  1. @RedDeadRiot Yes, I agree! Loved upgrading weapons for the first time. I was just blown away when I upgraded the Ray Gun. Remember reading how the X2 didn't do splash damage anymore only to test it out and die hahaha. Good times.
  2. Oh man, so many great moments from this game. I can't pick just one. I loved when I finally killed the sniper in Vendetta on Veteran. That took me a solid week to do, since WaW was my first FPS. I also loved completing the campaign on veteran after what was months of hard work. I loved playing Nacht for the first time. My friends who also had the game and were already enamoured by Call of Duty invited me to play a mode called "Nazi Zombies" one day. After getting to round 17, I realized how much I loved this game mode. My palms were sweating, my hands were shaking and my heart was pounding. This is where it started for me and I'll always fondly remember it. I loved the build up to Der Riese. I remember when they updated the game and we got our first glimpse of Der Riese from the map selection screen (it was greyed out since the map wasn't out). I remember talking with randoms in SNN about how excited we were for the map to come out. I met some good friends from these lobbies who are still on my friends list to this day. The trailer for the map was spectacular and I watched it several times a day until MP3 was released. I loved camping on the catwalk in Der Riese. Just a little strategy that I've always enjoyed. It was always a great time with four people. Anyway, with those in mind, I really hope that Treyarch releases another WW2 game. I'm sick of the future! Take me back to the past.
  3. Will you be able to play it? Yes. Will you be able to play it with nice graphics? Most likely not. If you only have onboard graphics, you're probably going to have to lower your resolution to something less than optimal.
  4. This is mainly because it has one of the easiest, if not the easiest, training spots in all of Call of Duty Zombies history. In fact, this spot, I believe, made the whole training method as a whole a big thing.
  5. I'm sorry, but the "connection" to Paris is a long shot, even for Zombies. There's absolutely nothing here that could relate to that apart from your own concept. Personally, I believe that this is a sort of connection to the Fly Trap easter egg from Der Riese that's been mentioned already.
  6. The figure looks like it was "smudged" or scribbled out before being crossed out. I still think it's a human. Now, if it's Richtofen is a whole other question.
  7. Just watched Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. Very interesting move, and a neat way of putting the whole "horror" genre in perspective.

  8. Proud of you all! You have officially become bananas! Congratulations!
  9. Ah, yes, the PPSh. Quite possibly my most favourite weapon in Zombies history. Great for points. Seasons don't fear The Reaper, but the zombies sure do.
  10. Anyone have WaW for 360/PC? Would love to get some original Nazi Zombies action going on.

  11. Ah, the Fly Trap. The nostalgia! I remember how the community had no idea what it was until a few days after Der Riese was released. Everyone thought it was a new trap like the Flogger... Interesting connection, yourmapper. Der Riese seems to be playing a bigger role than we previously thought for this presentation.
  12. Overall, the MG42 is a better weapon. It has a fast fire rate and much quicker reload time. Even though the Browning does more damage, its slower RoF and lengthy reload time hinder it. It's still a fantastic weapon, but when comparing the two, the MG is better.
  13. Browsing some of my old posts and threads. The memories are making me happy and sad at the same time.

      Covert Gunman

The trip down memory lane. I've done it numerous times for the site. It's always very interesting.

  14. Honestly, I can't see anyone being able to read this. It looks like a bunch of scribbles that are designed to look like words. Besides, it's a few words (or parts of words) that wouldn't make much sense anyway.
  15. I'm pretty sure that's in the Help Room somewhere. I remember seeing the boarded up window.
  16. Got a retweet from Jimmy Z himself. Life goals = met.

So does this mean you're like in?

  17. Who said we didn't? This was merely wishful thinking. Besides, one of the main reasons 3Arc's decision to focus on to just regular Zombies was mainly due to the setting of Black Ops. It wouldn't make sense to fight Nazi Zombies in a Cold War era game. Also, Black Ops wasn't banned in Germany. They toned down some Nazi symbolism in Kino Der Toten. In any case, let's not start a discussion on this in this thread.
  18. Although I love that idea (I even pitched a return to an "expanded" Der Riese in a thread once), I'm pretty sure that only alluded to the end of WaW Zombies. Still, it's always been an idea I've wanted to happen for a long time and I really want it to become a reality.
  19. Green Feed 2: Electric Boogaloo

  20. Interesting connections, BHS. Personally, with all this information, I kinda have an idea. Let's see what we have here: The "new" Der Riese loading screen The "new" picture of a wall weapon An area in Der Riese that looks very similar to the "new" picture I think this somewhat hints at a possible remake of Der Riese that Treyarch had in mind during the BO2/Ghosts DLC season. Like I said previously, when the new personalization packs were announced during Ghosts' run, some people (including myself) hoped that this could mean that Treyarch would re-release older maps too. Now, let's just assume that they were in the process of remaking Der Riese, aka one of the most popular Zombie maps in history. In the process of doing so, however, they decided to replace some of the wall weapons with newer weapons that fit the BO2 engine instead of remaking them ala the MP40 and STG. Now, you might be asking what weapon is depicted in the outline, then. Well, that's a bit of a tough question, but I think I found the best answer. By looking at the HUD icons for every gun featured in BO2, the one that matches the outline the most is the SMR: Of course, the resemblance isn't perfect, as the barrel in the outline isn't as long as the SMR, but you cannot deny how much they look alike. So all in all, I just believe that all of that information just lets us know that a Der Riese remake (and possibly others) were in the process of development before they were ultimately scrapped.
  21. Those who cannot appreciate the past will surely falter in the future.

Is this a go at wanting WAW 2? Because another futuristic COD would be my bet come november.

Oh so you're just screwing with us again Jimmy...

  22. Moved both this thread and your other one. While interesting reads, they weren't fit for R&D, and can only really fit well in General Zombies. Keep up the good threads.
  23. In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

  24. You've misread me. He stated it was a concept, and I replied in regards to that. I am agreeing with Slade.
