  1. Just a heads up there's no option for Der Eisendrache in the LFG. But if anyone wants to play on PS4 my psn is Xperiment117 ;)
  2. That's awesome! I guess we know what the new equipment is for lol
  3. Also this explains that if Campaign mode was the Player's last dying dream then Nightmares is the Player's last dying nightmare. LOL sneaky Treyarch
  4. Slowing down the mission start text shows us the TRUE campaign story. Link: https://www.reddit.com/r/blackops3/comments/3s8jkq/massive_spoilers_discovered_something_huge/ *START QUOTE* Spoilers for the whole campaign, don't say I didn't warn you. So...I've noticed a distinct lack of discussion about the campaign here, which is understandable. Most CoD fans consider the campaign to be nothing more than a fun little distraction. For those who played it, most are terribly confused, especially by the ending. Personally, while it isn't standard CoD fare, I enjoyed it very much. Enough conspiracy and mystery to keep me entertained. I started a new playthrough on Realistic. While I was loading up the first mission, I remembered something: that scrolling text at the beginning of each mission that moves too fast to read, I wanted to see if I could read it this time around! So I opened up Youtube and went to a lets play, slowed the speed, and read it. The first mission's text reveals something huge. Since I found no one else who had the text available (or even discussing this) I have transcribed it here: OCT 27th, '65. At approx. 14:00 hours we recieved word that HVI Egyptian Minister Said had been located at an NRC airfield in the Ethiopian Simien Mountain Range. Following the NRC's recent defeats in Cairo, SOCWA had reason to believe the Minister was to be made "an example of", in retaliation. Mission Priority was to extract the Minister via an EXFIL drone located outside of the principal AO. Airspace window was limited, mission success relied on the hacking of the site's DEAD system. We moved at 21:00 hrs. The operation was coordinated between two teams. Primary was my team- WA Black Cyber Ops Division comprised of Specialists Sebastian Diaz, Sarah Hall, and Peter Maretti. Secondary was WASF, led by CO Hendricks and a bunch of new faces. Plan was that my team would keep the NRC occupied while WASF moved to secure the HVI for extraction. Here's the first part, nothing too complicated mostly just detailing the plans for the mission and the roles each group would play. One thing of note however, is that the report is written in the past tense, rather than future, implying that the mission report is a framing device to tell the story of this first mission. Moving on... Personal Disclosure: This operation was my first time working with Hendricks since #61-63-68-75. He notcied the scarf on my arm and asked about Rachel, I guess he hadn't heard about our separation. Now this is notable: Rachel Kane, your CIA handler later in the game, was involved with Taylor at some point. This will come into play later. As you no doubt already know, the operation did not go as planned. WASF discovered additional hostages on site, among them Lt. Khalil- captured by NRC at Lotus Towers and previously assumed KIA. Wait a minute...Wasn't Lotus Towers the location of the second to last mission of the game? You, as the "Player" fought alongside Lt. Khalil and Rachel Kane there in order to capture the CORVUS-infected Taylor. Near the end of the mission, Kane states that Lt. Khalil's position is being overrun, and that's the last you hear of him. If he's not killed in that fighting, then he would likely be taken prisoner. Now isn't that odd? This reveals that Lt. Khalil participated in another campaign at Lotus Towers and faced capture there as well, five years (?) before fighting there alongside the Player. Initially I stuck to protocol and denied Hendricks' request to extract- with our limited window for extraction, I did not believe we had time to secure both the Minister and additional hostages. However- after some deliberation, I changed my mind. I made the call to return for the other captives- while Hendricks' team moved to EXFIL. Though the drone was able to secure the Minister and Khalil- the others were not so lucky. Hendrick's VTOL was forced out of the airspace with his team still on the ground. Though they tried to fight back, they were quickly surrounded and overrun by NRC bipedal robots. Most did not survive. Most of this info is already known, and it does not reveal much. However... I'd like to state for the record- the responsibility for the outcome rests solely with myself. No blame should be apportioned to Hendricks- even though he directly challenged my orders. I was the one who decided to break protocol and return for the other hostages. Even in light of the tragic consequences of my decision, I do believe that trying to save the lives of our allies was indeed the right thing to do. This I think is a good insight into Taylor's character, deliberate and responsible, one who does not hold grudges, and someone who values human life, both of his teammates and any allies and civilians caught in the crossfire. A striking contrast to his later portrayal, which is obviously due to the mind virus of CORVUS. However, it calls into question one common interpretation of the ending: Taylor's consciousness overtaking the players. Anyone who has finished the game knows how it ends, the Player is asked their name and they respond with "Taylor." This is incredibly open-ended and subject to many different interpretations, though one of the more common ones I've seen is that Taylor's consciousness took over your body. What reason would he have to do this? He's fully willing to give his life for others and is not selfish at all. In the Lotus Towers mission, he kills himself to stop the spread of CORVUS' infection. It is very clear that he is a good man who was compelled to do terrible deeds by a malevolent force. This look into his character definitely clashes with that theory, though its by no means a definitive debunking. But anyways, here's how the report ends, which reveals so much in so little words. The sole survivor of Hendricks' team was taken to the Zurich facility to undergo emergency lifesaving procedures.After being stabilized, they were quickly identified as a potential candidate for the expansion of the Cyber Ops program, and were fitted with a DNI. Prior to limb replacement surgery and full body augmentation, I personally interfaced to assist with their integration, acclimation, and training. They had potential. Unfortunately, complications arose during the procedure- They were pronounced dead shortly thereafter. Yep. You died. The Player, the man or woman you played through the whole campaign as, died after the beginning of the first mission. Everything after that (other than possibly parts of mission 2, as it is a simulation in your comatose mind) was an elaborate dying dream that was greatly enhanced by your new Direct Neural Interface. Just as important however, is this point: Prior to limb replacement surgery and full body augmentation, I personally interfaced to assist with their integration, acclimation, and training. Taylor interfaced with your DNI, stepped into your mind. That's what you see in Mission 2, Taylor helping you train with his team, and helping you get used to your new systems. Sometime after, however, your life started slipping away. You ended up in this extremely realistic dream, generated by your wandering, withering mind interfacing with your DNI, creating an expansive simulation that you lived out the last moments of your life in. In all likelihood, it only lasted a few hours in real time, with you dying shortly after complications first arose. Whose to say that your mind wouldn't interpret your simulated dream as happening across a much larger span of time though? Which brings me to the final point: all of the content of the dream that you play through for the rest of the game is based on Taylor's experience. Some of this experience is drawn from the Black Ops 3 prequel comic. In that comic, an allied squad, led by Dylan Stone, goes rogue, and Taylor's team comes to blows with them. Now, the Player lives this out in the dream, thanks to Taylor interfacing with the player's mind and sharing his thoughts and experiences. Instead of Dylan Stone going rogue, Taylor takes that role in this instance, with Hendricks and the Player(s) taking on Taylor's squads role. The only difference is a rogue AI is thrown in the mix, because dreams are imaginative and irrational by nature, and also seemingly because of the player character's distrust of robots and mechanical beings, due to their maiming. Additionally, Taylor's knowledge of the Lotus Towers engagements and Lt. Khalil's capture is what causes the player's similar experience in the second-to-last mission. Taylor interfacing with you also explains the Player becoming romantically involved with Rachel Kane, and also explains why it occurs when playing as a female character (which many other fans wrote off as just lazy writing, lesbianism notwithstanding), due to Taylor's prior relationship to her. Additionally, the out-of-place scene where Kane is sitting by the Player's bedside is explained by this; a dream where the Player subconsciously acknowledges that they are hospitalized and dying, being visited by a simulation of their "love interest." In that scene, Kane says she can't be with you anymore, but then shows up without any qualms in the next mission, seemingly having changed her mind. This explains that odd sequence of events. Finally, this explains the moments where your character seemingly zones out and loses track of time, and why they seemingly start going crazy in the final mission; your character is drawing their last breaths in real life. This, in my opinion, is also the best explanation for why the player answers "Taylor" when asked for their name at the end of the game. Since you've lived out Taylor's experiences and parts of his life in this elaborate dream, it would make sense that you'd subconsciously identify as him. So there you have it folks: it was all a dream. *END QUOTE*
  5. 4 red lights on the wall you say? Must be an achievement-checker like in Buried to see if all four players finished SOE's EE. JK. Maybe though. If anything though, four red lights might just indicate that each of the four players would have to do something individually to activate the lights.
  6. Not at 1am, Thursday's busy mornings for me. If you still need a guy by tomorrow afternoon I'll be on.
  7. Maybe like how we needed to have Call of the Dead and Shangri-La's Easter Egg done to complete Moon's, we need to have SOE's EE done to get the summoning key to do The Giant's. Also if that's true, then we'll need The Giant's EE done to complete DLC 1 and so forth until Richtofen fixes the universe or something else happens.
  8. I'm surprised no one has mentioned the new song on the map. It's a remix of Beauty of Annihilation. Two of the 'Press x for song' Brains are facing each other in the back of the kennels by the stairs. The remaining one is by Teleporter B in the room to the right.
  9. Maps are FIXED for NXOE users and the few Original Dashboard users who were having problems. Enjoy your weekend everyone!
  10. Everything for this game was developed natively for the PS4 (which I haven't heard much if any problems on that platform) but it seems that xbox and pc are getting the shaft on this one. Also to fix the Giant/Nuketown not showing up problem on Xbox One, just do a factory reset to the old dashboard. It'll work then. The reset can't delete your games/apps if you have an external ;) TBH this type of problem with the NXOE has been happening to all the newly released games (halo, 2kgames, BFH dlc, etc) it's really not Treyarch's or Activison's fault on this one though because it's all due to the latest NXOE update that all preview members got and that BO3 devs didn't have access to see if there were any probs.
  11. Activision is on the case! Do not worry xbox one players: https://twitter.com/ATVIAssist/status/662537010943496192
  12. BO3 released on November 6. -> Nov.6 -> NOVA6

    OR for early birds on November 5 -> 11/5 -> ELEMENT 115!

    Pretty sure this has been said already tho :) #feelthehype

  13. This happened to me as well! Nuketown and The Giant do not show in game. Do you have the NXOE dashboard for preview members? On a lot of forums this problem is said to only be affecting preview members :( Let me know if your fix hopefully works! *p.s. to those who can help* - I activated Dead Ops Arcade 2 but that also doesn't show in the Z menu...do I have to go and reactivate it every time I want to play DOA2?
  14. Hey Guys/Gals/Zombies, I'm Mario, also known on the many gaming platforms as: Xperiment 117. I'd like to let you all know how special CoD Zombies and this forum is to me. I started online gaming at the now common and generic ripe age of 12 and entered the CoD world soon after. World at War was literally the best thing I thought existed, at least until I stumbled across the hidden Nazi Zombies menu option. I'd found a passion of mine. During my formative high school days, the gknova online teaser about my favorite game mode was TEASING ME to the un-Death. I soon found CoDz and began my hobby of lurking. Treyarch's Z-mode brought me countless online friends who I eventually met and became great friends with. During the BO2 reveal days, I eventually joined CoDz and began my path across several online communities. The push and drive that I got through the socially-interactive and fun/puzzling gameplay among other things inspired me to go for my (soon to be completed) Business/IT degree. You may have seen a few of my posts, such as my BO2's Buried EE Infinity Round hint: http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/index.php?/topic/155828-buried-easter-egg-full-steps-both-sides/&do=findComment&comment=1448660 Or my Speed Run of AW's Infection EE: http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/index.php?/topic/178922-infection-easter-egg/&do=findComment&comment=1726989 I'd like you all to know that this community means a lot to me (even if I haven't been on much) and that if you ever get the chance to visit the U.S. Virgin Islands, I'll buy you all (Legal Drinking Age of 18 and up) drinks. ;) Anyways, Thanks for letting me share! And I'll definitely be online for the massively amazing launch of Black Ops 3 so hmu on LFG if you down to play!
  15. I'm livestreaming all day at twitch.tv/pelgaming Jump in!
  16. I'm off all day tomorrow! I live at the EST side I'll be livestreaming coverage of Origins all day on twitch looking for EE steps. (Me and friends found Round Infinity 8-) so yeah..) Add me on xbox and we'll play and play and play until you can't take it anymore :twisted:
  17. BaLLiiSTiC, I love your idea. It makes sense and could perfectly work out a whole new storyline for Treyarch's next zombie installment. If Treyarch pull off an idea better than yours....then DAMN.....this map's gonna be awesome :D
  18. This topic seemed relative to a post a made over in the FEAR TEDDY thread Stop arguing it makes you lot seem extremely immature. When has Treyarch ever done anything that was a coincidence? Since WaW they've always put little EEs in everything they've done for the community to solve. Remember GKNOVA6.com, the whole Resnov Conspiracy with campaign missions being related to zombies (I.E. 8 steps to freedom being one), and EVEN leaking BO2 map packs release dates in the freaking inspect element of GOOGLE FREAKING CHROME because they sure as hell didn't need to leave a placeholder for the maps in the website with dates of when they knew the maps were gonna release since it is illogical webpage designing to add highly unnecessary placeholders. Those were intentional extra page elements. My point is, this forum is about analyzing every detail of our beloved series and connecting them to highly improbable theories that somewhat make sense (Pinnaz and Naitrax are examples) and HAVE FUN DOING IT. 8-) Stop flaming. I am disappointed. :cry:
  19. Just gonna say... I believe the TEDDY anagram, if any possible anagrams could be made, would apply only to maps that featured the New Four as they had their own story-line canon. So FEAR TED. Honestly it might have been intended to be FEAR TEDDY since WaW alot of quotes were about the damn teddy bear but then TROLLARCH Treyarch probably said nah and implemented a funny joke or something about FEAR TEDDY in the new map. I could just imagine the O4 seeing the bear for the "first" time. 8-)
  20. - Taken from a thread I posted over in General Zombies section awhile back - http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=100&t=34563 So we know that the dev team's current focus is teasing the new map with 'Letters from the Field' and that these letters are obviously written by the original four. The letters are written during the beginnings of the zombie canon and emphasize that the O4 went to Northern France to gather intel. :!: Northern France = Paris Paris is located in Northern Central France and is a center for all things 'giant/metal' - as noted in the "Letters from the Field" - and is a homage reflective to our want for a Paris map here in the forums. Now there are theories of a water-centric map being next in line since we've had Fire, Air, and Earth as the center theme for all our recent canon maps. What body of water runs through Paris and would be an exciting core map design? - The Seine River. Also, the Seine River experienced severe overflow during the early 1900s - i.e. 1910 ~ 1924 era - causing significant flooding of Paris and other parts of Northern France. This would be an exciting game mechanic to have certain areas of the map flooded or even used as trap locations/EE requirements locations. Paris is the City of Lights. Powering the Giant Robot Man perhaps?
  21. It was the O4, but they are way younger in this dlc. Is this a prequel dlc? Is this dlc gonna show us the beginning while possible dlc 5 will show us the end? Either way I sense a dlc trailer coming out on Tuesday. :twisted:
  22. I could totally see there being a complete upgrade to the previous water-mechanics in 'Shi No Numa'. I could see maybe a few spots on the map being flooded and used as a water slide passageway in the same style that 'Shangri La' had water slides. Most likely any areas that would be flooded like 'Shi No Numa' would also slow down normal zombies and us, but not slow down any boss type zombies. If you remember the solo intro cutscene to 'Buried', you notice a part where the New 4 are running through a flooded alley way while shooting at zombies. Imagine areas on the new map like that where water-mechanics work almost perfectly. Perhaps even that scene was teased to us in anticipation for DLC 4 :?: Either way, I'd like to see thoughts on this topic. ~Still hoping for all-zombie DLC 5 ;)
  23. So we know that the dev team's current focus is teasing the new map with 'Letters from the Field' and that these letters are obviously written by the original four. This would be an exciting game mechanic to have certain areas of the map flooded or even used as trap locations/EE requirements locations. This all ties in rather well I suppose as a theory. However, - and this keeps calling out to me - what if this map is just a prequel to the zombie storyline where the good Doc. Richtofen kidnaps the other O3?.....leading into the final page of the comic book.....Der Riese redux/part deux! 8-) Idk.
  24. Based on how each new dlc is teased in the loading screen - and how we can see Der Riese's loading screen in the top right corner of Buried's screen - I say that we are going back to where it all started. Just like each map has a historical event name, location, and name - I.E. Resolution 1295, Primary Plates, Buried - I think DLC 4 will have in its full name somewhere either "The Factory" or just "Factory" based on Der Riese. This also ties into FEAR TEDDY. Thoughts?
