  1. I know Grill has responded to this but I'm going too as well. People are slowly starting to understand what's going on even though we have tried to keep it in quiet, Basically, 3 or 4 people are fully supporting the site financially. When I have personally put £200 up this year, a comment like this pisses me off more than I can fully explain. Especially when a lot of the people complaining are doing nothing outside of very very minimal donations. I'll be completely frank, we don't get pretty much anything for donations. Next time you are complaining about the site being down, the staff not listening to users or complaining about how we aren't doing what we are supposed to as staff, well from me you can go screw yourself.
  2. SNN and Shang. Hate them both, the colours are just awful for me.
  3. Regardless I would like Alpha to receive some additional brains. Even if we leave him on 115 for life I really feel that way. I used myself as an example when compared to him. Playing devils advocate if you will. A brand new member can only judge someone on their medals or brains. I'm referencing that more. I doubt we will do anything except sort something out for Alpha. I'm actually in agreement with most others on this issue, but I still like to debate all sides.
  4. Hadn't thought about that Slade. I will ponder some more throughout the day.
  5. The more I think about this, the more I think that Alpha has a point. I understand the point of it being a new system, and a level playing field but I think if you managed to get over a 1000 brains, you must have been doing something right. The system wasn't the same, and mods and admins in particular got way more brains than they ever deserved. However, there is no way you can say for instance that Alpha doesn't deserve more than 9 brains with all the theory and storyline stuff he has done. On a personal note, I had over 1000 brains and they were all for strategy related stuff. I saw someone the over day say that Dahniska has taken over as the best strategy writer or something. His Origins guide was amazing and is a new way of looking at it. People seem to forget just how many guides I have written myself, going all the way back to Kino days. I have 2 or 3 guides in the master zombie guide. I have stuff in Supers guide. And I did an Origins guide within a month of the map being released, I don't mind floating my own boat and saying that it was an awesome guide. Bit of a tangent, but seeing Alpha with so few brains, and myself as a bit of a forgotten strategist it seems that we have no recognition for our work when the site was fully kicking. It's great the we have others doing their stuff now and what not, it's what we need. I just don't think that older members former work should not be reflected somehow in the new brains system.
  6. Winner decided, Nai's ranking thread. It is 2 weeks old, but we felt that it was a worthy winner for this. If we struggle to get a TOTW, we would go to fortnightly.
  7. 360 :)

    1. Stop Mocking Me0

      Stop Mocking Me0

      "Duuuuuuuudeeee….."

      Whaaaat…

You know what's better then 360?

      No… what.. Like… 720?

      Nah bro…. One….

      One….?

      One…

      Duuuuudde… You are SO right…

  8. I wish in a way we could give 1% of the brains back, that would be as close to fair as possible. However, like Rissole said the brains system just isn't what it used to be. Everyday I see brains given and think that just isn't brain worthy. They used to mean a lot more to me now than they used to.
  9. I am putting this up - http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/index.php/topic/159307-kino-der-toten-solo-strategy/ I thought this was a clever little guide going back to basics. I've seen stuff similar before but not for a while and it was clear that it had been used by Ulysses to get his personal high round. It's like that Mocking - a topic you have seen in the last week that you enjoyed, remembered or something similar. Once we have a few, we decide a winner and it's featured on the home page (I might need to be corrected on that?).... The topic starter also gets a medal.
  10. Hey Guys, This is the inaugural Topic of the Week which will nominated by you guys, and decided by a committee. I changed it up a little and decided to run it from Sunday to Saturday, with nominations made on Sunday and then a decision made late on Sunday. This isn't the longest open period, but due to it being weekly it's difficult to pick the best time. In the future, if any user doesn't think they will be on the site when the nominations are open, they can email myself or any of the committee with their nomination anytime from the Friday before the nominations open on the Sunday, This could be changed if it doesn't suit, but for this one it's as is. I don't want to have stringent rules around what defines the TOTW, just use common sense. If there are no stand out topics made in the prior week, nothing wrong with using an old one especially if it has had recent activity. Any issues at all with nominations will be decided by the committee. This first committee will be staff, for this first nominated TOTW. Ideally I want it to be 3 staff, 3 members and the UOTM and that should be decided for next time. Please put a link to any topic you wish to be considered for this, with your reasons for nominating it. Chopper.
  11. Sorry I thought I responded to this on Saturday when it was due to start; we are going to go ahead with it now from this upcoming Saturday.
  12. Tis very good. Not entirely sure a strategy that begins Bowie before Jugg and sallies too is for real beginners but I understand that the rest of it is. Tbh the way you have explained how to play, is the best way for someone to learn multiple techniques enabling them to slowly but surely improve their skill level. My first 40 coop was the highest I had ever gotten on any map (only been playing 2 weeks total zombies) and did it almost exactly as you have described. Rounding the map slowly is the best way to begin as you learn spawn spots, zones and timings. I'd elaborate only in that once you feel comfortable with all this, start hoarding everything on the stage and using TG for one hoard and then repeating. Brains and props for this. Plus your name is epic for multiple reasons.
  13. In response to what Mr spits very nicely pointed out then the answer is no I would not support this. Treyarch dropped the ball so badly in so many different ways that the taste in my mouth is too bad to give them anymore than the bare minimum I feel obligated to. That means BO3 and its map pack but not a penny in addition.
  14. Jugg. That is all. Maybe Quick revive but nothing else has any actual importance. You could argue that stamina and PhD are useful for certain maps and strategies but they aren't important.
  15. At Natural Sciences museum Brussels with my big little man. Wish I was a kid again.

  16. Only if it was on the BO engine as I'd like to play some of the BO2 maps on that one. I agree with everyone else's reasons for saying no.
  17. Ok, ok, voting has now closed. We are actually going to do the first TOTW next Saturday, 19th April. This gives Zombie Trilogy more time in the spotlight, and enables us to get the committee setup and medals sorted. Thanks for voting guys.
  18. Ok guys I have set a close on the poll for 18:00 tomorrow. I'm guessing that is determined by my board timezone so it will be mid morning to early afternoon across the US. Unless the poll shows a very clear winner on the decision we will go with what is being suggested. If you don't want to nominate users within the thread, please pm them to me. The staff will then make a decision tomorrow after the poll closes to determine the committee, before opening a thread for suggestions. I'd initially go for myself (strategy), way (social) and Grill(theory/storyline). I'd love to have MMX involved but as he wasn't fully behind this I'll leave the decision up to him (where's that tagging option when I need it!). Too many other good users, I wouldn't even know where to start. I'm thinking maybe they should all be former UOTM?
  19. The decision is so close between mod and user decides, that I am sure we are going to take the idea that a few of you guys had, and do a mix of staff and non staff. I see the site as split into 3 areas - social, theory and strategy. Future zombies can either sit with theory or strategy. It makes sense to me to have 3 staff, 3 users and UOTM to ensure no ties. Ideally those chosen would either sit across the 3 areas, or specialise in one. Keep throwing up names of suitable candidates for the committee and then the staff will make a decision on who will be in it
  20. UOTM gets a vote and split vote decision if mod only is decided?
  21. Hey Guys, We are going with TOTW, and Craig has already installed the mod/hook and it's populated with the biggest thread CODZ has produced, MMX trilogy. There are still a few different and contrasting suggestions as to how we will implement this, so I'm going to poll it. Main things are who decides the winner, should we invite thread suggestions and should there be a medal? Thanks guys, Chopper
  22. NML takes more dedication than most people realise. I'd guestimate that a very good player who had never played, could probably get 300 within a week, if they dedicated 4 or 5 hours per day. To get 350 and above, triple or quadruple that time. A slight exception would be if you had some NML pros always in your party, and prepared to watch your gameplay. The hardest thing about guides for zombies now, is how few people actually care. There are just too many things to learn and understand, before you can really get good. I have 6 pages now of notes on it, and am not even 20% of the way through my guide. I'd love to finish this for the site, and aim to get it done within a month with Paolos help. I would never mind watching people's games and offering advice, so maybe we could have some kind of NML clinic?
  23. It's probably easier to do this on round 20 as opposed to rounds say 7 - 12. Later is generally better when it comes to collecting new hoards. BO2 hit detection is also better to manage compared to BO1, where you can get closer but get hit quicker. When you can only take 2 hits, like with no Jugg it's a case of just avoiding all hits. With the amount of first rooms I've done and NML, this kinda thing is right up my street. But as Boom pointed out, with my mods on, I can do anything
  24. I think 10 - 2 EST, is 3 - 7 GMT. Either way, that's good for me!
  25. Someone else, I think DBZ mentioned this to me recently. Are you implying that firmware updates have a hidden agenda in that they create problems to encourage people to look at next gen consoles? It makes perfect sense to me as the PC industry did that for years...remember trying to buy an external CD drive which lasts longer than 18 months? You couldn't.... I'm noticing more and more little issues on my console, which isn't that old. Controllers randomly disconnecting is the current favourite.
