  1. 83457, I give you credit for staying somewhere long enough to camp, They did a good job on SOE to combat camping well with the non fixable doors/windows. I will do my diligence in searching for a true camp spot, but my "Camping" spot of choice is Nero's Lair. I find that the openings are just the right amount of zombies that come through even @ rounds 30+ are minimal and easy to dispatch of. 4 main openings, Front Door, Back door (catwalk) and 2 windows (Next to top hat and in the back below Catwalk) I will Initially run around the ritual table, as soon as I get between 5-10+ zombies I run backwards on the right hand side and just headshot like crazy. With a PaP weapon, turned, thunder wall, blast furnace its almost OP...... Did this till I got bored and quit out.... after 40+ its redundant. Not enough time to put 4+ hours on a game as my daughter needs to be entertained after 2 hours LOL!
  2. I play 4 player a lot, couple things that we have found. 1) Opening the egg early is great, not sure if this helps out, random tip. "When you finish nero's ritual, I go straight to the train board to find out where the train is, I go there next as we can (4players) Can complete the rituals, (Rocket Shield, Fuses, take train buy door next to train after you complete each ritual, RS and fuse should be in same area) and Eggs(Note signs when taking train) on round 1. Use the train to get to the other areas without opening the front door (Junction doors) 2) When on round 2 or 3 filling eggs, it takes time because the limited zombies, 2 ways we do this and normal takes up to round 5 to 6 to complete, but 2a) Go in groups of 2, and work together not against each other, When in groups of 2 the zombies spawn in greater numbers, let one guy finish his egg and make sure he stays with you till your egg is finish, from there Rotate to the next area. Again in groups of 2 2b) Go individually and rotate by communicate whom has finished next, then rotate from there, I noticed this takes a little longer than above step, but it helps to keep crowding and allows you to train zombies when you are completed and take them to another player or train them to your next statue. 3) COMMUNICATE, dont be that guy that goes shooting zombies in your area when you are done, When your egg is finished and you still have 2+ zombies ask if anyone needs the zombies for their egg, be the nice guy and take it over to them. Other than that.... Water Front is the biggest pain in the but, the key is making sure the Door on the left leading to the train is open, that is the 4th corner that zombies spawn, if you dont zombies will only spawn from the back window and the window near the landing, Sometimes zombies come up from the stairs but that takes forever, so again when you are doing your train rides/RS,Fuse run, open that door leading to the Cathulu statue. Hope this helps!
  3. Things That have happened to Me...... 1. I roll on the bubble gum machine and fail to grab the piece of gum, is that gum suppose to be lost? For me if I did not grab it it does not count against me. 2. I go down and bleed out is the gum I am holding suppose to be lost? This has glitched on me a couple times, so inconclusive. Normally I would assume it would be lost. 3. Host ends the game? Am i suppose to get all the gum i used during that game back? Host end game is is a lost GG,....The game eneded regardless of how it ended, host ended or everyone dies, you should lose all GG 3A. Connection fails? Connect Fail, I have gotten my GG back, but inconclusive also for me, If I do not use a GG at all in game, picked it up from the machine, connection fail, I got it back 100% of the time, But if I have used it and Dashboard or Connection failed, sometimes I do not get them back 4. I re roll on the bubble gum machine, when i already have a piece, is the replaced unused gum suppose to be lost? Supposed to be lost, but I have gotten my GG back....or it has not counted as a used GG, I.E. I get After taste early in the round and roll to get in plain sight or something else, I have kept my After taste. Some things that have happened to me.
  4. That is what I am guessing, but wife and child is away, and I have been playing this for months.... has this happened to anyone else, Heck Nightmare, you have been playing for a long time has this ever happened to you? SOE is pretty glitchy to begin with by this was the first time I have ever seen it happen?
  5. Awe! See I do not have the map either, I thought it would be a glitch like that thinking it would go back and forth, But NO I do not have the Giant, Been playing Zombies since WAW, played hours on Die Ries on WAW and BO...so didnt think buying the $49.99 map pack for the Giant was worth it =)
  6. YES YES, I understand this, But This was not "The Giant" We were playing Shadows of Evil. The loading screen with us, had, The boxer, Jessica rabbit, and The Police Man, No Nero, But instead of Nero it was Richtophen?
  7. Richtophen? Has Any seen this? As a playable character or a glitch in the loading screen? HE IS ACTUALLY There, not just in the cut seen but an actual loading character? When we went in game, it was the normal SOE characters, but WTF in SOE hes was showing as a loading character??? Thoughts??
  8. Hey @Chopper, Heheh, its nice to know some people are familiar with what I am talking about! This is the thing, Emerald Weapon is a side quest that is not required to the game and not necessarily a hindrance unless, you are going around looking for him. The Margwas on the other hand are intended to be. Secondly, The abuse of the game mechanics, I would not say abuse of it, but there are 3 options, Maxing out the characters (Which is not abuse but going through the motions), The correct Materia setup (which you must collect and setup in the first place) or yes the Lucky 777s that are I think was calculated in 1:100,000 chance? Pure luck, Not abuse. The Margwas as we agreed are not difficult and do not require anything special to dispose of, you can use all weapons to kill it (knife, and blood hound too)....while time consuming requires nothing special. They are a hindrance again... not challenge, side quest, easter egg etc. Again Glitching, personal I have no issues....ESPECIALLY when groups are using it for purposeful means, what do I mean, if they are EE hunters you need a break you need opportunities to scourer the map. So you know what good on them. I just feel if they use the glitch to get accolades like highest round and want to boast about it.... meh not so much, Thats just my $0.02!
  9. Then I think the Dev team did its job with it.......Its a hindrance of the game......
  10. LOL... I know what you mean..... but 2 ways to look at it..... Its the other players fault for not handling the margwa thats spawns infront of them, secondly that was the challenged added..... "Random" players are probably what keeps me on my toes the most..... they are so unpredictable. leaving a margwa on you is not Treyarchs/dev teams fault, It was just another way to make it different from the dog rounds style play. Think of it this way...when you are upgrading your swords the Margwas are just yours....... They dont attack anyone else but you.... Last point..... Fault always falls on the player.... you cant never really blame the dev team.... what do I mean, Well, 1) margwa spawn randomly, if the player is good enough then they can handle right? If the player sucks well thats the player 2) If you are doing your upgrade and margwa spawns whos fault for not saving a zombie that last round to keep from margwas spawning or why did you start your upgrade (Not "you" but in general) again payers fault. Margwas are a fun boss... it keeps you on your toes..... It challenges you...They are not impossible.... wanna know an impossible boss?? Emerald Weapon from Final Fantasy 7
  11. Agreed... Its funny.... 2 reasons I generally die on SOE 1) Margwas, running backwards shooting them and somehow a zombie traps me from behind as I am running backwards 2) Trying to saving a fallen teammate and run into their damn train.... I hate when I do this....now I only beast to them in round 20+ never go in their area to do a normal revive unless I have to. Margwas was intended to make the rounds more challenging, Distract you from the zombies running around the map and allow for a tougher expereince for the experience players....... As zombies evolve so does the player, they get better and better so devs have to come up with ideas to make the game more challenging..... COMMON this Easter egg was on par with COTD & Ascension and all the rest of the other long winded EE, but it was figured out within in a weak..... how does a dev team keep players happy..... by making the game harder and throwing stupid monkey wrenches at us...... Embrace it.... its how communities like CODZ survive, by the endless discussions... Glitching the game proves one thing, that you are good enough to figure it out how to beat the game in ways it was not intended too... Its not a bad thing at all.... but it was just not the "Intended" way thats all.
  12. Again Game Mechanics though....its just how the way it was built in to hinder your longer term play...... Tweaking to make the AI's easier on the players part defeats the purpose of having them in there. The Flying wasp & and Meatballs, play the rolls of the dog...... Margwa....is just another pain in our butts to play harder and come up with better strategies on playing the map.... Removing them or tweaking them in favor of the player......changes everything... might as well go back to playing WAW zombies.....
  13. My useless $0.02 The despawning margwa is more a of a "Glitch" like the swords and the Mystery box, You are changing the game mechanics. The Flags and the Ammo are just an over looked game mechanics, while an advantage , you still have to complete the steps to get the ammo. I.E. defend the flag and if you fail.. you wasted all that time and the potential ammo you could have saved. I relate the Margwa situation like COTD, with Mr. George Romero, Its like taking him out of the game.... its was part of the game to make it more challenging, if you "Glitch" him out...then you might as well just not play the map as that is NOT how it was intended to play. There can be multiple ways to play this game.....truly its up to the player on how they want to play... but if they want to get some type of achievement or accolade or respect from "X' community, what ever community it may be, you need to play the game how "X" community deems it to be played.... If you are going for high rounds but sit on the Mystery Box, for 200+ rounds... well thats on you... but I dont think many people will find that as a legit 200+ round strategy...same with taking out the margwas.........
  14. bouncing into this topic..... been using the sword but damn hard to get that counter to zero...... still working on it here.....will keep updating for anything new
  15. This sounds super interesting..... I have noticed the counter but never understood what it was for.... Im going to throw this out if we have not solved this.... Wife and Kid is going away for 3 weeks.... I have 3 weeks to work on SOE....so if anyone wants to add me xbone- Exactice808 gamer tag and we can try some of these things... let me know...in the mean time, I will try this on my one. Interesting!!!...very very interesting.....
  16. Dang you got me thinking right now...... realizing the Multiverse...... we cant actually say "Who" Created the PaP, because each multiverse has a slightly different PaP machine and SOE has been the most unique of them.... The only constant is that it is fed into the machine, Goes Somewhere, upgraded and then returned. The PaP a punch in my opinion is a mini teleporter not an actual upgrading machine that does it internally. Secondly..... Now this is TOTALLY random but work with me here...... If the PaP machine is indeed a mini teleporter to a "relm" that upgrades things...... could a character go their? Hell WHY Cant anything be stuck into that machine like a Perk? For the hell of it you know when you use the Gobble Gum "on the house" it spawns a perk in front.... I wonder if I face the PaP portal in SOE while popping the gum, would it manifest the perk bottle in the machine? (This is stupid as I know it wont work but was just making a point) Why cant we use the PaP for other things? Again in my mind.... its a mini teleporter? "Michael Faraday" .... his work.....
  17. Just for fun, I looked up "Blacksmith" as a definition and also Looked UP Michael Faraday "Faraday's breakthrough came when he wrapped two insulated coils of wire around an iron ring, and found that upon passing a current through one coil a momentary current was induced in the other coil.[2] This phenomenon is now known as mutual induction.[44] The iron ring-coil apparatus is still on display at the Royal Institution. " Definition of blacksmith : a person who makes or repairs things made out of iron What if Michael Faraday being involved in the Teleporters and the PaP earned him some kind of nickname, The Coils from the Teleport and the talk about current and electromagnetic fields are derived from Faraday discovery? Outside of that...... Someone had to create the PaP.... in the "Multiverse" the need arouse to have a powerful upgraded weapon. I wonder if we pull this thread... were it would lead us..
  18. Again... interesting.... funny this has been the least discussed in my opinion.... why?????
  19. Voyager, I had to start catching up and saw a couple of your post and started to catch on, about a couple of your theories, I will be keeping my eyes on it. I just feel uneasy lately about the PaP machines. It seems such an important tool in the Game yet, people seem to have just taken it like a perk machine, nothing more dispenses something, yet the PaP machine changes a weapon where the Perk Bottles were made and finite, its sits there without changing. But the PaP, it moves around, it changes multiple weapons etc etc.... I just feel like we are forgetting or leaving something out..... PS Voyager, DAMN Love your Sig!...that is one cool Picture (FMA, is definitely one of my top 3 Animes)
  20. Ok. this does make sense and this is kind of what I was thinking.... While the PaP is different from Multiverse to Multiverse, in essence the affect of the gun is the same and affected by the Singular universe. In other words the PaP is the constant...the one thing that doesnt change. Does anyone know where or what universe this is? WHAT is causing the upgraded guns? AHHHH I do remember somewhere, saying that SOE happens before Kino, so SOE is older. Is that why the PaP is "primitive" with the tentacle and the portal? Again has there been an in-depth discussion about the actual PaP machine, Do you think the origin of the Machine or location that the weapons are "upgraded" have any affect to the Storyline and or even "Easter Eggs" that TreyArc has stated we have not found?
  21. Hey Gang..... LOOOOONNNGGGG Time Zombie lover.... took a break between Black ops 1 and Black ops 2, Sorry you Tranzit Fans....but that killed Zombies for me.... Than SOE got me back..... But I will say.... Kino, Asscension , COTD, and Verruct and will always have a special place in my heart.... OK..... for my side discussion...... I tried to do a quick "Forum Search" about the Pack a Punch, but to no avail, I am sure this was brought up years ago, discussed and maybe forgotten. I could not find anything recently about it. Shadows of Evil really got me thinking about the PAP yet again........ As we know its a portal that is setup but in all the other maps it use the Teleporter to a PAP machine. Before I go any further, if this has been discussed please link me and you can stop here... If not and you want to continue this conversation, please feel free.... So SOE being an alternate universe and an alternate way of using the PAP, My question is while its an alternate universe, is the PAP linked to one location as it does the same effect to the Guns. What I mean is I am assuming the gun gets upgraded by someone or something and its upgraded somewhere.... Is the Somewhere a specific consistent space that links all the "Multiverses"? Secondly.... The choice of names for the guns, while its fun to see them upgraded, Does the names hold relevance to the maps its self, or to something specific. While this one I am totally shooting from the hip, Specifically, Kino and the 1911 is upgraded to "Mustang and Sally", SOE, the Bloodhound is upgraded to "Meat Wagon" I know this is totally over reading into this but..... I am curious if this will help give more indication of location or multiverse location etc. The Wonder Weapon in SOE and even the Swords have unique names (Sorry need to read up about those) but I am wondering if clues for Easter eggs are over looked over this simple machine..... I wonder if we have not actually asked the question about it, rather than just taking the machine for what its worth, I googled, and You-tubed, it trying to find a discussion about it, and nothing... 1) WHAT EXACTLY IS THE PAP MACHINE 2) WHAT IS PAP MACHINE SOE as its different from all other maps 3) HOW DOES A GUN GET PAP, Machine does the work, does it go to another dimension, what? 4) NAME, How are the names given, is there any correlation to the map or gun for the names OK going to take a break... please enlighten me! Thanks!
  22. I am here to validate OP's claim.... BUT couple items 1) Perma Perk for me is not every game it might be a glitch 2) It seems to be Mostly Widows Wine, It has happened to me 3 times in the last 10+ games 3) I do not have a video but, just noticed it. Ok so couple things... When I get widows wine specifically as its the best animation to pay attention too, when I have gone down and LOST ALL my perks, I will notice my grenades are still the Widows Wine Grenades, Secondly when I do get hit by the Zombies, the Zombies are affected by the Widows wine EVEN IF I DO NOT HAVE THE PERK. This again confirmed in 3 games that I have played. This effect last all game long. Now I am going to review this on my DVR games....just to see.... I am curious if some Mega Gum is the cause and effective, "Phoenix Up" etc.... But its weird... I have noticed the Perma Perk without doing the Easter egg.
  23. Actually lately, its been pretty good! I guess since the map has been out for about a 2 months its given the opportunity for the players to get familiar, I agree now that it isnt essential.....but it always helps and more so it lets me know how truly committed you are to playing the map LOL!
  24. Hey AsG, There is another thread, with regards to this..... In my opinion outside of the Money (Youtube views etc) I think its kind of good that some people do not reveal the tutorial........ It keeps the Zombie community active and buzzing as everyone is working hard on solving the thing. Its like when TreyArch announces something on their Twitter, the community goes buzzing. But its not like they will reveal the steps to us =) In any case..... I think you all are just awesome zombie players so keep up the good hard work and happy slaying!!!
