  1. I think the whole storyline is that they were going up there to film a movie. Then everything went to sh*t. And the scenes with them playing around is before everything happened obviously, since you can see the Bossman pre freak out. Good call. I'd say before AND during the start of everything going to shit, since they're slaying zombies in the cutscenes and such. And does anyone else notice, they seem to be hilariously paying tribute to the shows all these actors came from? Gellar looks like she's wearing a Buffy-esque outfit, Trejo gets his ridiculous Machetes, Rooker's got the bandaged head and all that kinda like his character from Walking Dead and Mr. Kruger has his Fedora.
  2. Anybody possibly get a screenshot from the movie-esque trailer of the 4 characters standing together? I have a photoshop idea that would look like some killer wallpaper. Oh, trailer in question here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_Cx82OFXM0&
  3. If you're basing it off the song heard in the more recent movie-style trailer, that's probably NOT the song. Probably. I think it's just the one they used for THAT trailer. If you even remember correctly, at the end of FIVE (SCRIPT MAP?), it had the same Game Over music as Kino, aka Abracadaver, the song from Ascension. So even if the song in this one isn't an Elena Song, it may have the same Game Over music as Ascension, which will only make us want DLC 3 more. Did I mention SCRIPT MAP btw? ya but bottom line, Treyarch didn't kill anything. Like PULSE said, in the Inside Xbox trailer, Romero was digging through some Nazi Documents for his new WWII when stumbled upon the shit Group 935 did. So when he started basing his movie off those documents, the document related shit came to life. It may not be a DIRECT story arch, but it will be related TO the story arch.
  4. fiixed it for you... Didn't need to be fixed, the Arfur Der Toten is Call of the Dead.
  5. Wrong, Stamin-Up's clear on the other side of the map from the PaP machine. You're thinking Speed Cola, which would be right above the PaP room.
  6. New characters? Where did you here this? "Escalation contains 5 all-new exceptionally varied maps; featuring 4 Multiplayer maps and an epic Zombies experience with all-new playable characters." Taken straight from the CoD Intel. http://www.callofduty.com/intel/456
  7. I wouldn't be so totally sure of an egyptian map based solely on that. Yes, it's possible, but even I would only be 50% sure, not 99%.
  8. The Crawlers were humans, not animals. One of the characters actually proves this theory. I think it was Tank, but as I was playing as Tank he said something about "Hard to believe these things used to be human!" or something like that. And i'm not too sure that Kino happened before Der Riese. It wouldn't make much sense, the Zombies wouldn't even exist without all the work Dr. Maxis and Dr. Richtofan did.
  9. At least we've disproved Survive as the name. The whole Call of the Dead thing fits the pattern of the Map Names, but at this point, that's all we know. That the map is Call of the Dead and there's supposedly gonna be new characters.
  10. And I still honestly disagree with everyone who supports Survive as a Map Name. SURVIVE is the OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE ZOMBIE MODE. Why name a map AFTER THAT?!?!
  11. I wouldn't jump straight on the Tape either. Someone pointed out, the "tape" design was also used in the First Strike design. So for all we know, this poster could really just be telling us the basic details. It would sound a little like this: "So, the next map pack's on the way. You're getting a new Zombie Map, a Hotel, a Zoo, a Convoy and a Stockpile as part of the pack. It comes out May 3rd. Enjoy."
  12. I made a post about this. Until we know the SETTING for the zombie map, we CAN'T assume the name is Survive OR Call of the Dead. Call of the Dead would only be possible if the setting were at a Communications Array of some sort. BUT We don't know the setting of the map, so we can't say that it IS Call of the Dead. And as far as Survival goes *prepares for self facepalm*...no, no, here, just go to my post, it explains my theories: viewtopic.php?f=62&t=9461
  13. @Phazer Survive by itself is a horrid name. If it were SurvivAL of _______, it would make more sense and I wouldn't be so against the name. @Optic That was the point of my post. There's obviously a common pattern in the promo poster. When you load up the Map Pack 2 Content, what would you wanna promote people to do? SEIZE the Zoo with your friends. RAID the convoy with your friends. SURVIVE Call of the Dead with your friends. AKA, PLAY ____________________ with your friends. Survive has nothing to do with the title if we're judging on the promotional art. Hell i'd bet that Zoo, Hotel, Stockpile and Convoy may not even be the names of the MP maps.
  14. Survive would be a stupid name for a zombie map. C'mon guys, think about it. Why would Treyarch name a map after THE OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF ZOMBIE MODE?!?! I made a post about the Escalation Poster here, to further fuel my question: viewtopic.php?f=62&t=9461
  15. Survive Call of the Dead partially favors my theory. I'm not saying the map's definently going to be called Call of the Dead, like I said, maybe it's Dead (Whatever's Under The Tape). I'm simply trying to nix the theory of Survive being the map name, and prove a bit more unlikelyness to Call of the Dead being the map name.
  16. Definently thinking ahead of yourself SiN. Knowing Treyarch, there will be an easter egg or two or five on the new Zombie Map, but this poster doesn't have anything to do with it. The whole SURVIVE, TAKE, SEIZE, etc, is simply Treyarch's way of saying PLAY THESE MAPS. Get it? PLAY the ____ Hotel PLAY Call of the Dead ______ PLAY the ________ Convoy
  17. Yes, this is specifically a thread for the name of the map. People seem to wanna assume it's either: SURVIVE or CALL OF THE DEAD I'd like to dig deeper into these. CALL OF THE DEAD This title for a map is very iffy. At first, when I heard it, it honestly sounds its own game. However, there is a possibility that this could be the title of the map, if it takes place in a particular location. That location being? *drum roll* A Communications Array of some sort. This conclusion can be drawn from people's assumptions of the artwork pic being somewhat “icy” and being able to see a face reflected in the picture. Can we really tell much else based on just THIS pic? No. So it’s a 50/50 chance at best that CALL OF THE DEAD is the title. However, I’d also like to point out the idea that the grayish blocks on the artwork are possibly hiding the important parts of the maps. IF this theory rings true, then CALL OF THE DEAD may not even be the full title, or even THE title. The possibilities now stem to DEAD (whatever’s under the tape), so the chances of CALL OF THE DEAD being the title are even slimmer now. SURVIVE *ahem* WHY WOULD THE TITLE OF THE NEXT MAP BE THE OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE ZOMBIE MODE?!?! The artwork on the poster seems to have been misinterpreted by people who think SURVIVE is the name of the next map. If you look at the other parts of the artwork and just use common sense, you’d realize the pattern in the artwork (Pay attention to the BLACK letters in these pics, if you can): SURVIVE Call of the Dead _________ SECURE The __________ Convoy SEIZE The _______ Zoo TAKE The ________ Hotel RAID The __________ Stockpile If the SURVIVE were part of the name, then the rest of the maps would be named TAKE, RAID, SEIZE, and SECURE. Not exactly map names now, are they? The SURVIVE ties in with TAKE, RAID, SEIZE and SECURE because they’re TELLING YOU WHAT TO DO ON EACH MAP, not giving you the names flat out. So that, in turn, should knock the theory of SURVIVE being the title of the next Zombie Map right out the window. Now that I’m done ranting, feel free to discuss the name/location/whatever else of the next Zombie Map in the pack, eh?
  18. I'm surprised no one else built on this. If the parts of the map names are crossed out, then the "Call of the Dead" isn't even the whole thing fellas. Call of the Dead _______ Just calling the map Call of the Dead sounds like it's own game, doesn't make much sense. Maybe the map name is Dead _____ ? Assuming the crossed out part is hiding the name anyway, and honestly that would make more sense, considering Nacht Der Untoten and Kino Der Toten, aka Night of the Dead and Theatre of the Dead (rough translations, but i'm pretty sure i'm right) Just, for the sake of our sanities, stop assuming Call of the Dead OR Survive are the official map names. Cause when you think about it, why would Treyarch name a map after THE OBJECTIVE OF ZOMBIE MODE PEOPLE?!?! **EDIT** Okay just thinking about it, if the map is at a particular locations where calls could be made, like a Communication Base, then Call of the Dead is a possible name, but it's about as 50/50 as everyone's else's assumptions. EXCEPT SURVIVE, that title for a map would suck, and it's still just the objective to zombie mode entirely.
  19. My only question is, to the OP of this thread, you said you "had every weapon laid out on the ground"? how do do you go about doing something like that if you can't go no-clip like you can on the computer? Doesn't exactly make sense to me.
  20. No. The DG-3 is definitely just a PaP'd Wunderwaffe DG-2. So then explain something for me smart one? When I was playing as Richtofen on Kino and acquired the Thundergun from the box, Richtofen called it the DG-3. If I remember correctly, he said something like "Oh Maxis, is this the DG-3? The DG-3 you've been hiding from me?" So just to clarify: The DG-2 = Wunderwaffe The DG-3 = Thundergun The Ray Gun = Not a DG Wonder Weapon
  21. I don't believe anything goes on with the Centrifuge at all. I had a team get all the way to the Death Machines and we tested a theory one of us found about the room behind the Quick Revive machine possibly being open/able to open with the DMs, but when we ran through the starting room to get there the Centrifuge didn't make any noise. Matter of fact nothing made any noise any time i've ever had the DMs. It's quite probable that the Death Machines are it, just a way to help your team get to higher zombie levels.
  22. And if we're talking about everyone's outfits, why hasn't anyone noted that all 4 characters and covered in blood, and that Nikolai's the only character from a 3rd person perspective who appears to have any major tears in rips in their clothing?
  23. I agree, a map on the moon sounds completely ridiculous. There's no evidence that Group 935 had a space station or a moon base anywhere is there? No, but there was obviously HOPES and ASPIRATIONS of going to the moon, both for the Russians AND Group 935. Wherever the next map actually takes place, HAS to make sense to the story. A moon base doesn't make any sense at all. Besides that, Richtofen doesn't exactly look like he's wearing a SPACE suit per say, more of a hazmat suit with the hooded part down. It looks almost identical to the suits you wear in the single player campaign when you're infiltrating Rebirth Island as Hudson, just in a different color.
  24. Back at World at War, but forgive me, I can't quite remember where I heard/saw it. Possibly something relating to Der Riese.
  25. Not ENTIRELY true. The Thundergun is the DG-3. Other than that, good find.
