hop on Tranzit and test it out. If it's legit, it opens up a more open approach to searching the treyarch maps for things, and might help fill that void til BO3 drops.
  12. The BO1 crawler mechanic is easily the best and easiest to use, but I prefer the respawn on BO2 (if you move across the map quickly zombies will respawn in front of you, in BO1 once all the zombies have spawned you can move anywhere on the map without causing then to respawn). I think the 2 come hand in hand as for crawlers not to die, there would have to be no respawn trigger by moving a certain distance away from the zombie (this is the case for survival maps in BO2). I prefer the respawn in BO2 as I think it adds to the challenge, but having said that you can override the respawn anyway by slowing your movement and keeping the zombies trained tight as you move through the map. So yeah, bring back crawlers that don't die it's more enjoyable to have that freedom to search for items/clues.
  13. awkward moments with a woman from xbox live support. Jane : So the game you are having issues with is ' The Reverse Cowgirl'? Me : 'The Reverse Cowgirl'? Lol. No, the game I am having issues with is Gta V. Won't allow me to play once download is complete. Jane : Your purchase history says the last game you purchased was 'The Reverse Cowgirl'. Me : I can assure you it wasn't! Jane : I will provide a link to your billing information. Me : Ah, that's a tv episode not a game. Jane : Ok, no problem. To each their own. Me : It's a South Park episode! Jane : Sure it is! I was in stitches

Aw Dave, I have had a few funny conversations with the Xbox Live team before as well when doing the live chat. I think they like to troll people a lot. lol

  14. I am essentially a casual player and most of my games I play are co-op and for fun and these strategies never come into play. And I'm not someone who thinks you have to run to be a man, I love a good camping strategy but the key word is strategy. I see very little of it when using these camping spots (although not saying it's completely unskilled, there are fail points). And I did make a decision after using the Die Rise strategy that I would not try and improve my rounds on Buried or Origins as I don't care for the strategies. Although I mainly play co-op, high rounds is something I would like to get more involved in. Whether that means investing in some recording equipment or just doing it for the in game leaderboards. No you do not have to use these strategies but you have to compete against them. If you are trying to compete for rounds it is counter productive to use a strategy that takes twice as long. But again, I agree and would choose not to compete for leaderboards on those maps. In terms of time, I'm not too sure on Origins but round 100 on Die Rise took me 5 hours. I have since seen it done in 3 hours 20 minutes (MrLatios721) so if you're saying round 100 took 7 hours 20 minutes then the difference is 4 hours which is pretty substantial.
  15. @Chopper I agree that there are fun aspects of those weapons and of course the game can be played a number of different ways and you can choose not to use those strategies. However, I wouldn't go as far as to say that only noobs, glitchers or twats use those strategies. The camping strats on Die Rise and Origins are used by high round players who sit in the top positions on zombierecords and are considered legit strats. For high rounds most players are always going to use the quickest legit strategy. I am having problems uploading any videos but I am sure you have seen most of these strategies anyway. TheSpaceMarine360 is in top position for Die Rise with round 117 and for the most part uses the 2 spawn camping strat in the elevator shaft (after patch). I have also used this strategy to reach round 100 on this map and can honestly say I felt no sense of achievement in doing so and consider much lower solo rounds on Nuketown and Bus Depot as bigger accomplishments as I had to 'work' a bit more for my kills in these games with the lack of an overpowered wonder weapon. To be fair Origins can't be camped as easily as Die Rise. But the ice staff can still be used to camp into the 70's with rounds taking 2.5-3.5 minutes and essentially you are just shooting one spot on the floor. Using it as shown in your video, I appreciate shows it in a much better light. In that instance it is no more OP than the thundergun. IMO, the leaderboards are much more competitive on maps where the WW doesn't allow for such easy gameplay. So from that perspective, those weapons have spoiled those maps slightly for me and I hope that when they are designing WW's for the next game it is something they take into consideration. If a WW has the ability to take out a full hoard on any round, then make it single shot. If it can chain react/ have an effect that lasts for a considerable amount of time then the damage should start to fall to compensate. I think I'm digressing slightly from the OP anyway, but my point is that for the progression of this game in terms of gameplay, I don't think these weapons were very well designed.
  16. It's an interesting topic of discussion, but a lot more than the power of a wonder weapon should be assessed when discussing which is best or worst. For me, I would rate the sliquifier, paralyzer and the staffs as some of the worst wonder weapons designed by treyarch. The sliquifier will kill without making crawlers until round 100 which would be fine without the chain reaction. Die rise was one of my favourite maps on black ops 2 until I discovered the camping strategies used to obtain high rounds. Negative, anti-gaming, sit in a corner tactics that make size, features and challenges implemented in the design of the map almost pointless. Same goes for Origins and the ice staff. If treyarch take one lesson from bo2 it should be any WW with a delayed effect, chain reaction or that slows the zombies down is a massive negative for the gameplay and strategies of those maps. The thundergun was one hit kill and could clear a hoard, but because the weapon was one shot, at least it couldn't be used to pass through rounds past 60 in a couple of minutes. An infinite kill weapon should have no delayed effects and very limited ammo to balance it and stop it being OP. A WW should be fun to use, and/or should have some sort of team benefit when playing co-op therefore my top 5 would be: Wave/zap guns Scavenger 31-79 JGb215 Blundergat ( temporary distraction whilst reviving on map with no quick revive) VR-11 (requires teamwork to be effective co-op)
  17. Have relied on/used digital downloads on 360 for the past 18 months or so with no issues. Just bought gta v as it's on offer and when I try to launch get 'disc unreadable'. What?! There is no disc!

  18. Some really funny videos, as for Origins I seem to have a different issue with that map every time I play it. I've had the freeze about 10 times, multiple tank deaths and have also encountered the invisible panzer soldat. I was really jammy, but somehow managed to take him down. What theatre mode saw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjSJgJ58MXI What I saw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qpnTk1bG7w
  19. Thanks for the welcome everybody No problem, I remember you. You used to go by your steam name over at activision didn't you? thecalmquail? I was obsessed with working out the wind puzzle as everybody knew how to line up the ceiling tiles correctly, but no one could explain how to solve the puzzle.
  20. Hello, my name is Dave. I have been a reader of these pages for a while, but have never got round to registering up until now. I am a member of the activision forums and have been for a couple of years, but would always come here for story based information as that is where my knowledge is severely lacking. With the activision BO2 forums very quiet now and their AW zombies forum almost non existent from the get go, it seems that this is the place to be to discuss anything zombies related! There are many things I would like to discuss/comment on regarding Outbreak/AW zombies as well as information I would like to learn regarding the storyline of Treyarch zombies. I look forward to debating and discussing topics with you guys sometime soon.
