  1. well that's exactly what SMM has been saying. whether its a rerelease game on next gen or new dlc on BO2, his main argument has been that he doesn't want new content because they should be solely focused on making the best game possible for 2015 (which they won't even be starting work on for quite some time which is why new content now would have no effect on cod 2015 but whatever) But to answer your original statement, no i don't think there would be sufficient support for a stand alone game. The zombie community is still a niche, and is not large enough to support a stand alone release IMO
  2. disagree. It's exactly what Boom said. CoD used to be fun on its own merit. we didnt need michael myers snoop dog or predator to make it fun, it was fun as a stand alone product with its own original content. Ghosts is obviously not selling well, and IW is now trying to bolster sales of dlc through use of celebrity endorsement and gimmicks aka jumping the shark. If treyarch had done something like this, the criticism from me at least would be the same. We have all given treyarch plenty of criticism over BO2 zombies. Its quite possible that the main culprit for ghosts sucking is the whole nature of developing for 2 diff generations of consoles. It can be a scapegoat at least But proof that CoD is really targeting the lowest common denominator is in the snoop dogg/weed camo/gimmicky map aspects I can only hope that in 2015 treyarch can make CoD fun because of CoD, not because of a bunch of pop culture gimmicks
  3. IW just HAS to get their weed into the game don't they lol Bunch of stoners, maybe that's why their games go *puts on sun glasses* up in smoke YEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
  4. RE: those concerned that Treyarch releasing zombie content prior to the 2015 cod would somehow diminish the product in the 2015 COD. Do you really think that just by doubling the time to develop that somehow they are really going to eliminate all glitches and make the BEST MAP EVAR ? There's a point where it takes X amount of time to develop something and by taking double that time I think they'd be more likely to get burnt out and have creativity and drive stifled. And as far as glitches, i really just think thats a support issue. there's no amount of testing they could do in house that's going to find what hundreds of thousands of us are going to. They just need to maybe have some sort of formal glitch report either in game or online and a team to investigate and see if it's fixable. rather than relying on the activision message boards and twitter just my 2 cents about the complaints about glitchy/buggy zombies maps, which in my opinion are way overblown, and personally I have very rarely had a game effected by any sort of glitch. Most of you are being affected by some sort of connection problem (which isn't fixable on treyarch's end) The few problems like the death at end of elevator shaft in die rise got fixed sure it would be nice if it was faster, but hey its fixed now
  5. Prediction for next micro transaction Doge skin for the guard dog score streak
  6. I think the sentiment is that general popular opinion is that the game kinda blows. So rather than try and improve the game they are just pushing these gimmicky DLC's out. I don't have a problem with the Weapon skins, i bought those for BO2. But the character models from previous COD's is stupid imo because the person using them can't even see it! (unlike weapon camo) and then these voice over packs just take the cake. I'm sure a bunch of broski's are gonna bro out and buy the weed camo and snoop VO pack because #yolo #420 #swag
  7. , eh I'd buy it if I had a next gen console, but I wouldn't buy a next gen console solely for the reason of having this type of game. Im content to just switch discs for another year or 2 until a price drop, or until we get brand new zombies perhaps
  8. I think this would be perfect. The prestige system used in multiplayer is still around for a reason, because it works and is popular and gives players a tangible or quantifiable result I think something like that would be perfect for zombies. Create a challenge system too for gamer cards or emblems or weapon camo's or player skins, Maybe unlockable characters. But have ranking up based on XP. it fixes two things. 1) the clique-y nature of segmenting zombie players based on "skill" (i.e. shotty players refusing to play with any one less than a knife), And 2) it rewards players for playing, not just for high rounds low downs. Just like in MP you may see a prestige master and assume they must be really good. well they could be, but they also may have just played mediocre for a very long time
  9. need one for Shangri-la EE's + high as we can go tonight at 7-7:30 pm central time who's in?

  10. Treyarch just tweeted about the situation saying their working on seeing if there is a fix. should have some word soon i'd imagine
  11. nah i don't have a one yet. not in the budget quite yet lol. Thanks though, i'm sure it would be more fun to play with people who know what they're doing lol!
  12. I've played about 3 games with randoms. Seems the same as the other 2. Havent built any special guns or anything i guess you can do that stuff. Seems like they're trying to introduce new elements, but its so abstract. I'll keep giving it a fair shot, but i can't get into this mode. Wouldn't even be buying the dlc's except i get so many free xbox card codes from bing rewards and never have enough things to spend them on lol
  13. I was browsing through the ATVIAssist twitter replies, and it appears this has affected the MP leaderboards as well. This is pretty bizarre . the replies are contradicting though lol some say there's nothing they can do: and some say they're working on it:
  14. wowe.... GG activision. NOW YOU OWE US NEW MAPS DAMMIT!
  15. I tweeted @atviassist but have yet to receive a reply. Crappy
  16. uh oh. i better check when i get home Yep sure enough all my rounds are gone. :( :(
  17. Looks like there was a title update or hot fix today that added in point streak rewards for playing the objective in KC, Dom, and one other can't remember. Just another thing that BO2 got right
  18. I would bet you could tweet @ATVIAssist describing the problem and they can help. I've seen them do those things all the time
  19. Right, and I think we are all in agreement that it is still pretty unlikely as it would be a pretty big risk on Activisions part to stray from what up til now has been a very successful strategy. I also agree that revamps of past maps would be the most likely as it would have the least cost i assume. could keep the same EE's in those maps but include new rewards, like a perma perks reward for the ascension EE, or other creative things. I would think it would be centered around fun, rather than storyline advancement or leaderboards. And in fact, there still are a lot of people that BO2 and tranzit was their first zombies experience, and may not have ever played BO1. I think they'll see how the sales numbers from the first couple weeks or month of ghosts DLC2 sales goes, and then evaluate from there
  20. idk, my last 3 rounds have all been 35+ on buried with one of 44 at least i think, and still no shotguns. i get the point of your post for sure, but i got my skull+knife before buried came out and have done at least 3 50+ rounds on buried and a dozen 30+ and no rank up. I think I just have too many downs from the first couple weeks the game was out tryign to get the persistent quick revive for my friends
  21. Just going to inject some concrete facts into this discussion as by and large it has been guesstimates and heresay: This is from around 6:00 pm central time last night. again remembering this is only 5 days after DLC drop. Ghosts: keep in mind this includes MP, Extinction, Squads, the whole thing Now here's BO2 multiplayer and zombies so on xbox 360 counting everything together there were 163061 on bo2 and 131384 on ghosts for a difference of 31677 now factor in the xbox one players which i've heard is normally in the 20k - 25k range they are fairly similar, but still more players on BO2. And that's 4 days after a map pack release. Now perhaps zombies is the sole reason (personally i dont think so) that BO2 had so many more players around DLC times, but still to whomever stated 140k was the average number of MP on BO2 most of the time, I totally disagree. As i stated earlier, during the main season for BO2 that number was normally 300k - 400k of course i can't go back in time and prove that, but i am certain of it. Now here's another little tidbit I found yesterday dropping the price of ghosts to $20?? Insane. So I post all this only to support that at this point, it may actually make sense for activision to switch things up here. I use the example of Crystal Pepsi. Most of you are probably too young to remember Crystal Pepsi. It was a clear Cola that Pepsi came out with i believe in the late 80's or early 90's. It was super popular for a couple of months, but once the newness wore off and people realized it was actually terrible tasting compared to regular pepsi, it was discontinued and pepsi went other directions. So it certainly is not crazy to think that even though Ghosts will continue to get their 4 DLC packs to satisfy promises to season pass holders, it is certainly feasable that due to low sales, they may try and go another direction to make up some of that lost revenue, whether that be by a map pack, or microtransactions Thanks for reading, i love you guys :edit: to Stop mocking me0, I dont think that releasing new material for BO2 would in any way take away from the effort that will be put into the next treyarch cod. I think i've mentioned it before that they could take feedback from any new material that is released into consideration when working on 2015 cod zombies as well. Just to say i dont think it would be such a terrible thing for more content to be released in terms of the next CoD zombies being worse because of it
