4/30 Update: Leonard Reiffel In the BO3 "Only the Cursed Survive" poster, there is a cityscape at the bottom which has been revealed to be Chicago (thanks to @PINNAZ ) It got me to researching Chicago, and it's notable citizens whom could possibly relate to the zombies storyline. There was an individual by the name of Leonard Reiffel, and the man has collaborated with members of Operation Paperclip. Specifically (borrowing from wiki), "Reiffel collaborated with German scientists recruited in America as part of Operation Paperclip, working on an early prototype for a railgun." At the University of Chicago's Institute for Nuclear Studies, Reiffel helped construct a Cyclotron (high energy beam, particle accelerator). Imagine how shocked I was to learn that Leonard Reiffel led Project A119 - the plan to detonate a nuclear warhead on the moon. (more information on Project A119 Below) Reiffel also was a consultant to NASA on the Apollo program about the chance of there being life on the Moon (he later became deputy director of the "life on the moon" project). Will Chicago have any significance, other then a location? Hard to say. If we're able to time travel, anythings possible - even going through with Project A119 (whatever that would achieve). Regardless, Reiffel's connection the Moon, and the nazis is interesting. Just food for thought, really. ------------------------------------ ------------------------------------- Also, I've found the full document for Project A119: http://nsarchive.gwu.edu/NSAEBB/NSAEBB479/docs/EBB-Moon02.pdf Happy reading!

James C. Burns talks about the "EVO-lution" of Black Ops.
GRILL replied to JuggerWicho's topic in General Discussion
Honestly, with the whole exo vs. evo thing, I think he is saying that there is a difference between just adding a feature to a game mode, as opposed to adapting the game mode itself (which could include new features as well). i love Burnsy, but I think he's just having a piss. Leading up to BO2, he made it seem like sgt. Frank woods would appear in zombies. He knows people eat this up, and let's face it - we enable this to happen to ourselves i take anything he says with a dump truck full of salt. Regardless thanks for posting this Wicho. -

I've been meaning to post this, I posted it in the original thread right around the time posts stopped showing up. I feel like out of all the imagery we've gotten in these teasers, there is an abundance of nature - namely forests. It really got me thinking about the symbolism of a forest (or "frozen forest") which in turn got me researching the symbolism: "The forest is a symbol of the unconscious, a picture of archetypal patterns of the collective unconscious. Frequently, these are to behavioral patterns that are known from fairy tales, myths and legends. The forest is synonymous with mysterious, adventurous and demonic, that our ego plunges from one adventure to another." I completely agree that we may have an "animus" type situation here. The forest of ones unconscious/subconscious could hide important details, and it could aid the plot. I'd love it if 3arc included subconscious levels, exploring your forest. Could also incorporate past lives, different dimensions. The options are limitless. Really impressed with the depth of this viral campaign, 3arc have outdone themselves in a truly psychedelic way.

Black Ops 3 Cover Art & Description
GRILL replied to LiamFTWinter's topic in BOIII News & Announcements
I am fully confident that there will be an option to choose between "classic" and exo zombies. Maps can easily be built to accommodate both, and it could actually create some serious replayability. Like exos? Here you go. Don't like exos? Here you go. Also, I'm sure it was developed for current gen and will be ported to last gen. Treyarch have the capacity to do some amazing shit, let's hope they deliver. -
2000 posts! Alright alright alright.
