  1. i think this is a very good idea but have a 1 in 100 chance of spinning it for an upgraded gun. (not including porters x2 ray gun or mustang and sally or other wunderweapons) because i rarely use the box anymore.. just grab mp5 and im set, but the box giving me upgraded weapons would make me want to use it a lot more than i do. but all round i think this is a freaking amazing idea The Mustang and Sally isn't a wonder weapon, just saying And I don't know about this idea. The problem I have is, regardless of how hard they make it to get a PaP'ed weapon from the box, by round 20 i'm normally hitting about 30k points. I'm sure with 30k spent on the box i'm bound to get at least ONE PaP'ed, otherwise they've made it too hard to get them. Plus it would kind of make the Pack-A-Punch machine a little less helpful seeing as people may want to just spam the box and try and get some nice PaP'ed weapon instead of just PaP'ing their gun, so i'd personally not like to see this idea implemented in the game, however I can see why others would want this.
  2. I've just thought up a new idea for the easter egg in Die Rise. Everyone's expecting us to continue on from whichever choice we made in TranZit (Richtofen or Maxis). However, what if the EE is actually a completely seperate one? Like maybe helping someone new out (Like Brock and Gary from Shagri-La) or maybe even someone we already know (Helping the O4 get back to Earth, or maybe even the CoTD characters)? I think this would make an excellent twist on the EE and also Treyarch could suprise us with something we didn't expect. What do you guys think?
  3. I'll tell you one thing I don't understand- why do people asume that if Marlton is dead, he won't be involved in the story anymore? Just because someone's dead it doesn't mean they can't still be relevant. Maybe Marlton was a Group 935 or Illuminati spy who was working with Richtofen/ Maxis? Who knows, but all i'm saying is that people meed to realise that the death of a character doesn't mean their story dies woth them. We could easily discover more as the maps go on- there is going to be at least 3 more after Die Rise remember!
  4. Misty's parents were both killed before the apocalypse. She says this herself, so I honestly doubt that Dempsey is her father, in fact i'm going to go ahead and say it's not true. And I know you may say "What if she was adopted?", which is a valid point however i'm sure that age (what do you think, she's early-mid 20's?) her foster parents would have said something by now, also asides from her mannerisms and speech she bears no physical resemblance to Dempsey whatsoever (at least in my opinion), so I don't think it's true whatsoever, however I can see why some people may think so.
  5. I'm going to presume you meant to say "If people think Marlton is dead then Zombies is actually bananas" or something like that, and if that's the case then yeah it is. We went to the Moon for fuck's sake!
  6. My bad, thought it was me cos I mentioned Samuel in the comment right before haha But either way, Russman's in the trailer quite a bit and Samuel is important. 'Nuff said.
  7. Oh yeah, I remember then. People flipped out when Samuel only made, like 2 appearances in the Green Run trailer, and in both he had his back turned to the camera. Those silly people, turns out he had no importance at all. You know, besides being a huge part of the easter egg on Rictofen's side of the easter egg. *return-facepalm* Here's who I was quoting, dumbass. Not you, him, who talked about when Samuel made no facial appearances in the TranZit trailer. Not you and your 'lack of Russman' theory, HIM. So get YOUR crap right if you're gonna make me look dumb, asshole.
  8. I was gonna say "Samuel did have quite a bit of importance" haha :)
  9. I completely agree with you. Deep down I do doubt that they'd kill off a new character so early on and of course they may just be teasing us, but at the same time there could be some big story-related thing or reason behind killing him off so early on.
  10. I din't wanna sound like a dick or anything here, but actually thinking about it this doesn't make any sense. You claim quite clearly that Russman isn't in the trailer much (which is wrong, he's in it quite often) and then tell people to not talk about Marlton not being in the trailer because it's not official. Also, don't you think it's a little early to tell which characters are going to be important and which ones aren't? It wasn't until Moon we found out Richtofen was the true antagonist all along, you didn't see people after Shi-No Numa was released saying "You watch, that Richtofen's gonna take control of the zombies someday". Again, don't want to sound like a dick (although I shall admit it it does sound dickier than I inteneded), i'm just saying.
  11. I know that, hence why I said (Preview, trailer, whatever). I called it a trailer because it was the map packs trailer and the word seemed fit to use. I understand this is not the Die Rise trailer amd i'm fairly confident that Marlton will be in it, however like I said before it's odd that Marlton wasn't even in the preview when in the past every character has featured in the preview. So I was just saying, that's all.
  12. Exactly! And thanks man same here, loking forward to see what Easter Eggs Treyarch have in store for us this time :D
  13. Just saying here, but pretty sure the power switch isn't new The buildable one is, yeah, but not the actual power switch haha :)
  14. So we've got a bit if a Richtofen/ Takeo being important (Richitofen because if his grand scheme and Takeo because he broke out of the brainwashing earlier) and Dempsey/ Nikolai less so. Just replace Richtofen and Takeo with Samuel and Marlton and replace Dempsey and Nikolai with Misty and Russman. Also, whilst I do wonder why Marlton wasn't shown in the trailer (preview, trailer, whatever), I do wonder about his fate. It is curious don't you think? Even in previous map pack trailers they've shown all four characters that are present in the map, I think this is the first time that isn't the case.
  15. Woah man, that's a little harsh! I'm just coming up with a sinple theory here, don't need you bitching to me about it. Alot of other people think this too (including Spiderbite from ngtzombies) so does that make them all stupid? Besides, if I am always wrong then how come you normally agree with me? Little hypocritical, don't you think? You're the one that needs to 'chill your beans', because I think you're response was a little harsh seeing as this is just a THEORY. You could have just put what you think about it instead, and next time do that for me.
  16. That's actually a good point, but then we'd need to know why four American character's were in China to begin with :P
  17. I don't know though, in every trailer before they had all four characters in it- why is this one different? I do honestly think that their may be a new mystery fourth character, but I don't think it's a new character because surely they would have been shown in the trailer? Also, if Marlton was dead it doesn't mean the new characters couldn't grow as a group. Think about it- Misty would be upset as she had a crush on Marlton and liked him, Russman didn't like Marlton but likes Misty so would probably try and confort her and maybe even Samuel would, despite Misty and Samuel hating each other. This could be the thing that brings them closer together as a group.
  18. I think completion of the ee's in later maps will provide something to be added into TranZit i.e. another NavCard to use. It makes some smese, plus will explain why none of the NavCards available appear to work.
  19. Was about to post my own theory, until I saw what this ^ guy put, and I couldn't agree more with him. I just posted about Marlton's odd disappearance from the trailer and his possible fate, and I have to say it seems as if Marlton has in fact met his demise somehow. Check out my post and see what you think: http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=27313
  20. So, as many of you probably already know, Treyarch have finally stopped beating about the bush and have released the trailer to the first DLC, entitled 'Revolution' (I'll put a link to the video at the bottom). It was the same as usual- Multiplayer maps looked "Meh" and zombies looked AMAZING. On the topic if zombies, the new map 'Die Rise' will see the new crew from Green Run return as they fight the undead in an abandoned apartment complex in the Far East (looks like China or somewhere in Asia). The map promises something new to zombies- a sense of height as players must traverse the dangerous and breaking-apart complex whilst simultaneously fighting off Richtofen's undead in tight-packed corridors. All-in-all, the map looks incredible and if they deliver what they promise could even be the best one yet. Now, some of you may have noticed that throughout the trailer we see Russman, Misty and Samuel keeping close to one another and fighting off the undead. However, we never see Marlton. EVER. He isn't shown fighting with the rest of the group neither in the foreground nor the background and he isn't seen in any of the close-ups. So you may be wondering "Well what happened to him?" Like I was. Well, when I finished watching the trailer and my mouth closed by itself I scrolled down to read the comments I saw one person who stated "hmm... no marlton in zombies". Now unfortunately, it won't let me post the damned picture on here (I'm on my iPhone so I have no idea how to), so i'll instead post the link to the post on the Call Of Duty Wiki if you could scroll down to find the original comment (sorry for the inconvenience), you should see the response of a picture of what appears to be none other than Marlton... Undead, roaming near the edge of a building. So what does this mean? Is Marlton now undead and another playable character is there? Here's my theory: Marlton somehow became exposed to either 115 or a zombie bite in TranZit and turned. This new map behins with the group facing an undead Marlton and killing him. As for the fourth playable character, I can't decide between Takeo or Samantha but I think one of them shall return. They both have reasons to- Takeo vows at the end of the Moon ee that he will deatroy every last remnant of Group 935, and Samantha vows to defeat Richtofen once and for all. I believe that either one of them forced the characters in TranZit to teleport to them so they can help complete the new ee in this map. As much as i'd love it to be Dempsey or Nikolai, the truth is that they have outstayed their welcome in Zombies a little bit. By Moon, it seemed as if Nikolai had begun to drink more heavily as his way of dealing with the apocalypse whilst Dempsey was choosing to ignore Richtofen and his shennanigans, even after witnessing Richtofen and Samantha switching souls, he still tried to ignore it. Takeo and Samantha could still have a role to play in the game, and hopefully we'll see one of their returns soon (preferbably Takeo because at least he was part of the Original Characters), but we'll soon find out! Role on the 29th of January! Also, Turned looks quite fun. Here's the link to the trailer, as promised, for you guys that haven't seen it yet: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ruv2xMLuaoA
  21. I don't know, but if this 'Revolution' DLC turns out to be true I wouldn't be suprised if Treyarch throw in another rank or something, or with any luck maybe even explain the system a little bit. I've always thought they're treating the ranking system like they do their easter eggs- They're leaving it up to the community to discover. I wouldn't be suprised if Treyarch never reveal how it works...
  22. I thought of an idea earlier today, seeing as we already know dedication is an inportant factor for tally marks, could it be an important factor for shotguns? I don't mean playing daily, but what I mean is the easter egg. Could completing the easter egg have an effect on levelling up? Think about it, dedicated zombie fans would do easter eggs- I've done all of them except TranZit so far! If you have the shotguns then let me know whether you've done the easter egg or not so we can try to debunk or prove (maybe) this theory.
  23. This isn't the story, this is the plot. This is more like an opening. This idea came to me because I thoughtof the playable characters we've had so far and none of them have ever really been just normal, average folk. So, this is the story about one average man and his fight to survive the evil reign of Edward Richtofen. Hope you guys enjoy reading the blurb (basically) and i'll have the first issue up soon. I plan to do this based around the story of the other maps and the other four survivors in BO2 so if in future maps things occur (i.e. Maxis or Richtofen dies, something else happens to the Earth etc.) it will affect this story, so expect issues to come when people complete the later maps easter eggs The missiles strike the earth and the world goes up in flames. People are incinerated on the streets- cars, houses, little survives and the dead begin to rise. A megalomaniacal scientist has seemingly taken control of these undead beings and are using them to cause chaos and confusion for any survivors, playing a game of sorts with them. One of these survivors is Rob Handelman, just a normal guy. He lives in a suburban house, drives a moderately priced car to his average job with a decent pay, then returns home to his average wife and daughter, 8 year old Emily Handelman. But when the missiles strike, everythig changes for Rob, and his worse thoughts become a reality...
  24. Well one thing we do know about T.E.D.D. is that unlike any other robot i've ever heard of, he can feel pain. This is backed up by quotes he makes when he takes any kind of damage, such as gunfire or knife lunges. This could mean that (and i'm sorry because I don't know who suggested this originally) T.E.D.D. really DOES have the ability to use human feelings and emotions. This is also backed up by his ability to comment on the places he stops at and how he often uses typical stereotypes to describe them (i.e. "An abandoned power plant. What could go wrong here?"). For this reason, I do believe that he has some kind of adapting brain (you know what I mean) that means he can learn from situations that occur around him (another example being him showing fear when crossing the bridge for the first time as it collapses around him) and adapt to them, and that he is NOT controlled by Richtofen or Maxis. Also, because of this adapting brain thing I doubt the map takes place before at least the 2000's, as this kind of technology didn't exist in the 80's. Finally, and again O don't know wo originally suggested this so my apologies, this map may not take place straight after the events on the Moon, as I can remember reading somewhere (I really don't remember where but i'm pretty sure it was on this forum) that Maxis can say that he's been looking for survivors of the Moon missiles for "a long time now", which also implies these new survivors have been together for a while and also explains how they all know what one another is like before the game even starts. This is just my thoughts guys but of course, ridicule away if you have a valid response to any of this. I'll listen! :)
  25. I had wrote out a big response to this, with links to other posts on this website and everything. However, it didn't seem to save, so i'll pit it again a lot more simply- Misty would be at least 53 if this was true, as Dempsey would have not seem the mother of his child (he mentions having a 5 year old in Moon) since around 1938 and this post: viewtopic.php?f=100&t=11967 Claims TranZit occurs in 1991 (well, 1986 to 1991 but still). Also, if the post is wrong and TranZit occurs later, maybe even present day, then Misty would be a lot older and let's be honest she looks to be in her mid-to-late 20's. So I personally doubt it but hey- as we've already discussed here, just because it's not said doesn't mean it's not true.
