  1. this is like the Livingstone Mine argument, that was just a nod to a Treyarch developer, and this is more then likely the same, sometimes people on this forum take things too seriously and think everything has a meaning, through I could be wrong, it's just way tons more likely Not that I have definitive proof ethier, I am also in the camp of the BO2 Maps (sans MOTD and Origins) taking place in the 60's
  2. I'll make this easy. There is 10% chance of booze respawning in Cell. I'm guessing it's mathematical then as opposed to proximity to player based. I must have missed a post somewhere. This is interesting. good to know.
  3. I have countlessly seen many people state the beauty ad in Die Rise that states (since 1996) is definitive proof the map takes place after 1996 and in 2025. I am here to disprove that. I believe the real meaning of the sign is a nod to Treyarch. You see, Treyarch as a company was founded in what year? 1996... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treyarch the sign is just a nod to Treyarch. and it does not mean anything.
  4. It has to be the such battle from the Russo-Japanese War, as the only other notable incident involving Mukden took place in 1931 to start the Second Sino-Japanese War, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Mukden also, interesting theory, I like it, might explain his hatred for Nikolai.
  5. Not much difference, but the first four letters were all dated in 1917 and detailed them leaving for there mission in Northern France, these letters are prove enough that the map has to take place between the latest letter written in 1917 and the end of World War I on November 11, 1918, as after that they would have no reason to investigate a Trench and Giant Metal Men, or that the Kaiser's War Machine was creating weird weapons. my take on it.
  6. Interesting, I am glad they are releasing more letters, but the timeframe does not match up, and the map still must take place near the end of 1917
  7. Welkom Nick-son, I may be busy in Angola helping these insane German's, but I have time to say hi to you. :D
  8. Wow, I had never even thought about this possibility, GENIUS!!! GENIUS I TELL YOU, WUNDERBAR. BRAINS FOR YOU, +1 COMRADE
  9. When most Zombie Games take place in the modern day and feature countless Assault Rifles and Shotguns It was a unique set of weapons, but they justify it by being lazy to recode it.
  10. You mean 1946. Or 48+. Not that reasonable. You obviously haven't been around any 48 year old Marines.. They'd kick your ass with ease. This is agreed, through out of all of them Nikolai seems the least realistic, he seems to have forgot to take care of himself in between the World War's.
  11. I might be way off but the RUVA thing means nothing, FEAR in Black Ops 1 was a weird coincidence (or not) but hey. I don't know, I don't know all the answers. Still, well thought out post, +1 to you my good friend.
  12. Ascension is probably my favorite BO1 map, but I could care less for PhD or Stamin-Up, but hey.
  13. This is entirely conceivable and reasonable, at least in my opinion, and it's not completely impossible at 41 they could still be in the Army (through unlikely at the ranks they were supposedly at, that is besides Richtofen's Major General)
  14. Here's brains for you as well, I almost forgot as I am drunk as a skunk (or was at least). The bold I exactly agree with, Samantha didn't have or more likely wasn't aware that she did, while Richtofen (and Maxis) are.. and thanks.
  15. I completely agree with this. you get brains from me, it is my belief that Yellow is the natural color of the Zombies eyes, and Samantha, being so young and naïve did not understand the full potential of her ability and power, and thus was not able to change the colors of the eyes, hence why they are yellow for her.
  16. Yeah, the time period would yield towards MotD. Eye color definitely means something though, in terms of who we find out is in control. This would, in turn, provide answers to other questions and so on. Sam also was a child when she entered the MPD, so she was innocent and naive. She probably didn't understand the power she had, hence perhaps she didn't harness it fully (leading to what you said, Samantha kept them). Either way, I can't wait to find out! Yeah, this is how I see it, Samantha was young and naïve and did not know the full extent of her powers, and thus could not harness them fully, hence everything looking the way it did, through her naïve and being a child is the whole reason for the prominence of the Teddy Bears, Eye Color is very important, historically yellow belongs to Samantha, but it appears that was not always the case, as here in Origins, Samantha wasen't even born yet and was not going to be born for another decade and a half, while blue belongs to Richtofen and Orange to Maxis. ethier way, it will be interesting to find out what the eye color means in Origins, weather it has anything to do with who controlled the Zombies in MoTD or anything at all, it will be interesting.
  17. It's in my opinion the eye color doesn't nessacarily mean anything, the eyes are probably the natural color of the Zombies, and Samantha just kept them. If anyone is in control, it's whoever was in control in MoTD, or someone else.
  18. Despite the fact I absoulutely loath and despise the N4, I don't think they are dead. there story isen't done. sadly.
  19. Der Reise? why, everything about that map is just so perfect, everything works, not too outlandish or crazy, everything is just in unison.
  20. But that's where our opinion differs. I actually really liked the N4. They brought something fresh the O4 could not provide. Were they replacing the O4? Defiantly not. It just that this portion of the story was told through their eyes. I don't think it was a mistake to tell the story through a set of different eyes. A different perspective, a fresh view on things, and a chance to provide fresh side-stories that had nothing to do with Group 935 or the Vril-Ya. It was well needed to have a set of new characters to co-exist along with the O4, as they were getting repetitive and stale. Could the N4 have been better? Yes, and so could the maps to reflect them (Die Rise could've been made Broken Arrow's HQ, much needed backstory on Russ and Stuh would've been given, but nope). But they weren't as bad as most people made them out to be. Oh no, I'm not saying they weren't bad characters, they did bore me in Tranzit, but they got better developed in Die Rise and Buried. I don't mind them, but the amount of people who are almost revolting that the O4 need to be back are being noticed by Treyarch. I personally found them to be really crappy characters (besides my girl Misty), they were all under developed, boring, annoying to listen too and had no substance, they were just, bleh, bland and lifeless, Zombies hasen't been the same for me since the O4 were replaced by the N4/T4 (Not that I didn't like Tranzit, Die Rise and Buried, I do, but I DESPISE THE N4) I hate pretty much everything about the N4, so I am a happy camper with Origins.
  21. A Cinematic Intro with the O4? sign me up to watch that all day!
