  1. fantastic. if i ever get the equipment, i want to start doing a series on youtube called "Adventures with Noobtar" noobtar is a friend of mine's gamer tag, and he is almost 40 years old but loves playing zombies. He just isn't very good, and every single game we play there is a "noobtar moment" where he does something so stupid it just makes everybody's head spin. Like 2 nights ago playing buried, he swears he can go by himself through the maze to the PaP. after several minnutes stuck in the maze, i see a revive symbol show up and disappear quickly followed by "what the hell!!??" of course he had fallen through the hole at the bottom of the stairs and lost all of his upgraded guns. also there was this moment of obliviousness: where Noobtar is marlton, and i am Misty (GT used to be SBUGolf22) maybe i can make it happen some day
  2. does anyone know how to lose the persistent tombstone upgrade? it is really screwing me out of getting the "Shafted" achievement

      well i still have the tombstone perk, BUT i did get the achievement. I just waited til i had 1 zomb left. then went down, bought who's who, went down, revived myself, then bought SC, and i finished it. Thanks for the input though!

  3. I just feel like this: What zombies story have you ever seen where it ends with the humans eradicating the zombies forever and living happily ever after. Obviously we just agree to disagree on this issue, but maybe the difference is this: some people play zombies to kill zombies. some people play zombies to avoid death by zombies long enough to complete the extra tasks i.e. easter eggs. As if the zombies are just a nuisance to you completing steps a, b, c, etc. Like for Moon for instance, if you do the EE and get all the perks, is there really a great benefit to maybe flipping a switch to end the game or just pushing start and quit, than just letting the horde overcome you? For me it is just the difference between, if i can end the game without getting killed by zombies, i feel like i beat the map. and honestly would be less inclined to play it again, whereas at its core, zombies has always been about getting farther as opposed to beating the game. just my $0.02 behind my thoughts another argument against game ending EE's... i was once in a great game with Randoms on MotD, all had mics and we were doing great, on round 32 or so, with good communication (or so we thought). then the weasel went rogue. and i was on the roof just doing my thing killing zombs, and all of a sudden we're on the damn bridge and the game is over. I mean how lame is that? maybe i could get behind it if all 4 players had to "turn their key" to end the game, but again, its just the principle of the thing lol :edit: sorry this may not be the best thread to discuss this in. perhaps i will make a thread with a poll? so that people can vote? see what the majority likes and perhaps that will bear some influence to treyarch for the next game... I realize i may be a minority here, and if that is the case i would hope they would cater to the majority even if its against my wishes
  4. I would much rather just have a "End-game" cut scene after death by zombie that contained any relevant plot points to round out the map. The basic premise of cod zombies is "fight off endless waves of the undead horde" or whatever it said on the BO1 menu. The game ending EE's just seem a cheap cop out to what the game is supposed to be.

  7. big update for Advanced Warfare today. New weapon for season pass owners. The Ohm. bunch of weapons balancing too. I'd say a week from today we'll get a proper preview of the next DLC pack

  8. yes, but they had little notches inbetween the even numbers to signify the odd numbers right? only listing the even numbers was just a space issue, but you can still tune the tv to odd numbered channels iirc no offense but i'm rather skeptical on the tv dials holding any info of significance. at least not yet
  9. there is a reason for all the gun balancing in CoD. It isn't real life, it is a video game, and video games need to be balanced to be fun.

I don't know if i would call the exo zombies reward "epic" i think we throw that word around a bit to hastily these days. and i disagree about Mob of the Dead and Origins, as ending the game should never ever be an option in zombies, easter egg or not. In general i agree with the OP, its time they shake it up and give us some other rewards for doing the story easter eggs. Moon and Shang had it right (shang especially if you didn't need to do it 4 times for everyone to have the permanent perks) Id like to see permanent perks as a standard reward in game for doing EE's along with whatever things come from the steps (i.e. hells redeemer, elemental fists, upgraded staffs etc) and then also some unique stuff like weapon skins, calling cards for MP, character customizations for Z's or MP. just a little extra incentive to do the EE's

      Them and IW both piss me off with that, 3arc usually puts em in rotation right when double xp ends (for the map pack release the weekend after) if i remember right

  13. Well we may just be misinterpretating him. He already said they were hinting at it, so he may have just been speculating and putting it across wrong. Just saying we should ask him to be a little more in-depth than instantly presuming he is a troll. Although I agree that we should be more inviting to all members, that cat did make multiple posts claiming fact without any evidence, and that generally is frowned upon. It would be different if he said "i believe that" or "im guessing" doesnt seem like english is a second language to him or anything, he was just stating info without any backing which i dont particularly appreciate. If i came here and posted "They are re-making ascension with and extra easter egg step" without giving any sources or proof, i would expect the same response Anyway, we are getting ever so much closer to reveal time. probably only a couple months to go by now!
  14. You wouldn't like this? MAAAAANNN I would LOVE if they make WaW2. WaW was the grittiest, raw, scary, fun as shit, awesome CoD. I would love to see what they can do with visuals from that time period on next gen hardware. I hope hope hope!!
  15. To be honest I was being a little tongue in cheek with a couple of things like the commando roll I agree with you on the thunder gun. However I suppose they could have a boss like George drop a gold plated one or something if we kill them (like he dropped the waffe). Wonderweapons should definately be unique for each map,although I don't mind if they carry over some wonderweapons for a map or two. However the ray gun is a pistol wonderweapon, considering the original ray gun has been in every single map since world at war I don't see why a ray gun mark 3 would effect having a unique primary WW for each map. In terms of becoming a zombie, it works pretty simply in exo zombies, if you die in coop your player becomes a zombie for the rest of the round which has to be killed. You can't control it as you are in spectator and you still respawn like normal the next round. However I guess that doesn't really make sense if you think about it as if you kill the zombified character how can they respawn... You don't like my idea of brutally killing off the BO2 characters? I have this whole scenario planned out where Stuhlinger gets a craving again for 'the flesh' which tips him over the edge into complete madness Apocalypse Now style and he kills the remaining BO2 characters starting with Marlton (maybe Misty gets away) then becomes a zombie himself. But that's just me. LOL, i know most people didn't care for the BO2 N4 characters, but brutally killing them after all their hard work seems a little harsh! But based on the events of Buried in BO2, they may be trapped there for the foreseeable future anyway

  17. Misty abigail Briarton. Her middle name is Abigail.....unless misty is her nickname and abigail is her whatever.....The Name abigail is also in the walls in Kino der toten. So does the name Abigail mean those two things are connected? Hell no. The same way that a few digits being the same means nothing. In Shangri-la I believe the name Brock is followed by Russman. According to Some data files which someone else will have to find because I am no good with Digging through game files however, just because the name russman appears does not mean it has any connections to Black Russman from Tranzit. 115 can be typed in to the number slots in MOTD to small easter egg. However that does not mean they are related. It being Hell and all and not 115. This is a little more than "a few digits matching" though, right? it is specifically digits matching prisoners numbers from MOTD. and vials of their blood. I know you don't think there is any way that MotD is more than just filler and not canon to the storyline, but i think there's a lot of evidence to the contrary @Kyle8957 lol okay
  18. The stuff in green i definitely am in favor of. The stuff in red, definitely against. Stuff still in regular text i have no opinion of. The yellow ones, are tricky. Although it sounds fun to become a zombie after bleeding out, it seems like it could cause some unintentional side effects. I think this would work good for grief, but not for regular co-op And Ray gun, i suppose it would be ok to introduce another one, but i'd rather them focus on making new awesome wonder weapons, hence the red on the thundergun. im ok with a classics map pack having thundergun in it like ascension or kino remastered, but new maps should have new WW's
  19. Very much this. Richtofen didn't have a profile image so they just reused one of the others, explaining why it was smudged as well as crossed out. The fact that he didn't originally have a profile image back then is a little interesting, was all of this being eluded to back then? That is a really good question actually. I've always wondered how much they are actively planning on eluding to things in the future, or whether as things evolve and as community theories and feedback circulate, they go back and find little things from the past to bring back and create an allusion. Like i'm thinking the bulletin boards in Der Reise having the pic of the lighthouse from Call of the Dead. Did they legitimately put that pic there in der reise already having planned to make a map including that lighthouse, or did they go back and look for things we noticed in Der Reise, and then storyboard map concepts based around what we saw and found........ the world may never know
  20. It looks really good. I do like having a main page to default to as opposed to just the forum, even though the forum is the meat and potatoes of our site. I think it could certainly drive some additional traffic to the site overall. It will take some getting used to as with any change, but I like where we are headed
  21. That's one reason, but also: remember, next-gen: The entire point of re-creating the maps, does not have a BO2 variant. A summer 2016 add-on for BO2 maps would be ideal for this. Good points both of you... i completely forgot that about the obvious improvements even just graphically that next gen will bring. I'm for the "through origins" option now, but like NV said, i think spacing them out over time would be ideal
  22. I dont' think it would be necessary to re-release any BO2 maps as of yet... So i'd stop with Moon. I would only be for it however, if it in no way prevented new maps from being released, or if it is just an exact piece-for-piece remake. There would need to be at very least some new guns/perks/areas That being said, I would certainly be willing to pay extra for classic map packs, as long as the previous criteria were met Keep in mind that the previous maps are considered "classic" for a reason. If we change them too much it could quite possibly be for the worse
  23. I have to say it is Richtofen, not because of anything seen specifically in that picture, but in that it is obviously Richtofen that was scratched out on the Origins profile lineup pic. So why would we have two different characters scratched out, one being Richtofen, one being a mystery character ?
  24. I agree with most of those suggestions. I think they help foster innovation without completely straying from the base elements. I too hated the persistent perks. I think the 4 WW system like origins was really great. I don't like buildables in general, but the staffs seemed to work fairly organically. I'd prefer each character to maybe have a "challenge" like the origins challenge chest, and perhaps after completing a moderately difficult challenge, the player can retrieve their personal WW from the chest. I like that idea so that people can't be bothered with "calling" a specific WW, and it is just up to who you start the game as, as to which WW you will have access to.. And I agree somewhat about the survival maps, but there should be much less focus on them. I mean I prefer the bigger maps of course, but I would be lying if i said i didn't have a ton of fun just playing custom game on Town starting on round 20 and playing for 30 minutes and still having the "high round" experience
