  1. You don't seem to have really understood what I said. No one has medium-kinda-sorta time constraints. You either have time or you don't. You either have time for a really long high round or you don't. You either have time to go about 40+ or 10+. No one has time to go round Round 71 or below, but not 72! "I could go one more round, but I only made sure to spare enough time in the day to do 71 Rounds. Not 72." So yeah. I have no sympathy for quitters. If you can make the time to do a high round, you should finish it properly. That's my belief. I'm not going to change how others play, but that is how I see it. It's plain out quitting 'cause you're beat. If you suicide, in my eyes, you lost the stamina aspect of a zombie apocalypse.
  2. The zombies in Black Ops DS also have red eyes. But it probably doesn't mean anything.
  3. I'd say about half and half, Chopper. I used as much info from the game as I could, and then I applied real science to explain how it worked. So there are facts, but only so much comes from the game. This thread is meant to be an interpretation of how Element 115 works. I'm not really concerned with arguing anything. There's nothing to debate. You want to tell me that 115 floats for another reason? Honestly, good luck with that. It was difficult enough to find one scientific reason such a heavy element would float. The point of this thread is to discuss Element 115 as if it were a real object.
  4. I tried to get facts and data, but in the end it is mostly just estimation, hardly enough to convince and prove anything beyond a doubt so... no. But I am working on a substitution. Rather instead of a "This is the correct weapon ranking order" a "This is my weapon ranking order".
  5. This thread is not going anywhere. The same can be said for any quarrel with you.
  6. I always found the idea of committing suicide in Zombies absolutely barbaric. If you have the time to get to a really high round, which takes a long time, I don't want to hear anything about how you don't want to go any higher. If you've been playing for eight hours, I doubt playing another hour would be that devastating to your life. You've already committed so much to the cause, so I do not understand why you would just give up at this point. I see in-game suicide almost metaphorical for real-life suicide. You try and try until you're just done trying. You're tired. Despite the fact that you could go so much farther. It's like, why play the game if you're just going to give up? But that's the point. Why play the game? they think. So then they kill themselves. Why live the life? It is a negative feedback loop.
  7. @Stop mocking me: That's exactly the reason I said to drop it. @MegaAfroMan: Thank you very much. I appreciate the arguing on my behalf, but there's no need to go any further. @InfestLithium: Thank you very much. I appreciate it. @Samara: Thank you very much. I appreciate it. @BoomByeYeah: Thank you. I think that 115 does affect electricity, however the second law of thermodynamics details that order turns to entropy, to chaos. As such, "Him" and the like can only be the result of intervention on the behalf of 115 by sentient beings. Maxis talking through electronics I think was just him using Richtofen's wireless communication system that he set up for Griffin Station. @DeathBringerZen: That's hardly my fault, but thank you regardless.
  8. I would appreciate if you would stop imposing your beliefs on others. I did not go to your threads to argue those things' invalidity, so please don't do it to me. I would argue specific points, but I know that would get nowhere. So, please, desist. The purpose of this thread is to take 115 down from being at a divine level back to the realm of understanding.
  9. Are we drifting away? Yes. ... What exactly is the problem here? Super Mario Bros. > Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels No change whatsoever. Fans are unhappy that it is just a harder version of the game. Super Mario Bros. > Super Mario Bros. 2 Too much change. Fans are unhappy that it is so dissimilar from the previous game. Super Mario Bros. > Super Mario Bros. 3 Just right. Some of you think this game is the Lost Levels. Some think it is SMB2. It is an argument without a winner. In the end, ALL video game sequels aim for difference and similarity. It takes the right combination to get it right. And they got it right. Don't believe me? Look at the sales figures. Personal preference on the combination can differ greatly from person to person.
  10. Element 115, also known as Ununpentium and Divinium, is a miraculous substance, yes? In fact, it alone is the reason Zombies is the way it is. But instead of just going "It's magic", let us try to delve deeper into what exactly is Element 115. Natural Location Element 115 is not a very common element. Let's take a look at where you can find it. Our Universe Nowhere. Element 115 is not natural in our universe. In fact, the only way you will be able to find Element 115 in our universe is upon the intervention of sentient beings, human or otherwise. Eventually our universe does get contaminated with Element 115. Sometimes in small scales, like a little bit from a meteor here and there. Sometimes in large scales, like three nuclear warheads armed with the stuff. Aether Element 115 is not found within Aether either. It is just as rare here if not rarer. The reason is because Aether is predominantly filled with ethereal energy. Ethereal energy and 115 have similar effects on the distortion of time and space, although differences do exist. The similarities of the two sometimes can spark conflict over dominion, which usually leads to 115 having influence over Aether or vice versa. Agartha Element 115 is naturally abundant in Agartha. Agartha is chock full of 115, and the resident of Agartha, the Vril-Ya, are masters in controlling 115. Since 115 is natively from another dimension, it is no surprise that it is a rare substance. Crazy Place The Crazy Place was a realm devised by the Vril-Ya as a bridge between our universe and Agartha. As such, it is completely constructed out of 115 and other heavy metals. A side-effect of this "bridge" however was a huge contaminant of 115 into our universe near Bar-le-Duc in France. Element 115 Element 115, at its core, is an atom. It has 115 protons and 115 electrons. Given its large atomic mass, it is radioactive and unstable, although it has a surprisingly long half-life, like Uranium. Natural Isotope Element 115 occurs within one natural isotope. The exact neutron count and atomic mass are not known, however. Solid 115 in its purest form is that of a blue crystalline structure. Pure 115 is the rarest of all 115 to find, especially in a solid crystalline form. It is also quite energetic, as it is a much denser form than most. 115 also has elemental attributes, deriving from microscopic undiscovered particles within the nucleus. These particles come in four varieties that allow 115 to give off energy in the form of one of four elements. When particles of a certain variety are concentrated within solid 115, you can separate the four elements to be elemental purities of 115. Fire (What I call the pyronions) The fire variety emits heat and breaks the atoms around it, giving off plasma in the form of fire. This variety is the hardest to replicate, and as such it is not used very much. Usually plain old fire is used instead. Lightning (What I call the lightnions) The lightning variety gives off electrical properties that are inherent within 115. These properties were first noticed by Group 935, and they tried to replicate these properties into various weaponry, showing much more promise in the area of lightning than all the others. Wind (What I call the aeronions) The wind variety pressurizes the atoms around it, causing movement between gaseous atoms around it. These effects can be weaponized into pressure beams. Ice (What I call the frigions) The ice variety halts the vibration of atoms around it, effectively cooling off its surroundings. Due to the abundance of water in everyday life, the ice variety can effectively freeze thin air as well as bodily fluids. Its effectiveness in a water-less environment is untested, but it could potentially still prove fatal by freezing other liquids, depending on their freezing points. Liquid Pure 115 is not naturally found in a liquid state. In fact, out of the three main states of matter, liquid is the hardest to obtain. Liquid 115 can be obtained by artificially forcing solid 115 to melt by introducing over chemicals. Liquid 115 has the most energy of any form of 115, excepting vril, and it is thus used to power only the most challenging of 115-powered inventions, such as Giant Robots. Gas Element 115 converts into a gaseous state very easily and usually accidentally, despite the fact that 115 is a heavy metal. The reason that 115 is able to become gaseous is because of its inherent properties within the nucleus. It is able to magnetically transpose the charges of the atoms in the air around it, allowing it to literally levitate buoyantly. It is nearly impossible to work with 115 in any manner without gaseous 115 escaping into one's surroundings. This can cause many problems with the unfortunate side-effects of 115. Plasma 115 is only in plasma states for short periods of time. So much so that it is hardly notable. One example is the electricity brimming from lightning 115. Goo Chinese scientists in 2025 devised a way to create a new state of matter for 115 that would hopefully be more beneficial to them. In the end, they developed a new way to weaponize it. They developed a goo-like state of matter for 115 that had previously only existed in theory. This state is halfway between solid and liquid, and it is toxic to organic substances. Vril Vril is a substance that was also used by the Vril-Ya, and it is suspected to be a variant form of 115. When the Vril-Ya mastered 115, they did so by creating the state of matter vril. Vril is much less hazardous than any other form of 115. It is also more powerful, for with only a few grams of vril one could end the life one another being. There is a catch however. Not only is vril impossible to manufacture by anyone but the Vril-Ya, but only the Vril-Ya can control its power. A human trying to use vril would almost be better off trying to use normal 115. 115-287 The isotope 115-287 was created in a lab. It was so radioactive that it decayed nearly instantly. 115-288 The isotope 115-288 was created in a lab. It was so radioactive that it decayed nearly instantly. 115-289 The isotope 115-289 was created in a lab. It was so radioactive that it decayed nearly instantly. 115-290 The isotope 115-290 was created in a lab. It was so radioactive that it decayed nearly instantly. 115-291 The isotope 115-291 was created in a lab. It was so radioactive that it decayed nearly instantly. 115-Compounds Element 115 however is found in many non-pure varieties, where it is bonded with other elements. This can cause many complications, as elements as heavy as 115 should not bond with other elements, yet 115 manages to do so. Red 115 Ore There are two varieties of 115 ore. The first one is distinctive for being red in color. It also tends to have more lightning particles than fire, wind, and ice. Red 115 ore appears in the form of meteors. Somehow chunks of Agarthan rock cross over to our dimension in space and then crash down to Earth. One theory is they are ejected from white holes (as opposed to black holes). This has happened a few times, with meteors hitting Germany, Pennsylvania, Siberia, Africa, China, Nevada, and the Himalayas. Many large meteors even hit the Moon. However, if these meteors are left untouched long enough, the radioactivity of 115 causes them to decay. They initially were solid, pure, blue, crystalline 115 embedded into Agarthan stone. However, over the course of decades they degrade into a mix of 115-rock glowing red with electricity emitting from them, dubbed red 115 ore. Purple 115 Ore The other variety of 115 ore is purple. There is not much functional difference between red and purple ores. The purple ore was found three times after the world was destroyed by nukes, and each time it was used as a power source to power up some towers. The main difference, other than being purple, is that these meteors are very small in size. Therefore, it would not be unreasonable to suggest what makes the purple 115 ores different than the red 115 ores is related to size. Crystalline 115 Not all of the 115, however, that rained down unto Earth was blue and crystalline. There were some meteors that were purely crystalline 115, with no particular color. The meteors probably shared an equal number of particles that would have attributed which elemental variety they would have otherwise had. The purpose of these meteors would be to magnify the use of 115 used elsewhere, like a magnifying glass. A German would later come to call these things the Focusing Crystals. Green Gunk Green gunk is a colloquialism for a common form of Element 115 that is seen. In many weapons utilizing 115, it will take on a green form. It more 115 is concentrated via a Pack-A-Punch, it will then turn red. The standard green-to-red formula is repeatable on many occasions. For example, the Ray Gun, Ray Gun 1.5, Ray Gun Mark II, 31-79 JGb215, and V-R11 all share the green-to-red formula. The Acid found in Alcatraz also uses this green gunk as a component, although it is diluted enough so that it does not turn red upon upgrading. The green gunk is also perfectly suitable for being the liquid stored within a battery, such as an Atomic Cold Cell used by the Ray Gun. Perks-A-Cola Perks-A-Cola take advantage of the wide array of colors that 115 can exhibit as a marketing technique. They also use some of its miraculous properties to enhance or modify the DNA of the person who drinks it, although the change is only temporary. The Perks-A-Cola make use of chemically-enhanced flavoring, like that used of the modern Jones Soda company, so that the drinks taste like a certain real-world flavoring just by emulating it on a chemical level. Wonder Weapons I define Wonder Weapons as: Won·der Wea·pon [wun-der weh-pun, vun-er weh-pun] noun 1. A carry-able weapon whose internal function involves the use of Element 115 or ethereal energy prior to the use of a Pack-A-Punch, if applicable. This means that the Wonder Weapons are the Ray Gun, Wunderwaffe DG-2, Monkey Bomb, Gersch Device, Matryoshka Dolls, V-R11, Scavenger, 31-79 JGb215, Zap Guns, Quantum Entanglement Device, Sliquifier, Blundergat (more specifically the Acid Gat), H*ll's Retriever (and Redeemer), Silver Spoon (and Golden Spork), Ray Gun Mark II, Paralyzer, Time Bomb, Staff of Fire, Staff of Lightning, Staff of Wind, Staff of Ice, Beacon, and One Inch Punch. Generic Many Wonder Weapons are not able to be categorized into one of the elemental varieties. This is because of the many bizarre things 115 can do. Let's take a look. Ray Gun The Ray Gun is the most iconic of the Wonder Weapons. It shoots 115 in the form of green gunk, which is stored in battery cells. The Ray Gun has the most peculiar history of all of the Wonder Weapons. The Japanese designed it in the early 1940's. Group 935's Dr. Maxis then built it. He then handed over development to Dr. H. Porter, who oversaw the Ray Gun development. He created another type of pistol called the Zap Guns. He then went back to the Ray Gun and made an updated model, which for simplicity sake I call the Ray Gun Mark 1.5. After improving the technology in that, he went on to make the improved Ray Gun Mark II. The original Ray Gun, however, got temporally displaced by 115 to 1933, where Al Arlington, a comic book artist, found it. He was into sci-fi, and he noticed a similarity between the gun his comic book hero had and the Ray Gun. When he got out of Alcatraz, he changed his the gun in his comic book to look like the Ray Gun, which would later inspire the Japanese design. Also, the Ray Gun 1.5 appeared in 1918 because of 115. Group 935 then reverse engineered it, inventing the Ray Gun 1.5 before they even invented the first Ray Gun, and for the second time... It's complicated. Monkey Bomb The Monkey Bomb is not only a perfect distraction from the zombies, but Samantha gave them a sort of semi-sentience. It is interesting because it is creepy. Richtofen invented this weapon after he started losing his mind. The worst part is, though, that we still see his invention to this day, because regardless of how mad an idea it was, it works. Gersch Device The Gersch Device utilizes 115 to rip a hole in reality, creating a hole in the fabric of time and space. It acts as a black hole upon the undead. However it acts as a wormhole upon the living. Therefore not only does it kill the bad, but it helps the good. However, it can be tampered. Richtofen altered it to go to Eagle's Nest in Sibera. Samantha, however, gave Yuri instructions to alter it to send Gersch to Aether to be tortured. V-R11 The V-R11 was a Wonder Weapon attempt to utilize vril. While it is nowhere near as powerful as what the Vril-Ya to conjure, it was remarkably impressive for a human attempt. It is more of a tool than a weapon, as it must be used tactically. It shoots green gunk containing vril, and it uses it to reverse the zombification effects upon the target. However, there seem to be extremely severe mental repercussions. No zombie has ever survived turning back into a human. Fact-point: after the Germans lost the base at Eagle's Nest and subsequently lost the V-R11, the United States acquired the weapon before losing it in the exact same way they did. 31-79 JGb215 The 31-79 JGb215 shoots green gunk. This weapon primarily uses 115's ability to manipulate space by squeezing atoms together in an effort to shrink them. The weapon was initially used as a tool to facilitate in the moving of heavy equipment. It was designed by Dr. Maxis for use in Shangri-La. The natives there named it. The name 31-79 JGb215 derives from an Anglicized interpretation of the name they gave it, which was in their own, unique, specific, unknown language. The dragon statue on the weapon seems to be made of crystal. Given the refraction qualities possessed by crystalline 115, the crystal dragon may be an integral component of the "shrink ray". Quantum Entanglement Device The Quantum Entanglement Device makes use of the theory of quantum entanglement that suggests that particles can be an infinite distance and still have a reaction. The QED operates by using 115 to rip into the fabric of time and space to interact with specific particles to bring forward a desired object through a process of teleportation. However, which particles can be used? The QED stores a set of probabilities, but they are just that, probabilities. The exact effect upon using it is a luck of the draw scenario. It could help; it could hurt. Sliquifier The Sliquifier utilizes the unique goo-like state of 115 to create a slippery surface against zombies. It also can make them combust from within their own bodies. The unfortunate thing, though, is that there are no remaining functional, manufactured Sliquifiers. In fact, even the name is fiction. It was a top secret project conducted by China in 2025, although it was leaked to the United States. Some parts were sent to Shanghai, which Samuel and Co. use to construct a makeshift version of the gun, one they call the Sliquifier. Since it is just a makeshift version, it cannot be upgraded. Blundergat The Blundergat in itself isn't really a Wonder Weapon. It is an amalgamation of the Civil War weapons the Warden at Alcatraz in 1933 created. However, he also created the additional Acid Gat Kit, which acts as an attachment to the weapon. The Acid in Alcatraz was infused with 115, which explains why the Acid Gat has peculiar properties not found in ordinary acid. Ray Gun Mark II The newer model of the Ray Gun operates similarly to the original. The difference is mainly in the manner in which the green gunk is ejected from the device and how it is stored. For this weapon, the storage is in the form of a battery-computer-chip hybrid. Paralyzer The Paralyzer's deadly force is due to the ethereal energy it conjures from the Aether itself. However, the energy that provides this ability is a result of 115. The Paralyzer has a glowing white capsule of 115 which acts as a catalyst for drawing the infinite ethereal energy, which is why the Paralyzer has "infinite ammo". Beacon The Beacon is similar to the Monkey Bomb in its function to distract zombies, although it does not kill them in the same exact fashion. It only acts as a homing beacon to missiles sent by Giant Robots, which are then used to destroy the zombies. The 115 is used as an attractor. Fire Some of the weapons make use of the fire variety of 115. Staff of Fire The Vril-Ya made a weapon based off of fiery 115. However, it was lost with time. Dr. Maxis however managed to create a replica. It uses a crystal of fire 115 as its power source. Using small chunks of the crystal at a time, it is able to discharge an inferno to take down all enemies before it. Scavenger The Scavenger was built to make use of the fiery advantages of 115. Although it does so only in a minuscule fashion. It basically makes the explosion bigger. This was useful in the 1940's, when it was constructed, for back then it was hard to fit such a big explosion into such a small space. The Scavenger itself is a makeshift weapon, one of a kind, developed by Dr. Harvey Yena as his own personal weapon. Lightning Some of the weapons make use of the lightning variety of 115. Staff of Lightning The Vril-Ya made a weapon based off of shocking 115. However, it was lost with time. Dr. Maxis however managed to create a replica. It uses a crystal of lightning 115 as its power source. Using small chunks of the crystal at a time, it is able to discharge electricity to take down all enemies before it. Wunderwaffe DG-2 The Wunderwaffe DG-2 (Die Glocke 2) was built to make use of the shocking advantages of 115. It was the first and only Wonder Weapon Rifle in World War II. Thus it was hailed as a huge success. It was supposed to be mass produced and released to the Nazis for a German victory. However, Maxis made sure that did not happen, which angered Richtofen. It uses batteries filled with electrical 115 to collect and discharge 115 at the opponent, where it can then chain and kill up to nine more consecutive victims. It also had an antigravity mechanism based on the original Die Glocke that allowed the weapon to be as light as any other rifle, despite its much larger size. It was Richtofen's favorite weapon. Zap Guns The Zap Guns were Dr. Porter's attempt to unify the inventions of the Wunderwaffe DG-2 and the Ray Gun. However, they ended up being something unto themselves. They can be used individually or together with varied results. Each gun has an ammo reserve that can be used to induce the same electrical effects as that of the DG-2. The main difference however, is that the energy from the 115 is divided into single bursts, allowing one to better choose who to kill. The blue Zap Gun also has a pan magazine worth two shots of 115. When the two Zap Guns are brought together to form the Wave Gun, this compartment of ammo can be used to shoot a powerful microwave beam, shooting 115's millions of electrons that fill up the victim that they penetrate, making him cook from the inside out, exploding him or her. Wind Some of the weapons make use of the wind variety of 115. Staff of Wind The Vril-Ya made a weapon based off of pressure-changing 115. However, it was lost with time. Dr. Maxis however managed to create a replica. It uses a crystal of wind 115 as its power source. Using small chunks of the crystal at a time, it is able to discharge a huge blast to take down all enemies before it. Thundergun The Thundergun was built to make use of the pressure-changing advantages of 115. The Thundergun came in three forms. The Thundergun Mark I was a non-working German prototype. The Thundergun Mark II was the stolen Soviet working version. The Thundergun Mark III improved upon the reloading mechanism. The Thundergun had its ammo housed in large discs, much like the Wave Gun. However, these were more digital in nature, allowing the user to know whether one or two shots were left at any time. The discs contained the wind variety of 115, which was used to unleash huge pressurized blasts from the device. In the Mark II, the discs were not able to be tampered. However, in the Mark III, a single shot could be ejected from the disc and inserted into another to try to make for more tactical and logical reloading. Ice Some of the weapons make use of the ice variety of 115. Staff of Ice The Vril-Ya made a weapon based off of chilling 115. However, it was lost with time. Dr. Maxis however managed to create a replica. It uses a crystal of ice 115 as its power source. Using small chunks of the crystal at a time, it is able to discharge an icy storm to take down all enemies before it. Winter's Howl The Winter's Howl was built to make use of the chilling advantages of 115. It was developed by the United States secretly after reverse-engineering the Ray Gun. It had energy cells much like the Ray Gun, however, the 115 within these cells were of the ice variety. This weapon would shoot a blast of icy 115 that would freeze and damage, if not kill, opponents. An interesting note is that the United States installed a safety to this weapon as they do with most pistols. The safety, however, was an electronic switch, as opposed to a lever. Effect on Time and Space Most elements as heavy as 115 decay immediately, however, 115 does not. The longevity of 115 gives itself to some peculiar properties. Its individual quantum-sized particles interact with time and space just like any particles do. These effects include quantum tunneling, quantum teleportation, quantum entanglement, etcetera. Since 115 has so many individual quarks and particles that do not simply decay, these effects are magnified, leading to some peculiar effects on time and space, including Element 115's most notable ability: the ability to displace objects from their proper time and place. Agarthan Portals The Vril-Ya made use of 115's ability to manipulate space when they created the Crazy Place. In order to bridge the gap between Agartha and our universe, they created the Crazy Place, which works almost like immigration. But to get in or out of the Crazy Place, one must go through a portal. There's five in total: one to Agartha, four to our universe. They are all triggered by musical chords using a technology (utilizing 115) beyond our comprehension. However, the methodology for the portals works by using quantum teleportation on a massive scale to anything that passes through the screen of Element 115. The four are color-coded by elemental variety to identify which portal goes where. Teleporters The Teleporters were the idea to recreate the quantum teleportation effect that 115 exhibits. Richtofen was the first human to create a working Teleporter. He did not share his insight, however, so it would be years until someone else, Maxis, could get one working. Later the United States and Soviet Union would try to recreate the technology with various rates of success. There were errors in the Teleporters though that were not apparent in the portals. For example, the Teleporters in the Pentagon were random when they sent you to another Teleporter. Also, the Teleporter in Kino der Toten would sometimes "pit stop" in another location, a feature common in Richtofen's Teleporters. H*llhounds H*llhounds are the result of a failed Teleporter experiment. Their cells contain massive amounts of 115 and ethereal energy. The first, Fluffy, was a normal dog at first. But she was teleported, and in an experimental error, she did not reappear. She remained trapped between locations, she did not exist. She ceased to be... in our reality. She became trapped in the place between life and death, that is, the Aether. That's where she got the ethereal energy. However, the 115 she had infused within her cells. The 115 gave its quantum teleportation effect to her entire body, allowing her to go from Aether to our universe at will. However, she had puppies, the H*llhounds, which would do that for her. Beast's Portals The Beast is a being that lived within Aether, its native home. It inspired legends of Cerberus. However, its master, who also lived within Aether, would not let it leave. At most, it would allow the Beast to stick out each of its three heads through three portals. These portals are seen in Mob of the Dead, where the Beast tries to feast upon zombies, although he won't be disinclined to snack on a nearby human, if only he could get out of his "cage". Green Lights After the world was nuked, Element 115 was in a gaseous state all around the planet, affecting everyone. This included streetlights. In Green Run, there's a select few streetlights which received an overdose of Element 115. It changed the color to green, much like the green gunk. When a Denizen comes near it when the power is on, the sheer amount of energy causes 115 to reinstate its power to create portals underneath the green lights. Fountain Portal In the buried town, there is a fountain the contains within it a portal. There is definitely ethereal energy in the area, however, 115 has a history of creating portals, meaning that 115 causing this portal is a likely possibility. The interesting thing however is that the portal brings you back to the surface, despite the fact that there is no portal up there. It is essentially a one-way trip. 115 Conversion Generators Group 935 created the 115 Conversion Generators to convert gaseous 115 into a liquid form to use as a power source. However, a side-effect arose in that, when the Generators powered up, small portals would appear around them. Through the portals would appear objects of undetermined origin, from other points of time and space. This is how Group 935 in World War I acquired overly sophisticated technology. This effect would later be used against them, however. In the Crazy Place, the Agarthan zombies would be drawn to the Generators and wished to destroy the machines. They began to appear on the other side of the portals, wrecking havoc in our universe for the sole purpose of destroying the Generators. Effect on Organisms Element 115 has a hugely debilitating effect on organic material, but its severity depends on the status of both the 115 and the individual. Raw Effect on the Living Element 115 enters the living individual in a gaseous state through the lungs. There it transfers into the blood. Once in the blood, it circulates until it reaches the brain, where most of the 115 accumulates. There aren't any long-term negative effects to the living organism, however, there are several short-term effects. These include short-term memory loss, delusions, and paranoia. Maxis, after having worked with 115 for so long, began to feel some of the symptoms, and he made use of the effects in the form of brainwashing tests that Group 935 conducted. When the world was nuked, everyone on Earth began to feel these symptoms in one form or another. Severity varied quite a bit. George Barkley, CDC director who reported these symptoms, himself suffered severely. Raw Effect on the Dead The effect upon the dead, however, is different. 115 gets trapped within the dead cells and ends up restarting them. Anyone who has 115 within their system must be wary, for when they die the 115 will reanimate their bodies. It'll travel from their brain to the rest of their system, until 115 is in each cell. This is why zombies can still function without their heads, for their heads are not responsible for their movement. It is believe that the reanimation is caused by the lightning particles restarting cellular movement. Reanimation only occurs once, however. The cellular structure is too badly damaged for it to be done twice. Processed Effect on the Living 115 can, however, be chemically conditioned to have more positive effects. If correctly chemically synthesized, 115 can be used to heal living organisms, even upon the brink of death. Features like this are why 115 earned the name "Divinium". Examples of inventions utilizing this are Juggernog, Sekhmet's Vigor, the Pack-A-Punch version of the Ballistic Knife, and the Maxis Drone. Processed Effect on the Dead 115 can, however, be chemically conditioned to have more positive effects. f correctly chemically synthesized, 115 can be used to distract the undead to allow the living to live longer. Usually this 115 is bundled with an explosive to kill the zombies once the distraction is done. Some devices that utilize this 115 are the Monkey Bomb, the Pack-A-Punch version of the Crossbow Explosive-Tip, the Acid Gat, and the Beacon. Zombies Zombies are the ultimate and final side-effect of Element 115, for usually not much comes after their arrival. They are the result of reanimation of dead tissue by 115. Aspects Let's take a look at the aspects of our beloved undead. Controllers If there is a powerful enough being residing within Aether, he or she can control the feeble minds of the zombies just like he or she can control other physical objects with the power of ethereal energy. The MPD is a device that allows normal humans to control zombies. It also hampers the Ancient Evil, who would otherwise seek to control them. Also, Agartha can be used as a substitute for Aether, although it is not nearly as efficient. There have only ever been four controllers: Samantha, Richtofen, Maxis, and the Ancient Evil. Goals The zombies kill. That is their purpose in life. They have a desire for brains, yet they never seem to actually fulfill that goal. This is likely a result of the fact that the controller meddles with their goals, so that it isn't as simple as killing humans and eating their flesh. Energy Zombies contain a lot of energy, collectively. Within each zombie is energy in the form of 115, ethereal energy, and a soul. The 115 is obvious, however, the ethereal energy is residue leftover from the controller's interference. The soul is the life force energy that distinguishes one individual from another. The soul of every zombie is trapped and only released upon death. The song "The One" is a metaphor for this effect, as it details how zombies would long for death so they could be free, if only they could long for anything. Zombie Blood Zombie Blood was a creation utilizing the science of zombies and their blood. The key to the discovery was when Richtofen found the blood of the prisoners in Alcatraz, who had gone through hundreds, if not thousands, of battles against the undead. The resulting chemical concoction was named Zombie Blood, and it could make the zombies think the user was also a zombie. Samantha ended up adapting it as a Power-Up. Types There are many types of zombies. Let's take a look. Standard The "standard" zombie is one that will result from exposing a dead body to 115 without any other interference. However, there are several types of the "standard" zombie as well. However, it depends on for what one is looking. For example, if it is running speed, one could say the types of zombies are slow crawlers, fast crawlers, walkers, runners, sprinters, and super sprinters. If it is based on their background prior to death, one could say the types of zombies are Nazi Zombies, Japanese Zombies, American Zombies, Soviet Zombies, Asian Zombies, Moon Zombies, Chinese Zombies, Medieval Zombies, and Agarthan Zombies. The major difference is appearance, although zombies of different nationalities due exhibit separate behaviors. For example, the Soviet Zombies can jump to great heights and do acrobatic stunts, and the Agarthan Zombies hate the Conversion Generators. Gas Zombie Gas Zombies were a failed experiment by Maxis where he introduced Nova-6 to the system of zombies. The result was increased mutation/evolution, and they began to cope with the Nova-6. Twenty years later, the test subjects evolved into what we call Gas Zombies. Pentagon Thief The Pentagon Thief was an anomaly in the field of zombies. For some reason, likely relating to quantum teleportation, he had an affinity for using teleporters to steal the weapons of the players, as opposed to simply killing him. The identity of the Pentagon Thief has never been unanimously agreed upon. Space Monkey Space Monkeys were monkeys that the Soviets sent into space. It turns out that 115 reanimates all manner of primates, not just humans. It caused the pods they were inside to crash down back to the Baikonour Cosmodrone, and out came the Space Monkeys, which were now zombies. Like the Pentagon Thief, they had a strange affinity, but instead for Perks. The reason likely resides within the physiology. George Romero George Romero is also like the Pentagon Thief in the fact that he was an anomaly. He became a large powerful zombie unlike the others, and he actually still had a portion of his sentience. Two theories exist why this may be. One states that the electric light he possesses added electrical energy to the mix that affected 115 to not completely take over his body, effectively making him a half-zombie, with the better parts of both species. The other theory states that vril was involved. The 115 that reanimated him was specifically the vril variety, and therefore it gave him the strength and power that vril could give. Napalm Zombie Napalm Zombies were the unfortunate result of napalm being infused into the system of a corpse that was subsequently reanimated. The 115 attached around the nerves to act as a voluntary chord to the explosive substance within their bodies, allowing a Napalm Zombie to choose when to explode. Shrieker Zombie Shrieker Zombies were zombies that were infected with the wind variety of 115. They tended to be ancient corpses that were in Asian tombs. The 115 had a difficult time reanimating these ancient corpses, which resulted in the fire, lightning, and ice particles not being favored over the wind. The reason this effect was not seen in Medieval Zombies is likely due to the fact of poor containment of the ancient zombies that became Shrieker Zombies, which had a lot more decomposition. Monkey Zombie Monkey Zombies were native monkeys of the jungle around Shangri-La that died and subsequently were infected by 115. Like the Space Monkeys before them, they had strange affinities, but this time for Power-Ups. Once a Monkey Zombie received a Power-Up, it would take it and without using it run up to the highest point it could find. Once there, it would use the ethereal energy to blast itself upwards into the sky to get even higher. It does not end well for the Monkey Zombie. Astro-Zombie Astro-Zombies were zombies on the Moon that happened to inside pressurized external suits at the time of reanimation. However, the extreme pressure that their bodies are subjected to increase the volatility of 115, effectively giving Astro-Zombies the ability to displace things, although only in space, not time. Phasing Zombie 60 years after the Gas Zombies, the Phasing Zombies evolved. They adapted to their environment on the Moon alongside regular zombies and Astro-Zombies by developing a dense amount of 115 within their bodies to teleport at will. Jumping Jack Due to meddling on the part of Richtofen and/or the Chinese government, the Phasing Zombies came to inhabit Shanghai. 20 years after the end of the world, the evolved into Jumping Jacks. Richtofen adopted them like Samantha adopted the H*llhounds. So the Jumping Jacks gained the ability to travel through Aether. Their Nova-6 also decayed due to old age and was practically nonexistent. It decayed into a new, lighter, purple gas. They used their new lightweight prowess to evolve to be much more acrobatic, hence the name Jumping Jack. Brutus Stanley Ferguson became a zombie after he was killed and reanimated by 115. However, when the Ancient Evil forced the inmates at Alcatraz to relive torture everyday in a time loop, he forced Stanley to do the same, except he was a zombie now. He made Stanley his minion, and he left him his consciousness in the form of a being that came to be known as Brutus. Brutus was a zombie like any other, but he was much deadlier. He ended up betraying the Ancient Evil to end the time loop by helping the inmates, which also ended his own life. Panzer Soldat The Panzer Soldat was the term Group 935 gave to the men who wore the heavily armored mech suits that Richtofen invented. Its initial purpose was to assist in excavation, however they were re-purposed to be infantrymen. So, they were given weapons. When, however, 115 began to reanimate dead bodies, the Panzer Soldats eventually succumbed to the disease and became zombies with weapons and armor. Anomalies 115 has also had a few strange instances. Mystery Box The Mystery Box was initially created by the Vril-Ya to use 115's ability to pluck weapons from their time and place. However, the controller in Aether could make use of it. The Ancient Evil re-purposed the Mystery Box as his own. Samantha also later re-purposed the Mystery Box, but as a toy. Richtofen adopted Samantha's, as did Maxis, who had no interest in games. Pack-A-Punch The Pack-A-Punch was a device created by the Vril-Ya to create power powerful weapons. It used 115 to quantum teleport objects that were placed within the device. Once a weapon was placed, it would be taken to Aether or Agartha where it would become upgraded. The weapon would then shoot 115. Group 935 reverse engineered the Pack-A-Punch, which shared the properties of the original. Focusing Stone The Focusing Stone was the result of the 31-79 JGb215 shrinking the meteor in Shangri-La. However, the density of the 115 within the Focusing Stone was so strong that it messed with the perception of time. From the perspective of a photon, time is still. From the perspective of the Focusing Stone, time is reversed. When two explorers, Brock and Gary, touch it, they became trapped in a time loop, causing them to repeat the same actions until death. The Focusing Stone also levitated using the electromagnetic properties of 115 that allow the gaseous form to levitate. Vril seems to be able to alleviate the dangerous properties that involve handling the Focusing Stone. "Him" "Him" was an electrical being created with human DNA and 115. He was an abomination that was the result of a science experiment by the United States. As a result, he was always irate and killed anything he came across. Even the zombies dare not mess with him. Denizens of the Forest The Denizens were genetic abominations created from a multitude of creatures. The involvement of 115 does not affect them nor turn them into zombies. However, 115 is present within their bodies in high quantities due to the atmosphere in which they lived. Maxis Drone Maxis was killed in the 1918 outbreak of zombies. However, his brain would remain functional for a few hours after death, which is not abnormal. Richtofen conducted highly experimental and controversial surgery to recover his brain and preserve it. He then used the overly advanced technology he acquired to construct an apparatus for the brain to use as a body, called the Maxis Drone. He saved the life of his friend. Thanks to Richtofen, Maxis cheated not only death but zombification and the fate of 115.
  11. You guys make good points. ChopperNator, is not having a staff really "burning" the whole game of Origins? Can't you kill the old-fashioned way? Or can't you do something like shoot 'em up and have a robot stomp them? Here's an idea, Chopper. What if you only test one staff at a time? You do Kagutsuchi, and you write the amount of kills on whichever round. Then you still have three staffs with ammo. When you get a Max Ammo, next, you'll have all four staffs of ammo again, and then you can do the next staff. As long as you record which round you did it on, we could statistically curve the data using the zombies per round formula. This is just hypothetical, of course.
  12. I think it was the additional characters. I liked the playable characters, but I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about interesting and unique characters with which the players could interact. I'm talking about a floating electrical man named "Him". I'm talking about a demonic zombie sentient prison guard named Brutus. I'm talking about a heavily armored mech zombie called a Panzer Soldat. I'm talking about an ominous and tragic ghost lady named Sarah. I'm talking about a naive and helpful giant with no name. I'm talking amazing. I'm talking big. I'm talking Thor. Odin. Freya.
  13. I understand what you are saying, but I still believe those things to be statistically negligible. We don't judge weapons in zombies by accuracy. You wanna choose an RPD over a HAMR? Go ahead. The HAMR is the better weapon by damage, but if you don't like the accuracy, you can choose a weapon capable of less damage. That is your choice. But when choosing the BETTER weapon, i.e. the weapon capable of more damage, 100% accuracy should be employed. Obviously one cannot actually get 100%, but the ideal test would get as close as it could. Any misses I think would be negligible, as long as the tester(s) were capable.
  14. These are not regular bullets. It doesn't work the same. Especially because it isn't insta-kill. Every shot, every damage, every reload. You have decimal points. One magazine might get you 13.84395 kills. Correct data would need all the ammo. And missing isn't a problem. If you have the same guys get the data, the statistical error will be similar throughout the data, making it comparable. i.e. You miss 2% of the shots with fire, you also miss 2% with ice. Especially when you are running circles at high rounds, it is easy to make every shot hit. Trust me, the method works. It has been done before with the Ray Gun. As for the charged shots, there'd have to be separate tests for each one. One with charged shots only. One with none at all. Sadly though, that is even more of a reason why no one will test it.
  15. Well I know exactly the method, it is just difficult to pull off. You have to be at an incredibly high round. You have to have full ammo in all of the staffs. Then you run circles and gets kills solely with one of the staffs. If you're doing co-op, each person can have a staff. You can use your kill-counter to keep track of how many kills you get it. Then you tally up how many kills you get, and you can compare them. It would be best if this was done with the upgraded versions, as that statistic matters more. Also it would be best if the results were repeated to phase out user error. Also, Panzer Soldats would have to be killed with a separate weapon, like a Mark II. The hardest part about it though, is that you have to be at a round that is so high that you are able to go through all of the ammo without ending the round, for the comparison only works if the zombies' health is a constant, not another variable. Perhaps you can ask ChopperNator to test it.
  16. Infest was working on a custom map thingamajig for this site. Perhaps we could finish it and have at the top "In memory of Brian 'Yoteslaya'" or something like that, like books and films do? Great idea murder. Was there any thing in zombies that he loved the most? Favorite weapon? Character? Did he have a catch phrase? Did you know that he had his own zombie map? He had one called Yote's Lair that was made for him as a present by some really top-notch guys. Honestly it is one of the best custom maps (in my opinion).
  17. Infest was working on a custom map thingamajig for this site. Perhaps we could finish it and have at the top "In memory of Brian 'Yoteslaya'" or something like that, like books and films do?
  18. I actually attempted to combine all of the weapon data that's been figured out by Tom852 and BinSys, and fill in the missing holes, including the staffs, and try to make a definitive which weapon is better chart. However, it won't work, sadly. There's too many holes. To fill in that information would take a team of people to scout out data. Most people don't have the time nor capability to do that. So, with some weapons, I could tell you which is better, but there are some, like the staffs, that I cannot. : /
  19. Like others have said, he inspired me to go get the custom maps for Zombies on the PC. In fact, I even watched his tutorials to figure out how to do it. In fact, I even watched all of his videos (at the time) to evaluate which maps to download. I trusted Yote's opinion in that regard higher than anyone else's. *sigh* : (
  20. That's awful. : ( I liked him. I might have to go play Yote's Lair as a form of homage. : /
  21. To be fair, early easter egg videos are a bad example. The reason is that the whole world tries to figure it out simultaneously. There is NEVER a SINGLE discoverer of anything. It is called multiple discovery. However, with other things, I agree. However, not all Youtube users are bad in that regard. Some are morally upright.
  22. I really only thinks this stems from the surprisingly (to me) overwhelming misconception of the Pack-A-Punch camo in Origins. People think blue = ice and go "why?". But actually the camo represents pure 115. To do an elemental thing I think would take away from it being pure 115. I mean, sure it could still be elemental versions of 115, but it wouldn't be pure 115. And I think that is the whole point.
  23. Thank you Mega. And no. I did not know what you were saying, for what you were saying was incorrect. Mega specified what you meant, which was correct, but that is not what you said. Nevertheless, thank you for pointing it out. I need to try this sometime.
  24. I'm nearly definitely sure that the walls still move even if you have zero staffs built.
